It’s probably difficult for them to ascertain what players feel is fun just by whether the content is played or not. I enjoy what most people say they do not, and participate rarely in what most people say they do, though not always because I don’t like it.
It’s a crazy world.
Some things….a few….I do for the reward, or prospective reward. But, on the whole, if I don’t care for something, or feel overwhelmed by it’s implementation, I don’t do it. Like most PvP-type content.
On the other hand, doing some of the things I thought I wouldn’t like (just for the reward) changes my perspective about said content, and I find they are more fun than I thought they would be.
I am not much of a zerg-follower, unless I find there is no other way to accomplish my goals at that time.
I guess, if people are willing to do content they “don’t like” for the resulting reward, they still sort of do like it….or, at least, like the process enough to do it.
Maybe I am just odd, though. Lol.

You are allowed one account rollback per game account….if the account was compromised, and if said compromise took place after early-ish December 2012. You would need to speak to Customer Support about getting a rollback. Good luck.
Windows has a nifty little clock app built-in. Down in the taskbar, that shows your local (computer) time, you can set it to show another time, anywhere in the world.
Right-click – adjust Date/Time – Additional Clocks – (UTC -8:00 Pacific Time)
After setting this additional clock up, whenever you hover over the time on your computer, 2 additional (world-wide) times will also be displayed. =)

I cannot assist you through the forums, but I can say that Comcast seems to be blocking some of our mails. I suggest you give me your ticket numbers and I’ll ask an agent to take a look at them. Please do not make additional tickets, that only slows the process.

I found it only counts when you get the chest at the end. Are you getting the chest each and every time?
If you delete all characters, you can move to any server (except those Full) free of charge. Remember, everything non-soulbound will move with you in your bank and wallet. Good luck on your new server.

If you received an email seeking authorization for an IP other than your own, it may be prudent to change your game password and the password to the email associated with your game account. Someone may have your game log-in information.
As to the URL not ending in .tk, it doesn’t matter….it’s not from ArenaNet. If you read the sticky, it was stated that ArenaNet will never contact you first and threaten to suspend, ban or close your account….they act and then YOU must contact them.
Remember, many sites send out phishing mails. Each one can see others’ and improve upon them. The text in the phishing emails has progressively gotten better since they first starting appearing all those months ago. When I hover my mouse over links in the mails posted, I never see anything but what is written there. I don’t know if it is because they are on the forums, or because my computer is set up wrong, or what. But I can recognize a phishing email, as we have had so many posted on these forums over the past year. No need to contact support, though you can browse through the information library on the support site, and find this information. Good luck.

Do not be alarmed when your display name is changed as well, it will most likely be an anagram of your present one.
I think many people have the bug. When they fixed the no-mask bug, it created the no- ToT bag bug. I only get multiple masks, now; before the fix I only received bags.
I’ve always considered them something to work towards as a cosmetic item. Some of them look quite nice.
Mushed Spore Samples are acquired when harvesting Toxic Seedlings for Pristine Toxic Spore Samples and the harvesting fails.
As the ‘harvesting’ fails, you didn’t really collect the Spore sample. /shrug
I have this issue, as well. There have been a few times, in the past, this showed up, but it always eventually cleared up.
On completing thee 8 games for Lunatic Inquisition I did not recieve a loot bag. I got the achievement points and it showed up in recently completed, but when I zoned out the counter reset.
The counter resets every 8 games, as a ‘new’ tier to get the loot bag.
That’s odd…I have around 100, and I’ve spent tons of them. Maybe you should put in a ticket with CS.

Have you tried using another browser? Logging out and back in? Unticking the box and ticking it again? Using another signature? Might be just a glitch for you, as others’ signatures seem to be working.

I find Yahoo mail puts the emails from guildwar2@ncsoft.com in the spam folder,now, as well. I used to get the newsletter delivered to my in-box with no problems. Now, it’s considered spam. I have never received any phishing emails, so that’s not the reason.
Question for you, as I’m trying to track this issue: Have you received any phishing emails which you flagged as “spam?” One theory is that since the ISP cannot determine which emails using our address are legitimate as opposed to fake, once someone flags any email from us, or from someone pretending to be us, then all subsequent mails are flagged as spam.
No, as I said in the original post, I have never received a phishing email, nor do I use my mail email address as my game account email address. Never received even one piece of any kind of mail to that address, as it was specifically created for the GW2 game account.

I know…it’s irritating. Been like this forever. I have just become accustomed to clicking the heading at the top of the thread whenever I use a link or look at a picture. =(
Except in Orr, I find very few waypoints locked that are a 10-minute walk away from any other waypoints. It seems most maps are a 10-minute walk in toto. I do notice that one in the bottom left corner of Plains of Ashford is always contested….I doubt, on my server, there is always a guild in their doing the puzzle, or whatever is behind it.

It must be difficult trying to keep the playerbase happy when it can’t make up its mind what it wants as a whole. Especially when it often says it speaks for the majority.
I really like this update, it’s exciting to me. And when I find one released I don’t care for, (like the 3 before Halloween, or so), there are plenty of other things I can do while I wait. I am thankful I don’t have to wait months and months …or even years for updates I will enjoy.

I have a friend that registered a new account today and when trying to login using his username and password he gets the following message : “The account name or password entered is invalid. Please check your information and try again.” He can’t recover his account because he doesn’t have a character name yet.. On the bottom right it says : " Built : 25403 error code 11:1001:2:1270
He already made a request with the id : 20873, like 10 hours ago and still haven’t got an answer..
Any help or info is appreciated.

Make sure your friend is using the email associated with his account as the ‘Account name’ and not his Display name (Johndoe.xxxx) to log in. Using a Display name will cause this error. Good luck. =)
I’m not sure what picture you are referring to, but you can not change your account name (Display name), at all. Only Support can do so. The only thing you can change associated with logging into your account is your password.
Unfortunately, there is no way to move characters across servers, save for obtaining gems…either with cash or in-game gold.
Just opening a door doesn’t count…an event marker must come up, as well.
I’m so annoyed right now I can’t even express it. I’ve tried to make a TICKET but it says “you can’t leave the email address and ticket issue blank”. I DIDN’T. I tried over and over again and gave as much information as I possibly could, still it says those fields are blank when I KNOW for a fact that they aren’t. I’ve tried to provide my email to reset my password and when I click the button it just reloads the page and does nothing. I tried that many times, but I still got no email. I don’t know my password, and I’ve lost my serial code. I haven’t been able to play the game because I can’t even log in.
If you are able to log into the forums, you must have your password saved in your browser. You can use your browser’s tools to find your password, and use it to enter the game. Good luck.
I don’t know why I do this. All those letters you get when you finish a heart? I keep telling myself I will take the time with a character (or several) to read them. I haven’t yet. I have read a few….
It took me many play-throughs in GW1 to read enough lore and finally understand the story. I think people are excited about the play offered to them when it’s new or engaging, and leave ‘stopping to read’ for another time, often.
I have, however, read all the stories on the site…albeit not when instantly released, but when I have the time, and am in the mood. It’s always during the relevant patch, and I must say, some of them are very good and quite exciting or touching.
I do believe they are trying hard to get more ‘lore’ into the game. I hope it will be in a manner that doesn’t detract from playing the content.
Unfortunately, when choosing an inappropriate display name, the name is changed for you. That is the policy at this time. The only way to get a different display name would be to purchase another account.
It is not just entering GW1’s HoM, but speaking to Kimmes and changing your HoM instance from character-wide to account-wide (or vice versa) and back again. Then, visiting Kimmes in GW2. The wiki also provides the steps to help with a stubborn Hall of Monuments. Good luck.

I am hoping they iron out the bugs quite quickly for you all.
I have stupidly deleted the items I got for buying the digital deluxe version while fiddling around with the interface for the first time. Can these items be restored or do I have to just shrug it off to my own idiocy? Does the game come with stupidity insurance?
Customer Support often helps new players. Some people have submitted tickets (Top of page) with satisfying results.
This sounds very interesting, and would be lots of fun, I believe. Maybe ArenaNet will consider something like this in the future. Well done on your proposal. =)
I prefer the two-week updates. Remember each team’s update takes 4 months to create, as it is. Also, there is no reason (and they have stated repeatedly that are working this way) that they cannot do both, smaller updates and big projects that will be released through the Living World patches. I would not want to wait up to six months for some new content, as sometimes the content released in a patch (or two or three) is not my cup of tea.
Accounts are never ‘de-activated’ for inactivity. You can play, or not play, as often and as long as you wish. Good luck in your endeavors, and thank you for your service.

Hello
Yesterday I purchased a game key for my friend and made an account.
My friend tried to change the email but it failed..
When he signed off we were both not able to login the account anymore..
We tried with both mail adresses, no luck.. When I try to register a new account it says my key is already activated and I cannot reset my password as it gives an error message.I’ve already tried to contact support yesterday but they did not answer yet.. which is very very annoying for a starting player.
Any of you guys had this problem aswell and know how to resolve this issue..?Thanks for reading and your help.

There is no way a user can change the email address associated with a game account. Only Customer Support can do so. You and/or your friend (whoever owns the email that was originally used to set up the account) would need to contact CS, and make sure to check your spam/junk/etc. folders for responses from Support. They need some time to help you, but if you have not heard anything after 72 hours, you can post your ticket number in the sticky for ‘Tickets 3 Days and Older’.

Odd, my ‘My Account’ page is working fine. I wonder if the no whisper/guild chat is connected in any way to the Security page not working.
My bad. I hadn’t logged into the Launcher when I checked. As soon as I ‘log in’ to the Launcher, my Security page removes all evidence of any IPs being authorized. I wonder if that happens when more than one person has access to the account. I hope it only affects the person using the account at the time, else we would never be able to ‘disconnect’ an unauthorized (by us) user.
