You can get quite a bit +2400 I believe. This was some of my older gear with wasn’t even max/min.

I’ve been using Scepter/Torch with a Spirit Weapon build and it works decent. If they try to stay at range, they get chased by my Spirit Weapons and my Scepter dmg. If they come to melee then I have the Torch as defense. I’m also running Sword/Focus for more melee.

Pretty fun build works surprisingly well.

It’s a good tactic. You can even grab the grub and have it attack Stonemist.

Mirror of Anguish.

I mean it’s not the most practical trait. Thanks to the long CD, but watching a Guardian use Banish is hilarious.

It’s actually the least played profession…

Mesmers will always be “OP” to a majority of players. (they’re not)

It’s just the nature of the class. Any class that can make multiple personas of its self, will be deemed op. You could nerf this class into the ground, and people would still complain. Only way to get people to stop complaining would be starting the class from scratch.

Personally I love the Mesmer. Anet did a great job with the profession.

Yeah I’m going to be switch to your build when I save up enough gold. Your play style, weapons, and skills are pretty much identical to mine, only difference is you rely on burst, and I on condition dmg.

I think burst is the way to go though.

Like others stated the best way to deal with Mesmers is to be aggressive against them. Most just run GS and try to stick back and pew pew you, but if you get up in their face they panic a lot of times.

Also go straight for the player ignore the clones. Most players have it that you get conditions when you kill their clones, so you are only hurting yourself. Another big thing is you want to hit them with some type of slow or immobilize that will help greatly.

I play both so I have a pretty good grasp what to do for Mesmer vs. Guardian and vice versa.

I find Thieves to be one of the easier professions to deal with on my Mesmer. I have so many tools in my build to stop their burst. I can count on one hand who many times I’ve lost to a thief in a 1v1.

Yeah, I’ve been playing a tanky build since I got to 80, and it’s a blast. Good luck trying to hit me, but if you do my toughness is +1700 so it’s not going to hurt that much. Plus my condition dmg is +1300, so I can bring the pain too.

Class is a blast to play.

Well I’m glad people enjoy them. I run a tankyish condition build. Pretty much it just becomes a war of attrition.

I think I have a decent balance going on right now with my stats condition dmg at +1300, running 0/25/25/0/20. Also really loving the sword offhand, never bothered with it too much until recently. You get a block/daze and good dps. Plus it has the lowest CDs of all the offhands.

Future vids I’ll try to keep shorter. Thanks for the feedback.

Well I’m making another video, problem is it’s kinda long ten minutes. I’m trying to put only good fights in it. No instagib gameplay. Just wondering if people want to watch ten minutes of gameplay or should I shorten it?

This is for condition build Mesmers! So I was playing around today. Trying different things out, and I found a set up that is quite affect. So what you’ll need:

4 Superior Rune of the Krait.
(1): +28 condition damage
(2): +15% bleeding bleed duration
(3): +55 condition damage
(4): 5% chance to cause bleeding for 10 seconds when hit. (Cooldown: 5s)

2 Superior Runes of the Afflicted
(1): +28 condition damage
(2): +15% bleeding duration

Superior Sigil of Agony
Increased inflicted bleeding duration: 10%

Your weapon of choice will be the staff for Winds of Chaos, and the only traits the are required are:

Sharper Images: Illusions inflict bleeding on critical hits.
Illusionary Elasticity: Bouncing attacks have one additional bounce.

The amount of bleeding you get is insane. I can easily get +10 stacks of bleeding in a few seconds. Go ahead and try it.

Northwest side of the island. You’ll see a bunch of floating rocks.

Yeah, it was pretty brutal, and ofc the rewards sucked at the end.

And the best part would have the ships pilotable. This would be so EPIC

I’m actually curious about your guys’ Mesmers. He or she is really good, I mean easily the best I’ve seen by far. You can skip to around 4:25 that’s when the fight starts. Interference from both sides so I can’t complain. A 1v1 would be awesome, love going against people better then me.

I love Mass Invisibility. Only 90 seconds CD, while all the other elites are +180 seconds. Meaning I can use it twice by the time you use just one.

Do you want survivability or more damage.

Another thing is you don’t have to go a full set. You can mix and match to get what works best for you.

I find Badges pointless. All they’re good for is the Gift of Battle and siege if you’re poor. The Invaders gear is ugly, and only has set type. Plus it’s expensive. A full set is 1889 badges….really Anet?

Unique skins like the others stated would be nice.

Well I was able to get to 1473 by going 0/25/25/0/20. Think I’ll be good there.

Guardians can also rez people with Signet of Mercy.

Necro is extremely bulky compared to a Mesmer. PvE is pretty rough until about ~40 then it’s fine.

Best advice is just to try it out.

Well the Guardian forum as one, so I guess I’ll make a Mesmer one. I just hit 80 the other day, and I’m really curious to see what everyone looks like. I went a condition set and ended up with this, but my condition dmg is only 1378, I heard you want at least 1500. Anyways post yours, love to see what you guys have.

Here’s an update, great match so far.

Getting close to 80 now on my Mesmer, and I have to say it’s a lot better. Lower levels for PvE was horrendous, but now it’s great.

Low levels are going to suck. Just grind through it, and you are rewarded with a great profession.

x6 Runes of Svanir. I love the invulnerability.

Block of Ice + Renewed Focus + Shelter. I do it for the lulz.

Having a huge zerg pound on you for +10 seconds not doing anything makes me smile.

Ele, Necro, and Engie.

I personally go with Toughness. We have enough condition removers, so Vitality isn’t that big of a deal for me.

Well just finished it on my 44 Mesmer. Only area I had problems with was Sparkfly Fen.

I was getting OHK, not fun at all. Lucky for me some other people came along and helped.

Yeah, it really should be fixed. People just log right before they die. You don’t get the kill/loot and they don’t get a repair cost.

A close match up between all three would be amazing. Last week first and second where neck and neck. This week was a fight for second and third.

I think Gardavil stated it the best.

Me personally I don’t enjoy belittling people even if it’s just a video game.

All you need is a Mesmer to get in for a portal. Plus they mass invisibility.

Stand Your Ground because the second I leap it’s CC galore. Leap of Faith, Binding Blade, Symbol of Wrath, and Whirling Wrath. If anyone is left I switch to my hammer for Ring of Warding.

That’s how it goes when I jump into a WvW zerg or pretty much any fight.
