So they fix the problem with the blaster, but still leave what I believe is the majority of players with a useless non stacking with older up to level 20 scrolls.

How is it useless? Create a new character.. instant level 20. Brilliant. Non-stacking? oh no, another slot taken. Delete it if you want.

I’d think something like the ability to finish Personal Story would be a higher priority.

So your answer is to spend more money to buy a character slot to have another one sitting at 20 that I won’t play? Brilliant idea. Do you work for ANet? I feel like you are hijacking my topic with your birthday present hate when it is just as easy to make your own and if you phrase it constructively they might even take what you have to say in to consideration.

Back to the topic at hand does anyone know what all those files being updated were about? Was it really all just regarding the birthday blaster fix or is there something else going on (think stealth content additions for positive or stealth nerfs for negative examples)

patch notes only say something to do with the birthday blaster and yet the client says it is downloading more than 500 files…. whats up with that?

i have to buy the pick that gives sprocket chances so hope that comes up

i suspect mursaat will come back into the story at some point (whether there were a bunch of them still hidden away from the world or we are just exploring one of their abandoned cities) and that would be the best time for something like these weapons to become available imo.

i think you guys are taking that article the wrong way, i am 100% confident that we will get the halloween and christmas events this year and that SAB will make a return, the only question on that front is not if but when. that article was really just saying they dont fit into the living world story at the moment and they don’t but as we are seeing this september the living story does have breaks and there is no reason the content that doesnt fit the living story cant fit into those breaks.

given the state of lions arch i dont think it makes sense in universe for them to be throwing dragon bash.

also where exactly did you hear super adventure box would not be returning because that doesnt line up with everything they have said and set up. I would also be surprised if the halloween and christmas events did not make a return

personally no in gw2 time i would not fight to reclaim ascalon, i quite like the unexpected allies scenario and besides i would rather be fighting the white mantle.

seems like anet cant win no matter what they do, add cool stuff like this that takes time and effort to attain and people whine that they can’t get it, don’t add stuff like this and people whine that theres nothing to go after.

my thoughts on it are if the elder dragons are supposed to be waking up 50 years or so apart (or at least that seems to be what we’ve seen this cycle) then mordremoth being woken early by scarlet could cause some major conflict between the elder dragons

im dead set against pale tree being mordremoths minion and also struggle with the idea that the nightmare court are following mordremoths will as well.

If you actually look into the backstory behind the nightmare court it does make sense why they would exist without being influenced by mordremoth

yeah to be honest i got bored with the season 1 stuff after the four winds festival because everything that was going on just seemed so disconnected with the elder dragons and previous lore which made it easy to walk away from the game but i heard mordremoth was awakened at the end and that got me to come back and so far i have not been disappointed. season 2 has been much better, keep up the good work anet

I think this goes with my theory that i stated in another topic that perhaps the pale tree manifested that thing from the dream somehow to get everyone to agree to the alliance and thats what made her so weak. the firstborn might have known that already which is why they weren’t worried

i got a theory that the pale tree manifested the shadow of the dragon from the dream in order to convince the world leaders to join forces and that the reason she was so weak was because that took a lot of power to do. the timing was just waaaaaaaaaay too convenient

yes definitely one of the highlights of this update and im saying that as someone who didnt really like canach previously

i believe i was playing in windowed mode previously but the auto detect changed that when i set the client up on windows 7. now i am playing 1024×768 resolution, had a look under the controls and it wouldnt even give me the option to bind mouse scrolling so i dont think it can be bound to anything.

edit without having changed anything i now randomly have the ability to scroll through my inventory again which is something
also i tried going back to windowed mode but for some reason it looks terrible now

hi, prior to updating to windows 7, scrolling the mouse wheel with the cursor over the mini map would zoom it in or out, now however it just zooms in or out of my character. while not anything near a game breaking issue it is something that bugs the hell out of me and if anyone knows how to fix this it would be much appreciated.

in addition i have discovered it is like this in the inventory menu as well, i can not scroll up or down through my inventory with the mouse wheel, i have to click and drag the bar

If the pipeline from start to finish is 8 months, that’s a different deal and fairly believable – but would mean they have to have been able to work on other maps in the meantime as well.

What makes you think they’re budget is big enough to have their whole staff working on the game full time? And if one believes that they’re making a lot of profit, they’re either having most of the money the game makes siphoned away towards other NCSoft games, or have been working on a major project since launch without telling anyone even the slightest thing about it in the last two years. If you’re asking me, the last option looks like the least likely one.

ive seen it mentioned in interviews that there were 2 big projects cooking in the background that were not the bi weekly living story updates or the feature packs

waaaaaaaay too many complainers, cant say i understand why, living story has been top notch since season 2 started and even though season 1 had its flaws there was a lot to appreciate there as well.

there are probably more scamming. Just that Anet will tell people that’s non of their business if people are stupid enough to send item through mail.

If you are sending via mail it is much more obviously an at your own risk type of thing than via face to face because that way you could claim oh i was tricked because anet used the same icon on items x and y etc.

Plus and this is for me the biggest reason against face to face trading is all the chat spam. wtb this wts that blah blah blah blah blah. As evidenced in GW1 even having a dedicated trade chat option did nothing to curtail the spam in normal chat and it was a nightmare trying to talk to anybody in any of the major cities, especially kamadan

But it’s not cheaper. If Utility Primers are just as expensive as Metabolic Primers, 5 for 550 all, then you might be saving 100 gems overall, if you wanted all the stuff to begin with. I priced the rest of the stuff in an earlier post.

well i was kinda taking it off the op, i dont care enough to figure it out myself but i do know that if i only factor the stuff in that pack that i am interested in it would most definitely be cheaper individually as that would equate to very little.

that black lion starters pack was much better

If you run past the green marker and interact with the actual city gate you should be able to exit to the city proper.

However once you do that the portal stone will no longer take you back to your original map.

I mean… you do realize that makes one of the only reason the stone is good pretty moot. It would be great if we could, say,, be mapping, go to home instance, sell our stuff or whatever and then go right back to continue mapping. This is not the case with Asura and Sylvari iirc, and that needs to be fixed. Right? Right?

As a sylvari mainer i can say that isnt true, sylvari have that armor repair merch near the exit although i have heard it is a problem for asuran characters.

what i meant to say was not all other things being equal mordremoth would be stronger but if perhaps because he didnt get to the point where he woke up because he needed to feed thanks to scarlet he was in a stronger position than the other dragons were when they awoke.

i was thinking if the elder dragons magic was seeping back into the world as they slept and they awoke naturally out of hunger for magic and mordremoth was woken early (each dragon seems to be waking 50 years or so apart whereas mordremoth was only a few years after kralkatorrik thanks to scarlet) might he not be more powerful than the other dragons were?

the first leader mentioned aside from the zephyrite(sp?) leader was trahearne which i think is significant although i imagine our living story quests will involve saving him

if you feel this bidding war is taking time away from you playing the game simple answer is to not participate in it, make an order you are comfortable with and walk away, let the order do its thing

do the daily every day and the monthly every month and you can buy unidentified dye to sell for 25-35s with your laurels (not sure if thats the best way to monetise laurels or not), certain event items you can get will become more valuable the further away from the event we get (ellen kiel representation button is selling for 2g+ these days).

make sure when you are farming to use a food item that gives magic find

All of World 1 and half of World 2’s Zone 1 was designed back with the original SAB.

The rest of the levels, including the Tribulation Mode and the bauble/life limits were designed with the Infinite Continue Coin in mind.

Paranoia much? I’d imagine it would be more profitable and less work to just make another set of baby minipets that they sell for a limited time only and they would get less crap from the players for their trouble.

the thing works on world 1 kitten so to even suggest it isnt going to work for future worlds is a monumental bit of stirring

I vehemently disagree with the notion that the pale tree is a champion of any elder dragon but even if for the sake of argument I allowed for the possibility of it being true it doesn’t make any sense that scarlet would be working to set the sylvari free.

She is manipulating things to her own ends and the lives of others seem to be inconsequential to her. Just by making the choice not to do what she is supposed to do scarlet has already freed herself.

I reckon it is more likely that the sylvari are like the worlds defense mechanism against the elder dragons and that each time the dragons go to sleep the entire race of sylvari do as well. With it seeming like the dragons will be defeated more permanently this time around it would be more beneficial to scarlet herself to do something to stop that.

can someone pm me what the specifics of this bug preventing progress on the invasion canceller achievement is as i am also having an issue with mine. i realise it is probably discussed somewhere in this topic but it is so many posts i cant focus on it long enough to get there. the help would be appreciated.

i was under the impression that it was not a direct thing where the pale tree gets every bit of knowledge from every sylvari and that whether or not information was sent back to the tree depended on the strength of that emotion or experience which is why the nightmare court torture other sylvari.

the battle against primordus is happening its just that it is happening underground and being fought by whats left of the dwarves. its a battle they are slowly but surely losing though.

I would presume kralkatorrik might be recovering after the battle with DE. At the very least he should be located somewhere in the brand as otherwise there would be more of it showing where he moved to.

also as other poster said, the dragons are not friends so why would they feel the need to avenge zhaitan?
