Did you pick up the cannon core that Horrik drops and bring it to the asura cannon on the airship? After you kill them there is a timer on the top right of screen that countdowns the time remaining until the enemy airship escapes. You need to fire the cannon to destroy the airship, not simply kill the boss.
It’s a bug. Don’t use the wiki which is wrong half the time, use the official update notes.
We’re looking into this, no changes were made to the encounter that I know of, so it sounds like some unrelated change might have introduced a bug. And as we’ve stated several times, we simply don’t have time or manpower to answer every single post, so it doesn’t mean that we’re ignoring an issue if we don’t reply right away. : )
We just tried the dungeon and main problem with me is that when i use elite (daggerstorm) or death blossom everything i hit say’s invulnerable… so 75% of my attacks is blocked or they become invulnerable. don’t think this is ment to be ^^ anyone else ?
They go invulnerable when the laser beam hits them (animation shows a shield around them and they have a “supercharged” boon).
Even when the laser is not up yet ? it happens before champion get’s in the middle. with golem it makes sense. didn’t see a boon on them but i can be mistaken…
The golem kill phase starts at the same time the lasers start O_o. Hard to completely know if its a bug or not since I don’t have a video to see but the golems get invulnerability by being supercharged, and Frizz gets invulnerability (and keeps it for the rest of the fight) at 75%.

Well there’s several ways to get through the pulls – Stability is king (which those 2 guardians in your group could easily push out) and use blocking moves or aegis when you are on top of the crates and see a golem about to pull.
A good general rule of thumb is to watch the golems (so you know when they are about to pull) and dodge roll when you see the tell (this doesn’t work when you are on top of crates since you will fall off), so try to jump on top of crates at the last second to minimize pulling risk.
Probably is the mini you get from Moa Racing AFTER Dragon Bash is over. Anet said that the helmed moa is limited time mini and would switch with a different moa once Dragon Bash is over.
Tip for AoE phase of the last boss. The AoE targets the players, so have someone targeted throughout the fight and stack (very closely) to him during the AoE phase. You should all be moving along the edges of the room (decide if you want to go clockwise or counter-clockwise). Should always try to have swiftness up on party if you do this. As long as everyone runs closely together you just need to be careful of the few cannon shots that land in front of you.
Amazing dungeon. The aesthetics and bosses were top notch. I especially liked the 1st boss and how each of the phases built off itself ending in a very face paced phase. The 2nd boss was also very interesting, though it would be nice if the health decreased a little because it does take quite a bit of time (and the main mechanic is dropping shield stacks, not really doing damage to her).
This dungeon would make a great addition to FotM and I hope future dungeons are the same high quality as this and MF (though imo the in-between parts of AR are much more interesting than the ones in MF).
Here’s the quote that essentially confirms MF will be a fractal
Any updates to the fractals will need to include additional update to the reward systems as well, agreed.
As for the jet pack, those specific rewards are intended as limited rewards you can only earn during that time, thus making them valuable. It wouldn’t be fair to the people who did earn jet packs for us to bring them back, and suddenly undercut their value entirely.
And yeah that F&F dungeon updated for size would make a good fractal wouldn’t it? =)
He said something about planning to make the more popular story dungeons come back at some point as well (probably through fractals).
They plan on making the living story dungeons such as MF and this new one as fractals (though they are making MF shorter and ??? about AR’s length)
My story was I bought 1500 coffers and opened them without a single ticket. So I decided to run AC explorable to get some money so I could buy more coffers (I have Colossus Fang recipe so AC nets me a lot of gold). I finish a path and get 4 coffers as drops. The 2nd coffer has a ticket in it lol.
I hate the idea of living story in some ways. It makes for less permanent content and more content geared towards people who play every single day. I for one do not play this game everyday. So having content that isn’t permanent isn’t a good thing for me, but I’m not alone. I wish the living story would continue and evolve the world, but I want it to be permanent in some parts too.
It is becoming more permanent.
The scavenger hunt (small) and the new jumping puzzle are staying from the sky pirates patch as permanent content. They also said they plan on making the more popular temporary dungeons a part of fractals (so Molten Facility and Aetherblade Retreat) as well as overhauling FotM rewards overall.
This essentially means that all the things coming from this patch (except for the quick conclusion instance after the dungeon) will become permanent at some point, though we may need to wait a little bit for Aetherblade Retreat to come back.
I suspect you will be able to redeem the tickets at any time from the Lionguard Weapon vendors at the BLTP in Lion’s Arch. (Those same vendors are still accepting tickets for Fused and Sclerite weapons too.) ANet’s probably built them to future proof upcoming weapon skins. However, don’t take my word for it, and let’s hope we get some official confirmation.
This was confirmed somewhere on the forums I just don’t remember exactly where the post was. They also talked about it during the Dragon Bash livestream 2 weeks ago though.
In other words you can be reassured that you can hold onto the tickets and exchange them whenever you want, without fear of the npc disappearing.
Best: Arah (Dungeon) with Mount Maelstrom being the best zone
Worst: Harathi Hinterlands
I’m pretty certain Jabberwock is correct and you could never get them from Black Lion Chests to begin with. Wouldn’t be the 1st time the wiki has been wrong.
I enjoy having small new things do to every 1-2 weeks. Makes me feel like there’s always something new to check out.
Yes, but what have you to say of the other criticism discussed in this thread?
Fine… I’ll make a long post if you really want me too (though I foresee this being a long back-and-forth if I write too much).
The Facebook releasing who the villain is was a problem, but most of the time the info is something you could find in game before they post it on other sites (Could tell Canach was the villain from npc dialogue, they announced dragon bash villain after they released the patch).
They aren’t going to stop data-mining simply by slowing down the amount of content they release. If you just want to be surprised don’t look at the item code (which doesn’t always work well because people might discuss it).
The achievements this time didn’t really spoil much (something happens at the effigy ceremony, we go see an npc, we solve the crime).
If you can’t play that much then you have new content updates every time you log (seems better than no change at all). On these forums there’s usually a bunch of complaints about not enough content. People have different wants and would complain either way.
Bugs (not to sure about exploits) would probably be lower if they released things at a slower pace. But, they fix them soon enough and then you can be back on your merry way with more content to play.
I enjoy having small new things do to every 1-2 weeks. Makes me feel like there’s always something new to check out.
Agreed. I think that they are doing a much better job in actually telling the story compared to something like Southsun (Canach is the villain? Ok, let’s beat him up!) by having more connected story chunks. However, simply using Asura Device X to find the culprit and have her spill what her plans are without even a hint in the in game world kind of defeats the purpose of Marjory being a detective.
Your wording is kind of confusing so I’m sorry if I’m not answering your question.
After stating where the 3 currently known suspects are the same mail says “I’ll continue the investigation into the whereabouts of our last two suspects”. This means that once the two other suspects are located (tomorrow) we will be sent an in game mail.
go and talk to Ellen, she tells you their location, however when you get there you don’t find them because you didn’t receive the location by mail.
Ah, I assumed that Kiel and Marjory had a general idea of the 2 remaining suspects locations (the zones they are in), but not their precise location. I can see how this could be confusing though (and I don’t think Kiel should even give the zone).

You can get a low level backpiece from (I think) the lvl 33 personal story quest.
We feel like our fractals dungeon is the perfect fit for this kind of “historical” experience, similar to the way the BMP worked in Gw1. Even better, it already exists and has explanations behind why these slices of time are available to discover and experience within.
In the future, you’ll see certain types of content that was part of larger story experiences be updated to work within the fractals dungeon and return there where it makes sense to do so. Of course, the specific rewards and achievements will not return since those are intended to be completed as the story unfolds, but the content itself will be used to expand out our fractals experience and serve as a place to continue to experience great (and strange) moments in history.
BMP was a bunch of side stories not essential to the main story. In fact, it wasn’t even part of the game, you had to buy the BMP (it was not an expansion) and it only had a limited purchase time. You can clearly tell this is not ESSENTIAL to the main story.
Living story is THE story. THE STORY.
How could you think fractals is the right place for this? Casual players who are so casual they missed living story (or had life happen — hospital stay, family emergency/family duties, deployments, or even simple things like being divorced and having your kid for a week or two, heck, even just having to do overtime at work) don’t want to do fractals to experience the story unless they were already interested in fractals.
Fractals is the elite dungeon of the game, the farming/grinding endgame, how can you put the main story there?
Admit it, you guys have no clue what you’re doing with your own game.
Players shouldn’t miss the main story. The main story should be available for them to play on their own terms. Specially as the gaming population is much, much older now, and we have a lot more life obligations in the way of our gaming than we did when we were teenagers!
Have you tried FotM before?
All fractals set to FotM level 1-9 (and probably higher) are easier than the MF dungeon was.
It’s not because it’s easy or because it’s difficult.
It’s because it’s not the right place to do this thing.Did you read the OP?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/lwd/The-Historian-for-people-who-missed-content/first#post2221128
You said it’s not the right place to do it because several people “don’t want to do fractals to experience the story”. Your reasons for why people wouldn’t want to do fractals is because it is “the elite dungeon of the game” and the “farming/grinding endgame”.
If we follow the OPs idea we would essentially get the entirety of Molten Forge back correct? If they make MF a fractal it is even more accessible for people who want to see the story because it would most likely be easier (at lower levels) than the original dungeon, it is a shorter version (so those busy people can finish it even faster), and it makes sense (if I die in a flashback why am I paying for armor repairs? If we lose did we fail to stop the molten alliance?). If a person only cares about the story they only need to do this one fractal and can then stop, if a person wants to do FotM they have a whole new fractal.
I don’t see how this isn’t the right place to add it.

Makes me wish I hung out in DR more so I could tell if they are new or not.
Good work. Wonder what kind of foreshadowing this is if it actually is new (Possibly future activities such as Bar Brawl).
The next major patch will include a story based around the Aetherblade (or somehting like that). It is steampunk themed and the armor/weapons already have been leaked. I am really interested where this is going and what the story will be. I hope they add a new dungeon to the game since the already have armor/weapons you could buy for tokens. But my feeling tells me that this will be another RNG based Weapon claim ticket and shiny limited armor sales on the gem store so that people can trough there money on them. But who knows, we can only wait and see.
I’ve heard there have been data-mined pics of gem store pictures for the armor, so I wouldn’t get my hopes up for a new dungeon.

I’m much happier that they decided to add it to FotM rather than just copying the same dungeon. The bosses were very well designed mechanically and it seems obvious that they would keep them for the FotM version. The mobs however, while well designed mechanically, would have you fighting the same series over and over again with no variety (plenty of groups had 1 Brawler + 1 Rifle + 1 Shaman, no groups ever had 2 Brawlers + X or 2 Rifles +X).
By making it a fractal it also keeps the instance more relevant to the players. A fractal version of MF would probably be even easier than it was as a dungeon at low fractal levels (or at least I know FotM lvl 1-10 is faceroll if the group knows the mechanics), while higher fractal levels where you actually need to pay attention to all the mechanics could turn it into a very difficult encounter.
3rd time I’ve posted the same message >.>
Hi everyone,
We’re aware of the issue and have been working on a fix that we hope to push at the beginning of next week.
Edit: Also I don’t know what stream Curo is talking about since from the very start they said for the meta-achievement you needed 10/14 achievements (with Case Closed not included). If you count total achievements there are 15, meaning all other achievements should be included in the meta-achievement.

GW1 wasn’t updated even close to the consistent amount of updates we are getting (someone’s probably going to argue about the quality of the updates, however, in terms of amount of content these patches are significantly larger) in GW2. Anet is a business, in order to fund this content they need to put things in the gemstore. GW1’s business model focused on pumping out large Campaigns/Expansions which were worth money, GW2’s business model is pumping out free, smaller content with money made through gemstore purchases.
Nothing in the gemstore is required, there are plenty of awesome skins that are available other ways (though I hate how a chunk of these gemstore skins use RNG boxes). If you really, really want something in the gemstore without spending real money you can always just trade gold for gems and buy it.

The Jade Weapon vendor also has tabs for Fused weapons and Wintersday weapons (the Sclerite weapon vendor still exists on Southsun). It should be safe to assume that as long as you have a ticket, the ability to buy jade weapons will exist for a very long time, if not permanently.
Since the grid was not present in the trailer, i spent a lot of gold to buy cuz i was hoping the grid lines were only in the preview. Between the crazy flapping of the wings and the grid lines on them i cant help but feel i wasted my money. I probably wont b wearing them. Here was my attempt to make them look awesome.
Notice how the grid lines totally kill the look =/
The grid was present in the trailer. I do wish it would flap a little slower though.
Should put you in town clothes so they serve more of a purpose.
Although this isn’t an official post, you should probably be safe holding that ticket for however long you need. In the twitch channel yesterday the dev commented on how they wanted people to be able to see all the weapon skins they created, even if they missed the event. So Anet made a multi-tab vendor who currently holds jade weapons, fused weapons, and wintersday weapons.
Did they give a reason for this? I can’t say I’m in a rush to go look at weapons I can’t get.
Then you don’t have to look at them lol. They said it’s so others can easily see the weapons they had developed. But if it stops people from worrying that their ticket will expire I can’t say I’m against it.

The fireworks last 5 minutes. If you stay through the whole thing you get the helm. Every 2 hours within that 3 day period the fireworks will start over again (meaning you have 12 chances to get this each day).
Yep, that was how they dd it in Guild Wars 1. The finale is on the last day and repeats itself every 2 hours. You only needed to attend one to get the hat that appeared in your inventory. Actually, you could get one each time you attended if you wanted to. Doesn’t say that here, but it’s possible.
oh really? So I can get this helm on all my chars? That would be cool
I’m pretty sure you are limited to only getting it once. You do, however get a light, medium, and heavy version (which all look the same) rather than being forced to pick a single version.
Go to sleep. Anet doesn’t actually wake up and go to work for about 7 more hours or so. The actual release time is not stated, however, recent patches have been released around 10 am to 12 pm PDT (this does not mean it will be released at this time, it could be far later).

Unless I misunderstood, it looks like the shattered wings can be purchased for the amount of… 100,000 Zhaitaffies! I doubt anyone grinding the world pop-ups, or via any other game play means, will ever come close to 100,000 ZTs over the course of the event, so people who want to go that route will likely have to purchase a fair portion of those ZTs off the Trading Post. Most will likely have to spend cash to buy gems to trade for gold to do so. Just another very crass way to drive revenue.
You get Shattered Wings by completing 10/14 of the Dragon Bash achievements. You get the normal dragon wings multiple ways including 100,000 candies, very rare drop from coffers, (I think) Dragonball, and the TP.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. First, I’d like to say that, even if the Dev team does not actively post in the forums they are always aware of what is happening. The mod team sees that they are informed of what is going on in the forums. However, we will forwad them this thread so they are aware.
Thanks a lot for your understanding.
Please, keep the discussion constructive and friendly.Wat you don’t even have a title. So we can safely say nothing reset either.
CC stands for “Community Coordinator” which is a title.
There has been developer feedback about dungeons many times over the past 7 months, with the most recent one (I think) being a little more than a month ago
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Molten-Weapon-Facility/first
That, however, doesn’t mean that there hasn’t been a severe lack of communication on the forums about how Anet plans to proceed with dungeons (which I agree with).
Absolutely. I didn’t mean to imply that I wouldn’t strive to obtain both. It’s just that my main is already rocking a very complimentary color scheme on her armor which makes the ones featured in the video more desirable.
That said I’m hopeful they will both be animated with the “flapping” motion but since I’ve only seen the “rare” ones in motion I don’t want to get my hopes up on the shattered version just yet.
They both move. Can see Shattered Wings in the video at around 1:50.
(edited by GoldenTruth.2853)
I was afraid of that. I’m guessing the rarer of the two items will have higher quality art and animations associated with it as well. The color alone makes a huge difference for me as I much prefer the look of the wings featured in the video. Yay grinding =/
The one that’s easier to get (Shattered Wings) actually looks better imo (though they both look great).
New dungeon is fine, my only issue is that the end of P 3 ( I think) with the warmaster NPC, is dependant on that npc not dieing. I don’t like NPCs and I don’t think they should dictate how a boss battle goes. Other than that, I like the new update to AC but I think that of you’re gonna make it take a little longer, bump up the loot tables or something. This dungeon is easy to pug so long as your pugs are decent players.
The real issue here is the overall quality of pug players. They are absolute garbage. People need to improve as players, instead of the dungeons being tailored down to easy-mode for them. Nobody learns that way.
Tbh the dungeon takes about the same amount of time simply because while the enemies have added mechanics, they also have a decrease in health. Also if I remember correctly they did update the tables such that AC chests drop dust (with the rarest dust drop being crystallized dust)
I agree that Warmaster needs to be changed (you can stand in a spot where rocks don’t fall, but I doubt this is intended) and with your opinion that dungeons shouldn’t be watered down. Although I know Hrouda has been working on the living story team, I really hope someone on the team is working on updating the other dungeons (and the dreaded dredge fractal)
I think it would be difficult to have a living story that changes Orr so much that it is brought back to it’s pre-Zhaitan state. However, I wouldn’t mind a fractal involving Orr before it is sunk.
Evon Gnashblade has a near infinite number of total make-over kits and has been known to occasionally change his/her sex in order to fully understand his/her consumer base.
Fairly certain that the tie in is that Magnus needed Kiel to resolve the issue at Southsun so that he and the council could focus their efforts on how they wanted to celebrate the dragon festival. Some people wanted to maintain tradition, while others thought praising the very type of creatures that are their enemies is bad taste. The Council agreed on turning the holiday into Dragon Bash which somewhat resolves these two conflicts.
This quote is also seems to be how Dragon Bash will tie into the Living Story as a whole:
“During the celebration, players will also be introduced to Marjory Delaqua, an investigator who travels in the shadowy underworld of Lion’s Arch.”
Edit: And the video they just posted just said that Kiel is playing a role in this month’s crisis so I suppose there is a bigger connection than what I wrote.

Or, ANet could stop favoring dungeon runners and make the open world as viable, since ostensibly their manifesto placed the open world as their priority, and I could keep up.
I disagree with this. Anet is not favoring dungeon runners in general, the only dungeon which is good at producing gold if CoF path 1 (and CoE for good groups, but this content is more challenging at least). In fact most dungeon runners complain that they could make far more money spamming easy world bosses than they could make doing most dungeons. The thing I hate about CoF is how easy it is, yet, how much gold it produces. IMO risk vs. reward is key: people who run FotM 40 should be making more gold than people who run far easier open world content (though they should also be making more gold than faceroll dungeons like CoF)
Question: After reaching level 80 and getting a full set of exotic armor, what is the point of even playing anymore if not to farm? The endgame at level 80 is getting enough cash for the skins we want.
Some of us don’t or can’t dungeon all the time. I’m disabled with an illness that makes me feel tired and slow a lot of the time, I need to take breaks more often that a speed-clear group will tolerate. But I can farm. I like farming. It lets me go at a pace that doesn’t make me feel more sick and I wish ANet would keep non-dungeon types in mind.
What actually is a downer for me is that Orr has been gutted and I noticed the events were not triggering between Penitent Path and Shelter’s gate today (only one was), and there’s a good event farm loop at Kiel/Drift/Pride, but everyone’s too busy chasing the Queen.
I have 250 more gold to somehow grind out if I want Dusk. I can’t spam CoF and I am stuck farming this up myself (because as a guild leader, I don’t want to pressure my guildies into feeling they have to donate). I need to do it before it inflates /again/. How am I going to do that now with Orr empty and Southsun constantly zerged by so many mob waves and not enough players at any one base?
And don’t tell me I don’t need anything. I’m a homebound and bedbound invalid, online is the only thing I get to do.
I know this isn’t really the point of your post, but you shouldn’t worry to much about Dusk’s price increasing. It’s been very stable for the past 4 months (and has even gone down in price slightly during that period)
Karka Queen
Karka Queen is bad, but Instigator is even more dull. But hey, at least the meta-event’s settlement capture is somewhat interesting.
Think they can still riot, like I sad they disable the riot when queen event is starting so you not forced to holding 4camps when queen is on cool down (=
The contracts are destroyed, there’s nothing to riot about O_o
