Hmm, I have always and only relied on drops to gear up. Except for the one time I like the look of some crafted armor, which was below my level once I could craft it. Thank goodness for transmutation stones. Lol.
Some people actually do play that way. It always seemed kind of like cheating, to me, to buy anything off the TP. But, that’s just me.
Remember, that with the cost of buying things going up, the profit of selling armor that drops and isn’t desirable has gone up, as well. I would imagine it’s a bit easier to make some money off the TP now, than it was earlier in the game’s life. Have you seen the price of onions, lately? Wow. I seem to make a fair amount of gold, just selling what one can gather in the starting zones.
Anyway, I guess my point is, not everyone plays the exact same way, and what seems harmful to some may seem par for the course, for others. =)
That doesn’t sound like account-sharing, but rather that said person has 2 accounts. Nothing wrong with having multiple accounts. Maybe I am misunderstanding, though.
It doesn’t show up in discovery, unless you are pretty low-level in Artificing. It should just show up down near the bottom of refinement. Are you sure it’s not there?
It never has/had a color, or anything, so it is easy to miss….
How do I purchase Gems using money? I cant find a way.
I believe when you open the Gem Store (O) and choose the second option down on the left (where you can exchange gold for gem and vice versa), there is an option at the top that will allow you to purchase gems (with money). Good luck.
Here is the information from the wiki: ‘The Gem Store is accessed by the Gem Store tab in the Black Lion Trading Company panel. The Gem Store has eight tabs, categorizing different items that can be purchased from the store. The number of gems currently on the account are displayed in the top left next to the Home tab, along with a “Buy Gems” and “Redeem Code” options.’
So, it may be on the first (Home) page. =)

I wanted to create character named Crue, i got the error that it was taken so i tried to add that character to my friend list but then i got message that there is no character named Crue in the game. Is that name bugged or something? I would really appreciate that you would unlock that name for me. Thank you.

Unfortunately, guild banks and/or all influence stays on the world in which they were created. Only your personal account items (such as your account bank) transfer with you. Even those in a cross-server guild can not access the guild bank on any server but their own home world (which they have to create and build up themselves).
From the Official GW2 Wiki: If you move your account to another world, the guild vault will not transfer with you (IE. Guild vaults are restricted to the world where they were created).
A brand new account that I have no heard of, or spoken to (in or outside of guild wars 2), has send me 105g through in game mail with no message. Should i report said account, return the gold, take the gold + report, etc?
Perhaps, some one mistyped the name they were sending gold to. You could contact them, and ask them about it, and if they did make a mistake typing, you would be an angel to return their gold. =)
If that’s not the case, then I guess contacting Support would be the next best thing.

Not sure how saying some were lucky with the boxes could be misinterpreted, but if you have done so, I guess that’s on you. Every precursor came out of a box/chest. Either the ones that dropped, or the ones that were sent. If some people don’t understand that, I am not sure what else I could say. Maybe you had to be there. /shrug

My game crashes and crashes, I have sent the report to Anet, and even asked for help but noone wrote me back and noone has been able to fix this. I have had this problem since the recent updates from about 3 months ago. I have been playing the game for 1 year and I did not have the problem before.

Didn’t they say, every time, that the choice of stats depended on the item or where it was attained?

I’ve got a problem: Since yesterday I’m trying to play with my main character and everytime I select it and try to play, gw2 client keeps dc’ing me, with error message "The game client lost its connection to the server. Please wait a few minutes before restartting the client and trying again. (Code=7:11:3:191:101).
NAturally I’ve tryed everything. Thing is, then I’ve selected my other characters, within the same account. And it worked! Meaning, every character I have works fine, except with my main character.
Do you guys have any ideia what to do? Maybe some bug related to the actual location?

Yes, that macro would not be allowed. It is one key, one action…not function.
Hmm…are you sure? It looks like the question asked is: would you play more sPvP? But, I guess you may be right. I use the skins on my character for all the mini-games. I still have never set foot in tPvP or sPvP, and doubt I ever will.
Thus, the answer is still no.
I prefer the Living Story method of content release, as waiting for an expansion and paying for it is less desirable to me. I think it’s great there is always something to look forward to each month.
Also, your initial post is somewhat fallacious. The first update of the month usually lasts the entire 4 weeks, the second patch of the month (done by the same team each month) lasts the remaining 2 weeks.
And…as ArenaNet has stated multiple times, the Living Story method of releasing content in no way precludes the release of new permanent zones, races, skills, weapons, armor or anything else that may or may not be included in the ‘Expansion’ method of delivery. =)

I can’t say this happens for every mob, but some of them do catch prey, and kill it. Some fight each other. Some do seem to patrol, as well.
But, as you say, some seem to just stand there, daydreaming. Lol.

Not sure why my post was merged with the other generic questions. I am a customer who needs help please.
Tried to buy two gem orders from the store. Order one was successful, order 2 was locked until I contacted support. I went to the support site but was unable to remember my username. Used the feature to email username to email address. Have yet to receive email with username so I can open a ticket with support. Please help. thank you. This is not about contacting support it is about the email they are supposed to be sending not making it to my email.
If, after checking junk mail folders, and spam folders, you find no response, you can always email Support at support@guildwars2.com with any email address at which you would like to receive email. Either the previously used one, or another one. They will respond to the address from which the email is sent. Good luck. =)
If you watch the interview, there will, most likely, never be Hard Mode dungeons, so that won’t be a viable way to collect anything.

Although, I had no boosts on, I entered SAB (the Entrance and then, the Lobby), and specifically looked for a warning (because of this thread). I got no warning whatsoever. If there is a warning, it must happen when you enter one of the Worlds.

While you wait for a response, it would be best to change your password to the email account associated with your account, and make sure your computer is completely clean of keyloggers, and such. Once your computer is secure, you can ask about an Account Restore.

Hmm…well, Traveler’s became Dire, and there was no Traveler’s Orichalcum Imbued Inscription before…..but did you check with the Master Crafter?
Ah, I remember now…it was included in the Ascended Inscription recipe. (Or when you choose the weapon, I don’t remember which. Either way, it let’s you choose the stats, one being Dire.)

I bought the Digital Deluxe Version and Expect to have any upgrades made to this purchase delivered to my account punctually and efficiently. Anyone who disagrees it is your loss, but I am sticking to my entitlement and I expect these.

If you now get 9 levels for crafting to 400 on each discipline, can’t you get 8 levels in the starting zones to make up for that? 9 × 8 =72 levels from crafting. Not sure how difficult getting your first 8 levels out in the world can be.
Or even if you only get 8 levels per discipline… I rather enjoy getting the first few levels on a new character. It certainly isn’t difficult. Just exploring the cities gives 7 or so levels.
Those are the same items you get from Orrian Jewelry boxes. I am guessing they just added them to the loot roll.

The ones that weren’t bound at all became account bound. Items already soulbound aren’t going to become unsoulbound so you can shuffle them around. Sorry.
Where was it stated they wouldn’t? It seems silly to let us re-stat them but not move them to characters that might actually use them. I don’t need a 8th set of exotics on my main now that MF isn’t a stat… So let me put it on one of my alts at least.

You do not receive laurels when finishing the monthly a second time.
Personally, I find that name very offensive. Everyone is different. Usually, flatulence is not something flaunts in a polite, social situation. If it is not embraced whilst having dinner with the President or your particular religious leader, it is probably considered unacceptable. At least, in my eyes.
Someone suggested giving ‘everyone’ a few laurels. Well, that would just start another wall of complaints, just as giving out the Birthday gifts, again, did. “Johnny got two, and I only got one! Not fair!”
Let’s be honest. In two days, many people finished 3 of the 4 required categories, just by doing the Scarlet events. The map chat was full of “Wow! Cool! This is the easiest Monthly ever! Champs, Events, Group Events are dropping like flies!”. I think many people didn’t do any extra work to get those categories, at least according to map chat. It is unfortunate that the Monthlies were reset. But…I think we are just back to what would have been a normal Monthly now, instead of a “here’s a freebie-Monthly on us” month.
