I would never complain about more weapons but I don’t think content should be added with the intention of sating F2P accounts.
If something gets added for other reasons and is not locked out to them (as with some of the HoT stuff) that’s one thing but if it is something specifically catering to them that’s another entirely

Fixed the problem for me at least, have not crashed since I did that
Could be theres some sort of memory leak issue going on and if thats the case hopefully they fix it but in the mean time maybe that will help

simple solution (in theory anyways not sure implementation wise) make interacting with player placed objects a separate keybind
then it doesnt matter where they put it

i dont really have reason to scroll back through chat log unless i was afk so i just sneakily break something i was going to say down to a few lines of entering and it clears the log quick smart

I get that sinks are required but why in the world would yellow paint be made of those two items? come on anet

For centuries, yellow paint was derived from yellow ochre, which comes from Iron Oxide. Thus, the inclusion of Iron Ore.

Copper would be most associated with green, but perhaps that was the closest to yellow (yellow + blue = green), they could have used for a second mineral/ore.

my own personal experience of the journeys has been quite positive, I’ve enjoyed all the non mat sink stuff and aside from that do understand why there needs to be mat sink stuff in there even if it isnt as fun.

Tier 1 of Howler for example had me turning in to a wolf and hunting down various ambients across tyria which i had great fun with

perhaps wait if your main areas are fractals and wvw, not much has changed with fractals and wvw has a revamp coming

for me though it has been hella worth it

A commander will auto invite you- and if you decline- They will constantly keep inviting you. I just leave it up now. There is no sense in declining anymore knowing they will just keep doing it.

i have commanded a couple times now and from my experience this may not neccessarily be spam, i just invited everybody i saw was not in squad for my area, since it didnt involve typing the name or even looking at the name i wouldnt know if i was reinviting someone who had already declined

basically you can sum up what i want by new everything except raids which i dont have anything against but wouldnt specifically ask for

pretty sure they are working on a wvw revamp so aside from bug fixing id imagine they dont consider it worthwhile to make small changes in the interim
changes are made for pvps sake quite often so i dont know what you are talking about

when i did this achievement a few weeks ago I put up an lfg, got some people together so that we were holding the base i needed, making sure it got supply and defended properly and i got the spawn and the kill within the day

just remember you are probably not the only one who wants it so you might be able to find like minded people to work towards it

No way, keep them expansions coming I love it although ideally there wouldnt be such a long gap between release and the living storys next season

titles are great, if i see one i dont recognise and find it cool ill look it up or ask the person with it what they got it from and then put it on my list of things to work towards

i dont actually remember seeing an lfg search bar before so it might have been added this latest patch (or i was just blind)

just remember every armor piece they make is actually 5 pieces work

happened plenty of times to me doing lume armor collection but i kept at it, got better and ended up successful. i think people should stop complaining about things being difficult, if even 1 person has completed it than that proves it is achievable and that the problem is most likely your skill

I just think if content is achievable than you don’t deserve the reward unless you can do the content. If you fit into that you need to get better or give up on the reward.

For me there was a time lume armor was that reward but I kept practicing and earned it. Now it will be legendary armor but when I’m ready I will start practicing raids and hopefully get good enough to earn that

That is the whole point of gw2s philosophy, it is not too much to be competitive but how they get you interested in rewards past that point is through convenience, appearance or prestige.

I currently have 161 MP and have like 1- maybe i’ll get 2-3 more if i can make it past Hearts and Minds personal story that i’m currently stuck on. But I still haven’t done the raid MPs yet and doesn’t look like i’ll be able to as only the super difficult adventure MPs are left which i can’t even get silver at…. and its very, very unlikely that I’ll get anymore. Trust me, i’ve been through the list.

id imagine some people did stop playing but i’ve also seen many new players come into the game. it probably balances out, might even be more people what with the free to play accounts

It does change things for them, it gives them dailies they can’t do. It would look as if ANet was favoring players who bought HOT over those who haven’t.

First of all why shouldnt they favor people who bought their expansion over those who didnt? So long as they arent doing it in a way that makes it pay to win they are not in the wrong at all

Second as already said in the topic there are already plenty of things non HoT owners can’t do, and when living story season 3 comes out they will probably not be able to do that either.
How is adding a HoT daily diffferent than thaat?

yeah thatd be sweet, perhaps they could give a little of the map currency for the map you need to complete them in too as opposed to what the core tyria dailys give

can’t wait, hopefully it will be even more content packed than HoT now that there is supposedly no further need to work on core systems (i say supposedly because i most definitely would not say no to a beastiary feature or really any feature that could further expand on the lore)

highest lvl fractal ive done is 14 and i only even started fractals this year

if someone is using ap as a measure for whether you are fit for content then they are probably not fit for that content or at the very least they will be unfun to play with

I have my own problem with the map, in addition to the complaints above which I mostly agree with, the explore phase feels like it is barely any time at all AND if there was a timer it was not noticeable to me, trying to get exalted pylon HP last night and just as i was gliding down to it i got shunted back to the starting wp with a timer popping up for map closure (regular map closure not mega server stuffups). This is an HP you can’t get to unless the meta is complete so this means I have to do another full ds meta event just to get to this HP again

Doesn’t that mean the map closed because there were too few people in it? I don’t think the megaserver system cares about met progress or anything like that, it’s simply going off the population of that particular map. It doesn’t make sense for a map to be held open wasting server space/traffic just so a small number of players can keep going. Of course if the map was actually reasonably populated then that definitely is an issue.

It is actually a big known issue with HoT maps regarding mega servers since the xpansion dropped. I don’t know what it is basing its decisions on, to be frank it seems random to me but all of a sudden the game will decide the server is empty and it is going to close the map nevermind all the people grouping up to do metas

if the reason for a limit has anything to do with fairness then it needs to be expanded by the amount of historical achievements you can no longer get and the historical achievement points need to be stacked on top of daily

otherwise just remove the cap, it wouldnt hurt anybody

ambrite definitely needs a sink too so i like you added it

do pvp, pick reward tracks that give clovers and you eliminate the rng altogether

fire elemental and jungle wurm are in 1-15 zones, they are not supposed to be hard

tangled depths takes time investment to learn to traverse or so ive heard and can believe after spending only a little time i am starting to learn pathways through the map

i think it would be better if devs were given more freedom to just drop things in whenever as opposed to holding everything back so we can all make a big fuss, get overhyped and maybe disappointed

i finished off my dry top achievements the other day while i was getting geodes for a precursor journey and getting sand, they are all achieveable. Not only that, out of probably 10 sandstorms I went through only 1 didn’t make it to t4 and that was because it was overflow, (id assume it was from a map that probably did make it to t4).

There are so many things that make people go back to dry top plus some people just enjoy it. No need to nerf it at all.

Re: the triple trouble I was one of those people who shied away from doing it because of how hard I heard it was but over the last 2 weeks I completed all the related achievements because I needed the mastery points. Not every attempt succeeded but it didnt seem like it was a needs to be nerfed moment.

there are other places but that said people still do the balthazar meta
if you go there and it isnt done maybe consider putting out an lfg and getting it done

yeah this is happening in auric basin and verdant brink too and it is real bs, stopping me from caring much about the HoT metas (whats the point when you lose participation and get dumped into a failing meta)

I dont understand the aggro towards my suggestion, its not like it would be compulsary to reset your characters map completion progress it would just then be an option.

I was more thinking of the HoT legendaries because of how you only get 1 gift per character and sort of bundled the original ones into the same discussion because it seems like if it was done for the one thing it would be simple enough to do it for both

well yeah it would have to include all waypoints and hero challenges so its still the same amount of effort going in to it but i would not take away the hero points (also doing the challenges again wouldnt give new points).
the map fog would not be replaced though, as that was never part of the map completion required for the gift.

i think we should be able to reset map completion for both core tyria and HoT zones so we can do it again to get the stuff required for legendarys without deleting our characters if we have already done it all on them
