Will never forgive them for the “Publish a new clanbook a week” phase they went through. I bought V:TM, and the 6 original clanbooks then the Sabbat rules hit. Never have, and never will buy another World of Darkness product again.

For me, R.Talsorian Cyberpunk is by far my favourite system/setting. I played 2013 on launch, still play 2020 and Cybergen. V3 made me want to burn Mike Pondsmith’s house down. CP2077 had better be good or I’m calling up Uncle Putin and ordering a Tsar Bomba…

Well, my original thought was to maybe unlock all skins for all classes but then I remembered that there are different ‘connection’ lines for each class. A medium jacket for example covers in many cases all the way down to the ankles etc.

But yes, the general idea was for new skins to be multi classable.

Then maybe the possibility of making complete L/M/H armour sets available as Outfits? That would be a licence to print money for Anet.

So now we can use clothing skins to make our characters look different to the class they are supposed to be. I can wear Jungle Explorer outfit on a mesmer. I could put Pirate Captain’s outfit on a warrior. Or Fancy Winter Dress on a ranger.

Why then, in the name of the Six, do we still insist on having heavy/medium/light armour skins? Noone is asking for heavy armour on an elementalist… but this game is largely about cosmetics. What is the harm in having a warrior in a dress? Some of the heavy armour skins leave as much skin exposed as many light armour skins anyway. Why can we not have a dark knight, aka a necro in heavy appearance armour? Sure, some stuff can look goofy if you mix and match it, but isn’t that up to us to decide?

And since I am on the subject of clothing, why not make the old Town Clothes into Outfits? Keep their appearances as they are now, but make them dyable! Allow us to have some utility with our own store-bought gear. They were dyable before, but you took away what little utility they had and locked them into dull tonics with no functionality!

I wouldnt even mind if I had to throw in, eg, 300 gems per town clothes item to turn them into an Outfit. It is a price I would happily pay. Then you could re-list the ‘new’ version of town clothes on the TP as an outfit for 600 gems and make a mint! It just makes financial sense…

How cool would this look as a full Outfit?

I believe the new class has unities like all other classes. Its just they have different effects based on your “stance” or channels in this case.

In episode 7 of Living Story season 2, we were using the memory seeds which gave us visions as if we were Caithe. This gave us a whole new set of attack skills, utility skills and of course we could not change weapons.

The Revenant will be channelling legends of the past and will change the utility skills based on which legend is being channeled. A lot of people were hostile to having to play as Caithe: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/lwd/I-want-to-play-my-own-characters.

What if: The Caithe story sequence was used, partly, to gauge the reaction that players would have to having a pre-set skillset which effectively reduces the player’s build options?

Yay, dumb NPE strikes again… Yeah, it seems some devs or someone in staff can’t see these reasons… I still can’t understand how those icons were overwhelming… contrariwise, they can be an incentive to exploring. I NEVER got overwhelmed by those at my first char and I wasn’t a MMO veteran.

Yeah, I am just sitting here… utterly astounded… at that ‘reasoning’ for level locking unnecessary things. Though the stepped progression that means you can go from a 90lb weaking to Mr Apollo just by levelling up mid-fight even more astounding.

People who struggle with too many icons on a map as large as the starter zones need more than NPE. They need special education.

The entire NPE is ridiculous. All the players know it, and I am sure deep in your hearts, most if not all of the staff know it too.

Go ahead, take a survey in the offices. See how many tick yes to the “Are there too many icons” box.

I tested the Engie flamer today.

Deadly Mixture sure does work. I tested on Corrupt Ice Formations as they cannot be critically hit and do not accumulate Bloodlust (which I have equipped on my weapons).

Without Deadly Mixture, I was hitting for 2490, with it I was hitting for 2910 with a single burst.

Juggernaut however is indeed bugged and does not grant toughness in the stats table.

I understand the problem and agree with you, but it is usually a very quick thing to get a WvW daily to make up for it.

WvW brings me out in a rash. SPvP gives me a dose of bubonic plague every time my mouse hovers near the icon.

Thing is, with my work schedule, I often dont have the 1hr+ it takes to PUG a set of fractals anyway.

It seems 3 days or more of every week, I log on, see the daily options, and log right back off again because the options suck.

I can’t get groups up for Fractals and PUGging them is for the birds. So where was this better choice in dailys we were told about?

In a nutshell:

I would really like to be enthused about the Revenant class but until/unless I know whatever the hell will replace the utter car crash the Trait system is in now, the new class can go to hell.

These days I am not even saving any Tomes of Knowledge. I tried to make 2 new characters under the new system, got them to level 50-60 or so, saw how few traits I had and deleted them. Thats how I feel about the current system, I feel that progression is grindy and unnecessarily tedious.

On the topic of Masteries – it had better be a kitten good system and a hell of an improvement over the joke we have now. I will buy HoT on one of my characters, check it out, and it things have not drastically improved I will forego buying it for my second account and walk away for good.

World completion doesn’t include any dungeons. Its the entire exploration of PvE* + WvW maps, thats all.

*minus Southsun Cove and, for the time being, Silverwastes and Dry Top.

I have a back story but it doesnt fit canon GW lore so meh.

You need to try when it is very early hours on their server. If its a US server, try at 3am-4am US time etc.

What episodes/instances are you having trouble with? What weapons are your thief using? What traits/equipment does your thief have? We can help!

Pretty much every battle in episode 4, I was down more than I was up. I tried the first mission of episode 5 and gave up after the first battle.

I usually use 6, 6, 0, 2, 0 or 6, 4, 0, 4, 0. Even tried 6, 2, 0, 6, 0 and kept going down over and over. Using PVT and a Valk/Knight equal mix, both with Scholar runes, seems to make no difference.

Weapons are P/P and S/P. Can’t use daggers, motion blur makes me nauseous.

The thief is just the perfect storm of bad design for many of these story steps. Single target damage focused, with no survivability. As I say, its not so much an L2P issue as I monstered my way through the entire LS2 with ranger, engineer and warrior.

I’ve tried moving all my traits to vitality line, heal on using initiative, PVT gear etc etc. Nothing can help me survive more than 20 seconds against the mobs directly targeted at me. I’ve done the LS easily on 2 rangers, engineer, warrior, guardian… just can’t do it on thief.

I have no idea why the game was designed to send every single class into the same ‘kill everything to win’ missions. Its like your profession means absolutely nothing at all outside of PvP.

American Truck Simulator

I’ve worked out that trying to do LS series 2 on a thief is just frustration and rage for me, thief is just not capable of surviving battles in those instances. But now I have the green text continuously in the top right corner. I try to quit the episode, it just pops back again.

Is there any way to totally switch off the LS2 on a character?

I consider people who play a character but dont emote/type it in chat to be a ‘head’ RPer – as in, the RP exists only in your head. I plan and think of interactions between my characters and play some of them in TTRPG, this I would consider head RP.

So yeah, I am one even if I don’t hang out in taverns repeating my life story over and over for each new audience, as most in-game RP seems to be.

If theres one thing I find aggrannoying in this game its that I can use a flamethrower but not a blowtorch, can wield a toolkit wrench but not a Fixer-Upper…
