No, it wasn’t changed. Just a glitch.
Each attribute point put into vitality increases the maximum health of the character by ten hitpoints. Not plus vitality, vitality is a function that affects the health pool.
Since you’re asking if this is a bug (Title: Clocktower Empty Chest Bug), would this not be better served in the Game Bug sub-forum?
Seems to me when he says ‘we want people playing all parts of the game’, he didn’t mean the same people, but that they want to reward people no matter which part of the game they choose to find most attractive. Doesn’t mean each particular reward will found everywhere, nor as easily attained in each and every section/mode/area of content found in the game.
I suppose it’s up to interpretation, as (darn filter) so many things are. /shrug

It’s almost time for the inaugural World vs. World Season! Tonight, when the weekly WvW matchups reset, the season will officially begin.
Sadly, for many people, hint completion is bugged. Doesn’t seem to matter which one is needed, something won’t ding, be it Mail (for me) WvW area, Ranger (for you), weapon, etc.
There are countless threads about it.
You could try Forum and Website Bugs. Or you could contact Customer Support. =)
I am confused. Are you saying that what the playerbase (who votes) deem as most important is, in fact, not important? Does that mean that those that use the forums, and express their concerns are not those that should determine what is important? Who should deem what is important? If the forum-users don’t represent the community-at-large, who does? And where should the developers communicate, then?
I’m not really familiar with the PvP servers or arenas or whatever, but how do you know they are doing this? Are you there? They won’t play with you? Are you just afk, and watching? Or is this something with observer mode?
If it’s a private server/arena, I imagine they can do as they please. If it’s a public server/arena, then I imagine you can join in the fights and they won’t be able to ‘farm’ points or whatever without you engaging them in battle.
I think it’s a bit unfair to bring up ‘Collaborative Feedback’ for the current release patch, as this patch’s content was worked on beginning 4 months ago. I don’t think it would be reasonable to expect them to change the current release’s content with only a few days’ notice. Besides the fact that we have yet to even have the discussions of what who wants. Some people say they dislike items in the BLTC chests. Others, obviously, do like the items in chests. There is less RNG than there used to be, based on feedback, as now the chests use a sort of token system.
As for amounts of materials needed, I don’t know what the best solution is….
Easy to get the materials, and everyone has the item? Or difficult to obtain the materials, and the item is more rare and (to some) much more desirable? Perhaps that is something that can be discussed with the community.
Why not make both, play each of them, and then decide for yourself? =)

It would take some amount of gold, or some amount of time to establish a new personal Guild bank and upgrade it. It’s taken me over a year to almost be at the point where I can start researching Deep Cave. Maybe you have enough money to just buy the influence. Since you played since release, I’m sure you are aware of these facts, and that a Guild bank is the only way for you and others to have access to the same items.
I can’t imagine worrying about being banned from the game, unless I was planning on doing something unacceptable. Cheating, being inappropriate, buying/selling gold….
Unless you are implying someone could be removed from the game for their actions on the forum by a Moderator. No, I’m sure you wouldn’t disguise your intentions for this thread, so it must be something else. In that case, just following the rules of the ToS should keep you from worrying about any bans.
I don’t really understand. The ‘rewards’ offered in this patch are obtained by doing different content released in said patch. None of it is RNG, unless you are talking about drops, and I’m not sure what can drop. I hope some cool things can drop, just like in every other part of the game.
The rewards ‘advertised’ for this patch are all obtainable by playing the game. The items ‘advertised’ for sale in the Gem shop are weapon skins and dyes, minis, etc. I’m not sure where you are getting the ‘rewards’ are locked behind BLTC chests.
Now, there are things offered through the Gem store: new minis, dyes (from earlier), bone pick (also released earlier), and the infamous Chests. Nothing new added to the chests, but a new weapon set added to 8 or 10 already obtainable with scraps. You do know you can get BLTC keys by playing the game; it may be boring or ‘grindy’, but it is possible to get the keys for free. (Which is what I do, it doesn’t take long…a key every 2 or 3 days.)
I just think stating you can’t receive Halloween rewards without RNG chests is a bit hyperbolic, as you can receive most of the rewards by playing the game, and never going near the chests.
Maybe a suggestion to offer weapon skins, instead of other Living Story release rewards would serve us all better. Something to bring up when the Dev-Player discussions start up, yes? =)

Be happy you got a infraction, never got one. Suspended straight away for 71 hours. So mad, especially the lenght and no warning at all part. Well A-net has 71 hours to fix this or i’ll just quit this.
I do not want to be suspended for this lenght without a warning and backup, an infraction would be in place.
How can you be suspended from the forums, and still posting? Are you, rather, speaking of being suspended from the game? In that case, you probably got a reason, and surely got a warning in the ToS. Only thing you can do is submit a ticket if you feel the suspension is in error.
I’m sure waiting a couple of weeks to get a PoI won’t be too bad. Some people wait months to get them in WvW. I think a bit of mystery is a welcome addition to the game!
Because of the toxic nature of the forums recently, some people are afraid to post their thoughts. Seeing that rampant disrespect and rude remarks toward the very developers of the game goes unchecked does not facilitate an atmosphere where others whose opinion doesn’t ‘go with the current flow’ can feel safe to post that opinion.
Hopefully, the forums will become a place where no one will be attacked, and we can all discuss issues like the civilized people we are.
Oh, I should have updated this. After reset yesterday, I killed the Horror, and got the achievement…no problem. It probably has to do with how much damage you do in those large zergs. Remember, there are different thresholds for receiving Gold, Silver, Bronze and doing enough to qualify for rewards. Maybe the threshold is a bit high on these Champions, I’m not sure.

Again, ‘creating a ticket’ in-game will not engender a response from Customer Support, or anyone else. If you want a personal response, you must create a ticket using the Support ticket interface (or email CS at support@guildwars2.com) outside the game.
I’m wondering why the pumpkins are back to carve if we can no longer advance the ‘historical’ pumpkin carving achievement. I can’t test this one because I got the achievement last Halloween.
Because they’re including pumpkin carving in the special rotating dailies that count towards the current, new Halloween meta.
Are you saying that the title is no longer attainable? I assume that pumpkin carving may become one of the Daily tasks, but I’m wondering how you know this, already.

I can’t even find the historical pumpkin carving achievement. I know I didn’t complete it last year, and would like to rectify that.

You can only contact Customer Support outside the game to get a response. In-game reports are for bugs or unacceptable behavior and such. If you want CS to look at your specific issue, you will need to contact them through the Support site, or send an email.
I think they ‘fixed’ or adjusted some Runes and Sigils, as well. Maybe there?
Maybe check your traits and skills against the list of those that were changed or changed position?
Not if the guild bank is on another server than your home.

I think everyone experiences that. Seems to come up every so often on the forums. Suggestions I’ve seen before is to have someone you trust join your guild and send the items over, or…indeed…transfer twice. Sorry there isn’t a better choice.

How do you know your infractions haven’t cleared? I was under the impression no one really knew where they stood.

Your friend should check all other folders (spam, junk, trash, etc.). If no mail can be found there, she can try emailing CS at support@guildwars2.com and/or try using another mail provider. Maybe the one she uses is preventing mail from ArenaNet from arriving.
Who knows what that strange, black, fog-column in Kessex Hills will bring?
It’s not only ‘skill recharging’, it’s ‘you don’t have enough energy for that’ and …gee, some other red message that didn’t show in regular chat before.
I have to agree, it’s very annoying as far as being able to read chat goes.
Well, they did mention that the backpack would only be available during that release on the first of October. You have to keep up with Dev posts, but there is a sub-forum just for reading their posts.
Hall of Monuments armor is Heritage armor, not Legacy armor. The Heroic Edition does contain Legacy armor, just as it states. In order to obtain Heritage armor (HoM armor), you need to add achievements to your Hall of Monuments in GW1.
You may or may not get a refund; you can only find out by contacting Customer Support, and waiting for their response.
I’m scanning right now using Avast, but I’m wondering if there’s any specific program I can use that checks for keyloggers specifically? I’m looking on google but any suggestions would be great.

I thought chests were once/day, as well, until reset happened. Then I got a chest for Lich and Candy Corn guy. So, it seems haphazard. Also, even though I killed Lich 3 times before reset, I didn’t get the Achievement credit until I killed him after reset. /shrugs

I’m sure you didn’t expect the Halloween content to be permanent. That would be odd, to say the least. The reason the cut-scene format was changed was exactly because of player feedback. Most complained about the two talking-heads, and wanted a full scene reminiscent of those in GW1. Not sure how ArenaNet can please everyone, as many have opposing desires.
I, for one, am enjoying the Halloween update. It’s just as I thought it would be…plus more. The last 3 updates weren’t my cup of tea, so I patiently waited for this one…without complaints, as I understand others enjoy dungeons and large-scale content. The minis and backpacks aren’t important to me, either, so nothing to lament over losing.
We can hardly expect changes to happen overnight. Remember, each month’s full patch is on a 4-month turnaround. You never know, maybe November’s patch will release a new area, just as last November’s patch did. =)

I recently purchased the collector’s and i’ve heard that it only is given on your first character. I don’t want to delete this character and lose my miniature. I just want to make sure if this is true or not.
I wanted to delete my character to change home worlds so how does that work?

Just put your Mini Rytlock in your bank, along with any other item you want to save. Everything will transfer with you except soulbound items. Those you can salvage, if possible, or vendor.
Must be for the second half of the month’s patch. Spooky music there, as well. Ooooo.
It didn’t get ‘changed’ on mine. And there hasn’t been a ton of posts about it. It may be possible you accidently clicked the icon without realizing. Or you are just ‘special’. Lol. =)

Many times, pro-duelers say they would like to duel with PvE gear. What’s the problem with having a specific place to duel? If you want to run a dungeon, you go to a dungeon…if you want to play a mini-game, you go there….etc. I don’t care if some want to duel, I just don’t want it out in the open world. There was a …person in LA yesterday, spamming ‘FIGHT MEEEEEE!!’ over and over in chat. I found it annoying.
There isn’t any list of ‘exceptions’ that I have ever heard of. If CS can’t find the item, they are unable to replace it. Sorry for your loss. It may still show up, there’s always hope. =)
