Depends on what kind of people you will be leading. Organized teams will most likely be fine if you are moving in weird patterns (D/D ele, mesmer, thief) but “zerglings” need someone to lead them straight into battle and are more likely to scatter once the commander falls.

I haven’t encountered stealth stopping people from stomping me once they’ve started, they continue their stomp.
Yes, they do, but if you are still invisible when the stomp finishes, it will fail.
On my mesmer i’m using Mass Invisibility all the time to save players from getting stomped. Thieves can do (and are doing) the same with Shadow Refuge.

The new WvW armor/weapons make equipping a new char much easier for players who only WvW.
I payed about ~1.5-2k badges, 10g, 240k karma (Orr trinkets) for a full mesmer equipment (without sigils/runes/juwels ofc).

You are using a glamour build than, i guess? So your opponents need to fail twice to get killed by confusion:
1. Moving in and out of your glamours.
2. Not using cleanses or spamming buttons.
I’m not zerging quite often but the sheer amount of guardians and eles mostly ensures quick cleanses at all time.
Just yesterday i fought a D/P thief from Blacktide who gave me one of the best 1v1s i ever had on my mesmer. Good players won’t kill themselves under confusion unless they are already low on HP and need to do something to not die against other conditions.

That’s not true. It’ll be a very long fight and either player can easily reset the fight/run away… but a good ranger won’t destroy a confusion mesmer. In fact, the mesmer will usually win if it goes uninterrupted for long enough.
Depends on the environment, i’d say…on open field without any obstacles to abuse for LOS the ranger would be at an advantage. With more options to use all of his little tricks, the mesmer comes out ahead.

Immobilize really hurts the mesmer. We may teleport with staff (6s cd traited) or blink (24s traited) but we will still be immobilized and mesmer condition removal usually comes with a huge cd.
Against a confusion mesmer i’d like to kite him around not doing much (avoiding confusion damage) and waiting for an opening to burst him.
I suck when playing power mesmer so i can’t really help in that case…

Actually warriors are one of the strongest classes on WvW if (and that’s important) you play in an organized group.
Melee-trains couldn’t perform the way they are doing currently without their warriors tanking and throwing CCs everywhere.

Haven’t watched the video but when using Healway build i’m normally doing this:
1) Run right trough the camp to gather all NPCs and position myself behind a house/wall/tree to break LoS so the Scouts run towards me instead of firing from range.
2) Kite the NPCs around the house/wall/tree while throwing out attacks every now and then. Retaliation and burning blocks are doing most of the work.
3) Cap the camp.
Takes some minutes to do this but works every time. Against fully upgraded camps it’s tricky because i can’t fight against all of them at once and they usually respawn too fast.

I honestly would of chosen either a elementalist or guardian if i could re-do things
And one of our guild members tried warrior and never wants to switch back to his guardian. The grass is always greener on the other side and while guardians are meant to be superior in terms of damage mitigation it’s basically impossible to keep the enemy near you.
I know this may not be a problem in sPvP where you have to cap points and can be stationary but WvW is much more open and a guardian can be kited be just about any other class. We lack the CC, ranged attacks and mobility of the warrior.
Warriors can’t have everything just like guardians can’t.

Tbh that seems pretty op to me. Mesmers already got their sword #2 for invulnerability and can’t move in exchange to it.
Your 2a would make scepter 2 essentially a half Renewed Focus, which is an elite skill on a 90s cd (it does reset your virtues though).
Confusion on autoattack i think would be too strong. Mesmer downedstate works that way and is able to dish out a lot of damage if you actually have to fight more opponents while trying to finish that mesmer.

btw Retaliation uptime is pretty short in general. Light + Blast is 3 sec Retaliation against 20 sec of 3 stacks might for fire + blast. Dedicated Retaliation guardians sacrifice most of their damage output for + % boon duration.

Guardians do say “I’m out of position and that thief just stealthed, time for an aegis.”
Only that blocking doesn’t put the thief out of stealth.

I always found confusion pretty useless for PvE (mesmer currently at lvl 58) because of slow attack speeds. Mesmer is all about positioning in WvW and as i am building towards a confusion based build using scepter i really want to try the new #3.

Well it’s stronger than comparable traits other classes got and still comes earlier (‘Power of the Virtues’ is minor trait at 25 points in Virtues). As a minor trait i would put it at least at the ‘15’ position if not ‘25’.

I can’t remember the last time I had difficulty fighting an engineer.
Seems like you haven’t had the pleasure to meet some really good engineers ^^ I’d say that Bolla of BNF (Dzagonur) plays the best engineer i’ve ever met up to this point. Obviously, i lost (to 15 stacks confusion after having to use all of my 5-6 cleanses on former condition bursts)

Thiefs are also one of the best supporting classes in WvW for their spammable blast finisher, ability to block siege and group stealth. It’s just not so “cool” to support as it is to just 3-shot everything, so most thieves never build for it and instead keep complaining about being useless.
/edit: Before someone asks: I own a thief (80, full exotic) and have been supporting in past time. I’m mostly playing backstab currently because i already own a supportive, low-damage class and want to see big numbers from time to time (^^).

If the wiki is true, healing signet’s passive heals for 200 + 0.033*HP each sec.
Regeneration is 130 + 0.125*HP per sec.
So you need over 760 HP before regeneration starts to heal for more than Healing Signet. That means healing signet is actually stronger unless you spec deep into healing which means also dealing less damage. So warrior can heal for more or the same amount than other classes while also dealing more damage.
The passive minion of necromancer heals for 926 every 2 seconds. And can be traited to do more damage and heal for more as well.
Not sure if serious…i have basically never seen any necro using this because it just dies so fast…

If you simply want to push away enemies around you then yes, shield #5 ist far better.
Sanctuary only really starts to shine when traited for ground-targeting. Unlike Shield #5 it can block chokepoints without someone having to risk his/her life for it (and, unlike statt #5, also blocks projectiles).
Blocking siege (sometimes even multiple when they are placed near to each other) for a period of time also can give the needed chance to push forward and break into enemy lines.

Hmm, Leap of Faith (guardian GS #3) also gets hindered by chill/cripple. JI and Flashing Blade are teleports, so it’s logical for them to be unaffected by movement hindering conditions, but i believe every “real” movement skill is affected by them (RTL isn’t and, in my opinion, should be but that’s nothing i have to decide).
