I’ve fought some insanely good Mallyx power revs. Downside is they have to insanely good, stab is easy mode. Reading stun skills is far greater skill, stab promotes lazy play.

T3 gold entering plat I’ve lost a lot of games, but games where it was heavily stacked against me. I only lose 4-5 mostly. One game was so utterly stacked the loss rating gave me a -1. That’s so utterly stacked the matchmaker should have mailed me telling me not to bother that game just afk. -1 tells me the matcher was 100% sure who would win and I consider my time wasted for making a match like that.
Walk into combat, accelerate to light speed teleports. Play style supports fast combos. The downside is that guard weapon coefficients are so kitten low only burning or traps can bring your damage high enough to kill someone.
What we want is a non rng way.
Having completed probably far more reward tracks than the above poster you can get a streak of 3 boxes in a day and never see another for 3 months. The rng is that bad.
Wvw still has a higher population than pvp. And most over players log in, raid then either don’t show up again or afk in la announcing their presence to the world seeking verification.

The healing is fine, taking 17k mauls from players with exotic pvp stats and receiving it with 560 toughness is out of hand.
Yeah I played core burns but with honor line as well up to plat, that’s about as far as the build can be pushed.
I lost a lot of games in low silver, but maybe lost 1 game through the entire gold tier. Now at platinum I’m getting a few more losses but still moving up. Seems gold and above is the functional tier where people who are there belong and those who don’t will move through.
At 1650 I’m still getting 10-15 a win and losing 4-5 a loss since whenever I lose its a highly stacked team. Hell the matchmaker stacked a team against me so heavily I got -1 for the loss. I feel like that shouldn’t happen, not for the lost rating but because the matchmaker pretty much decided I had a 100% to loss that fight so it wasted my 15 minutes throwing me in the match as a stand in.
I’m playing core guard hovering around t1 platinum right now. It’s funny how even the best players will either QQ about my traps which I don’t have or call burns op. It’s been fun but I know I’m maxing out the builds potential at low platinum so I’ll have respec back to DH if I decide to move up farther.

Also just being closer you still won’t catch up faster that’s an illusion.
Dps ele is perfectly fine, but people won’t run it since your support is so ungodly strong.
People still try to block through tof. Not knowing which skills are in lockable and which aren’t means you aren’t qualified for high tier play.
I haven’t had a problem much this season but one game I was set to break into platinum and got with a duo who had never pvpd before. Gave them a crash course in home/don’t go far but wasn’t going to win that by any means.
That’s why I dropped radiance to push it higher. With the honor heals from aegis, symbols, and dodge rolls the small damage boost from radiance is overshadowed. You can also off support for a necro when your ele is elsewhere.
Vs more than 2 you can get hit quite hard. You have to do one hell of a strafe to keep it alive, roll back then sword 2 to wherever they think you won’t be etc.
If you get killed without the other played being on point that’s not an op issue its l2p reflex.
Solod t1 silver to t1 plat on core guard. PZ throw a fit when they see a core guard in the match but I keep winning and moving up so they can QQ all they want.
Lol I’ve arrived in the pvp big leagues with the build I posted. Qued with a PZ duo vs some other esl players. Some random from Team PZ completely lost it, like serious threats when he saw my core guardian icon before the match. Won it anyways. Not only lessened my respect for anyone playing esl but from what I saw they had terrible map awareness and still got hit by easy dodges things like the khylo trebuchet. Made my day lol.
I run a defenders runeset/clerics set in wvw when zerging. Taking merciful intervention with valor its about a 6k personal heal, shelter gains an additional 2.3k healing for around 7.5k total. And your dodge rolls heal for 1.3k if you take honor w/ aegis giving 900 ish heals. Shield 5 heals for around 1.8k and any other meditations you use heal you for 2.3k a pop.
Now the defender runes make the deal, they heal for around 5k every 30s and give permanent regeneration for around 380 hp/s. Pair with your f2 virtue it comes to around 550 hp/s, but you still have enough power to make a viable damage contribution in a group.
GS is still good cleaving when people go down spin2win them and force another guy onto the floor.
Make weapon skills use very little energy, 5-8 or so. But make utilities stronger but less spammable by increasing cost.
This is a terrible change. Now my server doesn’t even fight once the matchup shows a win/loss about 15 mins in. We afk defend until the next one. 3-2-1 theres always someone close to you in score to try to pass or keep them from passing you. 2-1-1 theres a huge gap not worth bothering over. Nope no 2v1 here.
Why would you cut your games played from the ss if that’s part of your supporting argument? Or have you really not played 9k games?
Its fine as is. However I would support win only advancement if you received 2x the advancement rate for pips. This makes pve players want to win and anyone who plays enough will eventually get it.

I play a build that you cant argue to be op, core guardian. I started silver t1 and was able to take on 1v2/1v3 scenarios from a core class albeit I have 4 years exp on the core guardian. I blazed through silver and I’m 1-2 games away from platinum now, soloq the whole way with ~70% win rate. Being stuck 20 matches at silver is where you need to be. I could take my dh line and get more kills easy but kills do not win the match. Helping the team does.
Lol had to wiki that warriors have oh mace, in years of pvp and wvw I’ve never seen a warrior use it.
Serenitous Impact I assume to be a symbol from the 5 pulse standard. I’d change it to act like less like one and have it pulse from the guard like protection field on a scrapper.
If you get a bad player on your team stop queuing until they go into a match. Better to risk rolling better opponents than having them drag down the team.
The only game I lost tonight I knew I deserved to lose. Whether the matchmaking was correct to place me vs a play duo ele/necro is another story. They shut down my block heal every time perfectly, although I could take down the necro easy enough if I split his ele off prior. Didn’t lose more than 10 for it so w/e.
That’s misinformation and is untrue. Opponent and team rating plays in, personal contribution isn’t factored. Also your old rating gets soft reset by cutting it in half to forge your new rating.
I placed t1 silver since my rating was decayed due to skipping last season entirely. 66-70% win rate has me at t3 gold pushing platinum soon if I don’t get unlucky.
I would never run it as a signet, especially when there are so many retaliation giving traits.
Some mechanical problems with this:
1. No oh mace in game; designing it is outside anets ability right now.
2. Only 1 symbol is allowed per guardian weapon set. Having it on OH breaks that rule.
3. Stances are selfish by design (no team support). Rename it.
Unbreakable shield would be a great adept but unless the icd is per ally it would be insanely weak due to aegis already being negated by fast hitting attacks since hot. I like warding serenity though.
Heres the jist of the build but I wouldn’t recommend it for wvw. It works in pvp since people are forced to ress on a point, and you just don’t do that vs burning damage.

This wont work for the sole reason WXP is given to everyone at an objective. This would mean forcing everyone to be in the circle for every cap, and the server that can que the map gets exponentially more wxp simply due to more players.
You have almost 0 ranked experience. I wouldn’t expect someone who has only won 20 rated game to break silver, let alone gold.
I know one guy who was making death threats in wvw got perma’d quite fast after I reported him.
However your general trolls/namecallers can get reported quite a few times no penalty.
A lot of bad players queing t3 silver and t1 gold. Once you get to t3 gold youll start winning most all your matches. Once I made it there I’m winning 13 of every 15 games.
Only problem I find is people sitting the top slots with 9/1 unpunished not even bothering to play any more. I’m moving from t1 silver almost plat now after 70 games. Probably another 40 or so to make it to the top 250.
We need a minimum games played such as 40 to take on the 250 slots at midseason. They can keep their rating but not be ranked until they meet the minimum to prove it wasn’t a fluke. That or decay needs to be more harsh.
To remove costs youre asking for an entire class redesign. Hasn’t happened to anyone since launch so we can assume it wont now.
I play a core bruiser guard. In a pvp match I can do around 500k damage usually and heal 200-250k. Its great since I can burst people down while supporting my teams necro.
I lost a lot more at t1 gold than now at t3 gold (almost plat). I would get streaks of bad players I couldn’t carry and win maybe 6-7/10 matches. Now Ive escaped that I’m winning 13/15 matches.
I’m not sure legendary armour is still even in the works lol. Expecting some bs about how they need to work on other stuff and it has been delayed indefinitely.

I have hot and I’m pushing my core guard into platinum. I don’t see this thread as constructive.
I know I’m sitting right where I should be. Ofc I’m still pushing higher though.
Serious problem though is how easy it is for people to not even play that many games and still maintain the top slots. Make a rule that states if you are under 40 games by midseason your rating will remain but you will not be ranked as one of the top 250 until you hit the minimum number of matches required at that point. Someone winning the season with only 30 games just doesn’t seem right.
I’m 48w 22l, got silvered on placement from a few DC teammates and my decay since I skipped last season entirely. Only lost 2 of the last 15 matches now t3 gold only getting 10-14 a win. Apparently winning 13 of the last 15 means I’m settled lol. 1 of those losses was against a duo que of plats that were streaming and still lost like 24 for that. Unless my team were lieing the highest of us was gold.
They aren’t incorporating any personal performance metrics. It’s all your rating vs your opposing teams rating that determines it. Don’t spread misinformation.
Eles want a dos spec but they already have it they just don’t take it. Given the option they will take every defensive bunker trait whilst qqing they have no damage. I play a bunker guard? I expect to do no damage.
