You can delete all your characters and transfer at no cost, but there is still a 7-day cool-down in effect.
There is no way to circumvent the 7-day cool-down period.

I don’t believe you need any rating as Artificer to refine Essences of Luck.
As far as luck goes, you can easily refine them into rarer quality at the Artificer station. Less clicks! =)
Sadly, you are not guaranteed a toxic dye. It’s a chance you take to possibly get an expensive dye for less gold/gems.

I wish you and your family a pleasant Thanksgiving Holiday, whether you celebrate it or not. Maybe you enjoy American football….or maybe not! Lol.
Thanks for all your hard work!
It appears to be tied to the Great MMO Migration event, new players will bring letters of influence worth (i think it was datamined at) 5000 influence to their new guilds.
Ohh! Well, that’s cool. Lol, I would encourage them to start their own personal (bank) guild and use it there! Ha ha.
Aww.. the forums are a bit excited right now. Attention on other things.
Welcome to the game. There are a 101 tips, but first off, you might want to find out which server best suits your needs.
The wiki has lots of helpful information, and the Players Helping Players sub-forum might prove useful.

I wish you many grand adventures in Tyria! =)
Edit: Be a little bit careful with the OMG thread, it was written long ago, and some things are out-of-date. But, it’s mostly helpful. =)

I got it as soon as I logged in after the new patch was released (which was as soon as the download finished). I am in 4 guilds, and lead one of them.
I didn’t think it had anything to do with finding new people for guilds. I thought (and still do think) it is part of some upcoming content, or already released. I thought I was to look around for new NPCs, and talk to them.
(edited by Inculpatus cedo.9234)
Or they have updated their bug-fixing practices and/or hired more ‘bug-fixers’ and are able to do more as time has passed. The more bug-fixing going on, the better. =)
Each patch already takes 4 months to complete. You are asking for an 8-month turnaround. It might take a very long time to get any of our feedback into patches at that rate. There may be advantages and disadvantages with a schedule like that.
Just one of many over in Game Bugs.
I liked the video, I thought it was funny.
I am in the ESO beta, I can’t say it’s my cup of tea. I think it needs a lot of work, and the style isn’t for me. I’m sure there are lots of people that like it, though. =)
If you want to search back through the Game Bug sub-forum, there is a Dev response to this issue on or around August 19th.
I just bought this game today and now im playing the toturial and got stuck on a part.
Im suppose to meet up with a guy named Brimstone but i cant get to him becuase theres a large rock which i cannot go around

Aww, the puppy is so cute! I definitely want some antlers!! = )
Although, I haven’t seen any recently, maybe ArenaNet is changing the locations to discourage bots. Maybe, a kind of prophylactic design implementation, in case botters were thinking of trying again. /shrug
If there are ‘owners’ for each thread, and they are willing and committed to discussion and interaction in said threads, and could possibly keep you, Chris, informed and ‘in the loop’ for each thread, maybe you could just be the ‘overseer’ of the threads and we could have all three threads open at once. (Geez, what a run-on sentence. My apologies.)
I know I, and probably others, have little interest in some areas or topics that may be up for discussion. (This happens with game releases, as well.) Although, that is a minor issue, what may be more important is that topics that might influence game design/implementation decisions are 1/3 as speedily discussed with a one-topic-at-a-time cadence. A third choice on a list may be delayed for 9 to 12 weeks, before we get the chance to visit it.
I also don’t see any point in leaving topic threads open forever, or actually, any time once the Devs have left. There will be no more collaboration there, and anyone can open a thread to discuss the topic with other forum-users. If left open, I fear later posters will feel there is no collaboration because there are no Dev posts. (Some people may not read the whole thread, and miss where a Dev might state there will be no more official interaction.)
But, of course, you (ArenaNet) have much more information and I have faith in your choices. Thank you. =)
Ok. Are you saying you think you would not have this problem if you changed from the default ‘run’ to walk?
I’m not sure the degree of slope had anything to do with it, …I suppose it could have….but, why would it affect a character one moment in time, and not the next? Why certain characters in that area, and not others? Also, usually when I die from falling, the damage happens all at once, not in increments, like pulses.
Still, stranger things have happened in life or games! =)
I have tried, but the writing style makes it difficult to understand…for me. I’m not sure what you are saying. But, I’m not all that conversant with stat schemes in different games. =)
I thought the video was funny and entertaining.
The contest? Maybe they are hoping some people will submit some cosplay entries. Those might be fun to watch. =)
Odd that we would get falling damage when we aren’t falling. I’ve run up and down the ramp many times, and only got the ‘insta-death’ once. My guildie, as well. Funny, a few minutes later there was no adverse effect in that area. No idea what is causing it….seems like a very odd, sporadic bug.
I have 3 GW accounts with 37 characters, mainly because they were cost efficient for character slots, and there was a time you could not link accounts. After awhile, I barely played 2 of the accounts; I wish GW would have had in-game mail between accounts. =(
On purpose? Why would you believe that? What would they gain from disallowing a jump puzzle to be completed? An extra amount of bug reports to wade through? Lol, they probably have more than enough. =)
I would rather see Developers as regular players, than make it look easy, when, in fact, it may not be for many people.
Hey, for all those good players, this way they can say: I’m better than the Developers who know the game intimately! Win/win for them. =)
I think their approach to Dev streaming gives a ‘We are just regular people like you, having fun, succeeding sometimes, and failing sometimes, as well. We understand how you might feel about the game.’
I appreciate their efforts to show us parts of the game I may never see. =)
Error with Transmutation Crystal usage
in Account & Technical Support

I think what others are saying is: When transmuting, stats affect the rarity (color of name) and appearance (looks) affect the name of the item being transmuted. Thus, your end-result item is working as intended.
O…..kies! 15char
You are most welcome, huggles. = )
The Devs have suggested using the ‘Botting’ option when reporting this kind of gameplay, previously.
You can always report through CS or the exploit site, as an alternative.
Perhaps, Conditions would be part of Class Balance, as those running Condition builds are not perceived to be balanced with other builds by many.
Did you report them? That’s about all you can do.
There are several threads on the ‘Not So Secret’ jumping puzzle and this issue. I think the Devs are aware, so hopefully a fix is on the way. =)
Here is just one: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Jump-Puzzle-Bugging-Out/first#post3200511
Funny…a guildmate and I both experienced this ‘bug’ walking down the ramp past level 3 in the Tower. First I walked down, and something unknown hit me (there was no one and nothing anywhere near me), took almost all my life, I quickly activated ‘Healing Spring’, and whatever it was hit me again and gave me insta-death. I called my guildie to come rez me, as he ran down the ramp to help me, he was insta-downed and died. We happen to have someone else in our party, and after telling them about the anomoly, and warning them it might mean insta-death, they were able to safely come down the ramp and rez us both with no adverse actions. Whatever it was, was gone, and nothing affected us afterwards. There was no lag, or any other odd happenstances associated with this occurrence.
I still have some questions:
If each area (WvW, PvP, PvE) has their own ‘owner’ and set of Devs, why must each area wait to have topics (only one area active at a time)?
Will CDI threads be closed once the week (or whatever time alloted to each) is over? (The Living World/Story thread is still open.) If not, will there still be collaboration in said threads? If so, again, why no overlapping threads? If not, I am unsure how much collaborating might go on in the thread.
Are you, Chris, the owner of each area’s thread? If so, I can understand why only one area’s thread is open at a time, but, unless I misunderstood, I thought each area (WvW, PvP, PvE) has their own ‘owners’ and associated Dev team. If you are the ‘owner’ of all, I think that is a lot on your plate. Thank you for your dedication to this project. =)
Do the other Devs share your passion for CDI, or will this become part of their job description? Does everyone have enough time to keep up with (possibly) hundreds of posts about hot topics?
Just a few of the questions that have occured to me about this process.
Again, thank you for your time. =)

Lol, that’s why we use quotes, to indicate that that is the message and designation we receive when dealing with this unfortunate happenstance. ; )
Ahh…unless you were there, keeping up with that massive thread (I assume), you have no idea what ‘Doctor Orwen’s Theater of the Ages’ is. When summarizing in the future, as I have said before, maybe a line or two explaining what the ‘post topic du jour’ is will enable others to contribute without spending all their available time searching through the thread for explanations. =)
Um, thanks, Nike. I think we shouldn’t have to resort to ‘formatting schemes’ to have our posts read, but whatever works. I get the feeling it may be all for naught, anyway. The other threads are like ghost-towns. I will leave it in your more capable hands. =)
I somewhat disagree. There have been posts in the cdi that were a bit obnoxious with overly large bolded font that was formatted more than the usual post. Whether or not these are attempts to illicit developer response, i dont know. Obnoxious regardless.
I’m not sure I understand. You disagree that we shouldn’t have to resort to ‘formatting schemes’ to have our posts read? I would think every post that is polite should be read (but not necessarily responded to – that would be silly). If only certain ‘eye-catching’ posts are read by the Devs, what exactly is the purpose of these CDI threads? Just a place for the favored few to ‘represent’ us? Sounds like the ‘rep’ idea without a vote, even.
Twice, if not more often, it has been brought to attention that it seemed certain posts (posters) were granted more attention. I hope it just appeared that way, so everyone can be heard. I would not have thought, previously, my beloved ArenaNet would do otherwise.

I would not go the ‘deposit in Guild Bank’ route, as that is how I got ‘permanently banned for gold-selling’. Or, if you do deposit it, don’t deposit it all at once, but varying amounts over a period of time.
But, it is, of course, your choice.
You are most welcome, Causic. =)
He can update his ticket. All he has to do is reply to the email he receives at his new email address. It is not necessary to log in to correspond with Customer Support. =)
Collaborative Development Initiative, I believe.
I, too, am against player representatives. It is hard enough to be heard just on the forums. Why would a player have any more ability to read threads than a Dev? And how can they be unbiased? Every player, Every Player will want their own preferences considered most. I feel there would be even less chance to be heard if there were player reps. I prefer, if I am to be unheard, to be so without the middle man.
No to duels in the open world. But, I understand you can duel in the new area in WvW by the jumping puzzle. Go for it!
‘For the most part I think they’ve just run their course. That’s ok. In my opinion they reach a point where their own length crushes them.’
Run their course? There are only 33 posts in the PvP thread last time I looked. It’s even dropped down to the 3rd page. Not many more in WvW, 75. Maybe no one is interested in WvW or PvP, I don’t really know. Mostly they are grumbling about a lack of interest on the Devs’ part, I guess.
Um, thanks, Nike. I think we shouldn’t have to resort to ‘formatting schemes’ to have our posts read, but whatever works. I get the feeling it may be all for naught, anyway. The other threads are like ghost-towns. I will leave it in your more capable hands. =)
I’m not sure posting links to the summary would be as helpful as, perhaps, summarizing what the ideas you, as Devs, were interested in. I, and probably some other people, don’t have the will to read or re-read that very long thread to find out what those ideas you and the community gave names to are. Just a couple of sentences that explained what those enormously-long posts were about where some people gave you ideas you may, or may not, implement in some fashion. The rest of it, as I said, was about suggestions you said you were already implementing in the game, in one fashion or another, so there is little to discuss about them.
I think this thread is about suggestions to further advance the techniques of Dev/player interaction, and ways to improve the CDI thread, so I think this would be helpful. Maybe you read some of my previous suggestions…maybe not. If we can’t keep up, then some of us may lose interest.
Happy Thanksgiving, if you celebrate it…and Happy Day Off, if you don’t. =)
