help me my account have been access by an unauthorized person… what i can do ?
Immediately change the passwords for your game account and the email associated with it. Remove any foreign ISP on your security page. Scan your computer for viruses, keyloggers and such. You can also contact Customer Support for assistance. Good luck.
You must unlock your monuments to receive any rewards, be they the ‘freebies’ for linking accounts or any others. The whole purpose of the Hall of Monuments rewards was to reward your ‘achievements’ in GW and to do so, you had to have EotN and open up your monuments. You can’t claim any statues without placing them in your unlocked monuments, because that is where statues show up. It doesn’t take much research to discover this.
Dusk – a couple of months ago – dropped off a level 6 raptor hatchling in Metrica – ~1000 hours played – no special gear or anything, I might have been using some kind of food, but probably not

Dusk can drop off of any mob, as my Dusk dropped off a level 6 raptor hatchling in Metrica. It’s just a matter of the right roll.

I expanded my bank slots to 9 without any problems. I am sure CS will get back to you ASAP.
Perhaps you had a keylogger (and still do) on your computer. It’s easy to find your password, it’s saved in your browser settings. Maybe they have access to your email account. Even if you don’t play anymore, you might consider changing all your passwords, as someone (probably many someones) have them.

I am having issues with the launcher not starting up. I double click on the shortcut, accept the prompt to run it and then the launcher never appears. I played GW2 about 3 weeks ago and it was working fine. I ran a game advisor report and attached it. If someone has any ideas of how to fix it so I can play again, I would greatly appreciate it.

really simple fix: audit the log, send me my gold. anet already admitted fault, just needs to get assigned to a legitimate problem solver instead of getting replied from random different ppl each time.

You say this ticket has been open 16 days, yet the ticket number indicates it has not been open even one day. If you are creating multiple tickets, close all but the original and update that one only. Submitting more than one ticket will just slow down your case. If not, wait 3 days and post again. Good luck.
Yes, the dev said they accidently got grouped in with some others….would fix it? Not sure about that part. But, I guess they forgot, or decided to wait.

Have you tried accessing the Hall of Monuments in GW1 and speaking to Kimmes? And changing your Hall of Monuments in GW1 from account-wide to character-wide (or vice versa) and back again? That often clears up the problem. Good luck.
Is applying a skin considered transmuting an item? Not according to the wiki, it seems. Did you transmute the quiver onto another item? When you split it did you get the skin (PvE) and the other back item? Getting the skin back to the choice of PvE or PvP would seem to be two steps back, not just one. So, maybe that is what is meant by ‘Will return the original appearance item and stats item from an existing transmuted item.’ Not original skin pre-transmuted.
Support only does Account Restorations for accounts that have been compromised. Period.
How can something free, that’s useful, no matter how little you deem it useful, be insulting? Are people insulted because they feel they are worth so much more than that? Insulted because they feel they are doing ArenaNet a big favor by playing their game? I could understand a bit of disappointment, or mild bristling at change, but what exactly is this insult to their senses?
Gee, I’m not sure skill points were better in GW1. They were character-bound, and one of my main is still sitting on around 570 skill points.
But, using them for some personalized things sounds kind of cool. Like potions or buffs or something. Maybe something is coming…..soon. =P
No, I don’t think so. Those overflows cease to exist. Any subsequent overflows will only have an event based on the time of the server they are created from.
Still, I have to wonder if these only work when the event spawns at the same time globally. I guess it could not work if each server had a different spawn time for an event. (I mean the 10-minute additional spawn in overflow.)
I got a few others in the mail on other characters. This character had not been created yet, at the time she sent out her gifts to everyone else.
Needless to say, it seemed very odd. I took a screenshot, but sadly, the gift faded from view just before I pushed PrntScrn.
You know, it’s odd. I got a present today on my warrior that’s relative new (level 11). A present popped into my inventory from Scarlet. I guess I picked it up from loot. It did not come through the mail, just showed up on the side like other loot. Lol, I am afraid to open it. I was in Metrica at the time.
Oh, and happy birthday!

Funny, I’ve been on my server since Headstart. We’ve been considered the bottom of the barrel since shortly after launch. Guess what? I encounter overflow everytime Teq spawns and most of the time when Scarlet spawned. I guess an awful lot of people want to guest to the bottom-ranked servers. Who knew???
There are Veteran Oakhearts in Wayfarer in the snowy area right after you come out of the portal from Hoelbrak, as well. Pretty darn easy ones.
There are continual spawning Veteran Ghosts in that new part of Plains of Ashford (lower left corner of map by the Guild puzzle), too.
They announced the change on August 30th on the blog.

I am confused. What is a great idea?
Why do so many people feel they have so little fortitude as to be ‘tricked’ into buying something? Where is the personal responsibility? If you feel it’s a bad marketing ploy, then wouldn’t you be able to resist? Or are that many people brainwashed? My kids whine all the time about how it’s not their fault they make bad choices. I tell them to grow up and become responsible for their own actions. Of course, that’s just me.

Petitions aren’t allowed. Gold sinks are necessary. I don’t lose gold, a waypoint cost is just about the same as one green item. Hey, everything free would be nice, but would devastate the game.

If you don’t want them in the bank, why not use them?? No storage problem then. Do you really have several stacks of them? I only have around 160 so far. If storage became a problem, I would just click on them. /shrug
I watched the posted vid. Frankly, I didn’t buy the Molten pick because I didn’t care for the animation. I really like this one better. I would buy it if it had this new one. Different strokes for different folks. But, it may just be a glitch or something. Pity.

Doesn’t all the content you do to get to level 80 count as progress-based content? I’m obviously clueless because I only played WoW for a few hours back when it released. I found it way too cartoony and the community too mean-spirited for my taste. Luckily, I was trying out Guild Wars at the same time, and chose that game for my online video-gaming pleasure. And here I am today! Clueless, but happy! =)
Still doesn’t address why everyone would be forced to use a drop. Maybe fractal runners might feel that using a drop was a better choice for them (it is still a choice, though). I’m thinking lots of people either don’t do fractals, or they craft the weapon of their choice. It might be beneficial to you to broaden your perception of who plays this game. It seems a bit dungeon-centric. Just a thought, though. =)

I think it might be a ‘You don’t play like I do, so you suck’ thread. If I’m understanding it. I keep skimming over all the stat calculations and stuff because they hold absolutely no interest for me. If it’s pretty, I wear it! =P

I do have a question. When did the game start forcing people to use drops as gear. I was under the impression that you could use any gear you wanted. If we must use gear that drops, how is it some people have berzerker gear? I haven’t had a full set drop for me. Not that I would be interested in one.

You can still be associated with a server. Just when you go to wvw it will separate you
Not if that server is no longer there. I am asking…where does one’s WvW affiliation lie, if all the servers have become one? Who do you fight against? If there are only 3 servers, the matchup would be a bit stagnant, no? Should there be 6? Still might be stagnant? 9? 12? How many is too many? How many is not enough? I’m thinking the devs thought about this when they created servers in the first place. Just maybe.

Your friend can only wait for Customer Support to contact him. You are not encouraged to file a ticket and immediately post in Account issues. While your friend waits, he must look to making sure his computer is clean. Run scans, change game account and email passwords, etc. Read the stickies above for more tips on keeping your computer secure. Good luck.
Sounds good. If you have no response after 72 hours, you can post your ticket number in the sticky for tickets 3 days and older. =)
