It works the same for all classes. CD’s between “land” and “underwater” utilities and elite are shared.

Edit: After more experimentation it appears to be a problem that occurs when swapping weapons immediately after the sigil of fire on my other weapon procs.

That would be it. All sigils share a global cd, so after your sigil of fire triggered, you can’t get might from sigil of battle for the next 5s.

It’s not like we stood a chance vs two bunker d/d eles and some s/d troll that kept us stunlocked and reset every fight, so I don’t quite understand why you make a video about it lol.

Because we all know that’s totally different from posting videos of 2 D/P thieves ganking already outnumbered players and running away when something wents wrong.

You should try opening a portal in a lord room leading outside of the tower the moment before you are capping it. You won’t believe how many people use it and end up getting no exp/karma/wxp xD

(The mesmer IS a trolling class after all ^^)

Actually, i would love if they restrict portal to the mesmer (or maybe his group) only and reduce it’s cd by ~30-50% in exchange. And i’m mainly playing mesmer ^^ It’s a great utility for solo roaming, trolling people and safe stomping. Sadly, most of the time it really hurts to “waste” such a high cd.

/edit: The comment above comes from a solo/smallscale roaming perspective. Mesmers are currently rather underwhelming in Zergfights but i’m not interested in zergs anyway ^^

//edit: Another idea: After the portal has been activated and ended, reduce it’s cd by 1% per charge left (max 20% cd reduction).

TBH, the clones offhand issue and this iberserker issue are both really really annoying.

They are, but i would wager that Illusionary Elasticity not affecting staff clones is another annoying bug that makes playing a condition mesmer really hard.

RiOT is a PvX guild, we have 130 members (I could screenshot if you wouldn’t believe), we have a small dedicated core that plays WvW mainly during the evening, that’s when we run with 15-20~

You forgot to mention that the dedicated core of RiOT tends to run around with thieves only, looking for players already outmanned to gank

(Hey, i’m waiting to appear in your next video. Guardian + Ranger was already hard enough but 2 thieves on top was a little bit too much for me )

I had some nice (unplanned) duels yesterday against members from different guilds both GH and RoS. Most of them invited me afterwards and we talked about the match, where we failed etc.

I ended up chatting with one of them basically all night everytime we met or just out of fun.

I have been flamed by an enemy only once up to this point and he clearly wasn’t a good player to start with (took him + full group ~5 min to kill my healway guardian and he called me a hacker afterwards…).

Warriors are already doing 4k autoattacks in WvW at this point. It’s quite obvious that you want buffs, Daecollo, but in exchange the warrior should at least give up a bit of it’s immense damage (~25-30%).

Most thieves in WvW run D/P just because of it’s incredible survivability, high damage and (really) borderline OPness.

So i would suggest S/P. It’s at least something different and for the most part won’t be affected by any Stealthtraps.

I would most likely recommend you to transfer on Gunnar’s Hold.

It could very well be one of the most smallscale-friendly servers in EU. They are currently in T8 but i really want them to come back to T7 again. We had some great smallscale fights and duels against Imp, SOE, Psy and other guilds i forgot to mention.

As an aside, necros and thieves are the only professions that can start a stomp, teleport elsewhere for most of the channel, then teleport right back for the end of it.

To be fair, mesmers can do the same with portals (90s CD untraited). Phase Retreat (Staff #2) + Blink could also work but i don’t think that Phase Retreat teleports far enough to be safe from interrupts.

Most likely “Flimp spec” (0/20/30/0/20) with Prismatic Understanding and Torch, Decoy, Mass Invis for Stealth. I’ve been running a slightly altered version for some weeks now and it’s really fun to play.

Haven’t played WvW since patch though, so i don’t know about it’s viability now.

Well, “just confusion” is basically the only damaging condition we can apply at a regular basis. If i’m lucky i manage about 8 stacks of bleeding with 3 staff clones + sharper images + Sigil of Earth on my staff. A necro does this with simple “1” spamming…

Nah, people will now start playing our really powerful phantasm and shatter builds leading to those also getting nerfed.

But hey, at least we can still drop a portal once in a lifetime to transport some golems (hint: portal 50% range nerf incoming).

So they not only reduced confusion damage by 50% but also made the Blinding Befuddlement trait entirely useless…

But thieves can go on doing 10k backstabs without using any cd’s and still won’t unstealth when it got blocked…time to backstab some pugs!

As already suggested multiple times, they should either increase confusion duration by a reasonable amount (+80-100%) or give condi mesmers at least some alternatives to deal their damage (i get about ~7-8 stacks of bleeding with 3 clones out, a necro manages double the number alone along with cripples and poison).

Find something else to cry about.

I want a 50% damage nerf for mug, backstab and heartseeker. Satified?

If my mesmer had other conditions to use as well I’d not mind the confusion change but as it’s my only real condition and I only do WvW I slowly gather laurels via the daily.

Having to re-gear completely as my only condition is basically trash now isn’t very appealing and tbh I’m rather bitter towards Anet as a company for wasting my time.

Swap confusion to a bleed/poison/anything else

Totally support this suggestion. Instead of just destroying the build completely, give us atleast something in exchange or increase confusion duration by 100%.

If they really want to increase build diversity, they just have to give condi mesmers something in exchange. We need at least an increase of 100% on our confusion duration or a massive increase in other damaging conditions.

But well, just about every other promise they have given to their costumers has shown to be a lie up until now, so…keep on nerfing until every profession got like 1 competitive build left.

Yeah i’m not counting in the Mist Form nerf. It seemed okay to me up to this point so i just wanted to discuss the points i’m concerned about.

And RtL is tied to a specific weapon set ^^ Or, atleast, half a set.

It does make sense if you add to the math the insane amount of healing the current FOTM ele build can pull off. Being able to pop out of the fight, heal up and pop in again multiple times is a big part of what makes the build OP.

After the patch you will have to actually think about if you really want to use RtL to kite your opponent because it’s not so easy anymore to just reset the fight whenever and how often you want.

It’ not like they are destroying the build like they are doing with Condi-Mesmer.

They should at least buff our condition specs in some other way so it’s not entirely useless. +100% uptime on confusion would balance out the change and leave more time for buttonmashers to realize they are doing something wrong.

Or give us the option to actually be able to stack bleeding to a reasonable amount.

So the bad players won…maybe if the also upped the duration of confusion by 100% it might be useful, but as it’s now, there is nothing left to leave to battlefield to mindless 1-spamming zerglings and resort to another build/class…

Heard thieves will get a buff, time to spread even more qq than confusion ever could.

2) would also prevent solo thieves from blocking a waypoint for 3 mins since they won’t do any damage to the door. That would also allow the dev team to disable the splitsecond between “defend this” events where defenders are allowed to port in.

Overall, i support both suggestions. The amount of mindless zerging could be greatly reduced.

Leave Normal gates as they are but make reinforced gates VERY hard to take down without siege.

Not very hard; impossible, regardless of gate “quality”, just like walls are now. Additionally, i would increase the hp on walls by at least 50-100%.

2 Zergs staring at eachother in a deadlock, constantly spamming AoE at max range while standing barely out of range of eachother. Whoever takes a step forward will die.

You know, THAT is the situation when players should learn to not blob but instead split into smaller teams, start flanking the enemy and actually use tactics instead of mindlessly spamming “1”.

- Engis get perma-swiftness by picking 1 trait and switching to a kit every 5 secs.
- Necros at least got a +25% speed signet.

Mesmer are about as bad as guardians when it comes to movement speed…sure, you can use Mirror + Runes of the Centaur/Air but that means you’re giving up on all of your armor upgrades…

The same goes for D/D eles using Churning Earth. They attune to water right before the skill goes off to solve the problem. I’d try to save “Shake It Off!” or, when using Soldier runes, any other shout for that.

Earthshaker is also on a 10s cd so you won’t have to wait that long before using it again ^^ There is usually always enough adrenaline in a big fight.

In WvW I’d stick out like a sore thumb if my clones didn’t have an offhand Bolt.

Offhand torch isn’t much better since you are glowing like a candle while your clones are not…
