imo bubbles will be the last ED we fight, it may even be after elona if it is ever released

it kinda makes me mad, scarlet is responsible for so much mayhem and destruction (and plot holes and lore contradictions) but at the end of the day, we’re the only onesw ho have destroyed an entirely new species, who are the bad guys really?

imo, kralky will be the 2nd till last we will fight, bubbles being last, they both give us ‘access’ to a continent after we kill them, so if elona and cantha are going to happen, it’ll be after those dragons, i think the most likely order will be: mordremoth/jormag, primordius, kralkatorrik (elona?), Bubbles, (cantha?)

as a biologist, i kinda felt bad killing the prophet after he said ‘i am the last of my kind’ destroying en entire species (genocide) isn’t really in my nature, could there have been a way to convince the prophet to help us? in the future i think it’d be awesome if you had choices in the living story that altered your home instance/changed what living story content you got

e.g. if we take the flame and frost format, 3 parts to a story, part 1 = everyone has the same but you can choose between different options (doing a mission in different ways, kinda like personal story) the outcome of which could affect part 2, where you have another choice to make, all of which join together to how the finale plays out

every so often you could opt to ‘save’ someone or something important, like the prophet, and they would appear in your home instance? perhaps they can then help you during the personal story, whenever it comes back (unlocking special missions), that way your choices would influence how your story plays out (that idea got me excited prior to gw2 release)

You can choose to forget about some of the reward if you teleport back to the presents (works one time only, then back to start) so thats what I do, its only 2 presents.

Then if there are only a few presents left, I can be ‘that idiot’ and set off the presents, most of the time I make it but sometimes I dont and i just warp back to Tixx.

they wanted to know lore-wise hence why its in this section and not general talk, when people ask about the elder dragons and what their motive/history is i could easily say ‘thats what the devs wanted it to be when they designed it’ but its not quite what they wanted to know

theyre lighter since theyre smaller, and maybe they have more compact muscles than the other races, they can also jump higher than the other races if we use jump to height ratio, and run faster

And the chances are no, not Elder Dragon related because they’ve been about since Prophecies which predates the Elder Dragons’ existence in lore/developer minds by well over 3 years. The concept of the Elder Dragons wasn’t conceived – or at least implemented – until after Nightfall, so anything that’s been around in GW1 since the first three campaigns are only related to the Elder Dragons via retroactive continuity such as the matter with Glint. And they only tied Glint (and the ancient races) to the Elder Dragons because Glint is a dragon and the Elder Dragons are ancient like the ancient races (though moreso).

it could be that they saw a feature in a previous game and say ‘hey we can use this in lore for our next game’ so the fact that they didnt exist at the time of design doesnt mean that they wont then come back to it

slightly of topic but still semi-related, whats our best assumption to the creators of the eye? I’m thinking pre-dragon jotun? its in the shiverpeaks and the dwarves (at least ogden) didnt know who built it and our characters said mady by something more powerful than men, im not a historian but do the carvings fit ancient jotun stones?

personally, i liked shiro, i found the factions storyline a bit tedious at times but overall i enjoyed it, same with nightfall (i should have been the 6th god… or at least the master, the master was a part of my necro team so he pulled his weight around)

prophecies was annoying with rurik, the prince so set on dying he’d run into hordes of charr with no back up… well eventually he got what he wanted…. twice

The fact that we all have to now suffer the permanent loss of the Abaddon Fractal.

Go read the lore on it. Yay, you now know what happens in the Abaddon Fractal. It’s old news, already written in stone. The Fractal won’t change that.

Sorry but I’d rather experience new stories and new lore, instead of reliving old lore that we already know what happened.

we know what happened because its written in lore you say? im sure what the lore says about it is EXACTLY what happened ( Abaddon was incensed and went to war with the others, and he was eventually struck down at the Mouth of Torment, in a blow that turned the Crystal Sea into a desert.)

well.. at least its meatier than “inquest make boom” id have rather seen and played a part in an ancient mythological war and see exactly how it turned out – all the wiki says is that – abaddon waged a war, and failed….. we know that from the title “fall of abaddon” so we know that part – what about the foot soldiers, followers of the gods, the epic battle and the finale that caused a break in the fabric of reality?

I’m just saying, kiel didnt even spend that money, she kept it all to herself, she needs to be removed from office… one way or another….

make the villian a friend, who then loses someone important to them eg family (because we couldnt protect them) and make them blame us when they turn evil

but i think the most important is to not randomly create lore without reason or break existing lore (eg all of the alliances so far [except maybe aetherblades, but the inquest would never work WITH pirates, should have made the pirates work FOR the inquest {airship battles would have been awesome}])

how far back can we go in the mists? i want to see REALLY far back, before the elder dragons…. maybe even slightly after, the aftermath of the last rise?

For all we know the steam creatures are sentient organic beings that created mechanical shells to protect their own weak bodies. The dwarves could have made them. Perhaps another race made them to fight the elder dragons thousands of years ago and they remained buried under the ice until recently. Who knows? I don’t think the happenings in the alternate universe of the ‘inifinity ball’ rule out alternative things happening in our universe.

abaddon was absorbed by a mortal (kormir) who i think was given a special ability by the gods to do so (why they didnt give it to me when i did all the work i will never know), dhuum wasn’t absorbed by a mortal, instead grenth who i think was a demi god but i could be wrong, replaced him (maybe absorbed half his power? *shrug)

maybe it could be something like the rabbit banner – square banner that has the symbol on it, then a ghostly guild symbol appears, shines for a bit then dissolves

i like my asura guardian and i dont want to get rid of him, ive used him for a year and i dont plan to restart

*racial skills are meant to be weaker than the profession counterparts
*traditionally (in gw1) the only transformation we saw was bear
*charrzooka is kinda like the elementalist weapon summons, 15 shots for 60 secs, and those are powerful
*none of the racial skills work underwater
*guardian tomes/renewed focus are very powerful if you know how to use them
