thepoint of it being soulbound on use is that you cant just use it on all characters, it would be too much for people to be able to re-use their unbreakable tools when others have spent their hard earned cash on a tool for every toon, it’d be unfair on them. plus, there is no monthly fees and no purchasable expansions, arenanet have to make money somehow, be glad its like this

If at all possible, I hope you would spawn this event perhaps less than the original Dragon Timers, just to give a sense of “OH man, Sunless is up, I gotta do that!” Get even more organization on the front as a server, Also, making the rewards even more rare and wanted.

i was thinking about all these ‘erhmagherd nerd ner prerfersherns’ posts and i always say how this profession cant exist because of this reason or all the races cannot use this profession because of that reason, but then i thought of a way to get new professions without breaking lore or arena net’s policies on professions
my idea is to design and create 3 new classes, one for each armour type, and make them an ‘exclusive class’ I don’t mean you have to unlock it in game or buy it from the gem shop, but you have to earn it IRL, in my mind, this could be done by winning competitions (like the design/name a boss or the design/name a weapon that some of us are familiar from the first game), wining pvp tournaments or by code giveaways during gamescon
the 2 i thought of were: doom/shadow/death knight (the anti-guardian) – heavy armour
the sorcerer (the arcane mage(not elemental one)) – caster armour
and i couldnt think of a free niche in gw2 for the medium armour
these classes would not be any more powerful than the current ones.
so (other than all the work needed to put into them) whadayathink?

there is ALWAYS the ption for at least 5 non-mists dailies, i should know, i never go into the mists, gathering is always there, some form of killing one (50 altogether or 40 from an area) most times there is events/sidekick – 5 events/4 from an area/5 events while down-levelled, sometimes there is veteran, sometimes champion/group events

If this change takes place this would become my first legendary.
I love the basic design of the sword but Twilight/Sunrise are too monochrome for my taste (still the prettiest greatswords ingame).Eternity is currently hovering around the price of both Twilight and Sunrise, some days being cheaper than Sunrise, despite being double the legendary. Just show’s what people think of the crude “merge” we get.

although i am no where near rich enough or have enough time to go for this, i agree it looks better than the current one, at times its hard to tell the difference between eternity and the other 2 swords

you could just look at the various websites with timers, its not 100% accurate but gives a good idea as to the timing, scratching that, some guild members would announce when they arrive

i dont think low iq is in asura genes – intelligence is probably a quality that asura look for in a potential partner, everyone has them, some guys like girls with big chests/small chests/big behind/small behind/tall/short/blue eyes/brown eyes/green eyes/brunette/blonde/ginger/fat or slim, or chubby/ and so many different personalities
– for asura, other than looks and personality, intelligence must play a big part – a genius asura would ever put up with an asura that is less intelligent than they are
for charr, it would all be based on combat ability (muscle mass/size/kills) as such, there is no such thing as a weak charr, only the old or maimed – for born, they have to have equal achievements as we learned from that one quest in guild wars 1 when we nearly got married to a norn, seeing how each norn wishes to make their name in legend, each strives for greatness so there is no ‘weak’ norn either
basically – its selective breeding, low iq does not appear in the asura genome

you can see your personal story in the H menu – if you became an asura, it may still show you as deciding to go to the circus or finding out about your sister who was captured by centaurs, arenanet will not change anything that affects personal story

seeing how the elonians came from the south AND the north…. im confused, are there 2 sets of humans, one from the mists and one from south of cantha? why did elona have the colony in kryta and not orr? wouldnt orr have been the nearest other human settlement?

you need the other tiers – the emperor achievement needs all tiers (tier one at level 35, tier 2 at level 60 and tier 3 at level 80) for all races – altogether, its 36 pieces of armor per race which equals to about 600g worth of items – most of which comes from the 119g cost of t3 for each race

what i dont understand is – humans came with the gods, yet the gods arrived in what is now orr, and one of the devs stated that humans came from further south than cantha – is the whole alien thing another human belief? (e.g. that gods created the world)

out of lore for a sec, i think this year and maybe next ear is only the testing phase of living story, after that, hopefully there’ll be some more awesome stuff heading this way
having said that… it isnt really living… we havnt had much choice except with the politics and even then, kiel was portrayed as ‘the good guy’, if we, the players, had a choice for what happened next, that’d be awesome
fyi – it took either 5 or 6 years for us to have the ability to clear out the afflicted of cantha after guild wars 1, so i dont expect them to give us the ability to clear out the orrian undead any sooner – plus how will they seperate pplayers who defeated zhaitan with those who havent? and what if veteran players wanted to help friends who had only just gotten the game?

the recent announcement by queen jennah seems to indicate that we were successful in repelling scarlet’s invasion; however, i remember that 90% of the invasions i took part in failed… for future releases, can the devs please make it so there is a reason to win and not just “oh well, if we lose we still get loot and it wont affect the story” – give us a reason to succeed

The gift for legendaries HAVE TO BE SET UP AT 500 (instead of 400 actually) CRAFTING SKILL in every professions now if not it doesn’t makes sense.

there are 3 weapon crafting professions, 3 armour crafting professions, you can have 2 crafting professions active on one character at a time, basically you only need 3 characters to craft all full sets of ascended items including the not-yet-released armour, seeing how you have 4 character sots as default, one more character can use cook/jeweller so you dont really need to be that bothered, just spend some time on it and eventually you’ll be good :P

I would like to know when….. since they announced changes to legendaries but no changes on how precursor will be obtainable.
And its a kitten joke cause there are only few of each on TP, like 9 dusk, 5 the legend, 4 zap, when they are sold how should we be able to get them ? Should we wait for it to drop ? on a 0.000000000[……]0001 % chance to happen ?legendaries should be something that a player gets when completing some challenge, not just an immense amount of farming, and an even much more immense amount of luck !
i agree with this, just like with some of the rarer weapons in the first game, precursors are only owned by either the lucky or the rich, id rather work for mine using challenges, eg scavenger hunt, i think it’d be awesome if the same guy who sold pact weapons after killing zhaitan also gave out a precursor part (it would either need a seperate token or none at all seeing how most already spent it on some other weapon and would be annoyed)

reason we don’t see much of him is probably because he’s busy as it is underground. zhaitan never bothered to leave orr, there was plenty to have there, and i imagine the same applies to primordus. no reason to push = no push.
Ohhh…Zhaitan pushed… he went as far as attacking Lion’s Arch when no one was poking him. Its only after his attack at LA, the orders united & start pushing some real lines. Once taken over LA, he could have used the portals to go after any home world.
I mean I agreed that the dwarves are pushing his minion but they are limited in number unlike the destroyer force…I wonder why Primordus cant make more champions? The resistance to him is only breaking by each passing day. Isn’t it their sole role to corrupt / destroy all lives as we know it?
someone may have already said this, but zhaitan has been attacking lions arch ever since it was first established, read ‘sea of sorrows’

‘Dragons were not always the main antagonists of Guild Wars 2. According to The Making of Guild Wars 2 book, original drafts for story included demons and angelic beings descending to the world to judge it., – (guild wars 2 wiki on elder dragons) wow – that’d be awesome (once we finish ED’s/cantha/elona …. pretty please?)
it was only recently that there was no expansion being made at the moment- i think theyre going to use living story to add content that an expansion normally would, however living story is still in early stages – i think arena net are using 2013 as a testing phase – could be wrong though
