@Ludovicus – I don’t know how you can claim to know the complexion of a baby for a fictional race that we have only ever seen one of and in it’s undead form.

We also don’t know the expected life span of the race, how small they start, how big they grow to. They could live thousands of years and grow for a large period of that time.

On the otherhand, if those bones are indeed not from the great giants it would be interesting to see what they were from.

The supply of them by the end of the southsun event was way up due to the blooming nodes being added (a guaranteed drop of the passion flower) and the southsun crates (where passion flowers and karka shells were the undesired reward which of course meant thats mostly what they got).

The southsun crates are either no longer available or soon to be no longer available I would imagine but thanks to the blooming nodes being a guaranteed drop the price will likely never rise back up to what it was.

Also to consider, secret of southsun is now the second southsun event we have had and also the second time a container that drops the passion flowers has been added. How likely is that to happen again because that will for sure keep the value down especially if it happens before players start needing passion flowers for other things.

The sclerite karka shell may not be available to new players who would not be able to complete enough of the achievements and so soon enough the amount of people using the passion flowers for ascending that will go down.

As far as I can tell that leaves jewellery, cheaper to buy than to make, not too impressive statwise and therefore probably ignored if too expensive AND versatile infusions as reasons why people would need the passion flower.

For you to make a profit you’d need to be hoping no other methods of supply come up and more desirable uses for the passion flower are put into the game.

All that in mind and tbh I think you’ve made a big mistake investing as much as you have into them, I definitely would not recommend investing any more

So I gave dragon ball a shot today and after really disliking crab grab my expectations weren’t too high but to my surprise I quite liked it. That was earlier in the day though when I happened to be able to get a team were all the people there were actually playing. I have not had the same experience this evening though, 2 or 3 of the players on the team I was in were just there leeching, not doing anything.

Is there anything we as the players or even perhaps the devs could do to resolve this issue?

It’s not pay to win or anything and for the hardcore against buying there are ways to attain the stuff without giving money. I do agree the idea of paying for a chance to get something is horrible and should not exist but as long as people make it profitable for ANET to do so they will.

Solution implies there is a problem (which there isn’t)
Not every mini needs to be really rare and valuable but despite that, once the event is through and the ways of getting the pet become rarer the price will increase.

Simple solution go guest on vabbi server or any low population one, the holograms are in many zones in different places, add different servers to the mix and it is not too difficult to come across them if you want. Also people are not going to be camping them the whole event. Some people will but not most.

Well we will have to be with destinys edge when we fight kralkatorrik I’d imagine though it seems the next dragon we will come up against will be the jungle dragon (presumably named mordremoth).

yeah…. sure you could legally sell it but the thing is it has no value (since it can be found elsewhere for free) and therefore no demand.

They are a req 17 item selling for 7-8 gold, even the buy orders are 3-4 gold. Anyone know why?

I know you guys did it because reasons but it would be better for them not to be karma vendors at all than to have a BILLION of them with the same items.

I only just figured out it was worthwhile farming that area a few days ago so I am a little cheesed by it but it’s only really a bad thing if they did this and didnt bother to fix the crab grabber achievements, fixes should come before nerfs.

I would like to report having this bug as well. Also as a side note the bug report categories in game do not seem adequate, I spent a couple minutes looking for the right place to put this under but there was nothing obvious.

By interesting I mean either entertaining or informative (i.e. some kind of build, not well known facts or farming route as opposed to walkthrough a to b), felt like watching some gw2 videos but a quick search pulled up so much I wouldn’t know where to start.

No doubt there will still be complaints but I’m happy with it now

i wouldnt hate that but i think mf mechanics should be ironed out first as they dont appear to work with any kind of consistency yet and i am fine with minipets being purely cosmetic

I am referring to the heart quest Aid Fort Salma in Kessex Hills area.

The issue is that as with a lot of heart quests the menial stuff you are required to do to complete it is not as fun the second time around, especially when they fill the bar so little. It does however have a kill centaur requirement you could do only unless there is an event on the centaurs are just out of reach to contribute towards this quest when you kill them unless you kite them into range.

What I’m suggesting is if its possible maybe extend the zone it recognises contribution to the quest to thunder ridges so you could actually do it by kills if you wanted to.

I think it much more likely they would put in a new type of harvesting than a new tier

I knew the prezzy card had a currency conversion charge but I didnt expect there to be one in the first place, thanks for the link but its not going to help now I mostly made this post in the hopes that anet would read it and maybe at least alter the purchase screen to say it is in USD

First I’m sure that sounds nastier than you intended it but wow
Second I did not see anywhere that it said it would be in USD. It knew the country of billing was NZ so why would I expect it would still charge me in USD without saying anything

Just posting this to say I think it was not very clear at all that there was currency conversion involved in buying gems off the store.

I looked into it previously and there was nothing to suggest a conversion would be included in the transaction. $50 NZD is already a lot of money for only 4000 gems or so I thought.

Don’t have access to a credit card so I went out and bought a prezzy card and loaded it up with $50 thinking I could come back home, put the money through the store and get the gems I wanted but unfortunately currency conversion screwed the whole thing up and I was only able to get 2400 gems with 11 dollars or so left on the card

Its really quite a pain in the @ and I’d like to think that at the LEAST if someone from ANET reads this they will take away that they should make it more clear that even if it says billing country NZ and doesn’t mention USD anywhere that it is still going to do a conversion and screw it up for you

As a fellow kiwi with a limited income I can empathize with your predicament, but there are some options you could try. I’ve been able to use my visa debit card to buy gems in the past, but failing that, you could look at getting one of the prepaid visa cards (think they may be called pressie cards or something similar). Another option could be to ask your local gamestore (such as EB Games) if they would consider carrying gem cards.

Hope these suggestions help.

I did try asking at one or two of them and they didn’t think there would be enough of a demand. I would be interested in looking into the visa prepaid thingie though, thanks for the suggestion.

Is Anet aware of how increasingly implausible it is getting to swap gold for gems if you are a casual player? Its ridiculous, I thought Id have a look today and the 23G I had would only have bought me 800 gems.

I can’t buy gems online due to my personal situation and they haven’t bothered to make prepaid gem cards available in NZ as far as I am aware so there really isn’t a viable alternative.

Pretty much all of pve aside from the dungeons and fractals is soloable content and as far as mini games go they are adding polymock at some stage (from guild wars 1, sort of like a pokemon mini game). In the mean time I think we can expect to get a bit more solo content added once a month and possibly new levels to SAB.

Adding 2 more weapon skills per weapon would be incredibly difficult to balance and I don’t think anything like that should be on their to do list until they have fixed the many things wrong with the ranger class (and possibly others but I main ranger so I don’t know)

I like it so long as it is a home instance or NOT in lions arch, mostly because it has the longest loading time for me as its always so populated. In fact it would be better if it was in a home instance because then there could be stuff about things you have done in your personal story that they can’t really reflect in the pve world.

I don’t think that would work so well because then it would essentially turn all enemies into neutrals.

Just don’t show the account name after that there isnt really anything else to complain about

I dont think the trait stats go down when you are downleveled so you would have those as well. Besides, a level 80 character can go to a 1-15 area and get items that sell for 3-4 times more than what a 1-15 character would typically get in that area.

I finally started the razing content and I definitely think it is a step up from the previous stuff for flame and frost (though not better than sab)

I dislike it especially the 2nd one. I get that the not having room to dodge was probably a difficulty measure but it just feels cheap to me.

Nah the server reset hits us at about half 1pm on saturday and pretty much everyone goes on, haven’t noticed a major difference between that and a normal week day.

If it’s not too much trouble for them to do then yeah that would be great

While EU and America may be the only categories servers are filed under they are used by people all over the world. No matter what it is going to be inconvenient for some people and unless they make more considerations as to server categories I don’t see the point in changing the reset time as they will just upset as many people as they appease.

I don’t get it why is this an issue? It sounds incredibly boring to do and to be honest if people actually want to do it then as long as they aren’t making bots for it I say let em. How exactly would it negatively effect anyone else?

This is definitely bugged. I was at 6/7 listed on the achievement then I got the slingshot and it was still 6/7

if you’re bored I think you must play too much, there is heaps to do in this game

I definitely agree jumping puzzles need work but that’s mostly to do with the camera going nuts all the time. The only thing I don’t like about the jump mechanic is how when you get into a combat situation both your movement and jumping speed are severely reduced. I initially thought the jump height was reduced when playing as my charr in a combat situation but after using a sylvari I think it turns out its just slower and if you change the animation speeds of the larger characters it makes it harder to judge than the smaller characters.

They have now used the format for both halloween (the trick or treat doors) and the april fools thing and will probably use it again for something else down the line. If they were to make it permanent each time the game would get cluttered very quickly.

I am not a scientist but I’m pretty sure I would explode if thieves quickness skill was rebalanced before rangers
