I’m wanting to do the same, but my “delete” option is grayed out, and won’t allow me to do so.

Any ideas as to why?

Did you very carefully type in your character’s name? A misspelling will keep the delete button greyed out.

login problems

Not sure what to do, I have a second account, when I attemp to login it, it says authenticate through email required. I go to my email there is nothing in any box.
So I try to login on that account to the forums it is saying same thing, authentication require. It tells me to check my email for link. Again, nothing in my email. I cannot login into that account on the forums to submit a ticket.

Please note, I have never followed any phishing email of any kind. Not sure how to submit a ticket for that account since I cannot login to forums on that account to submit.
Any advice would be helpful.

okay this is very annoying, i bought the game yesterday and created an account. I have not be able to log into the game client at all. Says i have invalid password or username. I did send in a ticket and got a reply about an hour later that gave me a link to reset my password i did that. And still i can not get into the game client, I am able to log into the website but i just want to play the game

Make sure you are using the email associated with your game account to log in. Using your display name (s******bible.xxxx) will cause an error.

It has been said that Living Story is vapid, and without depth. No real story to follow and not worth doing the content. It has also been said, that one can not take a break from GW2 because you will miss the ‘temporary’ content and be left behind.

Poor ArenaNet, what are they to do? It must be very confusing trying to decipher what it is the playerbase really wants.

How could they possibly ‘restore’ a Guild bank? The bank is connected to everyone that uses it. They would have to restore everyone’s account that was in the Guild. Some people might not want to have their account ‘rolled back’ and be restored to a previous time. Creating gold or other items out of thin air would probably cause a nightmare for the economy, as anyone and everyone might ask to have items or gold ‘replaced’, even when it wasn’t warranted. The amount of time and resources that would be needed to investigate each and every account tied to a guild, or a request for replacement would probably be counter-productive, in regards to the health of the entire game.

This happens to me all the time, as well. Also, I will view a page for the first time, and some posts will already have the +1 box greyed-out. I’ve learned to just ignore the little red or grey boxes, as they seem to have a mind of their own. =(

Just so you know, items that are soul-bound (to your character) can not be used by any other character in the game. Thus, when crafting, make sure not to soul-bind items you want to sell. =)

Okay…if you read here and there in the forums, and in-game, several people say they have received the Heroic chest for no reason. I thought you were aware of it. It’s been going on since the new edition released.

Correct. His wallet will move with him, as well as his bank. Only soul-bound items are non-transferable when deleting all characters to facilitate a free server transfer. Just put everything in the bank, and pick it up with the new characters.

I get one on every new character I create, as well as occasionally from a random drop. That darn Scarlet! Lol.

When I was accused of being a gold-seller, each time I appealed the decision, the email I received stated that they were absolutely sure and confident in their accusation and the decision was final. It took 4 appeals (of sending the same information and explaining how I got the gold in question) before they sent a letter saying, ‘Oops, my bad’. I really believe the text in those letters should be examined, as they once said they would do. It’s very discouraging to be told there is no hope, and I am sure many give up.

You can upgrade your account to Digital Deluxe for 25 dollars. Buying the Heroic Edition DDE for 40 dollars gets you a whole new account. You need to contact CS and speak to them about your issue.

Sounds like a bug. I am assuming you scrolled through all the choices available. And that you haven’t chosen it before. (Skins are only available once per day.) You can report this in the Game Bug sub-forum, if needed. =)

You are correct. Only thing that isn’t in the Heroic DDE is the Hero’s Band. And that was a pre-purchase exclusive. It is nice that they upgraded the Golem, even those purchased way back when. =)

That information isn’t released, for the security of the community. The new account will be able to send/receive items of value in increasing amounts as time goes by.

Some items found in the previous (original edition) of the game were removed, some items were changed, and some items were added. It’s a different (new) edition of the game. There may (or may not) be other editions in the future.

I have the same problem i can login to my account ,
but the launcher doesnt accept my password. Weird…

Make sure you are using the email address associated with your account to log into the game, as using your display name (angvl.xxxx) will cause an error. Also, if your password is saved for logging into the forums, you can check it using your browser tools (and copy/paste it), just to make sure you are typing the correct one for game log-in.

You can only guest to the region your home world is in…either EU or NA, not both. There is no cross-region guesting at this time.

This bug has been around since launch, unfortunately. The really weird thing is, now, after a year, I get the sound even when I am not playing GW2. Randomly, in other applications. Never had it before playing GW2, and many, many others experience it, as well. It happens even with all sound turned off in GW2. I hope someday (soon) they figure out what causes it and find a ‘fix’ for it. It would be lovely to be able to play with a headset on, but this ‘sound’ makes using earphones very unpleasant.

Before you transfer, put your items in the bank. You can put all non-soulbound items in your bank, and they will transfer with you to the new server. Anything accountbound will travel with you. Welcome to Tyria, and good luck on your new server. =)

Cannot submit report

OK i don’t think anyone one except for the admins can help me on this one.. I was gonna just submit a report to the support section as I got charged twice on um credit card for only one purchase of the game

But when i chose the ‘unrecognized / fraud charges’ section and fill in all the info with the * next to it then submit, it ask for ‘’Game Account’ field required; please fill in.’ when this section is no where to be found!!!

HELP PLEASE I AM POOR AND NEED MY MONEY BACK LOL!

You can use the Billing category to submit your ticket. If that category still asks for ‘Game Account’, you can send an email to support@guildwars2.com and they will respond to you at the email address provided. Good luck. =)

I recently read a Dev post that said they do not disclose the population cap, even for WvW maps, so they probably do not disclose the cap for Open World maps, either. It must be a few hundred, at least, because you can see that many in LA, at times.

Some times I get white boxes/bags from Champs in Wayfarer, and some times I get level-appropriate-to-my-character boxes/bags from Champs there. Just a roll of the dice. I think it’s WAI.

of contacting your company seems to be quite is broken (see

I am not 100% sure, but I don’t think you can log into the game during the initial download. Pretty sure I have read about that on the forums before. You might wait until it has finished the initial complete download, and then try logging in.

I dont even know how to fully explain how bad I messed up. I bought my boyfriend a GW2 account just now because of the sale and I guess somewhere along the line I fugged either his email address or his password and I can not figure out how to sign into ANYTHING. I have no idea how to check how I typed the password and I think I sent the final email saying hurray you did it to an email that doesnt even exsist…. I am freaking out and I sent in a report to GW and I guess they call you but how long does it usually take for them to call you??

They don’t call you. You will receive an acknowledgement email shortly, and then, once you respond to that, they will send emails and help you with your issue. Though, they will only interact with the owner of the account. If you used your friend’s email address to activate the account, then he will need to create a ticket and correspond with Customer Support.

If neither of you have heard anything after 3 days, you can post your ticket number in the sticky for Tickets 3 Days and Older. Good luck.

Is your rank in SPvP account-bound or character-bound? If character-bound, I would suspect you would lose it. If account-bound, I would suspect you would not.

If your friend can post in the sticky, then he can post on the forums, which means his password is saved in his browser. He can then use his browser’s tools to discover his GW2 account password.

If he can’t post on the forum, then waiting for CS to respond is the only option.

If ArenaNet banned people for using voice chat, it would be very odd that they have a setting in options for that very thing…VOIP.

Of course we can use voice chat, the Devs use it often when playing.

Not sure I understand. You say it takes you a long time to farm the materials in WoW, and that’s ok. But if it takes a long time to farm the materials in GW2, it’s not ok? That’s confusing to me.

Doesn’t affect the bags/boxes Champs drop, doesn’t affect the Mystic Forge, no Magic Find essences from white items, ever….

I have no idea if Magic Find helps or not, but it certainly has no effect on the above mentioned items.

@Rune….If you open up the Trading Post/Gem Store, you will find many things for sale, including character slots, bank expansion slots, personal inventory expansion slots, upgrades for your account, etc. Browse through it some time, you might be amazed at what’s on offer! =)
