I found myself once getting instant downed by the spider’s “Devour” attack when I wasn’t even contained in a cocoon. Anyone experienced this?
I thought I was just blind, but I’ve certain this is happening since I have experienced it multiple occasions already.
After approaching this boomer during Tequatl events and dodging to avoid its deadly explosion, it respawned in the same spot to do another run and explosion.
There was no other Champion Risen Plague Carriers during the wave; just one among the Risen mob. It seems to have two lives as it reappears after exploding once.
If you found yourself getting instantly down and then dead seconds later, this may explain how.
I can fill in for the last boss.
- Eye of Zhaitan – A joke. It can be taken down solo in under 10 minutes with health auto-regen; faster if you summon NPCs.
For Temple of Grenth cleansing event, it can be done with 8 people if the group is OP.
This issue is still happening in Frostgorge Sound.
UPDATE:
Since the new content release today, the problematic zone has been flushed away and the disconnection no longer occurred.

Last time I checked, Temple of Dwayna is currently bugged on 50% of GW2 servers. Probably a few percent more now.
I think there’s some kind of resource leak after defending the cannon at Song of Lyss seal. I’ve had multiple occasions where my FPS will not go back up after defending the cannon.
I don’t know which update caused this issue. It may have started during the Blood and Madness release.
This issue is still happening in Frostgorge Sound.
AFAIK Veteran Risen Subjugators has no cooldown when spamming Wells. One can spam about 6-10 wells in seconds.
This zone is having network lag and disconnection issue. Can you please take a look into this? This is happening on Blackgate.
2. Agree but I’m talking about the ‘server main’ and not any overflow.
!
Repositioned nodes are not limited to overflow. Even the main server’s own zone can close on itself.
If you have people luring Risen mobs to Historian Vermoth while taking down Risen Priestess of Dwayna, the event chain has an opportunity to stall.
There are three reasons why nodes/saplings get repositioned:
1. New zone instance after a new build update.
2. Zone became vacant, thus “closing” the zone instance, until another player enters it to recreate the zone instance.
3. The zone mysteriously crashed, which may also disconnects or crashes players in the zone. New zone instance gets created after the crash.
This food regenerates health for around 22 HP instead of ~220 HP and I wonder what is up with that.

Getting junk when the trait triggers is a bug. I think the devs are already aware of it.
My instance just had an unfortunate bug where Veteran Risen Abomination spawned on the Megalaser and immediately charged it to death, but the hidden Tequatl achievement “Stay Dry, Stay Alive” does not trigger upon using the jump pads on the incoming tidal wave.
Does this achievement not work anymore?
This stuck bug seems to happen when I tried to revive someone but I couldn’t save him/her. Then I tried to move but for whatever reason I cannot move at all. I have no stun/lock condition on me that would prevent me from moving.
This is probably the bane of all bugs in GW2, since enemies in WvW are free to kill you while risking the opportunities to miss WvW Season 1 related achievements. I was enraged.
I won’t know how this crap got through new content releases, but until it’s fixed I will not risk reviving downed players in WvW.

I’ve ran into an instance where the shattered clock tower at the top won’t let me in, as if there’s an invisible wall blocking it. I left the instance after trying three times in a row, and joined another instance where the tower would finally let me in.
Apparently, the rotation of the tower is desynchronized between the game client and the server.
If you find yourself getting blocked by an invisible wall, join another instance, or try jumping half-second later and the tower should let you in through the wall.
The best fix method is going in the water or getting knocked out. Worst case scenario is relogin and risk getting queued or losing stacks.
Regardless, this is an annoying bug since Tower of Nightmares release.
I had the same issue when my team captured Jerrifer’s Tower. I suddenly teleported under the platform after successful capture.
Historian says “Retreat!” and then uses a vanishing skill.
The bug that was supposedly fixed in July has returned.
I don’t have a local.dat file.
Please fix the loss of sounds after hours of play in Guild Wars 2. I shoudn’t have to exit and relogin every few hours to regain sounds in the game, especially If I waited 2:10 hours in queue for WvW.
This issue has been happening since Tower of Nightmares release.
UPDATE:
Since today’s update with The Nightmares Within, the sound issues no longer occurred.

Elite Gorillas are nothing compared to King Kong that can spawn during Warmaster Jofast’s events.
All of the crafting merchants by Zintl Holy Grounds Waypoint are dead. They cannot be revived conventionally and I was wondering what was up with that.
This is falling in the same issue where the game client would start to lose sounds after waypointing or changing zones a lot.
These issues are happening since Tower of Nightmares went live last week.
It’s a bug that appeared when the Tower of Nightmares content went live. There’s nothing wrong with the sound card drivers.
Ever since the Tower of Nightmares content, I slowly lose games sounds and music over time until it’s dead silent. It seems to have happened slowly upon waypointing to places a dozen times.
Historian Vermoth disappeared, so the best guess was that he got affected by Toxic Corruption and disappeared after taking down Risen Priestess of Dwayna.
The other question is “Was the original bug fixed?” Considering that Historian Vermoth can still disappear after taking down Statue of Dwayna, thus denying everyone from accessing the karma merchant, I’d say no.

I was sad today. I went to Malchor’s Leap to join the event in progress when it actually stalled.
It is happening again. Event stopped progressing on Blackgate.
Second for mouse locking when viewing up close in 3D so that it doesn’t fly off the screen.
The only objects in depths that was ever fixed for stereoscopic 3D mode since release was the resurrect bar over characters on screen, which was a year ago.
The most things I’d like to see fixed are the star, green arrows, and ANet icons on players, as well as chat link codes in chat bubbles.
Any word about Taidha Covington’s health scaling? A group of 15-18 people tried to take her down but it took 8 minutes to get her down to 50% HP.
The meta event is however fixed a day after September 30, so people can try again in 15 minutes.
AFAIK 3D option only triggers for Nvidia 3D Vision.
You can force stereo 3D using TriDef 3D or iZ3D for ATI cards, but some elements will render at screen depth.

“This video does not exist.”
The ANet icons are even more annoying and more noticeable, since they always display on screen regardless if you have your mouse cursor focused on it or not.
You’ll see two large red dots on your screen, because the icon is not properly displayed at a 3D depth.
The only workaround I found is disabling Player names in Options menu.
Greatest bug? Or the greatest bug?
We were taking down Legendary Skeletal Lich when that happened.
Not fun to deal with certainly, but seemingly intentional. From notes in August:
World Polish
Risen nobles: Decreased the damage on the symbol created by their shadowstep skill.*
Except those aren’t Nobles spamming wells all over the ground simultaneously.
Opened few minutes ago on Blackgate (2:36 PM server time).
Two month later and this still happens.
I guess it’s intentional.
Funny thing is that we actually made it to the altar when the unidentified well spam left the Pact morale with 1 point.
He’s referring to this.
Logging out is not the best solution. Falling far enough WITHOUT DYING will fix it. Also, falling TOO FAR is not the best solution.
I think it’s intended. When that happens, a clickable side chest is rewarded if you completed Prince Thorn event the first time.
I thought people knew not to open malicious mail contents from unknown sources.
It’s not limited to SBI. Blackgate had a laggy moment with Tequatl as well.
The jump pad is a risk taker as you can find your self falling to your death after using the jump pad.
The Clock Tower is not lag friendly (as with certain Super Adventure Box levels), especially if you have a spotty Internet connection. Sometimes the server may not catch your character’s successful jump (even if you actually did on your side), and will teleport you back.
Try repairing the game files using the -repair command line on gw2.exe.
Opened on Blackgate as of 3:46 PM server time.
Somehow the start of WvW did affect PvE. I was using the jump pad during Tequatl, and as soon as WvW started, I mysteriously fell to my death.
Falling to my death while using the jump pad? This wasn’t supposed to happen.
