Well, I play in IoJ and don’t know what you are talking about, have never been ikittenone by myself. I’m in a guild that has 300+ active players on the server.

Plus I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure the community for the game is still growing. If they condensed at this stage they would then have to expand again to accomodate. Server condensing is something not even worth considering until at least the 3rd year unless the game in question sucks and noone is playing it.

Is there an achievement guide for this yet?

I think the day we get anything like this would be the day where they have super mega servers capable of hosting the whole playerbase because honestly it isn’t financially feasible any other way

I’m all for permanent content but I think the naysayers to the temp content would be proved wrong by stats. I don’t think there has been any mass exodus of players from GW2 since launch.

In terms of legendaries all I want is a (much much much much etc) less brony shortbow

nah one time events are timebound and then you would have all the people who couldn’t play at that one specific time in arms that they didnt get a chance to participate. Also there is NEVER going to be a time when all the players will definitely have the chance to be on for an event since they come from all over

If I stack might on someone I don’t think it is fair to siphon off credit for the kill they made but perhaps getting equal credit could be alright.

I never knew there was a limit thats dumb. If I fire up a barrage of a billion arrows into 20 or 30 people it would be ridiculous if only 5 of them got hit.

bah humbug there already exists out of game methods for getting a group and if you’re dead set on doing it in game join a more active guild. lfg is one of the lower priority things that need to be done with gw2 imo

wow an actual useful use for revive orbs, I never considered using them in that way before although I fell down after getting a vista on an alt the other day and was disgusted at the mess the asura have left down there

It’s not like when the events are finished they press the delete button and destroy all the code, it will all be there with the possibility of improving upon and / or putting it back into the game again later. I reckon for instance come halloween the clock tower will be back, even if they do a new one there might be an option to do the old one again as well. Same with the christmas content

Probably because of all the mario references from the bowser laugh at the beginning to the rainbow bridges and sentient clouds. Zelda was never a platforming game as far as I know but mario is.

That’s not to say you would be invalid comparing it to Zelda there is definitely enough to reasonably compare to both.

Now if only they would remove accountbound from all minis (except the HoM ones since otherwise people would just spam the heck out of them) so they could sell extras it would be great (Really don’t see what the problem here would be, its not like it would magically increase the number of them in game, they would still at some point have to have been purchased from the store.

You don’t need any of those currencies to get what you need in this game so whats the problem?

Do the box once per day (and with multiple characters if you want) and then just go about your normal pveing (dunno if the chests are in wvw too but if so then that as well). You will get plenty just by doing all the chests you come across.

On the one hand I agree it would be nice if we had a skip option but on the other it doesn’t really take too long and it is quite atmospheric.

Yes, but you -don’t- have a lot of precision, and then you’d completely lose your ally support and your area denial. Shortbow is more of a single target damage skirmishy (1v1) sort of weapon, the longbow can do -ok- in 1v1 but it’s significantly better in team fights than the shortbow is.

The shortbow just can not support the group as well as the longbow can.

I think you are missing my intended point. On every class that has the option to switch weapons in mid combat you have 10 weapon skills, not 5. When I was playing ranger I was using both longbow and shortbow, for all the benefits you might see to longbow there are also cd periods to deal with and at that point why not switch weapons especially since if you use them right they can complement each other quite well

No I don’t think this is a good idea. The whole setup of GW2 is not very friendly towards the idea of adding heroes/mercs either.
Personally I have seen there are usually at least a handful of people in the zones I go to so if you are not seeing that then theres a couple things I would point out.

1. Perhaps the server you are on is unofficially slotted to people from a different time slot to you. For example theres one or two that people seem to have decided is an oceania server. Does that mean you can’t go there? Of course not but on the otherhand a lot of people from the time zone would and if you are not from the area you may be playing when they are sleeping.

2. May be on a low-mid population server. This is an issue that will go away with time, either there will be more players or servers will end up being merged but in the mean time if it is really an issue to you I suggest getting some gems and transferring.

3. Join a guild with active members. If you struggle too badly with something ask for help from them.

Definitely this should be an option, some might want to show off their armor even in towns in which case don’t tick it but the last time I even thought of town clothes was when you could win a witch hat in one of the events. I would pay more attention of there was a box I could tick to have them automatically display in towns.

Happy to see someone from anet is still keeping an eye on the forums but I noticed they said we will just have to get used to the new quickness, I really hope that doesn’t mean they think the QZ skill is ok. It was rebalanced as if the ranger class is the same as the others but its not. Significantly lowering the overall damage you can do from the skill and increasing the risk. That makes QZ useless for its original purpose (burst damage) and as if in trade off the skill has been given a stun break essentially repurposing the skill. The problem with that is this – when do you need a stun break? typically when you are getting battered and need to heal asap. With the extra second added you can’t heal for that much longer. There is no longer any beneficial use of the QZ skill and I don’t see how anyone could honestly argue otherwise.

I dislike the whole air of entitlement going on here even in wvw why should loot be automatically put in your inventory? For convenience?
Bah humbug I say, although the idea of auto loot minis sounds good and it gives a practical usage to mini pets

TBH I don’t think this needs to be a suggestion, they did something similar with Guild Wars 1 so they probably have the idea floating around already and I imagine they wouldn’t have a problem implementing it down the road

I don’t see how they are like a debuff, its not like killing them puts all our skills on cd like guild wars 1 AND they can be quite useful if you use them well. Could they be better? Sure, but I think the QZ double nerf they are trying to sell as a buff is much worse.

I don’t see the problem, unless ANET starts actually charging a sub fee and you bought the game the week (or even being generous the month) that happens you ought to have more than got your moneys worth (assuming you dont play the oft ill treated ranger class that is) and can just not subscribe if you don’t want to.

Expected waiting time would be very hard to judge I think.
Entrance to wvw I think is done by if there are any slots free on the server, if not you would have to wait till someone leaves. To give an expected waiting time the best they could do is give an average and that is very easily distorted. Some people go to wvw solo as a fast way to do their dailys and leave ikittenminutes. A whole guild might be over there for a few hours and then split off at the same time to log off or do something else in game.
Perhaps instead of expected wait time they could give position in the queue

Well your 2nd issue makes it seem like this just isn’t the right game for you.
In answer to your first thing though play an air elementalist and trait it up for speed, they are fast as hell.

I believe guild halls is something that may be in the works (or at least in the books to be worked okittenome point) not sure it would be like you want exactly though.

It’s why I rarely change my pet loadout because I don’t want to forget the ‘brilliant’ names I come up for them (my pink moa is lord prime minister :P)

It’s a Gold-Sink that’s been implemented to prevent gold inflation. It’s one of those ‘necessary evils’ to prevent your gold from becoming worthless for as long as possible. The best implementation I’ve ever heard is free Way Point to LA (since we technically can already) or your character’s Racial City. Other than that, this isn’t going away anytime soon. So if you’re looking to save money traveling… well… better tighten your bootstraps mate.

Oh yes that would be both reasonable and awesome to not have to go to wvw first to tp to lions arch. I begrudingly accept that wp costs may be a necessary gold sink but since we can do it already with just going through a couple of loading screens I don’t see the harm, perhaps it could be done in the form of an item like the one that takes you to hall of monuments

I understand your frustration. My thief just started using haste and before I really got to get comfortable with it in PvE it was dropped to 50% ^^; Yes I was a little annoyed with the change but I completely understand that it can be used improperly in WvW etc on certain classes. Balance is always a difficult thing to work on, it will most likely never be perfect. But this is a step they believe will help. That doesn’t mean however that it can never change. Perhaps in the future classes will change to allow for this mechanic to be changed back or improved in some way.

Even if it is making the game better in other areas it is still giving the ranger class the short end of the stick and that has been going on quite enough already. Being that I main ranger it means squat to me that it seems quickness was actually nerfed to stop other professions from being OP especially since the rebalancing of the ranger skill that gives quickness looks like it was more of an afterthought than a legitimate attempt to keep it useful after the nerf.

As I’m sure has been mentioned many times in other posts by now heres what’s wrong with the qz skill now:
- Even using shortbow and accounting for the extra second there is not enough speed for it to do any kind of burst damage (it does an extra 2-3 hits than what you would have done otherwise)
- You are now unable to heal for 5 seconds, this includes regeneration which is important to keeping your pet alive in most situations
- They added a stun break which all but repurposes the skill and not for the better. When do you need to stun break? When you are getting battered. What are you likely to need to do right after that? Heal.

Not only has the skill been changed so that it sucks at its originally purpose, it isn’t even effective at the new one.

No, pick a guild and stick to it. There is only 1 excuse for being a member of multiple guilds and that is if the other guild is just for extra storage.

I agree with Goloith, it should not be gold based but then they would also need to balance out a number of badges or other wvw related currency that would take a good amount of wvwing to get, 1000 definitely is quite low.

The main use of QZ was the burst damage which it now doesn’t really do (someone did the math and even with shortbow it doesn’t seem to manage more than a couple extra hits. Any rebalancing of the skill that doesn’t solve that issue is really just changing the purpose of the skill entirely

Thats probably not true, the types of people who roll multiple characters have probably already done so but as with Guild Wars 1 I experimented with other classes but have ended up mostly playing ranger and if I can find another build that I enjoy using and is effective I will continue doing so but I don’t see myself spending too much time on bothering with the other classes

Well in case you are not quite aware yet the reason for the influx of these topcs is usually due to something about rangers getting nerfed, up till today it was never anything that bothered or affected me but nerfing quickness and then pretending to balance the zephr skill by adding a stun break and making it last longer (when that ends up meaning you will use it in a situation where you will probably need to heal but won’t be able to for that much longer now) really bugs the hell out of me.

How can there be so many people finding flaws with the ranger class and not only is very little being done to fix them but things are getting nerfed.
