Count that again… Becouse you are not counting base stats. And before that how is it that blue being weeker then exotic does not bother you? Or stats on items in general…

Which is basically mechanic. Just like having specific weapon set or skill at a given point (like boss fight).
Gear is scaled by a percentage so a lvl 80 player with Ascended gear downscaled to 30 will be stronger than a lvl 80 player with Exotic gear downscaled to 30.
So maybe they should chagne that instead? Just a crazy thought…
I know there are a lot of people upset now… But why? Really? What have just happend that made so upset? Is it becouse AN just announced that the newest update will contain… Purple RING!? No? So maybe becouse it is slightly more powerfull then the exotic one? Hmm… So how much more powerfull is it? Lets take a look…
My level 80 guardian has 1500 power – so it’s just low as hell (and still I can do any dungeon whithin the game). And so called scary as hell ring will give my guardian additional 5 above that what can give him exotic ring. So that gets my character 0,003 more powerfull then those without the Ascended Ring of Uther Apocalypse!
Above that there were ALWAYS items better then others! Whites are weeker then blues and blues are weeker then greens. Level 79 character is weeker then level 80 character.
New items does not change a THING! They change NOTHING! They are just another type of achievement.
And did you ever played gw1? There were locations where you need armor infusion or exact class and exact build. How is the ring any different then that?
ANT did a lot work making you all feel equal when playing PvP (where ascended gear probibly will never appear). They even scale your level and gear when playing PvE! And you still think that they just want to throw that all away? Think again.
The ring gives 5 additional power and precision (And these are Minor stats, the difference would be bigger with Major stats) an increase by 8% ( 5/63=8%)
You didn’t get my point… My level 80 guardian has 1500 vitality with BLUE SET! So 5 points are 0,003 of that and that 3 at end does not matter! And MF is just PvE specific stat so it does not affect character power or anything.
Ascended gear is just something you achieve when you overcome new challenges.
Ascended gear looks like ANET is breaking these promises. So we will complain because those promises were a major reason why we bought GW2.
So Ascended gear “looks like” is breaking these promises… But what it really is <0.5% (example ring gives 2 more power which is 0.2% of 1000 – pretty low for level 80) better stats and some PvE specific attributes (like magic find and ifusions).
This is just rediculous! I’m playing dungeons with basic equipment (blue level 75) and playing WvW with lvl9 char! So why are you making such a noise about 2%-4% stat difference?! There is nothing wrong with some kind of progression within the game which does not need to destroy balance. If you play gw2 then you already know there are 80 levels and proffesions. This is exactly the same thing and doesn’t destroy anything! Just enjoy the game!

First of all… Don’t worry about if the game is going to die or not. There are hundreds of people in AN that work to not let it happend. They know a lot about mmos so don’t worry! Really!
About the other sruff… Yes the game needs to have some goal and this is what gw lacks.
What I’ll like to see is some big scale quests that make you travel through a large chunks of the world (like story quests) and give you miningfull reword at the end.
I really do agree with Aank. Gw2 is a lot more fun to play then other MMOs. What I would add is that there is a lot of content when you reach level 80 – large scale events (some of them may be seen as some kind of raids), dungeons, mini dungeons or boss fights. What is lacking is the purpouse of playing the game after level 80. Rewords in gw2 are just not what people expect.
I feel like you want to transform gw2 into wow… So maybe stop wasteing your time and play wow? It’s that simple.
I think that anyone who want to play WoW style game should play WoW style game… And not complain about how gw2 isn’t that kind of game… It’s just silly.
Most are right about what your saying. In fact I am exaggerating a bit… But still. If people had to stay in areas a bit longer and participate a bit more in the events… This wouldn’t be so bad for anyone.
I think that this would also encourage people to care about crafting and their equipment a bit more. Now they are outleveling their equipment so fast that they don’t care! Just wear what they find.
Ok, guys… You just didn’t get what I meant. If you play three hours a day then amount of xp you get from dailys is fine. But when you play like 40 minutes or less then it becomes rediculous.
Ok, first of all i’m super casual gamer so i don’t like grind and just want to enjoy the game. But the amount xp I get is just to much to do that. Each story mission gives me half of a level! And if I play just few hours a day (which is almost always the case) then the xp amounts from dailys is just rediculous! Cut two trees, kill ten monsters and the second half of my level i done. In about an hour! Without doing any dynamic events or hearts!
Please remove xp reword from dailys or lower it.
First of all… If you don’t like the game why do you even bother? (I assumed you don’t like it after reading your other posts)
