Nice. There goes that whole concept of getting one chest per day. Total Nerf to the entire casual community.
I doubt the entire casual community spends their time worrying about farming event chests.
Wouldn’t it be nice to actually play the rest of the game instead of just farming the whole time?
I’m a casual player 5 days of the week anyways (play a lot more in the weekend) and I agree with this, its not a big concern at all if maw timer is longer, I was surprised it was so short to begin with.
Didnt realise they had done that its something I thought should happen for quite some time. If a toggle option isn’t too hard to implement then for all means go for it, more options is rarely a bad thing especially when it comes to customising ui
People talk about how Rangers are getting treated very badly in the updates and to be honest I can’t say I noticed till now, nerfing quickness is a really horrible thing to do. Its one of the only things that gives many builds any level of effectiveness and now not only is it way slower it also increases the duration you can’t heal.
In light of that I really don’t see how the stun break being added to it makes the situation any better, you’re out of stun but can’t heal for an extra second so you’re just as likely to die.
Also PLEASE DO NOT point at a positive change you made elsewhere as if it makes this better (example agony resistance on pets). If I burnt down an orphanage people would not suddenly appreciate that because I helpt an old lady cross the street.
Reason I bother making this suggestion is because I noticed some very annoying issues recently.
A guildie was giving away some eternal tonics in a competition and I noticed it was from a set that I already had one of only the one I had was accountbound and the one I got from them was not. Neither of them indicated either way other than the fact that rightclicking on mine did not have the option to mail item or list on tp.
I looked in the guild stash later on and found some halloween tonic in there (I think it was plastic spider) and thought I have some of this why don’t I add it to the stack. Again the one I had appeared to be accountbound whereas the one in the stash was not and also no indication either way which was which.
What’s worse is that in this case, the items were the same so I withdrew the items from the guild stash and they went in the same stack despite some being bound and some not. Now the whole stack appeared to be bound but when I separated it out into different stacks again mine were bound and the others not.
I don’t like that any of these tonic type items are bound to start with (it seems ridiculously money grabbily) but thats a topic for another day, as it is there already seems to be a problem going on behind the scenes.
Its RNG simple as that stop being conspiracy theorists
I doubt that any reward for achievement points would give any competitive advantage and that would be the only reason I would see acceptable for fretting over new players not having daily, monthly, repeatable points. Why shouldn’t someone who has been playing longer have more achievement points?
bah if tp is the only way you will even try to get a precursor then you deserve the high price. they are only so high because people keep buying them at those high prices. If you got a precursor that wasn’t for a legendary you wanted would you list it at a low price knowing people would buy it for more?
If you can’t honestly say yes then you have no right to complain.
The whole supression thing needs to be looked at again and not just with commanders. A Guildie was running a friendly comp giving away some items for answering questions correctly and got suppressed on mailing presumably because the post contained the same content (the same item).
I thought double tap was a little too responsive, sometimes goes off unintentionally (usually in JPs) but it works fine in a fight. Well timed dodges can definitely make the difference in a close fight or if you are trying to escape from one you can’t win.
They might reuse the code and change it a bit for a future pvp match or something like that
From a player standpoint its hard to say. I imagine the refugees would still want their items back even if in southsun BUT how long is anet going to leave the snow and dirt covered items in game?
They are all there now so I suggest just in case to get everyone who wants the achievement to get it now while it is definitely available.
2. Vast VAST majority of suggestions will be things the person isn’t flipping. If they were flipping that thing, they wouldn’t be likely to get everyone on the forums involved in their market, ruining an opportunity.
That’s not necessarily true. For example lets say I wanted to flip black lion chests and bought all the ones up 3 copper up to 6 copper. I post a tip to people that they are flippable and they buy up all the 7-8 copper chests maybe more. Then I can put all mine up for 9 copper and bam profit is made.
I’m not suggesting black lion chests are a viable item to flip (although sometimes they are, especially around events like halloween and wintersday) but it does show it can be beneficial to share your tips on occasion
Live in New Zealand and do not have a way to buy gems with money, I totally would though if those prepaid gem cards would be available to purchase here and several friends of mine who I got into the game would also be likely to get some.
Small thing but in guild wars 1 you were able to press f12 then c to go to character select, with guild wars 2 you have to mouse it. Reason I mention it is because when I want to change characters my fingers continue to try the guild wars 1 way (its just lodged in there good) and hopefully it wouldn’t be too difficult a thing to add in.
If you guys had been paying attention to the living story you would know that it definitely appears more stuff will be added to southsun cove very soon. The dialogue among the refugees in lions arch suggests that they will be moved to southsun and I don’t think it would be out of the question that they would make more content changes to the area as well.
I’m fairly certain the actual rate is the same and the ‘fluctuations’ are just RNG screwing with you all
While I agree with this, it has also been my experience that I get more dye loot between levels 1 and 20 than further on (I’ve got 3 characters at 80, 1 at 32, and I’ve leveled 8 or so from 1 to about 18 as I tried various class and race types). This has been since October when I started. Again, maybe it is RNG, but it has happened enough to make me wonder if level is a factor in the calculations.
It could be somewhat like how Guild Wars 1 loot may have been calculated (not sure if this was ever more than speculation or not but people claimed that you would get more dye drops at lower level areas because the loot table would be smaller. It’s still RNG but with better odds)
I’m fairly certain the actual rate is the same and the ‘fluctuations’ are just RNG screwing with you all
Yes, many people would be fine with it being an upgrade to be able to have stacks greater than 250. Also the collectibles currency being like gold, karma and laurels would be great
Yes agreed 100%.
I think the mass opening one especially may be a little more difficult to program than the others but I would happily settle for being able to input a quantity of an item being purchased from a vendor.
Sure if its not too difficult to implement then yeah I would be on board with it
>implying you all wouldn’t take 200+ gold from the guild you barely know
This may surprise you but doing something like that requires massive amounts of scumbaggery that the average person just doesn’t have in them.
I main ranger and rangers murder underwater so yeah.
If you don’t like it don’t do it. Also don’t use the excuse of it’s not fair because I miss out on the rewards (not saying its an excuse you would use but others frequently do in these topics) because why should you get them for not doing the content? Should I get dungeon tokens without doing dungeons? No and the same goes for people with dailys
I like devourer retreat, often it has stopped my pet from getting rofflestomped
Can’t remember where it was but there was a place with an organ and if you played a certain tune it unlocks to a chest behind it. There’s also the hidden achievement for reading the 20 issues of that book in ebonhawke. There was an event in one of the zones that I found out about by talking to an npc on the opposite side of the zone who told me about a dwayna statue and then remembering that in guild wars 1 you kneeled and bought up the avatar I did that and started an event
Good to know, I was hoping those claims were baseless and that there wasn’t anything behind the scenes making them terrible. Not that I planned to be all signets but I do like the regen one and the one that removes conditions.
It wouldn’t work because it wouldn’t be feasible to test it all out
I like it, cult of the ancient karka huh?
I want dervish and I don’t care if it isn’t actually like dervish from gw1 because i really just want to be able to murder things with a scythe again.
I find the new dailys very accomodating of various playstyles so I don’t know what the problem would be. If you don’t want to do the locational ones there are usually other options.
I got one from the orrian jewellery boxes, had no idea they were worth so much till the other day when i sold it on the tp. Then i discovered what it was for and regretted it but oh well by the time i get around to needing them again i imagine anet would have made them easier to get from all you guys complaining :P
I go there once a day if I remember to get the JP chest from the easiest JP in the game. Also grab some passion fruit while I’m there.
Just wondering if the negative vibe around setting more than 1 of the utility skills to a signet is anything more than people hating on something for no reason. From my view I can’t see what would be wrong with it if it fits your build and playstyle
I definitely would like more epic/awesome options for legendary bows, as it stands now you have the hippy flower bow and the brony bow that shoots ponies with horns
I made mine white because I didn’t expect that to be an option.
Until I came into this topic I had no idea that what we’ve had so far was only meant to be teasers, knowing that makes it seem better. However it was confusing to see it advertised as a big thing event then have a lot of stuff that got added that month under the same article, it left me trying to figure out how any of it was related to the event (hint: it turns out it wasn’t).
Unless you are very lucky I would imagine it being cheaper to just buy a precursor off TP
I would like to be able to change character and not have the guild chat log be cleared off my screen.
If they do Tengu it will probably be when they do Cantha and if they do Kodan that would probably reintroduce a lot of the eotn and prophecies areas that are still missing. My leaning towards Cantha first is mostly based on thats how they did it before but I have since read about some issues that need to be resolved before they can go there.
I do agree that map completion points should not be put at the end of jump puzzles
Yes I did notice we are pretty good underwater, I was being chased by 2 players in wvw, they had almost killed me so I ran into the lake and from downed state I was able to lure them to me, raise myself and kill them. Another time there was a kitteny player trolling people in the JP, knocked them into the water and slaughtered them.
I think that would be pretty weird to have a reptile race randomly introduced as playable when there are already races that seem like they are intended to become playable (Tengu (they even have a home city right next to Lions), Kodan (they released tonnes of lore about them pre release) and possibly Largos)
I wish there were a legendary bow (short or long) that I could use and not feel like a hippy/girl/brony (the worse one) so hell yeah I agree with that.
I would like more utility with my utility skills, as it is I don’t think there are too many different effective builds that can be made with them.
I haven’t finished the story yet but from everything I’ve seen and heard already I would assume it is because players want to be the hero of the story rather than being the ones who help the hero. Coming from GW1 where the player is the one who passes the trials of ascension to be able to fight the mursaat and take down the vizier (and then similarly heroic tales for the expansions).
I know a lot of us find it really annoying to not be able to get map completion because of wvw so I was thinking perhaps should come up with some solutions.
1. Map completion points could be moved outside of controlled areas
2. Home side rotation could be switched so that each server gets a chance to start on each side. I cant remember ours ever being blue. I think we were red last week and dropped to being green this week (or it was the other way around but either way we skipped blue).
3. Visitor passes could be issued, perhaps 5 spots reserved for them per zone with a time limit (to prevent or at least minimize trolling). Visitors would not be rendered to players from any of the servers and those players would not be rendered to visitors (so that you can’t go into visitor mode just to spy). These visitors could go in through anywhere regardless of who owns it.
4. A point I was not a fan of previously but have been coming around to, perhaps wvw should not affect map completion.
Im always for more minis
I want to be able to wield a scythe
Don’t care what the profession is called or is capeable of I just want that.
Looking for ways to improve my build and off the top of my head there are two things to look at aside from skills and 1 is base attack speed of pets and the other is if there are ways to increase it.
