Sorry but I also disagree with removing champ bags as a solution. IMO the main problem is stemming from event design how in some cases you are rewarded more for failing an event than for completing it. Resolving that would be much better.

I had a problem like this last night, I think I had already done 3 of the level 70 story steps according to the journal prior to the patch. noticed the ones i were doing from then were said to be level 80 missions in the top right hand corner and they were not getting added to the story journal. As I worked my way through them it changed to say I was now doing level 70 missions again and those added to the journal. After completing the level 70 set all the level 80 missions i had done were finally added to the journal.

I think this is a result of how they switched some of the steps around but if you had already started it you just carried on. You don’t get a different story journal from everyone else though so it won’t unlock the entry unless the next one in sequence has been completed.

sounds like this is something bots would abuse the hell out of and if it were made unabuseable by bots it would lose a lot of its convenience value for non bots

i don’t really understand OP’s question. basically you make gold by selling things. so other methods other than selling them in order to gain gold is not known.

crafting i.e. can you make more profit out of the mat by crafting it into something else?

I really enjoyed the boss battles of Story Mode CoF and SE and would love to see more like them that introduced unique mechanics rather than being all about dps.

Would have thought that the instances at least would be taking place in old lions arch but just started a fragile peace and i am definitely in the ruined lions arch post scarlet

lol the games only had its 2nd anniversary, more stuff is being added all the time with new achievement sets + there is bound to be an expansion sooner or later that will add even more achievement points.

I don’t see the benefit in having mounts ankitten ot really interested in having one.

oh i hate those dye packs, not the exclusive colors but the fact that people will buy them and may not even get an exclusive color. tempted on the molten tools though

no way i like the old zones and dry top, do not need copy pasta event style for everything

I’m skeptical at the idea of it being a copy paste, would be a very odd thing to do. Obviously many elements will be carried through but I would imagine there would be some new stuff as well.

if everyone had a default speed upgrade who would use speed boosters?

I love it, without that convenience there would definitely be some days I would not bother to go back to the home instance despite all the nodes I now have there. Plus I think as time moves forward there will be more and more reasons to return both via in game rewards and the gem store. As it stands already I have sprockets, candy corn, quartz crystals and the basic wood, metal and food packs. When I get to it there is also a channeling skill point and that random loot chest that can be added to my home instance.

i think wvw map completion was supposed to encourage people to go and try wvw but i do not think that is working as intended

Thats Fine that you do not like Selling paths Goat. Really it is. but your logic against it is.. well nasomuch.

Dungeoning is meant to be done in groups so if there are less people doing it for such reasons it really does affect others who want to do it. On the other hand whether you want to sell your elder wood or not I can always go out and get my own solo.

I’m new to dungeoning, only started a few weeks ago and one thing I noticed is that it can be quite a hassle to find groups for dungeons that aren’t AC, CM or CoF.

If we had each weekend being a bonus weekend for a specific dungeon that might encourage more people to try it out, more people would learn how to do it and it would get played more.

What the bonus actually is is up for debate as long as it does serve as an incentive, personally I was thinking added dungeon tokens as that could be a draw for people wanting the armor/weapon achievements AND people earning their legendaries.

wow i feel bad after reading this topic was arguing with some people who I thought were just trolling other players away from getting their gemstore freebie and it turns out it was an actual bug preventing some from getting it free -_-

there are bad people in any mmo i dont think its fair to extrapolate that experience you had onto the whole community, ive played with plenty of people who are not like that.

i like them and i havent really seen any valid reasons to support collections being bad as long term goals in this topic.

but yes OP people who have been in the game a long time have probably seen most if not all of the unused portal areas in game (like there is one in fields of ruin for the crystal desert) and probably made the connection, plus there are multiple topics on it

I think the living world is a great idea BUT I also want expansions. The only thing is they would have to simultaneously be doing the living world AND putting out the expansion to get the best possible effect from it.

I don’t think new players will come to guild wars 2 because of the living world but if they are drawn to it by an expansion they could see the living world in action and it might convince them to stay

so did i…. at a guess i would say perhaps that 7 levels has been stretched from 1-500 whether that profession has the extra 100 or not. Whether that was an intentional or accidental change though IDK

i question whether people who are saying it would be boring can honestly know that given they have already experienced another way of doing things, it might very well be a better experience for new players.
leveling in the lower levels is much faster now so you’d be over most of the humps within a couple hours anyway and thats if you didnt have a billion skip to level 20 scrolls

It depends on the minis you’re missing. They might be for sale on the Trading Post. =)

I believe that poster is referring to the original set 1 achievement that required you to deposit the mini to the bank which you can’t do any more so actually the answer would be no, you can progress on the new achievement but not the old one.

the leveling curve has apparently been made a lot easier for those lower levels, how much time would you really be spending below them now anyway?

I think green tags would not have been a good idea because their main use is supposed to be wvw and so much of the map is green that they would not be as easily distinguishable as the other colors. Even large portions of the pve map would have that issue as well.

no there are plenty of historical achievements that new people will never be able to get so rolling back the points on people who did earn the first lot of achievements wouldn’t be right. just move them to retired achievements.

no old mini achievements required you to deposit to the bank. you can no longer do that only deposit to wardrobe which is a new achievement. it is not broken just unattainable.

old mini achievements for storing them in the bank are no longer attainable unless im missing something so can they be moved to retired achievements now?

Not completely sure this is a bug but for the first collection achievement he did count for set 1 but for the new set he does not. can someone please confirm if this is a bug or if i will now have to go after that jack a lope mini?

does not show up in my achievements, tried opening some champ bags of various types and it didn’t unlock

there are plenty of ap that many people will never ever be able to get (historical) so no I dont see a problem with making black lion collections give points.
