I have no idea what the next most popular topics are/were. If I did, it might influence whether I wanted another vote. It probably doesn’t matter.

I think it would be best if ArenaNet chose the next topic if it was something we might be able to influence. If the next topic voted on, previously, is basically already set in stone, or is of a nature where the Devs really can’t speak about it at this time, it would likely be a waste of time to discuss it.

If, on the other hand, you (the Devs) could give a list of topics that we might have the best chance on influencing in the future, I would be more than happy to vote on which of those to discuss.

Yes, many of us have this issue, and it is so bad it has migrated out of the game to other instances on the computer. It is impossible to use headphones as the sound would then really hurt your ears or startle you out of your seat. Turning off all sound has no effect on this ‘bug’.

I am not sure you can say no one plays in zones unconnected to the LS, as I do. But, it is true that for a few days after release day, the new content has a high population of players….and then they return to wherever they were before.

Although every update doesn’t suit me (such as the upcoming one), I know it is content others like. What does suit me is that I don’t have to wait long for something different to be released. So, overall, I am pleased with the direction of the game and updates. (Part of the practically silent minority/majority – take your pick.) = )

Who exactly decides what is the ‘good stuff’? My fractal level is 0, it’s just not that appealing to me. So much so that I don’t even know what kind of rewards you can get from it. Regardless, no matter how ‘good’ content might be, it is often consumed and then left behind. If the rewards keep people there, they often complain about it being a grind (because it soon becomes repetitive). I just don’t know what the answer is.

There happen to be 6 vistas in Rata Sum. This is probably the issue. =)

Make sure your mail is emptied out. Yes, I know it sounds odd, but having a full mailbox can cause items/gold from the TP to back up in the queue. It may take a few hours for the items/gold to show up, as well. It’s worth a try.

I’ve noticed it happens after battling in Personal Story as well. I am looking forward to a fix as restarting the client isn’t my solution of choice.

Any character you click on is turned the same way as the last one you clicked on. All of the listed issues in the OP aren’t bugs, afaik, since they never were things we could do to the best of my recollection. This might do better in Suggestions asking for those features.

I understand about characters facing whatever way the last one was, but if the sylvari male is moved to face forward, then all other characters face slightly left. It isn’t game-breaking for me, as I would never keep a male sylvari.

Okay so here goes….

I have Guild Wars Nightfall & EotN linked to my currrent GW2 account.
My sister has Factions linked to her account but has no use for it.
She has agreed to: having her factions account unlinked & linked to my nightfall account as to where if I play gw1 I can travel between both worlds of Factions to nightfall/EotN to claim the rest of my rewards. I hope that makes sense- But I was wondering could this be done without messing up her GW2 account at all? Can this even be done?

No, you can not share accounts, or give an account to another. It is against the ToS.
Also, once linked, you can not ‘unlink’ an account, for most purposes. In very special cases, CS might, but since what you are asking for is against the ToS, it would not be possible. Also, when linking any GW(1) accounts to other GW(1) accounts, it had to be done at activation, and no other time. You can find more information on this in the GW Wiki, the GW2 Wiki and/or the Knowledge Base. =)

From past perusal of posts, whenever something like this has happened, there has been no way to change the outcome. I don’t think it is possible with the tools at hand.

Wow! Were we ever able to zoom in on characters? I’ve noticed the stutter, I just thought it was part of the loop…expressly when the loop restarts. I don’t find it especially bothersome. The only really odd thing I’ve noticed at Character Select was the Male Sylvari are turned slightly to the right, instead of full face-on like every other character.

Just to get this out of the way…Was this the first time you killed the Hybrid? You must finish the Achievement ‘Tower Antitoxin Injector’ in the Hybrid Instance before you can achieve this particular Achievement (Tower Hybrid Master). So, everyone must do the instance at least twice before obtaining the mini.

I am a bit confused. I have never had to use a captcha in any dealing with the game or support. And what ‘stuff’ are you trying to see? Do you mean entering the game? Trying to open a Support Account? Are you, perhaps, at a phishing site masking itself as Customer Support?

Yes, I realize the email(s) for Edge of the Mists are separate, but it seems many, if not most, people who received the EotM email(s) also received the ‘new email change’ email, as well.

It is always best to contact Customer Support when in doubt about account security.

Much of the permanent content added sits abandoned. I am not sure it makes a difference if the content is temporary or permanent if no one plays it after a couple of weeks. =/

Once the item is in the wardrobe, do you need a transmutation crystal (or six) each time you want to wear it? If not, that is where the money loss comes in.

I am not saying I am not all for a wardrobe-type function. But this is where ArenaNet might see a loss of income.

It seemed to me that those who posted the longest multi-post posts, and posted the most often were usually the ones responded to. This might not have been accurate, but that was the impression given.

The thread became much too long and windy, I feel. It was hard to keep up with it. Once you left the forum to sleep or anything else in life, it could feel like you missed out, and could never catch up….akin to criticisms of bi-weekly updates where people feel they can’t catch up. I know you could sit and read all the posts to ‘catch up’, but that was a daunting task, and used up all the time you might have alloted to time spend on the forum, instead of posting yourself.

I hope a way is found to make the CDI more concise and less time-consuming where more people feel comfortable expressing their opinions. Too many topics were all jumbled up together, and by the time you reached the current end of the thread, the topic you might have been interested in was long past being current.

As the ratio of Devs posting to players posting is so very wide, I feel the Devs must use more control to keep topics focused; there is just too much going on in a thread such as this and is too difficult for 2 or 3 Devs to keep up with. If I don’t have the time to read every post, I don’t see how the Devs can. It is practically a full-time job.

You can try different dyes on the toxic gear, just like any other dyeable armor. Try previewing the armor outside the gem shop, and you won’t have problems trying any dyes in-game. =)

Using the on-site links should take you to the Support site. Saved links in your browser often give an error the first few times you use them…no idea why they don’t redirect properly.

Would you happen to reside in PST? If so, then your local time is server time.

Zendesk is the GW2 Support site. Did you also get email(s) about the Edge of the Mists beta? Did you sign up for the beta?

Not really CDI-related, but it would be great to be able to view only ANet responses in a particular thread. This enables us to quickly look up dev responses and summaries, which I think is an excellent way of keeping us informed of feedback and discussion.

Once you find the first Dev post (or any Dev post in a thread) you can jump to the next (or previous) Dev post only. So, they do have this already, sort of. The problem happens when it isn’t the first post of the thread, or on the first page, at least. I wish there was a way to jump to the first Dev post in any thread. If there is such a function, already, I haven’t discovered it.

I read it, as well, and I saw some proposed changes based on player feedback. It is true, though, that they haven’t made a comprehensive list and posted it.

Well, you can duel in your PvE gear in the new area next week.

I am opposed to dueling taking place just anywhere in the world. This is a compromise between the two opposing factions.

If it is the daily associated with Nightmares Within, they are pointing you toward the tower. They do show up in some of the random chambers, as well as elsewhere within the tower. =)

this skin looks quite dumb in any color other than black. which is what it was previewed in. when you go to dye it there are parts that remain black and green which do not go with the rest of my armor. i would like to politely ask for a refund of gems.

If you would like to ask for a refund, you would have to contact Customer Support. Top of page – Support. If I might make a suggestion, in the future, try out some different dyes on a piece of armor before purchasing. That way, you won’t be in for any surprises. =) There are several different methods to accomplish this.

Maybe the summaries you do should be sent out in an internal email to the Devs, or the Devs that contribute to whatever the topic at-hand is (or all Devs). Considering how long the threads can be, or even individual posts, they may be discouraged from participation in the threads just as many of us players are. Perhaps, more Devs might want to post in the threads, unless it is something mandatory, which I can’t imagine it is, as that would be taking time away from development. I can see finding half an hour or so to contribute on the forums, but not the hours and hours it takes to keep up with the threads as they turned out in these first excursions.

I wouldn’t trust the wiki to mention it, there have been changes to skills in the past that aren’t mentioned in the official patch notes, and the wiki is updated almost instantly to reflect the new skill parameters with no reference to the change. Most game wikis include historical information about skills and items that have changed over time, but there is no historical information to be found on almost anything in the GW2 wiki.

Perhaps, you don’t read the discussion pages, or peruse the histories. I’m not sure. There is a plethora of information on the wiki, if you look for it. =)

There was no time… As I said. By the time my toon rezed so I could see the screen I was almost dead from the Elite attacks. No time to do anything. And you can’t use a WP while in combat. Can’t leave the instance with a WP since when you open the map, all you see is in the instance. Sure seems like a nasty bug.. Unless you are a sadist game designer.

I meant, as another posted stated, to change the level of your map and waypoint out before you exit. No worries about dying then. =)

I enjoyed the new (year-old) art/video style of this trailer. Well done on the cinematic team’s part. To me, it had a very good action-comic book feel to it; I actually thought it was all hand-drawn. It was cool, lol!

I have to agree with someone, though…being able to skip cinematics after the first time would be a welcome addition in many places.

Edit: Having read your response directly above, one place I found recently that was un-skippable for me was the cinematic at the Hybrid machine. I had accidently triggered it after the fight was over in the instance (I had seen it before the first time I entered the instance at the beginning), and no option to skip to the end was offered. I can understand when cinematics are a part of an event and used to trigger certain parts of said event, though. =)

If gems to gold (though I’m confused why someone wouldn’t just use the gems to get the booster) wouldn’t be worth it, and this item will allow someone to make an epic amount of gold, use the gold you have been earning by selling mats and convert it to gems, get the booster, and it will pay for itself in no time! Win/win! =)

Doesn’t seem much different from the gathering boosts we can get from other means. Nor the boosters for obtaining gold, or anything else in game. I can’t see pay-to-win here. Just my opinion, of course.

You might try guesting to another server, to see if the quest is working there. =)

They are kind of difficult to find, I don’t know why. I found one yesterday whilst escorting those two sylvari collecting the spores or whatever. It was up against some rocks. I guess you have to look in odd places and the area connected to the heart is quite large.

Well, it is true that the first line needs a touch of rewording since the change in Support requests a couple/few weeks ago. It should read ‘Submit a Request’ instead of ‘Ask a Question’, but that option is on the page the link takes you to, albeit it isn’t glaring as it probably should be. =)

Still, the post is quite clear that you should be providing this (personal) information through a ticket to Support (Tech or otherwise). I am sorry you didn’t see the option to submit a request; hopefully your feedback will help ArenaNet should they decide to make their instructions more clear. I hope you have submitted a ticket now. Good luck. =)

Sometimes they are great! Sometimes, not so great. I’m glad some people have nothing but positive experiences with Support. =)

Salvage blues, sell greens if profitable, salvage or occasionally vendor otherwise, salvage whites usually because of Monthly, sell rares if they are worth a lot on the TP, otherwise salvage or save, usually save Exotics or use them, a few mats I keep stacks of, the rest I sell half or less of the stack on the TP every time they get full…or, in the few cases they aren’t worth more than vendoring, I use them in crafting to convert to another form. It’s always worth it to check the Trading Post…you never know what some things might be worth today! =)

Did you add any upgrades to the armor when crafting it? Adding any runes will make the armor character-bound, and thus unable to be sent or sold.

I just receieved an email from Arenanet to inform me my email has been changed. I received this email at 2 am in the night, when I was asleep, so I couldn’t have changed it. I didn’t go to the confirmation link, ofcourse, but is there anything I should do about this?

I was selected for the edge of the mists testing, so could it be related to that?

It turns out these emails from ArenaNet associated with Edge of the Mists (and associated email change) are legit. I don’t think you have to confirm anything, but you are able to download your beta version henceforth.
