As the search function doesn’t work, I have no idea if this has been asked before.

I purchased the Royal Pass on the first day it was available, in part because it promised a magician and entertainment in the area. Neither are anywhere to be found. The pass’s viability will be exhausted before the next patch, and I am wondering where the magician and/or entertainment is.

Just to clear up some misinformation: ArenaNet co-founders Jeff Strain and Patrick Wyatt left ArenaNet to take roles at NCsoft West in 2008, and ultimately left NCsoft in 2009. Hardly midway through the development of GW2. Barely when it had started, if not before.

Lol, everything but the kitchen sink. It’s difficult to prove you are, indeed, the correct account-holder, and they often ask for the information multiple times. Also, ISPs and where the gold was obtained in the first place. But, yes, they have such information, if they know where and when to look for it, which is what the account-holder must provide. I am pretty sure they don’t want, nor have the time, to look through a year’s worth of account activity.

Hard to believe it's almost a year later.

My husband and I have been casual players with another couple for a few months and were enjoying the game. Today it abruptly came to a halt.

Somehow my husband’s account is banned for “engaging/assisting in real life money trading” today. I am deeply disappointed in the obviously flawed algorithm that is used to flag and ban accounts. Even a most casual inspection of his account will notice that almost all gold/items transfers are between us 4 and no one else. We are in our own guild of 4. His account has not even made more than ~150G in it’s life time. In fact we can only guess that his account was banned because the 4 of us pooled all our gold together last night to make 200 and passed it around between us for the achievement. The gold was returned to original owner almost immediately. While none of the rest of us 3 are banned for the exact same thing.

While I applaud the effort to root out and remove rule breakers, I am very disappointed that clearly no minimal investigation was even done before a ban is issued. I only hope that his account will be reinstated shortly, but it really make me question what innocent actions will warrant us a ban again.

Sadly, the exact same thing happened to me. ‘Permanently’ banned for gold-selling, after placing 200 gold in guild bank for a guildie to use temporarily, then removing it immediately afterward. Fortunately, after 4 appeals, and tons of evidence provided, my account was re-instated. I am sure your husband will regain control of his account through working with Customer Support. Hopefully, they have re-iterated their ticket responses, so they aren’t so discouraging. Good luck. =)

ok i have this problem that doesnt allow me to login in the game, every time i try to log it keeps saying that my username or password is invalid, im pretty sure that the info is correct, i even tried to change the password several times but i simply cant login, i have no problems logging on the foruns, just the game

ps. says: build 22224
error code: 11.1001:2:1270

Are you using the email address associated with your game account to log in? Is your password saved in your browser, where you can check to make sure you are using the correct one?

Sometimes people try using their display name, or forget their password, and it will create an error. Good luck. =)

As I posted earlier, this was fixed for me awhile back. Now, it is back to being unreadable. I haven’t changed any settings. I happened to check it again, because I placed a new mini in my Hall of Monuments; I am not positive it updated.

He’s the original owner of the gw2 account, but someone else made the email he used for him, so he cant recover his email to “comfirm authentication” or w/e

Has your friend contacted Customer Support and asked for assistance? He doesn’t need to be able to access his game account to do so.

My account was banned ‘permanently’ and I got it back after 4 appeals, so yes, accounts can be recovered. I am sure things will work out for you, as well. =)

This item is account bound and costs 800 gems to purchase. It costs 3 copper per salvage and does (not – sorry I don’t know how to put lines through words) recover any upgrades from armor and weapons (it does recover upgrades, the gemstore description is wrong). . 10% chance to recover rare crafting mats and 20% chance to recover upgrades.

My computer remembers my password but I don't

I put a new hard drive in my computer and did a clean OS install. When I went to download GW2 I discovered that I did not know my account password. When I originally set up the account it would not allow the password I normally use for online games so I wound up using something I bizzarre that I can’t remember now.

Anyway I connected up the old drive so I can login and post here because it remembers my password for me, but I can’t change the password or even submit a ticket. That serial number thingy that was supposed to be in my email is gone. I still have all the spam ever sent to me by arenanet but no serial code or number or whatever it is called.

Anyone have any ideas? From what I have read of other people’s experience with Arenanet support I don’t expect any help from them but I was hoping someone here could tell me how to get the password from wherever it is cached on my hard drive.

If you are able to log into the forums, your browser must have the password saved. Check your browser’s tools for the saved password. Good luck. =)

If you are referring to the Golem bankers you get when creating a character, I believe those are soulbound. Even though they say accountbound, only the character that it is associated with can use it.

Will the Hall of Monuments ever be done? missing are the number items from 30 to 50. Also can I can have rainbow Phoenix?

There were/are no items associated with levels 30-50, only titles every 5th level. And, sadly no, no one gets a Rainbow Phoenix.

It would make sense to get more of the other two, as the odds are 2:1 you will get either light or heavy versus medium.

It always seems like you get more of what you don’t want, than what you do, regardless of the situation. More red lights when you want to go fast, more green lights when you want to stop and do something quick. Lol.

You can also use in-game gold to get gems to transfer, so there is no cost associated with that method. =)

I am not sure that is a phishing email. You might want to contact support, and ask them if someone else (pretending to be you) requested a change of email address.

You also might want to remove your email address from your post, as that just gives account thieves a head start.

i had a galaxy nexus phone and it broke with all my apps and data on it, i got a new phone and reinstalled the mobiel authenticator app but it seems i can’t use it anymore.

There is no way to delete your account, but you can delete all characters and keep all non-soulbound items, cash, karma, points, etc. Your bank and wallet will be intact when you create new characters.

Dragonbrand shows as Full right now, so it doesn’t seem underpopulated. I can’t answer your concerns about farming, as I do ok with drops, including precusors, such as Dusk. Good luck wherever you end up, though. =)

ok so i have found out on team speak now the french guy is playing your report system hes pretending in map chat hes building the trebs for defense so when you guys look at his reports its all clean please log on desolation wvw now and look what hes doing >.> a 2nd guy just got banned from our server now this is getting silly hes an evil troll.

I am afraid posting here does little. If someone is acting inappropriately, the best course of action is to submit a report; either in-game or through the Customer Support system.

You are welcome to contact Customer Support and send them your screenshots. Unfortunately, slurs (racial or otherwise) are not allowed. A good policy is to never type in chat out of anger or frustration.

Do they work on weekends? He’s done both and has had no response.

Yes, they work 24/7. Have your friend check his spam and junk folders. He should have gotten, at least, the automated ‘we received your request for help’ response.

Also, be advised that there is a cooldown (I believe) on creating passwords. I am not sure what it is, an hour or two, so he may only need to try again after waiting a period of time.

Hello. A friend of mine and I just bought this game. While the account process worked for me and I was able to upgrade my beta account, he is unable to create a new account from his email. The error he gets is:

“That password is not available. Either you’ve used it before, someone else has used it before, or it’s known to have been hacked from another game or web site. Please choose a new, unique password for your Guild Wars account. We recommend creating a new password by choosing four random, unrelated words, as shown in this comic strip.”

He has tried doing the recommendation and has also used completely jumbled up letters and numbers. Nothing works for him and he’s constantly greeted with this error. Can someone help? To freshly purchase a game for $50, only to be greeted with this error on step 2 is incredibly frustrating which could result in an immediate refund.

There have been trial weekends in the past, but there is no trial version at this time. Perhaps, ANet will bring back a trial during the 1-year Anniversary period. No one knows for sure, of course. Except ArenaNet. Lol.

I’m not on TC, nor much of a puzzle-jumper, so I probably wouldn’t be your cup of tea. I do play every day around that time, and other times, as well. Been here since beta, and not going anywhere.

If it’s any consolation, many of us leveled characters in the Beta Weekends, just to have them all deleted, and we started over. It was a good way to try different professions, and learn a bit about how the game is played. Of course, we got to keep nothing. =)
