Well, you can type /deaths in-game and see how many times that character has died since creation.
First Birthday Gift
Fixed a bug that prevented some player characters from receiving their First Birthday Gift. This should also give a birthday gift to all characters that are over a year old, including those that have already received one.

This is still not working as intended, I suppose. Four of my chars received their present on the 25th as well as today. Now I have two presents per char. I doubt this is some kind or preorder bonus
Per release/update notes: ’First Birthday Gift

So, it seems it is working as intended. =)
It is not possible to link two GW2 accounts. So, you will have two different display names. Remember, each account must use a unique email address. Good luck. =)
When karma comes in a chest, or some other vessel of distribution, how should we be notified that we have earned this karma upon opening said vessel? Would a little icon to the side be enough? Same with coin bags. Do we pay enough attention to that little scroll on the right side? (Which I wish they would either move, or speed back up a bit.)
I am not championing to keep the vessels, I am wondering if ArenaNet is considering delivery methods, and that is why they (coin bags and karma vessels) are still in-game.
grab-(one)-right now. The word one with a letter before and after.
My favorite part is being dead. It’s fun to be invulnerable, to chase the others, to collect the little blue orbs…..
Finishers certainly do not work in PvE. Seems like grasping at straws to try to make a point, at least to me.
Here are some helpful tips about reporting exploits:
How do I report a violation?
If you encounter a player who you believe violates our guidelines with inappropriate actions, vulgar language, offensive character or guild names, advertising of cheats or exploits, or any other breaches of our User Agreement or Rules of Conduct, we’d like to know about it. Please use our online help tool’s Ask a Question tab at the top of this page to inform us of the violation.
Here are some examples of violation details that you should send in your report:
The name of the character being reported
The name of the character you were playing at the time of the encounter
The time and date of the incident (with time zone)
A description of the offending action, dialogue, or name
Screenshot(s) of the incident (please ensure any screenshots are in JPEG/.jpg or GIF/.gif format and under 2 megabytes total in size before you attach them to your message)
Any other details that you feel are relevant
We will use the information you have provided to investigate whether a violation of the rules has occurred. If we do find any rules have been broken, we will take action.
Well, if you want to finish the achievement, you can guest to my world, and I will help you. =)
Oh, if you are on an NA server, that is.
There used to be paid tournaments, which required tournament tickets to join and included gem rewards for winning teams. These were eliminated in favor of free 2-team tournaments in the February 26th 2013 update, which also introduced a vendor that lets players exchange left-over tournament tickets for reward chests.
I don’t PvP, but is this vendor no longer there?
I got one last week or so, it’s been awhile since the last drop. Not new, just rare, as everyone else has stated.
I do not know what happened but my staff disappeared from bank/inventory. Any help? I was a glyphic berserker staff…
You can contact Customer Support and discuss the issue with them. Top of page – Support – Ask a Question. Good luck. =)
Screenshot? Nothing there.
So, if I log in at 10 UTC and log out at 11 UTC, but my cousin logs in at 18 UTC and logs out at 22 UTC, we only count as 1 person who plays the game, as we are not logged in concurrently? Gee, I wonder how often that happens?
Again, official dev response:
’Update: Just confirming you have no worries with this situation! It will be resolved in the very near future, and if your character or characters earned a birthday gift, that gift will be given to you. I do not think you should look for this tonight, but it’s coming!
And the good news is: You do not need to submit a ticket about this situation. (After all, we got the party invitation and know it’s your birthday, and we’d never dream of missing the Big Day! ~ even if we’re a bit late for some of the birthday folks! ~ )
:)’
Probably, your best bet is to post in the Tech Support forum, where they can help you with this. =)
The gift are per character as each character reaches it’s birthday. Some characters that are eligible for gifts have not yet received their gifts due to a bug. A fix is on the way.

It’s a new feature, as far as I know. =)
Linking GW2 to GW1 if just starting gw1
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Inculpatus cedo.9234
Hey folks, I never played gw1. I want to go back and buy the trilogy. A few gw2 buddies highly recommend it for lore etc. and will play with me. Can I still link the accounts from 2 to 1 and will it benefit my gw2 account if I go back and play gw1?
Thanks in advance! I know you can link from gw1 to gw2 but wasn’t sure if the reverse made sense.

As title says… Is using a cameramod allowed in pve?
note: cameramod as in first person view and the ability to zoom out further?
as seen in this youtube video: http://youtu.be/fBjHYVOCI9s?t=25s
Who will monitor it’s ‘only in PvE’ use? If it were allowed in PvE, nothing would keep someone from traveling over to WvW. So, no, it’s not allowed.
I noticed this with my items, as well. Although, I don’t think I put them in the bank. I could be wrong about that, but I don’t think so.
Oh, silly me! Thanks for the info.
Odd, only one of the three say ‘Soulbound to another character’.
There is a post in the Living Story forum (I believe that is where it is) from a dev, saying that the wording in the achievement was wrong, and it was supposed to say downed, not death. So, no bug.
I thought it was fairly obvious since launch that since the old mini pack was labled Set 1 that meant at some point there would be a Set 2, 3 4 etc.
Yes, released exactly at the time when every GW1 veteran was expecting new minis via a birthday gift. Total coincidence I guess.
I am pretty sure many people knew exactly what was coming in the birthday gift (i.e. Queen Jennah) a few weeks ago.
On the other hand, the release of Set II of the minis was a bit of a surprise.
Not sure how much that supports your conspirational-sounding theory.
i purchased the game yesterday, and i cant play it. everytime i try to login it says unable to gain access to the login server. the error code is 42:1000:7006:891 id really like to be able to play the game i just paid for
That particular error code is usually displayed when there is a high volume of traffic. Let’s try a bit of troubleshooting:
Are you using the email address associated with your game account to try to log in? Using your display name (Johndoe.xxxx) will engender an error.
Have you tried disabling your Anti-virus temporarily?
Some virus detection programs need the game to be white-listed.
Have you tried browsing the Tech Support forum?
Sometimes there are great tips to getting the game started there.
If all else fails, you can submit a Tech Support ticket to Customer Support, and they will assist you.

Good luck. =)
Title: Miniature Collector – Obtained upon collection of 54 Miniatures. (Set I)
Under Community.
Same problem here.
Seems to be a prevalent bug. My first character has received nothing, as well.
I played Guild Wars 2 since the pre-launch, and so far my first character hasn’t recieved a gift yet while others have.
Is this a common problem or is it just me?
There are several threads about this issue, here’s one: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Birthday-present-4-5-got-it/first#post2697781
Nope, it’s not kosher. Use at your own risk.
I submitted a ticket for an email change WEEKS ago and haven’t heard a thing. I don’t know why a ticket has to be made for something that is so easy in other games.
Have you checked spam and junk folders? Have you updated your ticket? Have you logged onto your support account and looked for a response? You can always post your support ticket number in the above sticky for 3-days and Older thread, and ask for assistance. Good luck. =)
You are welcome, glad to help. =)
I think their ‘use’ is to be shown off. =)
Did you happen to notice the Queen, (or her doppelganger, should we say) had shoes on during her ‘speech’?
The releases page tells us what’s coming every two weeks. Some people are concerned that there is too much pre-release information for each patch. There is a whole sub-forum created just to discuss each new releases upcoming content. I, too, did not understand the part about the first dungeon being difficult to locate. All of the dungeons are marked on the World map, as well as letters sent, at each appropriate level. What are your suggestions for both of these issues? =)
You need to be able to enter the portal, either by completing the necessary steps to activate it, or joining a party that has access to the portal. After doing so, you will be able to enter the Pavilion, once again.
Gee, would be kind of silly to buy Digital Edition from another retailer for 10 dollars more, when you can buy Heroic from ArenaNet and get the additional goodies. I wonder if anyone still sells ‘Digital Edition’?
Why would we? Deluxe Edition is just whatever current regular edition is offered plus golem, rytlock, mistfire, etc. Though, I have heard/read the new golem is 2 weeks, as opposed to 5 days. Just because someone purchased a DDE, doesn’t mean they didn’t get the ‘extras’ a DDE offers.
If anyone should complain (and they shouldn’t), it would be those that bought a regular edition and did not receive any extras. Of course, those people did receive every free item and content release that was offered between the time they purchased and now.
The new 2 week golem is buyable, the deluxe version comes with a free 5 day golem, that’s the difference.
The Deluxe version was there before the heroic version. There’s a difference in buying a higher tier product while not being able to receive at least the same amount of content a lower tier product in addition to more incentives.
Re-read what I wrote and re-read what you wrote. It’s clear that you don’t know how to express your thoughts out properly.
My apologies on confusing the golems. Oh, and thanks for the insult. I hope you get everything you deserve, or feel you deserve. =)
A Birthday Gift is an item received by a character once the character reaches their birthday; each year after the day of account creation. For example, a character created on August 28th, 2012 will receive their birthday gift on August 28th, 2013.
This appears to randomly be character-based. Each of your characters might or might not get one, at random. So RNG applies.
Your last sentence should read, “For example, a character created on August 28th, 2012 might receive their birthday gift on August 28th, 2013.”
I will be sure to pass your suggestion along to whoever wrote that sentence in the wiki. =)
Yes, congratulations and happy anniversary, ArenaNet.
I think my favorite addition to the game is the bump up to bi-weekly releases. Always something new to look forward to! =)
