Your first suggestion is somewhat already implemented in-game. There are many, many DEs seldom seen, as they only trigger when the area’s population is high enough. Though, population doesn’t affect persistent DEs, and maybe…as you suggest…it should for some.
I think we will see some changes coming in the next year or two. =)
I am sorry for your loss. And curious. What difference would it make if the scammer was ‘face-to-face’ with you? I mean, if the method of exchange was the same….whether he is across the zone or standing right in front of you, you would still have trusted enough to send him the gold first, no?

Yes, it is even noted in the wiki that fear (cast by anyone) doesn’t count, and is bugged in this way.
Wake up? I’ve not had that particular experience when using a portal. If there is an enemy when I portal, I usually either kill it or run past it. As for the tower, you could always use the diving goggles…or just jump off the side. Or, use a waypoint? I am pretty sure finding mobs near entrances/exits isn’t a bug, though I could be wrong.
for my monthly i need to do a certain amount of jumping puzzles to be completed.
though i have been having the troubles of; ONCE i complete them it doesnt count, it doesnt tell me or add it to my month it started happening after i completed my 8th one. after that it doesnt count my puzzles.
Are each and every one different? If you’ve done it once on any character, it won’t count again.

As much as I would like to, I haven’t been able to buy any gems with cash to support GW2. I have, however, been able to acquire many bank slots and character slots, unlimited gathering tools, costumes, and assorted other items from the gem shop. GW2 is great that way….you don’t need real money (after initial purchase) to play! =)

Hello there!
This is a problem of my on doing, as I didn’t really pay attention enough but now I’m pretty down about it! I deleted a character recently which was called “Jinx Valrien”, she had my Holographic Shatterer Wings! I never soul bound them, so they had no stats, only ever used them for show and just moved them between my characters. I’m really upset about this as they were my favourite item, is there anyway I can get them back?Also, I just realised, that I had purchased a mad king outfit from the gem store and that was also on her

Just out of curiosity, if you can not access your account, how do you know your character is in Cursed Shore?
Usually, when two identical IPs show up connected at the same time, one is your game account, and the other is your forum account…both logged in at the same time.
Once you regain control of your account, and it has been proven someone ‘hacked’ your account, you can ask for an Account Restoration and return the status of your account to what it was before this incident. Best of luck!
Remember, it is against the rules to use someone else’s account to post in the forum, as well. I am sure CS will contact you ASAP.

If you can not disconnect the IP, you will have to wait for Customer Support to help you regain control of your account. I am sure they will be in contact with you ASAP.
My friend hasn’t been on his account recently and he wants to transfer servers. He only has one character, so if he deleted it, could he transfer for free?
Yes, he can transfer to another server free of charge if he deletes all characters. He can also take all non-soulbound items with him as long as he places them in the bank first. Everything account-bound will travel with him to the new server, i.e. his wallet, achievements, bank, etc.
I always spend months getting gear or whatever. That way I don’t have to farm! =)

Lol. Nothing you did, the search function doesn’t work on the forums. You have to manually search for relevant threads. But, if it’s a ‘hot topic’, you will usually find something within the first 2 or 3 pages. =)

Ah, that is because you are not blindly panicking nor have you been saying the game is dead since release. If you would do either of those things I am sure it would be clear why they would shut the game down.

about 33.5 gold for the lightning catcher skin, 24 for the sun catch, and 60 for the wind catcher. All those prices are for Tarnished Coast Server though. Desert Rose is about 24 gold on Tarnished Coast though.
As for what will happen to the prices in the next six months. That depends on what Anet decides to do about these limited edition skins. If for example they decide to release duplicates of these skins on the Cash Shop, then they may not be seeing a huge amount of cost increase.
Prices are global, so there is no difference no matter what server you are on.
OT, I would save them, as most things have only risen in price as there are less available for sale, or the population generally has more gold to spend. Of course, one never knows what will happen in the future. =)
I know that at some point an ANet employee will be reading this thread. Would it be possible for an official response, in the hopes that people will quit griping over this?

’I asked about this today at a Business Team meeting. Those who purchased the Collector’s Edition are valued customers, for sure! But remember, there were a lot of goodies in that box, and it’s not customary, even if necessarily good business, to continue to give free items for a purchase made a year ago. I can’t think of any other business that would do that, that would say “I see you purchased a mixer a year ago. We’ve developed a handy new accessory and we’re sending it to you for free.”
And by the way, I’m proud to say that at the time it was released, our CE was hailed as “the best in the industry” with having so many nice in-game and physical features.
Sure, it’d be nice to continue to get free stuff for a purchase made in the past. I could see why you would want to get these things for free, but I hope you understand why that isn’t going to happen. Keep in mind that the items are available in the Gem Store or on the Trading Post, so you can get them for in-game gems, in any case I can think of.’
Feel free to substitute DDE, Pre-Order or any other version of the game for CE in the post. If they aren’t going to give CE-purchasers a few measly items, they sure as heck are going to give those that purchased the regular version (regardless of when said purchase took place) the items.

I can’t access my support account, I tried to reset my password but never
revived an email to do so – instead received a message saying : Your email address has not yet been verified. When I click the “Please send the welcome email to me again” I never get an email to verify.I’ve emailed support about this over 5 days ago but no update, and I’m hoping someone has a fix I can try.
There are no support accounts any longer. There is a new kind of Customer Support that no longer uses support accounts. You need only send an email through the ‘Submit a Request’ function on the Support page. They will answer you with a return email.
Would it help any if the official answer from a Dev was posted? I could take the time to look it up if that would allay your fears about the ‘state’ of GW2.
I’m not sure what you mean by saying ArenaNet is making the Heroic Edition ‘more limited than it is’. The items included are readily available to anyone, as is the Heroic Edition itself. If you can’t afford the gold needed to purchase said items, maybe you could ask the community to help you play and earn it. I’m sure many would be willing to help you out. =)
It would be nice if the Devs could address this, and even better if there was a fix in-coming.
The problem is that these botters instantly have a new account to play around with. It seems almost every day that I get whispered by a player by the name of (smack face on keyboard for random name), which I then report, only to be whispered by a new bot the next day. They just use random nonsensical letter combinations as character names, and whisper everyone in a zone automatically. I assume Anet is closing down all the accounts we report…. but how do they keep getting new ones and still make a profit? Are they using free access keys?
I imagine many of the accounts are obtained from the plethora of phishing emails sent out. As well as passwords found on many game sites, etc. Sadly, many accounts are compromised by those of unscrupulous means…especially those that are left idle.
I expected this, but it would have been nice to keep the glory coming in from activities. It did make me more eager to play them. It’s fun to have different finishers, if we are going to be finishing enemies in PvE. If the game is going to bring aspects of PvP into PvE (aforementioned finishers), then I would be thrilled to be able to earn some (albeit slowly) from Activities.
That’s odd. I have no problem with my obelisk. My candy corn node is fine. I use both every day.
I bought a broom from the Gem Store. On Halloween I was in a dance party, and then started riding my broom. I noticed that my skill bar still had the dance party options on it, so I clicked out of dance party. My broom vanished. Now I have no broom. I submitted a report ingame, and never heard back. What should I try next?
You need to submit a request through Customer Support. Top of Page – Support – Top of Page – Submit a Request.

I think it’s more that the consumers(Me included) would pay that much for an expansion to get rid of the LS approach because we feel that sucks(my opinion don’t freak out). I myself love most parts of the game including combat, WvW, dungeons, cosmetic progression, but I also feel that because of the lack of time given for each LS update most of those things have been thrown out the window for quick and easy content that will make people log in once a day and go straight to the gemstore.
If 4 months’ lead-time is not enough for each Living Story/World release, then we must consider how much time it will take to release a big project such as what might be included in an expansion-type release. Perhaps, the ‘big release’ will come in a year or so. =)

So, yeah. Some time ago I had to re-install my Windows, after which I re-downloaded GW2’s client. After all was downloaded and installed, I could not log in – my old password would not budge, nor, if I recall correctly, could I log into my account here.
I used the “recover account” option, made a new password and was able to log-in here, BUT – I still cannot log into the game itself. Few days ago I’ve received a mail about some mysterious activity going on on my account, and that it will be closed for 72 hours. It’s been well over 72 hours now.
Please help me, so that I may continue to play GW2 and consider spending some real money on quaggan backpacks and bunny hats.
First of all, the mail you received was a phishing attempt. Hopefully, you did not respond to it. If you did, you should change the password to the email associated with your account, even if you can not change your game password.
Secondly, you will need to contact Customer Support so they can help you regain access to your game account. Top of Page- Support – Submit a Request.
I prefer content released more often, than..say, once a year. I like having the choice of new things to do. I think the Living World-type content improves, usually, with each release, and I look forward to what the next year will bring.
For me, once I’ve done the Personal Story a couple of times, I just skip all the scenes, and repeat the instance. It’s fun…for the first few times, but that’s all.

@Wreave…I use the ‘disposable’ e-mail address from yahoo, and my address has no dash in it. Not sure why you think they all do.
I wonder if the problems with yahoo started when they changed to this ‘new and improved’ e-mail. It seems the issues started about the same time. No notice on the change, just one day open mail service and it’s all different. It takes a bit of getting used to.

Maybe it would come in the form of those new armor kits that were recently data-mined. All six pieces in one go.
I can see that the links in the Knowledge Base articles take you to a page asking you to log-in to your support account. They really should fix that, as well as update many of the different pages around the sites with old links or outdated information. Maybe a post over in Forum and Website Bugs will help.
All I can say is to use the link in the top right-hand corner of the Support page to ‘Submit a Request’.

Why would you have to do PvP or WvW for items you can not use in either place? That seems rather odd. Luckily, this suggestion is just that….a suggestion.

Support no longer uses the support account way of helping. Now, you just go to Support and submit a request (an email) by clicking at the top right of the page. If you are having trouble getting emails from ArenaNet, there is a thread here about that.
The data-mined information is on Reddit. The person that does it mines every patch. I don’t know what exactly it means, but there are some interesting things mined. Of course, many things have been mined that never came to see the light of day.
I am not sure if it is within the rules to put that link up, so….
Having reread the release notes, I don’t think it really matters whether we inject toxin or not. I think the bar is more like the bar we had in the first Halloween patch. It slowly filled up (or was it going down?) until it hit the mark where something substantial happened. Which for the tower, will be in about 2 weeks.
I may be wrong, but…. It would be nice if we actually controlled the content. Maybe.
I hope you have changed the passwords associated with your game account and email service. Also scanned your computer for malware and keyloggers, etc. Sorry about your loss.
