JQ has done it. SoS. SoR. You don’t need to have true 24/7 coverage to cover a 12k stretch…it happens by chance and circumstance, like when one side shows up and the other doesn’t.

Yeah, TC made up over 30k points monday and tuesday last week against JQ and we have nowhere near 24/7 coverage. It’s a combination of our stacked NA, and JQ taking those days off. They didn’t show up to fight much until wednesday.

Well, when SoR eventually got it, it was a major screwup on our part (TC). We apparently had no sentry at the moment, and one person started screaming from the lord room as SoR rolled in and mowed them down. :-P We never should have lost that, but whatya gonna do….

How long is the queue on TC. Do you guys wait for 3 hrs on reset?

Queues are anywhere from 45mins to 1.5hrs on reset nights as soon as reset happens. These last for about 2 hours, then the queues are down to 15-30 minutes until probably 3am. This is pretty standard for T2+ servers on reset nights.

During the rest of the week we queue 3-4 maps every night during NA prime, and the queues are 0-15 minutes usually.

Other timezones will see 0-1 maps queued. Our NA prime is rather….large.

I think if there’s one thing we learned over the past few months (with the new matchup system) it’s that skill levels have nothing to do with tier levels. Probably the hardest fights we faced in the last two months came out of a couple Maguuma guilds. Once this revelation hit me, it actually changed the way I look at WvW.

How do you define skill level?

I ask because your idea isn’t clear to me.

The ability to do more with less, or do more with the same numbers. (Both in field fights and in structure assaults)

This has been the most fun week of WvW since the early weeks of TC/FA/KN earlier this year. EBG has been a TON of fun every night.

Absolutely too small. They should Quadruple the size of the maps while only increasing the population caps per map by 50%.

This would break server-zergs, but still allow organized guild zerging and encourage more tactical play.

The issues is, I get defeated without ever going to 0 hitpoints. In fact, I’ve been defeated without ever dropping below 50% of my hitpoints as I pointed out in two of my scenarios. That’s what I don’t understand. In fact, most of the time I am defeated, I never even get to 0 hp and that’s what irks me.

Are you sure you’re not lagging? If what you say is true….you’re bugging out or something. That’s not normal.

I’ve had this happen when I was lagging. If you lag out and you were running, you can stay in a running-state in-game. Then you fall off a cliff and die. Your connection catches up with you, and you’re dead.

It’d be a lot different if ANet wasn’t charging 1800 gems for transfers. I think the playing field would be a LOT different if people could transfer at will, but no one wants to transfer to a server that doesn’t seem to have a high-ranking future when it’s going to cost them gold or money.

A lot of us TCers have been here since game-launch, and wouldn’t really consider transferring off. I actually thought about it for a day or two, but I’m still holding out hope that ANet fixes this atrocious system.

Well, there are 2 days before the reset, and now with your rating you have all the chances to get a “not boring game.” Be careful what you wish for <_<.

I think you’d say the same thing. Wouldn’t you rather lose in a 3-way T1 matchup as opposed to facing two “T2” servers?

Seriously, we’re just burned out on boredom this week. There have been so many times when we’ve just screwed around instead of worked for PPT. I have no doubt our rating could have increased this week…but these matchups just make us not care to play the PPT game except as a means to possibly getting a couple good fights.

“Far” future maybe. We have some pretty ugly coverage holes at the moment.

We now have a massively stacked “queue all four maps” NA coverage, but our late-oceanic/SEA/EU coverage is lacking quite a bit. Good crews there, but they are amazingly outnumbered compared to T1 coverage in those timeslots.
