a.k.a Yet Another Bugged Tequatl thread
Actually, the Vigil Megalaser did its purpose as usual, but since that new content release on Tuesday, the Megalaser doesn’t animate after successfully defending it and the batteries.
The animation where the Megalaser aims at Tequatl in the sky and fires doesn’t play, so it looks like Tequatl gets shot from the sky by an invisible force.
Getting a new local.dat file will not work, since the map has been removed from the game content. The game client is trying to load a map that doesn’t exist in the data file anymore, thus causing the error.
Your best chance is contacting support and hope your character can be relocated, or wait until the map returns on a future content release.

I’ve experienced this and I also had to teleport a player out of it when that happened.
Thanks for the graphics fix!
Now the only thing left is the proper stereoscopic rendering of the star, green arrow, and ANet icons beside the player’s names.
That is unlocked on level 6.
A fix is obviously ideal, but, as I mentioned in my earlier post, it would be very nice to know if this might be considered an exploit in the meantime.
Calling it an exploit is not precise, since there is no advantage to the outcome. You either lose one of the chest, and the group will struggle to quickly DPS the bugged Tequatl against a short running time, potentially losing the Dragon Chest as well.
Lion’s Arch: Best +100-man dungeon raid ever.
That should not be a concern because we lose a chest if the battery phase is unable to start.
Anyway, more information is found here: Game Bugs > Tequatl bugged
Don’t do events in Blackgate’s Caledon Forest until next game update. This zone is experiencing multiple connection lag and disconnects, and you risk losing event contribution and chest rewards.
I’d suggest guesting on another server’s Caledon Forest until this issue is resolved.
Update: The connection and lag issue in this zone has been fixed since the last new build went online.

I got stuck in loading for more than 2 minutes when waypointing to Caledon Forest. Had to force restart the client.
Blackgate’s Caledon Forest is still lagging. People are reporting connection lag and disconnects.
I was not awarded event contribution and chest. I think this zone needs a reboot.
Another +150 players just gained the title. Fissure of Woe recently made the kill.
During and after we defeated the Great Jungle Wurm in Wychmire Swamp on Blackgate, people were getting lag and disconnection to the character screen.
My attempt to loot the giant chest did not work. I got disconnected to the character screen. Upon relogging in, the chest is no longer there.
The bug started happening again. We had to DPS Tequatl’s hitbox until he’s 25% again. He flew off and the timer stalled.

ATT world first Wurm’s Bane
Really? We got the title at yesterdays kill
Do you have the server time when this was accomplished? I’ve been tracking GW2 API which unfortunately does not track overflow.
Out of 51 servers, Blackgate and Vabbi were the only servers that activated the three wurm events since the new build came out yesterday. Blackgate succeed in killing all wurms in that same hour (7 PM server time, and another at 9 PM). I was not able to find out when Vabbi killed their wurms after that night though.
I knew before day 1 that Tengu would not give a skritt to what’s happening at Lion’s Arch.
After the 2nd megalaser/battery phase, we burned Tequatl to 25% so hard that he lifted up into the air immediately, but then the 3rd battery phase never started. The Megalaser is wealthy and there were no Veteran Risen Abomination that one-shot it.
However, the timer was still running (with 5 minutes to spare) and the in-the-air Tequatl’s armored scale effect continued to stack. Luckily we were able to DPS where Tequatl’s supposed to be while occasionally destroying the bone walls every minute until we defeated him.
We only left without a Rare (yellow) chest. I have not seen this bug occurred in this situation, and I’m wondering if this is going to happen every time we burn Tequatl too fast at every 25% of the health bar.
We had a mass group of +30 player escorting the 7 moas from start to the spawn location of the Champion Toxic Wurm, and all seven of the moas promptly disappeared as well as the dynamic event.
No event contribution was awarded, no achievement unlocked, and the GW2 API says “Success”, so I wonder what is up with that.
I’ve been escorting the ogres in Postern Ward for a few times now while attacking the Toxic Alliance. Minutes later the ogre event just disappeared and no event contribution granted, and I’m wondering what is up with that.
It’s hard to relocate the items I’ve placed in order. Please fix the inventory window. This issue cannot be ignored.
Ok, first off make a bug report
Did that several months ago. That did nothing. Thanks for trying to help.
why?? whats wrongwith it?? I like that minidungeon. its fun.
Some prick placed all the stones behind the closed door.
Sad to here it’s retiring. The depth rendering of cutscenes are bugged in Nvidia 3D Vision anyway.
Died illegally during Gates of Arah. Three times.
That looks like it happened at the time the servers were having connectivity issues yesterday.
Lost to The Shatterer during prime time. WORLD’S FIRST!
Game just lost connection to server and now I cannot log back in. I lost my opportunity to loot the boss chest and I’m wondering what’s going on.
This zone has suffered a horrendous lag during The Shatterer. It has caused people to disconnect multiple times and loss of an event chest. Please reset this zone if possible.
This is one of the things that’s keeping the game from getting a perfect 3D Vision rating. So far there’s no reply nor acknowledgement about this bug since I last created this thread.
I always use the “Next Target” key since it selects the highest ranking enemy. If you don’t have “Take Target” bind, “Next Target” may help.
On Yak’s Bend, we only had a mere 7-9 players that took down Taidha Covington with about 1-2 minutes left on the timer, so I wondered if today’s patch fixed the overscaled HP of Taidha Covington.
Before, we needed about +30 players to actually make a dent on her. But now with just several players we were able to take her down.
How do you know if this was intentional?
New content update later, Charrzooka still shoots one ammo.
I tried to waypoint to Bloodtide Coast as the new build update occurred. I was instead exited to the login screen for the update. After I rejoined, I was still in Queensdale, and I lost about 1s 50c coin.
We revived the NPCs after taking down the two Foulbear Kraal leaders, but the next event to destroy the huts and camps in Foulbear Kraal never started. Apparently, one of the revived NPCs decided to attack the ogres and died again. At this point the meta event halted after reviving them again. This occurred on Blackgate.
We have never completed Ogre Wars event since the new content/build update came out.
Just several minutes ago, Cursed Shore in Blackgate is terribly lagging for no reason. I got disconnected from the zone once already.
This isn’t anything new. Happens anywhere you find Veteran+ Risen Acolytes and with enough players around.
It wasn’t the boomers from Veteran Risen Acolytes. Elite and Champion Risen Plague Carriers spawned independently. But during that instance their name tags did not appear.
My guess is that a Champion did immediate chained explosion attacks, completely avoiding to render on screen or make any sounds at all, and they can explode more than once until their HP is gone.
I think their animation should change so they drop their carcass rather than disappearing after exploding.
During Temple of Lyssa, several players were instantly downed and then dead seconds later by what seems to be nothing on screen. There were no indications, no green smoke and no “charge up” sounds from a Risen. It’s just plop instant-down.
Upon checking the log I was killed by Unknown for 43,342 by Explode. The problem here is that they did not render on screen at all. I have not experienced this “silent” kill until the Origin of Madness content came out.
So the question is, did culling got enabled?
It probably helps if you post the screenshot of the probe blocking access to the vista.
Awesome effort everyone!
I had submitted a bug report about this, and awaiting reply about this issue.
I used one stack of Nutrient and it did absorb one of the drool attacks from the wurm. About five “Invulnerable” words popped up when hit by a single drool projectile.
This effect is extremely useful if you’re trying to keep your 25 stacks from the sigils.
Thanks for the quick response. It’s gonna be a hassle trying to find any spawned nutrients among the zerg of players in the swamp, as well dealing with the Parasite effect that may be active.
I’m getting fed up with the Wurm’s Drool attacks which spams about 2700 dmg 5 times in one hit, instantly downing players (and removing all stacks), and I wonder if there’s a trick to elude this annoying attack.
Blackgate getting close. Tried at 3AM server time.
Amber 11%, Crimson 33%, Cobalt 9%
Average of 17.66% HP
Did anyone catch the name of the large chest that spawns by Firthside Vigil Waypoint?
