lol i want /plane too
Well I think a lfg system would solve the problem for pve because there shouldn’t really be any cause for saying the exact same thing three times otherwise.
With wvw i think it should be loosened a little to allow ctrl clicking of objectives
I disagree with this idea I think its fair enough to have to unlock the dye separately on each character.
If you honestly have a problem I will refer you back to the guild wars 1 dye system where dyes were single use for one piece of armor, so for example if you wanted the most expensive dye you would have to buy 1 for each piece of armor.
The current dye system is already much more lenient, we don’t need it any easier.
hmm, I always check when I pop out to eb or jb hi-fi but so far I’ve seen xbox and psn credit, a whole bunch of facebook credit and itunes.
I have a whole bank tab full of extra mat stacks that i had to withdraw so I could still deposit while in the field so adding depositable slots for all crafting mats wouldn’t make me not need more bank tabs if that was a concern for them.
FYI I did make this topic a while back https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Dedicated-Slots-for-ALL-crafting-mats/first#post820027
Mm doesn’t need to say who the player is but it would be great if it could have an on/off option to show location of all players in the zone, not just those near you like in wvw
Just something I found annoying that i have to have separate stacks for rams on one character and another. I see no reason why you shouldn’t be able to switch this item between characters at least.
Besides it being suggestion “50 trillion times” I am curious as to why people are paying attention that closely to their Digital characters underwear?
Why? Are you new to either humanity or the internet?
@ this topic yeah I like the idea, I’ve been maining my charr at the moment though so it isn’t something I would put a high priority on :P
I’m on Vabbi and I think dedication is a better term for what I have for it.
We were doing decently in wvw until some of the bigger wvw guilds migrated and I think the sudden decrease in wvw ability caused some individual players to change server to one that was higher up as well. That whole attitude sickens me, jumping ship only makes the servers even more unbalanced.
Are you aware if there are any retailers who sell those codes in New Zealand or am I left only with the online option?
Yes it sounds like a problem but I don’t think having a straight extra 10-15 seconds logged on is the solution. Some people generally get disconnected while playing and would not have willingly quit like that, they don’t deserve to be punished for something not in their control.
Perhaps they could have a lifetime honor system where quitting while under attack in wvw earns points against and after a certain amount that extra time logged in thing will come into effect. There would also need to be a way to clear those points but that would need to be thought out so that people don’t just clear those points and then abuse it again.
To be honest though I haven’t had this happen to me on vabbi, people who are losing a fight from me either try to run away in game or fight to the death and same vice versa, haven’t had a single quit.
Yes please, this would be great ANet
Yeah sure I would like this (though I can’t tell if its because its a good idea or because I’m lazy)
and no more magic based classes or attacks.
in a more helpful vein though TC I would seriously stop thinking if something is realistic or not in this game and rather whether or not it was intended by the devs, if its a bug report it and they will fix it eventually, otherwise you just have to deal.
I’m from new zealand myself and know about 8 other people from here who also play the game and it would be awesome to have an oceanic server. Having more region based servers could also end up being helpful in the case of any more one time events (that way they wouldn’t be scheduled to such ridiculous times for some regions
I’d rather they just make titles visible under the character name when you are holding ctrl rather than having to click
So now that I have maxed cooking I’m wondering what the benefit of it is, what do I get to craft now that I couldn’t at 399 or lower
I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about the rewards you get from jumping puzzles and while I agree they are currently pretty lame (except for the wvw ones which are actually useful) no-one seems to be offering up a solution.
I propose that along with the rubbish items that are currently being rewarded from jumping puzzle chests you also have a chance to earn an amount of tokens (from a variable range depending on the difficulty i.e. easy = 1-3, normal = 2-5, hard = 3-6). Those tokens could then be collected over time and used at a merchant for among other things a special skinned armor set.
The stats of the armor set don’t have to be the best as its about offering a unique and worthwile reward from the jumping puzzle chests.
It could be like that pool in the hall of monuments from the eye of the north expansion from guild wars 1
yeah for sure I like that idea
guards are only there essentially to protect from NPC spawns killing yaks. Without hiring guards almost every yak will be killed by cave bats/krait/colocol/drakes etc. before it ever gets to its destination.
That’s weird it sounds like something that would happen but I have never seen that before, often times i might be taking down enemy dolyaks and they get to the point where i take them down with no trouble and without guards.
Also to this topic yeah it is something I noticed the other day when I did happen across a guarded dolyak I thought I will try and at least get the event done before I die, killed the dolyak and the guards disappeared.
I don’t know how hard it would be to do this but I think when a supply camp has the upgrade for guards to follow the dolyak the event should be expanded to take down the whole caravan and not just the dolyak. That way the dolyak can be revivable if the player doesn’t take out the guards and the dolyak event can not be abusively farmed in a way unintended

You, like everyone else in the world who doesn’t pay extra money for a static IP address, have a Dynamic IP address. Some other random person now has the ‘network’ you told ANet to memorize. See my earlier post in this thread.
DON’T CHECK THE REMEMBER BOX. It might be annoying but the network you are saving isn’t YOURS. It is your ISP’s and they pass it around to all their clients every time your modem reboots or even more often depending on your ISP.
Oh alright I suppose that makes sense, thanks for the reply.
Yes this is a very big issue for me, all annoyance causing (and presumably unintended) bugs aside I don’t think it’s right or fair for monsters to be able to be invincible because they can’t attack you. If you are on a cliff attacking something and they can’t attack you that is smart positioning on your part and to be punished for that isn’t right.
Monsters should instead go oh I’m being attacked, can’t attack the attacker so lets move out of range.
Also in the same vein I’ve had some instances where I was in a fight, the monster was attacking me as well and then like it had decided it was bored or done with the fight it ran away and regenerated to full health even as I was still attacking it. I’m not sure if programmatically the two issues would be connected but from a player standpoint it seems they are.

This isn’t too much of an issue but I have told the email authenticator to remember my IP address but occasionally it makes me authenticate again even though I never use a different computer. Mostly I am asking out of curiosity as to why that would be (like I said to start as long as I follow the authentication process there are no issues and I’m not being hacked or anything).
Cheers
my whiptail devourer is bot the builder and my black moa is meatshield
It’s not just pressing 8 buttons though, its what weapons to use in what situations, what skills to use and when, character movement, usage of your pet.
The other classes are equally complex whether you think so or not but perhaps they fit your playstyle better and so you learn them faster.
Failing at playing a ranger does not mean ranger is a fail class it means you are failing at playing a ranger.
I think even if unintended and planned around this would have a negative effect on wvw
Gold accumulates like nothing when you are at high level, for you to even notice it the price has to be higher than if you were at level 1 where you might struggle to make 10 silver.
*edit
Although I do think if you are standing right underneath the waypoint should have no charge, perhaps up to a distance of 10 in-game meters away. I don’t see this having much practical use but I find it very annoying on the odd occasion where I have waypointed somewhere and accidentally clicked the waypoint again on my minimap and it asks if i want to travel there for over 1 silver when I am right under the thing.

If your reasoning was really you love the old way of getting it there is nothing stopping you TC. On the otherhand if your reasoning happened to be you’ve lost a way of earning money then you would have a reason to make this topic, not that admitting your reason would make me agree with you.
Also soloing the events? yea sure with my warrior no problem, but im playing my ranger, that couldnt solo opening a door by himself.
Seems like a l2p ranger issue tbh.
Not to mention most servers are high-full at almost all times.
It most definitely is a learn to play issue, I play ranger on vabbi a server with mid range population, leveled up to 80 in the first 2 weeks (I know its not as fast as some) and have had no issue soloing any of the content I needed to other than champion bosses which are avoidable if there is no one else around to help.
First let me just say I think I have a handle on why things get soulbound so this isn’t a topic about unbinding them, rather its about how when you transmute 2 items even if neither are soulbound the resulting item becomes that way.
I think there should be another type of transmutation stone where if the input items are not soulbound the resulting one will not be either, it seems like that could be useful in creating more valuable items to put on the trading post.
I can see this imbalancing the game fairly quickly unless it was a pve thing only but even then the stat increases should take a lot to get
I would say make it 3 votes for a 5 party group but 2 for a group sized any less than that.
we are i believe the lowest ranking wvw guild and could really use more players
Nah I like downed state even if it is a pain when used against me, also I like how wvw is just 3 servers of players fighting in the world over capture points, taking out mobs would lessen that feeling of being in the same world and I don’t think that would be a positive thing
I live in nz and have missed all the one time only content because it goes at bad hours when I couldn’t possibly get on to play it at so to be honest if oceania players at least get to stomp in wvw because of this then i feel its about even.
It would be complete bull to rework the timing for one but not the other.
The only time I’ve lost a 1v1 match in wvw with my ranger has been against a very high damage thief that I wasn’t prepared for. Also, a lot of this months wvw monthly kills for me were 1v1s. I’m not suggesting rangers are elite or unbeatable but if you know how to play them they are just as effective as the other classes.
We are an english speaking guild with members from around the world who are really just enthusiastic about playing the game. We do all sorts of things including (but not limited to) map exploration, dungeoning and WvW.
Anyone is welcome to join just let me know here or in game, if I’m not online at the time send me a mail.
Cheers
i vote yes for more wvw maps even if all 3 servers borderlands are still the same as each other so long as that map in question was different to the week before.
Yeah it’s a real pain to have to go through all the other kinds of armor just to see the type you can actually wear (I would definitely want this to be a filter and not enforced though in case you are buying for other characters or even other players)
No i disagree with this, its a personal choice as to whether or not you are going to run with magic find gear and it should stay that way. A good player with magic find gear will beat an average or bad player with stat boosting gear any day of the week so it isn’t something that should ever be a problem (read bad player will be bad no matter what)
Yes this was one of the features I loved about the guild wars 1 guild tab.
No need, a new account means the player will be low level and therefore have such a low cost as to be negligible. If in that short amount of time you mentioned they were able to get to a high enough level to have the price be more noticeable then that would indicate to me they are not newbies to MMOs and will not be frightened off by such a thing.
Well it should at least be equal, either both able to push off cliffs or neither and to be honest despite any fear of trolls or other issues I would prefer for you to be able to push foes off cliffs. I know its a completely different game but I loved doing it in Skyrim
Yes this would be great, I haven’t previously felt the need to such a feature but I can definitely imagine that I would if it existed.
Yep I definitely think this would be a good idea, half the time I go to rezz someone and they are gone before I get there and the other half I don’t bother because I’m convinced they won’t be there by the time I get there.
Sounds fair to me
Noticed how if you change characters without logging off it saves the other chat channels, but not guild chat which is annoying since thats the one I use the most. Would love if it could be kept as well.
no thanks, its easy enough to tell who’s botting, just report them. i can only see this idea hurting people who are not bots
