April 28th also happens to be my 42nd Anniversary… Both Hubby and I play GW2… Does this mean we get extra points?

I think we need to hire motivational speaker. Those workers are not getting the job done. I mean, some of them show up for work without tools!
Oh no, we can have additional account if we wish. No prohibition against that. I had 11 accounts in the original Guild Wars.
As others have noticed, I play—every day—on my personal account. My goal is to get Dreamer, so I’m farming my little heart out.
Each ArenaNet staff member has a personal play account. This may be a new account created upon joining the team, or a previous account that the team member had before s/he joined the firm. Some team members also have a separate account for official business, such as forum posting. (That’s the one I’m using right now.) A few of us have a third account for playing, but we use that account in such a way that we do not impact the game economy in any way. (This is super helpful for player events, and the “no economic impact” makes it clear we can’t come to an event and hand out precursors. )
I think it’s safe to say that we all love the game!

Our first WvW Forum Specialist has found that he is no longer able to continue in the program. The Forum Specialist Program involves volunteers, and we fully understand when other projects and real-life demands preclude someone’s ability to continue. We wish our departing WvW specialist well in the future, and thank him for his service.
We would like to reach out to the WvW Community to ask for volunteers to join the Fansite Specialist Program. You can read about the program on this post. Please pay special note to the two brief posts that follow in that thread. The first provides additional information about the specialists’ role and the second addresses the question of “If I have an infraction from 1954, am I disqualified from applying?”

I’m stepping in here now. I think perhaps that Lauren’s recent involvement — for which I know we’re all grateful! — may have put her in the line of fire, just a bit.
So let’s figure this out. The fact that we have a QA Lead posting about various issues is a real boon, but comments like “explain your thought process” and “give us more information,” or “we expect this immediately!” are utterly counterproductive.
We like knowing more, here in Forumsland. We like getting the information that a bug is a known issue, that something is on the slate for correction, that the devs need additional information to reproduce the problem, or — happy days! — that a fix is coming.
Players like to know this stuff.
We like to tell you this stuff.
Even if the most we can say is “soon” and not “at 11:54 AM on XX date.”
The solution to nearly all game bugs involves multiple people. That means that Tom may have worked his bit, but Mary may need to do the next step, or Fred might need to step in later down the pipeline. This means it’s usually not possible to give you a precise time for a fix. Not because we won’t, but because we can’t.
So ask yourself: What’s better — some information or nothing at all?
If, like me, you like to know that something is known and is being worked on, that this is a far greater comfort than hearing nothing at all, then please consider:

When someone sends you a PM, report him or her. Hit the ! (exclamation point) in the lower left of the message and send it over for review.
If everyone would take this simple step before deleting and blocking, the team would be able to make significant reductions in spammers! It’s fast. It’s effective. It’s appreciated.
I would imagine that implementing a “Do not disturb” function is something that would be complicated and time consuming. I don’t anticipate that it’s a system we’ll see in the near future, and we may never see such an option. Keep in mind, though, that we already have a means for you to handle these situations: report, block, delete. And using “invisible,” while not ideal, is another means at your disposal.

I think everyone would agree that it’s better to go through a brief period of disabled access rather than allow the acquisition of a whole lot of unearned titles. But of course the best thing would be to get everything aligned so we can kick start the HoM and you can access it.
Again, very sorry for the delay and I’ll post when we have any new info on this.

I have not heard of any increase in system specs in relation to Heart of Thorns, but I can ask around and see if there’s the likelihood that the specs will change.
With the todays BLTC patch adding again two Miniatures for the Gemstore, I started to ask myself, when and if we will ever get to see a new set of normal obtainable Miniatures, most likely together with HoT perhaps

I like the suggestions you’ve seen here — and those are good ones, guys! I hope you’ll give it a go in the future, maybe forming your own group, joining a guild, or following the other advice in this thread.

If you’d kindly post the bug in the Bug Forum, I’m sure the team can take a look. Alternately, if you use the in-game support system, that would be helpful as well.
This issues was well addressed (many times, and on a holiday weekend) by our Technical Director. I believe these constitute reports of the same issue, and feel sure you’ll agree that Stephen’s involvement in that other thread (on a holiday weekend, no less!) was great:

We just heard from our Server Team Lead, and the team has done some magic in the background that should have addressed this issue for everyone.
Naturally, if you continue to have an issue of this nature, we want to know about it. But the team believes this should be cleared up now.
So… go take a few licks at some beasties for me, eh?
This appears to be a sporadic set of issues related to the forums and/or the game, with some unable to join, some getting booted out, etc. It doesn’t appear to be widespread, but we’re sorry if you’re having issues.
The team is on the case!!

Needless to say, this is entirely bogus. I am checking with the player who submitted this and this is the way in which it was received, typos and all. Please remember that we don’t ask you to go through this process (of actively canceling a request) in relation to e-mail changes.
