After taking a few months break, I logged onto GW2 again. I noticed for one, that my grinning shield was gone. I had put the skin on a normal shield to use in combat before I had taken the break. For much of the LS content, characters are up-leveled. Nothing keeps you from trying the content, and deciding, yourself, if you are willing or able to play it. Playing in groups is advantageous for lower-levels, as well. Good luck.

Except for the occasional blog, where do the wiki contributors get their lore? I was under the impression most information for the wiki came from in-game. I am curious where most of it comes from.

I have leveled up twice and completed two skill point challenges in Timberland Falls.

I now have 15 skill points, but I haven’t spent any skill points today.

When I log in on my main character my UI shows 15 skill points, on others it shows 16.

I should have 20.

As far as I know, skill points are not account-wide. Each character earns their own skill points.

I bought a full set of infinite gathering tools once with my guardian – as the second set came out I bought the sickle and the pickaxe for my ranger too (the axe wasn’t out that time).

Now that they are account bound I read that you’ll take back those tools we bought “too much” and give us back the diamonds – yet no one has taken care of that in my case, because no one seemed to have read my ticket at all. oO

What do I need to do, to get what you said I’d get? The tools on my ranger are still soulbound, so you can see I’ve done nothing with them after the possibility of account binding came up.

Support only refunds gems on duplicates of the exact same item. If you bought some tools from the first set, then some tools from the second set, there is no refund. There is a thread in Account Issues about tools.

As long as you deny the authentication, they don’t get in. You might change your password, as others have it. To be safe, you can change the password to your email account, as well. Good luck.

Hello, I have heard of certain people getting certain soulbound items such as weapons or armor transferred between characters on a case to case basis. That being with plans to delete the original character, and having the new character the same class with plans to substitute it for the original. I am sort of planning to delete my asura thief, although it has most of my most expensive and hardest earned items. I would love to have these items on a new thief, would this be possible? And what items can and cannot be done?

I seem to remember the Ranger in GW1. As well as the Elementalist, Necromancer, and Warrior, as well as the Mesmer. The Thief is much like the Assassin.

So, I guess that is what happened to many of the game’s original professions. They migrated to GW2. =)

The fact that GW1 is so difference does not really mean the model would not work. Look at the many non-mmo games that also do require longtime server support. They work also with such a model. If GW2 would be really one big open world (What it isn’t, but I still hope it will become) it would for sure give some extra challenges but nothing that isn’t solvable.

Still it does not take away that the current model does effect the game and sadly not only in a good way.

I’m not sure accusing ArenaNet of ‘being different for the sake of being different’ is very valid, especially when ArenaNet has stated the reasons they implement the various game elements as they do….and none of said reasons were: Just because we want to be different, and we don’t care if it’s good for the game, or not.

But, everyone can come up with their own theories about stuff….no matter how unlikely they might be. =)

Bandits bombing? Centaurs slaying? Ettins eating? Griffons growling? Giants jumping? Harpies howling? Pirates pillaging? Raptors ravaging? Spiders spinning? Jotun jeering?

These are two separate bugs. The bundle one causes skills to stop working, but another bug stops skills from working just randomly, it seems. No bundles or zergs or noticeable lag involved.

Alright Im officially confused. I cant get a hold of anyone from support. Going on four days now, and I know theres no way they are THAT backed up that they cant get back to me. So I was on my main (thief) when I got it and I used it on a medium helm so I could wear on my thief for a little while, but my main plan was to put it on one of my scholar professions by transmuting it. I now realized that as soon as I used it on my thief it turned it into a medium helm and now I can’t transmute it to one of my scholar professions. Some armors explicitly state that shoulders will not be visible when equipping that piece. I’m not sure about Charr, as I’m not sure I’ve ever looked at it.

I’m sure people trade off working on holidays. Some essential services must be manned 24/7/365. I’m not sure one group within the company should work holidays, while other groups do not. It’s just a part of some jobs.

It’s an anomaly that happens all over Tyria. You can read some of the other threads about it, here and there.

I know you don’t like crafting, but do enjoy gathering. Just gather the wood and ore to make those Masterwork Plated Dowels. You only need be a Novice (0 – 50) to craft them. A few clicks of the mouse.

Even though ArenaNet has explained why they chose their design decisions, stubbornness can raise its head and prevent listening from happening. This can be unfortunate.

Some people want certain things in-game (such as mounts, dueling, trinity, etc.), some people do not want those things. I am sure design decisions are discussed in-house quite frequently, but with more information than players might have at hand.

I do hope they fix the ‘never-ending Battle music’ bug. It can become quite annoying after awhile.

Would said crafting mats happen to be in an invisible bag/box, etc.? That would prevent them from showing up for sale.
