Guild Wars 2

in the early phases of the first game, guild wars was set to be pvp only, but they then added pve and decided to add lore and keep the name; guild wars 2 right now seems just to be a game that is set in the same world

please excuse the not-so-great editing i have done… i only had paint…

me and one of my friends were just messing around talking about funny slogans to put on t shirts for the merchandise shop ( https://www.guildwars2.com/en/shop/ ) we came up with a few good ones

the first was showing that you belonged to a group we thought of the charr legions and the asura colleges

they would have the logo of said group on the top right corner of the shirt (looking towards the shirt) with the group name underneath eg college of statics/blood legion

another one we came up with was a picture of an asura on the chest doing a thinking pose with a caption that says ‘Ratified Genius’

however my favourite one that we came up was an asura pointing to the side with a speech bubble that says ’I’m with bookah’

i dont really care about bonuses, so long as they have the food, if i cared about the bonuses, i’d be making a shed load of omnomberry bars (seem to be the only worthwhile ones)

Lions Arch is a pretty big coastal town, and there are plenty of places on rivers , lakes and other bodies of water, so how come is it that only Fishmonger Scipio seems to be able to catch and cook fish? other than seaweed and clams, there is no such thing as seafood

when crafting is extended to level 500, does anyone else hope that we can actually kill salmon to drop some salmon steak or the equivalent of other fish? my full course menu is missing a fish dish

we’re celebrating it cause its almost gw2’s 1st birthday yaaaay (party poppers and confetti)
as with every celebration in the real world, if you dont want to take part, you dont have to – same reason why i shall now ignore lions arch – i dont want to see the stupid hologram they made

a forge stone counts as a weapon of any type that is the average of the levels of the other 3…. i think…

this may sound like one of the countless ‘[enter dungeon here] is too hard’ posts but as a group of level 80s, me and some friends decided to do path 1 of the ascalon catacombs since we hadnt tried it in a while (from before the changes were done to it) and we found it REALLY hard and only just made it after about 5 tries at the final boss

Ascalon catacombs is the lowest level dungeon and in my point of view, it should be a bit easier to help new players with understanding how dungeon raids work etc, if I was a new player, just hit 35 (recommended for the catacombs) and decided to get a group of level 35 friends together to try it, I don’t think I could have completed it

and its strange because some higher level dungeons (eg honor of the waves, a level 80 in explorable) is MUCH easier to complete

if its over-farming that you’re worried about, please reduce the reward at the end and not increase the diffculty

in gw1 there was one for the chinese new year (canthan new year) but not in gw2, i suppose they want to wait till cantha is released for that one

I’m kinda disappointed that ‘bar brawl’ and the firing range aren’t going to be implemented using the first year anniversary, they’ve been announced since before the release and bar brawl even had its achievements available since release (though no way to complete them) when I heard the anniversary was going to be in DR, I got exited, then when I checked the upcoming features, they weren’t mentioned, can we expect to see them in 2013 or will we have to wait ages longer?

I believe their were unconfermed reports of Destroyers at the Reactor just before it exploded. Frankly, the thing with the reactor is it wasnt just another research base. It was the heart of Inquest research into the EDs. Knowing what actually trigger that explosion could tell us alot about the actual nature of the EDs and perhaps even their origins!

Clearly we should all vote Kiel. She is an upstanding and loyal Lion’s Archian with strong convictions while Evon is a dirty Ash Legion agent with hidden agendas. Plus Evon probably smells funny and just imagine how much of a mess he would make at the council meetings while he was molting. Cat fur…. everywhere.

it may have BEEN the inquest base researching ED…. but now CoE is plus whichever lore we learn in fractals (supposing ED have anything to do with explosion) we would learn somewhere else in the world, arenanet wouldnt deny fans any lore as important as whatever you may be thinking of

plus…. kiel is just magnus’ puppet so he gains more power in lions arch and evon can use his vast wealth to make lions arch better, voting gnashblade makes sense in an RP point of view as well as game content

We know what happened to Abaddon (The gods sealed him away for giving magic to the people like a GW prometheus) – but we know nothing at all about what happened at Thaumanova.

And what happened at thaumanova may be important considering the effects it had on reality have parallels to draconic corruption; it may give great insights into what the dragons are and do. Who cares about what the crusty human gods did centuries ago.

personally, I’m voting for Evon because of the fractal – mainly because I’m a huge lore nerd and this is my opportunity to see history first hand (#Animus) but also because i want to challenge Abaddon to a re-match dance off

in Kiel’s campaign quote she states “I’ve stood by the people of Lion’s Arch in good times and bad” ‘stood’ being the operative word :P
plus Kiel is more or less a puppet and is being ordered to do this by Magnus

What’s ironic is how Evon supporters are voting for him because of the fractal (due specifically to lore reasons). Yet they fail to take into account the lore being setup if Evon takes the chair.

Very much like modern day politics; voting for the greedy, shady money that’s been veiled behind “big promises”.

it’d be very hard to make all the possible combinations especially since i have ‘legend of the mists’ and im aiming for emperor – i wouldnt mind emperor of the mists though….
but if you have southsun stalwart, southsun of the mists doesnt fit and neither does been there. of the mists or legend of done that

having a ‘big’ tonic, a’petrify’ tonic and a ‘shrink’ tonic would be amazing, for the shrink one, it should have the description of ‘Drink me’

why would arena net do this? you have consumables that you can pay for to do the same thing

*minigames including bar brawl, firing range and most importantly steroid pokemo- pollymock
*house home linking to home instance via asura gate
*guild halls (possibly also leading to home instance)
*new fractals based on gw1 events
*brewing added to cooking (grenth’s grog/Dwayna’s ale as well as the regular alcohol drinks)
*limited edition first birthday cake recipe
*birthday cake festival hat with a single flaming candle

heh my favourite is “an Asura called me a bookah the other day, I think she wakittenting on me”
or in Rata Sum I overheard an Asura telling another Asura of when they tricked a human into removing his belt before going through the gate and had to walk through holding up his pants

i love this game, rather than shout at the forums about what we think we want for an easier time (i want my legendary nooow/ omgg i cant farm/why do jp suck/we n33d expanshun noooow/i hate <insert random quote from forums here>) we could try adding constructive feedback – have you been on suggestion forum?
like i said, i love this game, awesome replayability, fresh content every 2 weeks, VERY rich lore and amazing soundtracks/songs

I like guardian as Tyria has magic and guardian makes use of that, plus when I’m last Asura standing, people cant tell me that I’m bad at playing because I just come back with “who died first?”

I have 8 characters, one for each profession, my main is my asura guardian though (i love being a tiny little person while taking on giants on my own)
