If I come upon a summoned merchant or other NPC, and try to use it, and it doesn’t allow me to, I don’t think to myself: Geez, what a Troll whoever summoned this is. I just move on. Probably, most people feel the same way. I wouldn’t worry about what other people think, in the game…or elsewhere. =)

I just got my 1000 skill point Achievement. I have about 400 on one character alone. I’ve played about 2000 hours. Those new skill point scrolls drop pretty often, I have about 25 in the bank, and I used a few on my new Guardian.
Yes, they raised the server population cap, and yes, someone that plays a trial version of the game can upgrade to a full account and keep all their progress.

Michael — I want to thank you for pointing out those very old threads that refer to “Live Help.” That system hasn’t been available in a very long time, for we found that the wait times and the slowness of issue resolution made the entire concept less than effective. (In fact, I noticed your comments about the very same thing, so I imagine you’ve had negative experiences with other companies and their telephone or chat help.)
Au contraire. I’ve had several accounts on both those 8 year running MMO’s, and while 45 minute wait times are normal, another half an hour and it’s fixed.
I’m already 12 hours into this problem, and it’s not even started being resolved. It would be trivial via phone. You offer a link for me to consult if the problem runs more than 3 days after I finally get it submitted. A day to get the problem into the hopper and 3 days to resolve it does not compare favorably to the other guy’s 45 minute wait on the phone, no matter how sarcastically we whine about it.
Submitting a ticket really is faster and the outcomes are more accurate. I’ve edited the post in which there was mention of “Live Help” so that there is no confusion about the matter.
As I understand it, to submit a ticket I must register a support account, and since it rejects my current (and only) email address as being used by another account (to wit, my game account) I seem to need to get another email address just for the support ticket? Is this true? It makes so little sense I think I must be doing something wrong.

No other email address needed. This is how I contacted them when my account was banned for allegedly selling gold, and thus could not use the email address associated with my account; the communication was quite prompt back and forth.
I am sure once you get in contact with Support, they will separate your two paid accounts. =)
I’ve made about 30 gold playing the game during this release. I am happy that when I stumble upon a Champion whilst out playing, I have a reason to stop and try to kill it now. =)
I haven’t log into guild wars 2 since Thursday the 15th of August. I have been busy with work and I didn’t have time to play until today Sunday 19th at 12:00 am UK time.
Now the problem is that I was resetting my password on Origins and I didn’t receive it so I checked my spam box only to find out I was wrongfully banned for botting. I NEVER use bots in any games. Can someone please tell me if this is true or was the email in my spam folder as a scam or phishing
And second if this is true can you explain under what circumstance you claim that I was botting. The following is what was written in the email:

This is a known phishing email. If you have given them any account or email information, please immediately change the passwords to your account and your email account, and contact Customer Support and apprise them of the situation.

You can upgrade an existing account. Is that what you were trying to do? That is different from linking two accounts.
When upgrading an account, the numbers after a display name will change. At least, according to the many posts I’ve seen on the forums about it, that is what happens.
What were you, or are you, trying to accomplish with linking two accounts? If you were looking to add character slots, I am afraid that doesn’t work. The only thing you can really do is upgrade from a regular account to a deluxe account, and get the in-game deluxe items (edit: or from a trial account to a permanent account of either regular or deluxe). You can have two (or more) accounts, but they must each be separate.
I am sure Customer Support will help you once you have sent in a ticket, though. =)

Hello, about 15 minutes ago, I was trying to transfer to SFR after buying 1000 gems with gold, I dont really know what happened but for some reason I got transfered to miller’s sound and I dont really know what to do.
Note: I’ve been farming a lot and spent many hours to earn the gold to transfer with my guild to SFR I hope arenanet support team takes this into consideration, thanks.

I have heard some email providers block mail from ArenaNet as spam. Do you receive any other mail from them? Does your provider have a white list you can add them to? Or a black list you can remove them from?
You can always contact Customer Support through either the support site (Top of page – Services – Support – Ask a Question) or through email at support@guildwars2.com
You can also go to your account security page and remove email authentication, but I would recommend you have either email or mobile authentication enabled at all times.

You can not link two GW2 accounts, as far as I know, so that is where the difficulties started. You can only link a GW2 account to a GW1 account. You can contact support by email at this address: support@guildwars2.com

I was just reading through Colin’s posts, and he talks a lot about implementing things the community has suggested, such as more permanent content, etc. He even replies in a thread titled ‘…Suggestion for ANet’. I’m pretty sure there would be some threads in the Suggestion sub-forum about more permanent content. I believe they gather the suggestions from all over the forums, as well as other places on and off the internet, though.
Well, it seems some devs read the Suggestions sub-forum, as there are dev posts in the first 3 or 4 pages.
I guess you could go through all the patch notes, and compare it with the Suggestions sub-forum, as well as the related other forums, but it would be a gargantuan task.

My account has been banned/suspended for unacceptable name for 72 hours, the ban started at about 1:30 A.M. 8/17/2013. I do not understand why. My character names are: Arya Vane, Arya Vyne, Ax Bane, Raklee, Salis Nigra, Val Zinko, and Sir Apophis. I can not understand how any of those names would be offensive in anyway. I also never use profanity in chat to degrade any other player so I can’t see how that would be a problem either. Frustratingly, by the time the ticket I submitted for the problem is answered the ban will probably be gone and I have lost 3 days of being able to play.
The problem name is probably Salis Nigra. If this is your first offense, you can usually re-enter the game shortly, and rename that character. If it is not your first offense, you will have to wait the 72 hours. Good luck. =)
I recently got a Visa vanilla card with 80 dollars on it. I tried to purchase 20 dollars worth of gems, but it didn’t work. I have used a vanilla card before and it worked then (which was about a week ago), but now it is failing. I also know it is not a problem with the card as I am able to purchase using it elsewhere. I have filled in all the fields including the Visa symbol, and have tried everything. I still keep getting a payment failed message. I have been seeing people with a similar problem with Vanilla cards and hope Anet can fix this as soon as possible. If anyone knows any fixes, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can’t tranmute them with a Transmutation stone; you need to follow the recipe for transmuting them in the Mystic Forge, as the link provided previously shows. Good luck. =)
Unfortunately, the answer to both questions is no.
Only one Guild Wars account can be linked to one Guild Wars 2 account. There is no way to merge accounts or to aggregate Hall of Monuments achievements from multiple accounts.

You can only loot the chest one time, and one time only per event per character per account per ..everything. Try going to different balloons. =)
Nice infographic in the Time article. As for no people playing, I play on one of the very least-populated servers, and we still have overflow during prime time. Not sure where all these ghost-town servers are. I don’t expect this game to die any time soon, as has been predicted for the last 11 months or so, especially since GW2 is expanding into China. More players than the US has population? Goodness!

Sometimes, even though you have ‘discovered’ it before, you must re-visit the Chantry of Secrets to get Map Completion. You might try that, and see if it solves the problem. Good luck. =)

I think we will get the ‘bigger’ content on the same schedule as we would have without Living Story, or close to it. So, I am pleased there is new content every 2 weeks while we wait. Otherwise, the complaints on the forum would just be “There isn’t anything new to do, we are tired of waiting”, instead of what they are now. Either way, there would probably be some kind of complaints about content.

They also drop from those little chests behind Veterans in caves and such. I like them, they are worth 1 Silver 14 copper. They certainly do not replace rares, as I do those chests every day, and have rarely (kind of a pun) gotten a rare from those chests.
Pretty sure some people save their mails as an extra form of storage. Also, some mails from friends or loved ones are special. As well as some of the event mails having information you may not want to delete immediately. Perhaps, having OCD makes saving mails more difficult for some. I am not sure. =)
I have a connecting problem to my account. I forgot my password and when I reset i dont have any mail on my mailbox from GW2.com.I do not know what to do and I’m sure that the password and the username is correct but i dont play long time…

The devs have specifically stated the transfer of gold for the Golden Achievement is not disallowed.
