is this happening to a-lot of people?
14 pages worth of people: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Email-from-ArenaNet-Please-read-merged/first#post1807876
If 50% of the population are in SAB, that probably isn’t too bad. I don’t care for it, especially, as I am not that great at jumping puzzles. So…when patches release that are not my exact cup of tea, I play other parts of the game, and wait expectantly for the next patch. There is always something different right around the corner. =)

Perhaps, it was some kind of behavior, and not the language used. I am not sure what actions illicit which suspension messages.
Yes, when transferring, you can create characters on any server, NA or EU. A game account is world-wide.

The Guild Wars 2 website says that there is a free trial for the 9/27/13 to 10/3/13

However, if you click the banner, you get sent to a link that says the trial period is over.

What is going on here?
Is something broken?
Seems to be bugged for the moment, as it was working earlier today. I’m sure they will have it up and running soon.

I did put in a ticket already but don’t know how long it’ll take to get back. I’ve recently tried to re-install GW2, after many, many months of inactivity, but can’t seem to remember my password anymore and when I try to recover my password it’s asking for serial code, which I don’t have anymore because I purchased it through digital download and I don’t have the email anymore and of course I’ve forgotten my character name. There is no customer support hotline?! What do I do? Thanks.
You are able to log into the forums, which means your password is saved in your browser. Use your browser’s tools to access your saved password, and voila! – back in game. Good luck! =)
Oh! I didn’t think of that. Well done. As long as the score is high enough to show, or does the leaderboard show every single account?
It shows myself always on the top, no matter if you are looking under guild, friends or world.
Oh, cool. I don’t go there often. Thanks for the tip. =)
Hey, I was being discouraging, but if it means bringing others into the game, then maybe they would like to be helpful. Ok, don’t contact support. My bad.

No way to know, except to log on, or maybe contact Customer Support. You would need to provide a lot of information to support if you went that route, though.
Personally, I enjoy the Scarlet invasions more, but, as with many things in life, the holiday-themed events are always fun. It’s a mood thing, I guess. =)
You might try posting in Player Helping Players, as this isn’t an account issue. Good luck.
I think the free week-long trial starts today, so there will be plenty of new players about. Welcome back and hope you enjoy yourself. =)
Welcome back, and just in time for the Holidays, which are always fun. =)
I only salvage blues and TP most of my greens, and I’m at around 70% account luck. Works for me, but I suppose if you are tired of salvaging, then you could just sell everything. I don’t really know which one makes more gold, as I am not the kind of person that keeps track of stuff like that. =P
I am a Guild Leader, and, for me, it would also depend on how the Guild Hall was to be acquired. If it takes an enormous amount of influence, then I’m sure it would be years before we had one.
As for timing, the LFG tool was asked for quite vocally for some time, and nothing really concrete was mentioned about it by the Devs until it was close to release. Perhaps, it will be the same with Halls/housing.
I like the payment model, the ability to purchase things by exchanging gold for gems, the Living Story (there is always something new to look forward to, even if it isn’t all just my cup of tea), the way we can mix and match armors, the music for the most part, the beautiful world, the fact that the game is almost always up and running, and anything and everything else I’ve forgotten to mention. =)
I know for a fact it is character-based, as my guild has only two members, and sometimes I show 9 members logged in for a particular day.
Here’s how it works, more or less:
Influence is awarded to the guild being represented by a character when that character logs in. Each character can only give influence in this way once per 24 hours (on a per-character-slot reset timer), and each account can only do so for up to five characters per day, but there are some restrictions which have not been clearly identified yet.
10 Influence per character for the first 20 characters.
5 Influence per character for the next 30 characters.
1 Influence per each additional character.
The influence is awarded immediately upon login. A summary is added to the History tab once per day.
You must be level 80.
According to patch notes: ‘Ascended weapons can now drop anywhere ascended materials or other ascended items can be found.’
So, that would mean the weapons can drop from:
Open world bosses, temple bosses, WvW keeps, and castles now drop Dragonite Ore in addition to their regular loot, which can only be earned once per day per location.
Dungeons, minidungeons, jumping puzzles, WvW camps, and towers now drop Empyreal Fragments in addition to their regular loot, which can only be earned once per day per location.
Liquid Karma dropped from dungeon end chests have been replaced with Empyreal Fragments.
This would be all the places, according to the patch notes, as well as what the wiki says (though I don’t know what the wiki uses for their source).

Link your GW2 account to what? Sounds a bit phishy. Maybe it was a scam.
If you weren’t the type to buy off the TP usually, and this was a one-time deal anyway, then it probably makes little difference that the items are soulbound. I, personally, love the thrill of getting my gear as loot. Much more exciting to me! But, that’s just me. =)
Everything won’t be permanent, as just this next month Mad King Thorn returns. And Wintersday won’t be far behind. I’m sure some things, in the future, will be permanent, and some things temporary to keep the Living Story moving along.
The only reason to keep them is sentimental…as momentos. If you need the bank space, then destroy. Any item needed in the future will be provided, as new people join the game all the time, and there would need to be a way for them to obtain the item.
I usually see (read) one on my server whenever I’m in Frostgorge. But I am not on 24 hours/day, so I can’t say whether someone runs one continuously, or not. You could try guesting around at odd hours, I supppose, and see if a server meets your needs. =)
Change auto-attack to 4th skill. Change number one skill to G or H (or some other key). Learn to use G or H (or some other key on all weapons and characters). Problem solved.
By the way, the icon will show the change to whatever key you bind it to, so it won’t be confusing, after all.

The only restoration tool is an Account Restoration Tool, or, in other words, rollback. The policy, which has been stated many times, is they only do rollbacks, (or Account Restorations) for compromised accounts. Not sure why they worded the response quite that way, but that’s why they don’t do restorations for single items. Sorry for your loss.
After reset, do the Daily Boss Week achievement, and you will probably fulfill your 9/9. You need 4 Dailies for the Meta achievement.
Also, several threads about this in Tequatl Rising sub-forum. =)

It is a phishing email. Please remove the link (which shows it goes somewhere other than ArenaNet) so others do not fall for this scam. You can see copies of this letter in the stickies for this sub-forum.
Well, since they have now introduced unlimited tools with a different theme, I suspect there will be several themes introduced over the coming years. I, personally, have no special theme I desire. I bought the new pick because I didn’t like the old animation (not that love this one), and I enjoyed the convenience of my axe so much, I wanted the same convenience.
You are just asking to be scammed seeking to buy outside the Trading Post. Just think of all the money you will spend when you have to buy it twice; once off the TP, and then again through the TP. The price seems much more reasonable on the TP, after all.
I have two female medium armor-wearing characters. Neither in trench coats, but there does seem to be a plethora of items in that style. No idea about male armor, as I have none. The suggestions are nice, probably should place them in the Suggestion sub-forum.
I never use the Support Accounts. (They won’t accept my email address.) I just contact them by email, just as I would anyone else in the world, and they respond back to me, and then I respond back to them. You can use this method as well. Send an email to support@guildwars2.com
Good luck.

Lol. You are welcome.
Lol. Kitten is the universal filter-word for anything ‘objectionable’ on the forum.
As far as warnings go, you were warned when you agreed to the ToS before playing the game for the first time. You may or may not have been sanctioned for this particular inappropriate language episode, or for another one at a previous time (or even several episodes). You can, of course, appeal the action taken against you. Whatever the outcome, try to use better judgment in the future when speaking in /map or /say. Good luck.

Make sure your friend checks his spam and junk folders. If the email is not there, your friend can contact Customer Support and speak to them about his issue. Top of page – Support – Ask a Question. Good luck. =)
The “I need help with…” section seems unclear, what would an issue like this go under? o.O
I would probably choose ‘Creating an account’ or ‘Log-in Issues’. Good luck. =)
we had the same problem ,i could remove the Email authentication(in January), but i cant remember how. But now my friend have the same problem, and i cant help him remove it :S
when i asked the guild, they ask back couse they have the same problem and many of them want to remove the email athentication.
To remove email authentication: https://account.guildwars2.com/recovery
More information: https://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9192/kw/authenticator

Good luck.
Well, I assumed (maybe mistakenly) that the OP was referring to the first time. My bad.
Have you changed the password to your email account(s). If the hacker has access to your email, he can see all the communications with Support or email authentications. Have you run specific anti-keylogger software? C-Net seems to have a good free one. Mostly, you need to work with CS to get your computer secured. Good luck.
You don’t have to craft, unless You wish to craft an ascended weapon. But, at level 42, you probably have many other things to do, to explore, to have fun with right now. Anything ascended can wait…first rares, then exotics. Lol. If you even want that. Welcome back to Tyria! =)
No sense of satisfaction or ‘fun’ from completing the encounter? Only disappointment from the loot? How sad. Better looting next time, I hope.

Ugh…94.21 seconds to load Lion’s Arch. It is, by far, my slowest map to load. But, this, at least, lets me know how long I have to wait by watching the percentage of models loaded. Thx.
I have two accounts (altoholic, did not know how many char slots we’d be able to buy) and I know they do not share any data across the same PC I play them on.
So the PC settings should not matter here. IC may have his finger on the issue.
According to her/his post in the Tech Support forum, they both have separate accounts. Sounds like a bug or glitch. So, I guess she didn’t have her finger quite on the issue, after all. Lol.
