Hello! When I purchased Guild Wars 2 I had an old Yahoo Email account. I no longer use that account and since deactivated it. I was wondering if I can change my login to my new email over at Gmail? I’m worried that if I need to respond to an authorization email that it would go to my old deactivated yahoo account.

Your best bet would be to amend your post, as petitions are against forum rules. If you want a Dev to consider your suggestion, then don’t post something that will most likely be deleted.

I find Yahoo mail puts the emails from guildwar2@ncsoft.com in the spam folder,now, as well. I used to get the newsletter delivered to my in-box with no problems. Now, it’s considered spam. I have never received any phishing emails, so that’s not the reason.
It’s not that hard to read the Dev posts. Has it own sub-forum and everything. But, if you don’t like to visit other sub-forums, that’s ok. =)
I agree 100% OP. Content should never be removed without warning. It’s the wrong thing to do.

ARENANET get better at communicating. I hate that you remove content from your game that really really really needs more content but I have more hatred for your poor communication.
There is no excuse for your company to have such a disconnect from such a basic concept. Your customers give you money, show a little respect and put some effort into better communication.
You forgot to list the part where they communicated and posted their reasons for removing the content.
I sent a ticket about 2 months ago when my boyfriend used my credit card to buy gold and I noticed later that the amount had been withdrawn from my acoount twice, with two different names. This i never got an response to and as well I posted a ticket recently about a quest bug where I added a screenshot as well. Where are my tickets going? How will we solve the gold issue?
Have you logged onto your support account to check for responses? Have you checked all folders (spam, junk, etc.) in your email account? Have you updated your tickets? You should always get, at least, an email acknowledging your request for assistance.
Also, I am not sure what you mean exactly about ‘buying gold’. Did you mean gems? Because you can not buy gold directly, only purchase gems and exchange them for gold. =)
Well, to be fair, we could see our names in GW1. But, that feature isn’t part of GW2, and would only become one, I suppose, if enough people requested it.
I have to say I miss this feature.

Well, because dailies start over at reset. I imagine it would be somewhat difficult to make the dailies reset at an unknown time once a month. Probably a lot of programming to make them act oddly on just that one day. It seems this comes up every time on patch day, where there are dailies tied to the current achievement meta. You can always post in the Suggestions sub-forum about changing the way dailies are reset. =)

Did you ever buy Elonian wine? CS returned gold to those that bought it when the price was bugged.
I’ve heard that this issue of ghosts/mesmer phantasms losing their ghostliness at low Character Model Limit/Quality settings has been corrected. Can anyone confirm this?
I use low quality character models, and some ghosts are ghosts and some ghosts are not. It is about half and half in Plains of Ashford. Haven’t been in AC or elsewhere, so I can’t comment on that.
You say extend it as previously, but the exact same thing has happened with each patch that used dailies for the meta. They end at 00.00 UTC of patch day, as they should.
Resets happen at midnight (00.00) UTC. There was no daily for boss week today because in UTC time it is already the first, which is patch day. Since the game is played globally, that only makes sense.
As far as Teq not spawning, that is a different issue.

The daily kill teq in the achievement list is also gone.
The achievement is gone because reset put us at the 1st of October, UTC time, which is patch day, so Boss Week is over.

yes and they don’t even reply. Which is why I am posting since they don’t answer.
And changing the account name seemed to work but actually the trial was attached to a brand new account so no HoM connection can be made.
If it has been more than 72 hours since your friend has opened his ticket, and heard nothing, he/she can post the ticket number in the sticky for 3 Days and Older, and the Support Liaison will take a look. Or, your friend could just make a new trial account, one that wasn’t linked, to save time. Your friend could deal with a linking issue after they had purchased the game, if they should so desire. Don’t forget to use a current character name. Deleted character names will give an error. If none of these tips work, you will just have to wait for CS to help you. Good luck.

I know someone with a GW1 account who tried to play this trial. The screen shows an error that says there is no GW2 access to the account when using client to log in. When trying to register for trial it says the password must be 8 characters and it’s actually 8 or more. When trying to contact GW1 support, they say they can’t help. And can’t post here on GW2 forums because no account.
Has your friend contacted Customer Support for GW2? They would be the ones to contact about playing the trial for GW2. CS can be contacted from the top of the page or by emailing CS at support@guildwars2.com

I didn’t even know that was an attainable hint. Regardless, my hints are stuck at 92/93 or whatever the number is because of the mail hint. Many, many people have encountered the bug in hints, be it mail, or gem store (in your case) or something in WvW, or weapon skills, or something else. It’s just a bug that they haven’t either been able to fix, or it is a ways down on the list.
This would best be served in the Game Bugs sub-forum. =)
Then, you are asking for a better reward? Nothing about the content of the Dailies/Monthlies.
Perhaps the developers will change the amount of karma earned in-game, yet again. =)
How to fix a common error on the Gem Trade

I’m having an issue where my trade gold for gems, and my trade gems for gold is grayed out, and seems to be miswired to someone else, or no one at all. To be clear it’s my currency exchange that is broken. Yes I’ve restarted my client. The kind of support response I received, is that it may have fixed itself, due to the tp being under maintenance…days ago? My response being that no, I still have this issue. Their response being we understand you’re still having trouble. Please provide us with more information and a picture?
Do they understand? Because I responded that the tp being down two days back, did NOT magically fix anything, and their response is asking me for the same information I’ve already given them.
Is this the typical response everyone gets? Is it going to continue or is it likely that I will get help? Do you buy gems normally? Has this ever happened to you? How was your support?
I’d really like to buy some transmutation stones.
I have the same issue since a day or two ago, and if I click one of the other tabs in the TP, such as Items I’ve sold, or Pick-up, and then go back to Gem/Gold exchange the page is no longer greyed-out. Sometimes, it takes more than once of flipping back and forth between tabs, but it always works eventually. You might try that. Good luck. =)
Game message can't connect to log in server

Today when I logged into the game I received a message saying that my account cannot log into the log in server. The message just keeps popping up and every time I switch a zone, but it doesn’t prevent me from logging into the game. Also I appear as offline to everyone, I can message people and I can talk in chat, both general/guild/etc but I still show up as offline. Has anyone else gotten this before? I literally was in game 5-6 hours ago and was fine and have been playing almost a year without this ever happening. Please help
You might try posting in Game Bugs or the Tech Support sub-forum. Not really an account issue, so they would be more likely to have suggestions for you. =)

Not sure why you think he purchased a DDE instead of the Heroic Edition. But, if he did, then his wife will get everything that comes with the DDE, and if he purchased the Heroic Edition, then only the game and those 3 other items, one time only. =)

If I understand what you mean I belive that such a thing is already in the game. Just type /me xxxxxxx and it will show up in the chatlog.
I was thinking he/she meant he/she would like animations for all the emotes you can type in chat that give no message (unknown command) and do nothing for/to your character.

Well, if you purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition, you will get the banker, etc. But if you only purchased the Heroic Edition, you get the game, Legacy Armor (once), Mithril box (once) and 10 boosters (once). As far as I understand. =)

Doing this would be against the rules, so I can’t recommend doing so. Your only recourse is to report said players either using the in-game tool, or by contacting CS.

Hi, probably a stupid question. I recently purchased the Heroic Edition for my wife so we can play together but I can’t see how to reclaim the bonus items that were listed to come with it. Does she need to be a certain level or go somewhere to collect or enter a code somewhere? Tried searching on Google but can’t find any info on how to get it. Thanks in advance
They should have been sent in the mail as soon as she created her first character. If she didn’t receive them, then she might want to contact Customer Support and let them know. I’m sure they would be able to assist her. Good luck. =)

Well, it says item, not armor, so my guess would be yes to armor. No idea about ascended backpieces as I don’t have one…I don’t think I do, anyway.

Most items have made a comeback; Boombox 2 probably will, as well. I’m thinking it will be seen again when SAB makes a return for World 3, if not before. If you can’t wait, maybe you could exchange some gold for gems?
Each family of mobs gives their own boxes/bags/etc. So you can have a few different stacks of exotic ones, or rare ones, or any other tier. The wiki will show you all the different ones. =)

Daylight savings has recently occurred here and instead of jumping an hour forward, the clock in my chatbox has jumped 2 hours forward. So now my clock in the chatbox is an hour ahead of what it is supposed to be.

1) The search function on the forums is broken, and has been for ages. But, I’ve not read anything about this before.
2) Sounds like a bug, so you might have better luck posting in the Game Bugs sub-forum; this really isn’t an account issue.
When you use server time, is the time also off by an hour? Is your computer time working correctly? Doesn’t the game get ‘local’ time off your computer’s time?
Yesterday my client just suddenly stopped letting me in the game. I can log in like normally but when I try to get in the game it just doesn’t load. I have tried to download my client again but this did not solve the issue. Also I have installed a Virus scanner to see if the issue had somthing to do with a virus but my computer was clean.
I am a Mac user and really want to be able to play the game again.If anyone has the same problem or knows how to solve this please tell me.
Your best bet would be to post in Tech Support, and maybe someone there would be able to help you. Also, you can read the sticky about submitting a Tech Support ticket, and ask for help there. Good luck.
I do, but I find if I click on some other part of the Trading Post, and go back to gems/gold conversion the button ceases to be greyed-out. Sometimes, it takes more than one try, but it always works, eventually.
Why the need to go out of your way to seek these mats for ascended. What’s the rush? Why can’t you just collect the mats from the bosses when you happen upon one like you used to? You say chasing them down causes you stress and unhappiness, yet you do that to yourself. I certainly don’t go out of my way to get mats, except for logging onto a character I parked at the end of a jumping puzzle. That’s about it. I will (or will not) get an Ascended weapon when I get one, it really doesn’t matter that much, I just like the way the one looks. Still something even cooler-looking may come along before I make one, and I’ll use my mats, or whatever, for that instead. Lol. =)
