Yes, that is true, Navi, all items do not show up on the side of the screen, or disappear too fast to see, when you receive many at a time. But, they do end up in your inventory. Good point. =)

Maybe I am odd, or something, but I have used my Fine Transmutation stones to put the skin of one level 80 armor onto another level 80 item. In fact, that is the only time I use them. When I get a drop of some level 80 armor or weapon, that I like the looks of, but the armor or weapon that I already have has stats that I like better, I transmute. I never use it the way that you do, which is perfectly fine, but not the only use for the stones. Plus, I have never bought any, and I still have ~30 left.

Well, the wiki is comprised of information obtained from players, just like you and me (I occasionally update the Wiki), so perhaps whoever posted that information made a mistake. It happens, sometimes. =)

Or, maybe your level has something to do with it, I am not sure. But you are welcome to add your information to the wiki, as either a bug, you believe, or updated information.

If you are referring to the Secret Contact achievements, the devs had this to say:

‘Fixed the remainder of Flame and Frost interactive gadgets not appearing on the affected worlds. The locations for the Secret Contact achievement will remain accessible until the May 14th build to make up for the time lost due to this issue.’

If you are referring to the other Flame and Frost content, except for the Finale, it is over.

ArenaNet did tell you beforehand that there was only going to be some dialogue, etc. at the final event. And you do receive an hour-long boon, as well. Not sure what you were expecting from the information they gave us.

‘The Flame and Frost epilogue will be active from Sunday, May 12 at 12:00pm Pacific until the release of the Secret of Southsun on Tuesday May 14. The epilogue will mostly consist of conversations and story elements; there are no exclusive rewards to be given at this time.’

Not too long ago, ArenaNet raised the server limit on servers to accommodate all the new users. It is a positive statement on the game’s growth to see that the servers are, once again, becoming full.

You can, of course, use in-game gold for your transfer, and by doing so, ArenaNet makes not a penny. Or, you can delete your characters and transfer for free, as well, though that is not a pleasant option for some. I hope you and your brother find a solution that is acceptable for you both. =)

There are a lot of things that make the game casual friendly. Most game push players into doing dungeons. There’s one single epic quest line in Rift and it ends in a raid. That, to me, is not casual. I guess it’s sort of the same in the personal story in Guild Wars 1 ending in a dungeon, but even worse.

Most of the people who like challenging content find there isn’t enough of it in Guild Wars 2. Most of the game can be played by a single player without grouping, and that indeed makes it casual.

Actually that’s not entirely true there are many things you are leaving out like the farming of T6 materials which is the sole way of making any kind of meaningful money in this game. They are forcing people to play dungeons or WvW in order to make any money. The only other method is to buy gems and convert them.

And saying “most” is your opinion that the thousands (i suspect due to the pre-guesting patch emptyness of the servers) who left in November wouldn’t agree with, because of their new dungeon only focus.

I did do the experimental living world, and was highly disappointed that it’s still yet to be the focus on the open world they promised they would have prelaunch.

Also, Rift didn’t force people into dungeons, they had solo dungeons and the lotteries gave plenty of currency that was needed to buy the gear one needed so your argument about that game is nul.

My statement stands.

Customer Service does not automatically do Account Restorations. You must request that, as there is a policy of one per account lifetime. It looks, though, as you have done just that, and requested the service. Best of luck to you, and welcome back! =)

A Question About Worlds

You can also guest to any server in your region for free, at any time. You can not, however, take part in WvW; all other aspects of the game are offered to guests. There is a limit of two servers per 24-hour period, but you can guest as many times as you like. You can also earn gold in-game and pay for your transfer by exchanging that gold for gems. The free server transfer option was only in place while guesting was being made viable. Before the game ever launched, it was announced that server transfers would require a fee. I am sorry you were not aware of the policies before purchasing. I do hope you have fun adventuring in Tyria, though. Welcome. =)

Edit: Do be aware that there is a 7-day cooldown between server transfers, fee or free.

Gee, I don’t do dungeons much (lol, I have two story modes done, and two explorer modes), I don’t do WvW and I don’t farm T6 materials. I am not even sure which ones are T6. And I make money – halfway to Golden, not that that is a LOT of money. I don’t understand why so many people make statements like ‘everyone must do X, or ArenaNet is forcing everyone to do X’, etc. It sure doesn’t apply to me, or those in my guild or my friends.

So, although your statement stands, it is not entirely true.

When I first stepped foot in Gendarren Fields, (I think it was back in Beta), I had real troubles there. Your level and your gear make a huge difference in how you experience the zones. You may just need to level up a bit more, or get gear that is more appropriate.
You can get some great gear from doing the World Bosses in the starter zones, or sell the rares to get some gear that would be helpful to you. Also, don’t be afraid to shout out in map chat that you are seeking help. There is almost always someone around that would help you. What server are you on? =)

I don’t think anyone suggested you ‘just transfer’, and a person really doesn’t need to ‘know’ someone to shout out in map chat, ‘hey, I need some help with this skill point/waypoint/whatever’. The suggestion is to guest on a server with a higher population, so that when you DO shout out, there are more people to come to your aid.

I, personally, have not found it too difficult to clear zones, but that is just me. I hope you find a solution that satisfies you. Best of luck. =)

Nor would you lose any progress, even if you did transfer servers. But, as mentioned above guesting is free; you are allowed to guest to two servers per 24 hours, as many times as you like.

My question is: Which zone is OP referring to? Or is it the game in general?

ArenaNet will never contact you about your account, unless you have contacted them first. Never click on links in emails, without first ascertaining where it is they actually lead. Please remove those links from your post, to prevent others from visiting potentially harmful sites. It really doesn’t matter which category you use. Those responsible for checking logs will do so, regardless of what it is called. If you feel the in-game reporting system is not satisfactory for your needs, you can always contact Customer Support and explain exactly what you feel the issue is. This also allows you to attach screenshots and/or videos documenting said behavior.

Sadly, all you can do is report those who are harrassing you, and submit proof. I am sorry to hear about your experience. You can always save up gold and exchange them for gems to facilitate a transfer. Also, maybe not tell everyone you are related to your relative, and thus avoid the stigma. Good luck. =)

Legendary items

Well, I think many people are aware that Legendary weapons will move their stats up to Ascended tier, when they are released, as ArenaNet has been talking about that for awhile. And I think people have been, for the most part, disappointed with the drop rates of precursors for some time, and are looking forward to the alleged ‘Scavenger Hunt’. I am a bit confused about the statement concerning drop rates and purchasing a Legendary off the TP. I am not sure a more assured drop rate causes less effort to obtain a Legendary. Those that buy items off the TP with cash converted to gold will probably still do so.

I don’t consider myself Hardcore. At all. I do, however, log in every day and fulfill the goals I have set for myself. I have no BiS gear, I am not trying to get a Legendary, I rarely do dungeons, rarely set foot in Fractals or WvW, I don’t min/max. I do have quite a few hours logged, thus far, and a moderate amount of Achievement points (90%).

I would guess that many people have different definitions of Hardcore and Casual, as my definitions do not seem to match yours. Not sure it matters, in the least, though. =)
