Us Ranger Longbow 4 lovers have been abused far too long.

I was still hoping that the set number of locked in utility skills was only preliminary due to the early beta, but as Roy´s non-answer shows it looks to be all we´ll get.

I´m sorry but this is simply a VERY weak show.

You cannot come up with at least one or even two additional legendary utilities to choose from for each legend?
Let alone a 2nd elite skill?

Actually it was one of the reasons I was initially so impressed with the game.
These combo interactions ALWAYS featured very heavily in the promo vids during the hype phase back in the day.

But quite frankly I pretty much ignore them now because, why bother?

And yes, you can apply your own fields. Just check the frikken weapon and utility skill descriptions.

I find the human male looks VERY realistic and am happy with them.
The tapered thin waist look so prevalent in bodybuilders, is simply NOT how a physical hard worker looks.
Yeah the movies and said body builder bros are promoting this as the ideal look of “power”. But it´s fake, just like the blown up balloon breastesess of the hollywierd females (aka. pörn stars).

Heck, when you choose the most well endowed body type you outright cannot wear certain skimpy outfits because the bööbies clip wrong to the torso, making them look like ACTUAL NOT YET implanted silicone sacks. O_o

With the last delay of the elite reveal I have revised my expected launch date from early/mid summer to (late? O_o ) fall .

AND YES we HAD an an announcement, search for “Heart of Thorns” on the youtube.

Honestly had I known that the whole expansion complex is that far away from release that even a beta seems to be months away, I wouldn´t have bothered coming back right now.

It seems ArrnahNet is almost embarrassed they have this “old fashioned” content still in game. So they just ignore it for 3 years, or rather 2.
The first year they had a great “dungeon master” Dev but then they fired him. Or did he quit after they kept deleting his new dungeons during LS season 1? Not sure anymore.

So yeah, it´s an exploiters paradise now and they even have the audacity of claiming this is how the game i supposed to be played (see " zerker meta").

Also got lured back in because of the HoT hype and the first month I found myself logging in regularly for dailies and leveling forgotten classes.
But it gets old after that.
Daily log in rewards and other neglected stuff(like using up all these lvl20 scrolls) is all I do, apart from accumulating XP boosts and level tomes.
Wouldn´t dream of actually wasting money on the Season 2 carp, unless I eventually decide to start building that mordethingy vine backpack.

Edit: Hmm, sounds a bit too negative.
The game is still fun to play when you stop taking it all too seriously.

Either join the circlegrind up there in the wastes or experience the zerker&corner stacking “meta” (aka. exploits) in the dungeon RUNS.
Apart from some quality of life changes this game has been standing still.

Oh yah, and they broke the personal story. Don´t go beyond the claw island battle before they fix it. Who knows when.

NO they don´t.
When I returned I had two new undiscovered POI in LA but completing them didn´t give me a new completion reward.
So when they add new ones you will have to go there to indulge your OCD but that´s about the only reason.

There has been no mention of ‘throwing out’ the NPE. The Traits will be revamped, again, but they were not part of the NPE.

Uhm actually as far as I understood it, that´s exactly what the trait and skill revamp is supposed to do.

Skills are gone and will be called hero points, you get most of them on level up and can buy the traits &skills you like.
Isn´t that the death of this “new” NPE?

Or I might be totally in the wrong. Even watching all these reveal videos full of stuff but seldom addressing the real problems.

If you can find it on sale get it. It´s still the best BUY2play model out there.

The core gamers loyal to this game that have stuck to it for 3 long years now, are a certain breed and should be best left alone IMHO.
We “returned vets” are another that came back lured in by the Expansion hype and find the game virtually unchanged.
So we dare to voice this minor grievance, thus somehow personally insulting the former group.
So basically the typical forum drama, best keep out of it and try not reading too much into it.

See for yourself and if you don´t like it, it´s not a big deal either.
Most likely you have a much bigger pile of cash burried in your Steam chest of games that you don´t play much too.

Have to agree with the Q3 release.

After the initial hype I was all fired up and actually believed in a late Q2 early Q3 release.
But after watching these Elite reveals and how much everything is decidedly NOT ready, I would not be surprised anymore by a Q4 release. :/

I have 2 of them and I love their anatomically correct postures and movements.

Their spine isn´t attached UNDER the skull to facilitate our natural bipedal gait but BEHIND the skull. Appropriate for their natural quadruped gait.
Like a cat they can walk upright (yes they can – I´ve seen the creepy gifs ) but when they do they cannot look down, just like we cannot look UP when walking on all fours.

Anatomy, it´s awesome.

Was planing to get a gem card with the expansion anyway, that would save me from spending it on a slot.

Servers are only relevant if you want to play the World vs. World PvP on the same “team”.

This game works with a “Super Server” so everybody is basically in the same PvE world.
Just add your pal to your friends, create a party with him and use the join leader function to end up on the same map instance.

I would advise to NOT get two of the same race.
Each should pick a race they favor most to, on their own, experience the personal stories that differ till about lvl 60.
As already mentioned for the normal leveling and open world experience it´s trivial to come to the other´s map by entering the LA portals.

It´s like with beds.
Everybody should have his/her own and for fun-times you chose one of them.
