what happens is a snapshot of everything in your bank is taken before you make your first beta character. once you load into that character, anything you take from the bank is taken from the snapshot of your bank and not your actual bank.

itd be pretty dumb to lock stuff behind an unattainable amount of hero points so i dont think the amount needed will surpass the amount available

id like it if there was new content but cant really say im expecting it considering the xpacs release but still…

maybe, the reason they didnt for the last bwe was so everyone could keep their progress but it seems that was corrupted…

no, its not a grind now to get max stats so even if you want to change them it wont be a grind to do so

they are on eu and i am on american but i thought it wouldnt matter because of mega servers…

hi what does that code mean? some friends were in a dungeon and needed some help so they asked me to come along. they were already in dungeon so i went to zone and got the prompt to join them.
however when i accepted that error came up and told me to check my network connection as well although there could not have been anything wrong with that because i was both still logged into the game and listening to music off of youtube.

i tried relogging and rezoning but neither resolved the issue.

Forge is just an other word for Smith … rolleyes and THAT IS A PROFESSION, itx just missing an R (Forger) for more correct grammar to realize, that a person/profession is meant and not the place at work of a Smith.

chest farmers are also event doers because of the shovels
plus chest maps do not ruin event maps, you can always lfg out

well lets say you are right and people do quickly max out their masteries in theory you would be unable to select a track to level and it should by default go to spirit shard leveling shouldnt it?

been working through the achievements for season 2 and noticed very annoyingly for the ones ive had to retry multiple times, you dont seem to be able to skip the cutscenes.

cant you at the very least make it so that when we unlock the ability to go for achievements on an episode we also unlock the ability to skip the cutscenes

the issue is not just storage space its that a part of our rewards would be rendered worthless. even if we avoid salvaging blues and greens luck essence makes up 1/7th of our daily login rewards

underwater combat is not very good. so many of the skills become unusable underwater and often you would not want the same trait setup as you have on land but i cant imagine too many being willing to go through and change that every time you go in the water considering most of the game is on land

Here’s a Revenant bug (maybe). I was playing Shiro/Glint, and some of the time if I would shift to Shiro, the Impossible Odds upkeep would be blocked out, and clicking on it would say something like “you don’t have enough energy,” even though I would have 50% or more and it is only an upkeep skill. This seemed to have something to do with having the Herald f2 skill active.

Yeah I came across that too but forgot until I read your post, definitely think its a bug

pretty sure there is intended to be counters for as much of the new stuff as the old stuff

remember this is a beta and they are not done balancing so perhaps some of the new stuff might be overpowered but that can change

my plan is to use them to try and get a leg up on my mastery leveling, didnt even cross my mind until i saw a post that people are doing the city map completions and using that in the beta.

by that same token i am also wondering if crafting xp will work as well although i cant think of any crafting stations ive seen so even if it does it might only be useful for pact tyria masteries

i hope that blue man asura is a placeholder for that kitten counciller in the living world s2 story

I was already excited pre beta because there was a lot of stuff announced I was interested in. My main concern was only 4 maps because that sounds real small.

Now that I have been playing the beta I can happily say that because of the way they are packing them full of content (and how what we have seen is only a small section of 1 map) I think I will be plenty satisfied with 4 maps.

if by zones you are referring to their 3 biome per map thing then no they are not separate instances. my understanding was that they were layered on top of each other. i didnt play the first beta so i dont know if that was a different biome or not but it is the same map just a different part

on the one hand i want everything right now! on the other though it has been a lot of fun working towards and finally unlocking even just the first tiers of gliding and mushroom jumping and it changed the experience of playing on the map a lot more than i exepected. i think if they want to extend that experience for a bit longer then thats ok with me

oh ok new plan then i will almost complete a bunch of zones and then do it 3 at a time….. bwahahaha

say for example if i completed a zone, got a chest for it popping up above my map ui, how long could i leave it there for? is there anything stopping me from leaving it until the xpac launch?

I have prepurchased and played in the 2nd beta and it is tonnes of fun, don’t regret it one bit and if you want to deprive yourself of that its your business but if you enjoyed the core game then I think you are making a big mistake

yeah i think that straight to inventory thing is what threw me off, i was expecting some kind of prompt telling me oh you got this item now. i’d say it could stand to be made a bit clearer what is happening but other than that it does work after all

i thought the map reward system was supposed to be active for testing. i can see the icons on each map saying oh this item is the next reward, along with some other rewards but after going to a zone i could not see any indication of how we are supposed to earn those rewards.

i gave it a go with 5 events in diessa plateau just because i wanted to see how it worked but the answer seems to be it doesnt.

is there a requirement to have map completion for that zone or is it actually not working at the moment (or some other issue)

well they are also testing leveling lengths of masteries as well as the actual masteries themselves

lol it will only be up while the beta weekend is on i dont think there is anything to fix and tbh if this is the type of thing that would make you leave how long were you really going to stay anyway

rytlocks first dialogue line in the beta doesnt play (during that cutscene where he comes out of the mists) and only because of subtitles i know he said anything (was quite kitten too)

queen jennah mini is completely useless if you already have one, kinda takes some of the wind out of a character reaching 1st birthday when you see and remember that. hell even if that use was trading it in for a spirit shard or something like that its nicer than destroying it because it simply has no use

4 maps and all of them are jungle, jungle, jungle. Yea, it’s hard to be hyped or stay positive about HoT.

well for a start remember the golden city is probably in one of the zones, thats sure to be quite different to explore compared to other jungle areas.

i feel like i can get used to daredevil over time, not like dragon hunter (worst name ever)

nope. not all classes in the game appeal to me so i wouldnt expect all elite specs to either and at the moment i am quite liking chronomancer, berserker and daredevil so thats a 50% approval with two more still to come.

particularly with the daredevil i have some build ideas i am really eager to test out
