I have received the automatic email any user its supposed to get after making a request ticket saying:
Thanks for contacting us! Your request (XXXXXX:XXXXXX) has been received, and is being reviewed by our Support team.
We’ll contact you as soon as we have an answer for you.
To add information to your request, simply reply to this email. If you no longer need assistance, just reply with “I no longer need help” in the body of your email.
So, everything on my providers side it is working just fine. Also, after ShiningSquirrel’s input, I have (As I always do before open a ticket or ask about anything in any forum) try to look for any kind of information where is said that I will be getting contacted within 72h without success.
Anyhow I will follow the given protocol and wait those 72h before bump again this post.

ya I did all that, I can log into my account fine but when I go to put a ticket in it wont let me log in. says password is wrong, funny that it works when I log into my account.
You need not log-in to submit a request to Customer Support. Just fill out the information requested at this page: https://guildwars2.zendesk.com/anonymous_requests/new

I think he’s asking more if gems bought with gold (correct?) count towards the total? The gem cards bought definitely count, but do the other gems have to be bought with real currency, or do the gems ‘bought’ with ingame gold count?
Gems exchanged for gold did not count in any previous promotions, and are not likely to count towards this promotion’s requirements, either.
Funny, there is a plethora of posts complaining about ArenaNet listening to their playerbase, and acting accordingly. What’s a company to do?
That’s actually quite simple. Every company needs to listen to their customers. They are your customers and without them you will have no company. Does that mean you do everything every customer suggests? No. You evaluate all feedback, consider the products DNA (read manifesto here—the reason the product exists), and make the decision that produces the highest value while not violating the products DNA. Every customer-facing software company knows this and does it. (In fact, internal groups within a company do this as well.) But, a company either does it well or poorly. When you have a lot of customer questions, as in this OP, it means you are not doing it well. And, the end result of the process is the responsibility of the company, not the customer.

I always think that if real life obligations or desires are more important than playing a game or having time for achievements, then real life obligations are more important than any reward one might receive from said game or achievements. Can’t really have it both ways, in my opinion, anyway.
For me, there were no bundles involved. Though, some times I might have been gathering. Other times, no.
And I’ve only had it outside WvW. Strange bug, indeed.
You should read the threads in WvW about 2 servers ‘collaborating’, if you think that would be a good idea. Lol.
I am not sure anyone answers mail except those sent to support or maybe the forum address. I’ve never heard of anyone using that address, so you might try CS, if you truly want an answer.
^ For you, maybe. I feel no ‘need’ to acquire Ascended Gear. I have a plethora of laurels, but few pink items. I don’t find a real ‘need’ to upgrade my gear. I am happy, and viable, as is. This is not to say I won’t accept an Ascended drop, should one come my way, or should, some time in the future, have gathered enough materials to craft one…..but, it’s not something I am concerned about.
You can find an old thread on this in the Forum and Website Bugs sub-forum. It happens to many of us. There is a Dev response, as well.
Magic find never affected chests, to my knowledge. Only loot drops from mobs.
It’s a weird bug several people have experienced, including me, that occurs all over the game, not just in WvW. Re-logging, or a map change, character change, etc. seems to alleviate the problem for most, if not all.
A pity for you, a bonus or me. =)
I just bought the new 3 pack minis.
First disappointment, i was expecting a dolyak calf, u know the one that has the biggest picture on the gem shop. I didn’t get it. Had i known this was RNG based i wouldn’t have spent my gems on it. Don’t get me wrong, I love the 3 minis i got, the arctic fox, the fawn and the puppy….all cute, but i thought i would get the doylak. I didn’t get what i was expecting.
2nd disappointment (and i hope this is a bug that will get fixed asap) is that the new minis vanish when u go underwater. One of the few redeeming things i enjoy about minis is that they swim with me, as i spend fair amount of time underwater. if this is a bug plz fix it, if this is intended plz state that on this thread, so i know what is going on and if it is intended then i will be requesting a refund.

There is a thread, with a Dev response, somewhere on the forums (darn Search feature!) that addressed minis that do not swim. You could try looking through the Game Bug sub-forum, or maybe it was in BLTC. I am afraid I just don’t remember. But, right now, some minis swim, and some do not. You could ask CS, as well, if you’ve a mind to.

Some people have troubles with certain non-PC browsers, so you might try a different browser, and only from a PC.
Yes, coming next year, some new skills, new traits, new weapons and old weapons for different classes. When exactly? Noone has an idea, not even ANet :P
As per Colin’s blog, they were going to start deploying these new skills in 2013. So far, we have a new healing skill(anti toxin) and it sounds like we may be getting more healing skills. Who cares about healing skills? They don’t drastically change gameplay. I havent switched out my healing skill on any character since Ive hit 80. We want more utilities, elites, and weapon skills.

1) it is a small pool to begin with so adding to it increases choice by a large %
2) it sees a lot of use
3) it heals you which is pretty important

Have you checked the cities? (I know DR had a new one added somewhat recently.) Gotten the Chantry of Secrets PoI? Looked at the list of all PoIs added since game release?
I noticed that, as well, though, since I’m not that familiar with the Mystic Forge there, I wasn’t absolutely sure they weren’t supposed to look like that.
I would guess the Black Friday sales have something to do with that. I hope things go well for everyone, ArenaNet included. =)

I’m afraid almost everyone else can use the page with no problem. Seems to be something on your end. Maybe try from a friend’s computer or a library or something. Hope you get it figured out.

There is a time limit before characters are recognized. I log into many of my JP Characters each day, but they never count.
I would not care for a cap on Daily Achievement tasks. I enjoy doing the ones I want to, for the points I get, and ignore the ones I don’t care for. Not sure why my play-style is any less valid. If doing too many tasks is causing distress, beside the fact that that would be against the ToS, don’t do them?

So as the title says, my brother’s GW2 account was hacked and we have only after 1 month just managed to log into it, we change the password of his GW2 account, changed his Gmail password as well as setting up two step verification , After this he is still trying to connect to the account but we keep pressing disconnect.
After Changing the password it works for about 5 minutes and is then changed again. How is this even possible also GW2 Mobile authentication is setup…

Same letter. Any letter about your account that you did not initiate is a phishing letter.
Update your ticket explaining the issue, and if it is not resolved within 3 days, post your ticket number in the Sticky in Account Issues for ‘Tickets 3 Days and Older’. The Support Liaison will look into it for you. Good luck.
As yet Anet has not implemented any rewards for people who got their HOM points to 50. I understand some people will say that this was not compulsory however Anet has never indicated that there will be no rewards after 31 points added to this HOM points is maxed at 50, why is this so?
I feel the time spent grinding these points were wasted in GW1 which I am supposed to be rewarded in GW2.
ArenaNet actually did say there would be no item rewards after 30 points:

My thought is: If you find the content less than to your liking, refrain from doing it. I have skipped some LS Metas because they weren’t my cup of tea (such as the current one). I don’t begrudge others who do like it. I am not sure having less things to do during a patch is the best plan, but that’s just me. =)
In the past, freebies for spending gems only applied to those gems bought with cash. I suspect the same with this promotion.
I don’t think they will ever give an advance notice that says: Don’t buy gems until we give you freebies for doing so.
It just doesn’t seem plausible, to me.

Well, Devs have posted in the past that they don’t use polls/surveys because the information is skewed, but perhaps they will change their minds.

I haven’t looked at the AP Leaderboards since they were first released. I’m not sure how prestigious having your name on there is, when many people have no idea who that is, nor will likely encounter them.
Especially, when said place on the Leaderboard comes with such distress and lack of enjoyment. Why voluntarily do something you find distasteful? I will never understand. =(
It’s not just you I have sent 3 gold seller reports within the last hour and 2 of them were whispers to me. Also everyone else in my guild have also received whispers even when they are in WvW which makes me wonder if that’s why all the maps are in queue cause its full of gold sellers.
People don’t have to be in the same map to whisper to one another, or even the same world/server. All that is needed to whisper to anyone in-game is their character or display name.
Just report and block anyone that whispers you with unwanted messages, and they will be dealt with accordingly.
Well, to be fair, the same information was posted in a thread in Account Issues, but that thread has fallen off the front pages now.
What kind of friend would steal an account they purchased themselves in the first place? Lol, sounds rather far-fetched to me. It’s a perfectly safe way to give the gift of GW2. And, this method has been endorsed by staff, themselves.
Not really many options save waiting until the cool-down expires.

It takes a lot more than a serial code to establish ownership of an account with Customer Support.

As a quick aside. Gems in the currency exchange are finite. You may buy gems with real money to your hearts content, but if you don’t put any of them gems into the currency exchange the currency exchange’s stock of gems never changes.
