I think you need to speak to Technical Support. I have read about this bug before.
I am sure Support can help you. Good luck. =)
There is a big difference between Guild Wars 2 Anniversary, and Guild Wars 2 birthday. Not everyone will celebrate their character’s birthday during Anniversary. So, we are talking two different things, here. Though there may be an Anniversary event and/or a Gem Store sale or something, it will have nothing to do with our birthdays.
As far as Anniversary goes, it seems back items have replaced celebration hats, so…
As to the birthdays? Maybe mini-pets, maybe something new to collect, which would be nice. =)
In the past, people often had to wait out the seven days before transferring again. You can create a ticket and speak to Customer Support, and find out about your own case.

There is no way to change your display name at this time. To change the email address associated with your game account, you can contact Customer Support.

I think Guild Wars 2 does tell you your story in Guild Wars 2. And, if you are interested, you can find out a lot about the story told in Guild Wars in Guild Wars 2. Not sure Guild Wars’ story should be prominent in Guild Wars 2, as it has its own story to tell.
I find that whenever I follow a link to a picture, I can not use the back button, other than to the original thread. It is a bit irritating, but one becomes used to it, I guess.
According to the discussion page in the wiki, it is a bug and being looked at.
Please allow Customer Support time to respond to your tickets. If you have had no response after 72 hours, post your ticket numbers in the sticky (3 Days and Older) thread, and the Support Liaison will look into your requests. Best of luck to you. =)
Definitely sofa king… When you have the opportunity to rename your character, once again, be sure to choose an appropriate name. The next suspension may not be so short. Good luck.

Without more information, I am not sure anyone could tell you. You lost one badge of honor? Did you check your bank? other characters? invisible bags?
If this is not the first time you have been asked to rename your character, then the account usually must serve a 72-hour suspension. Again, you can contact Customer Support and discuss it with them.
Probably nothing. If you continue to have issues with changing your password, you can contact Customer Support, and they will assist you.

‘Ask a Question’
There are a few threads here about this problem you can read, and maybe find a solution. Good luck. =)
Have you any other characters? Have you tried to log back in to see which character needs a name change?
You can contact Customer Support and ask about this issue.

This issue is something Technical Support can help you with.
Best of luck to you. =)
Absolutely. I have been remiss in not clarifying that IP address verification emails are sent without having contacted Customer Support. There have been so many phishing emails lately, sometimes we forget that some emails are legitimate. We must all pay attention when it comes to security, especially me. =)
You are absolutely correct. This is what happens when one reads forums when not exactly awake. My apologies to the OP, and anyone else that read it. I will strive to take more care in the future.
You must be more fortunate than I. The site asks me to register, as a first-time user.

The second two images of are of phishing emails sent to you trying to gain unauthorized access to your account. Hopefully, you did not click on the links. As to the other email, you can post your ticket number in the sticky for ‘3 Day and Older’ tickets and the Liaison may look into your case. Good luck. =)
It has merely been postponed for further testing, I believe.
I am not sure which article the OP is referencing, as I have no desire to sign up for that blog site. I did find this article: http://news.mmosite.com/content/2013-05-22/permanent_price_drop_announced_for_guild_wars_2.kittenml that seems to have that quote. The quote in question is made by the article’s author, and no where does the article state that anyone from ArenaNet said that yesterday, or recently.
edit: ack, darn filter…. just place s (get around filter) html at the end

[Q] Deleted a character with a lot of gold
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Inculpatus cedo.9234
If you have already gotten a response from Customer Support saying they are unable to replace your gold, then there is little else you can do. It is not their policy to replace items lost through user-error at this time. Sorry for your loss.
If forum posts are anything to go by, few ever receive a reply.

You can contact Customer Support by opening a ticket. Perhaps, they will assist you in retrieving your gold, though losses through user-error are not often replaced. Best of luck to you.

Your friend needs to open a ticket with Customer Support, and they will assist her. ArenaNet often closes down an account when they suspect it has been/is being compromised.

Your server of choice may not drop from Full until ArenaNet increases the server population cap again. The game’s price was just recently lowered; this may (and hopefully will) cause a substantial increase in accounts, and server population caps may be increased again in the near future. Remember, you can always create an account elsewhere, and guest to Blackgate. =)
Any emails that address your account that are not responses to queries you sent into Customer Support are fake and phishing emails. ArenaNet will never contact you about your account unless they are responding to you. For extra security, you can always change the passwords to your account and the email associated with your game account. Welcome to Tyria! =)
They just released APIs and created a new sub-forum. That is about as close as we have gotten to the app.
The email you received was a phishing email. Hopefully, you did not click any links. If you did, change your email and game account passwords immediately. Remember, ArenaNet will never contact you first about your account, only in response to your queries.

That’s exactly what mine looks like on Firefox, as well as on Chrome.
edit: I had my pop-up windows blocked, once I turned that function off, the page displayed correctly. So, that seems to be the issue, at least for me.
edit2: I had to reload the page a couple of times after the ‘home’ page for the others to work. But, now it works just fine. =)

Only that they have no plans for releasing any, in the forseeable future.
Remember, guesting to a Full server has more likelihood that you will end up in overflow. Luckily, for us, ANet offers up this opportunity, instead of queues. =)

There are several threads in the Game Bugs forum addressing this issue. Perhaps, one (or more) of them has a solution for you. Best of luck. =)
I am afraid you can not change your name. Maybe, some day, there will be an option, but not in the forseeable future. Sorry about that. =)

Remember, in the future, to post ticket numbers in the sticky ‘3 Days and Older’ thread, if you have no response within 72 hours. Also, did your son ever update his ticket? I am sure the Support Liaison will respond shortly. Good luck. =)
edit: Oops, too late. =)
You can always report the incident. ArenaNet has logs of what you do, and who you speak to, even if you don’t have the names. If this is a common practice of these individuals, there may be consequences.
Sadly, flushing dns does nothing.
I am using Windows 7 and Firefox, and my HoM Calculator is all out of whack. It used to work, but probably the last time I looked at it when it did work was before I bought a new computer, so back then I was using Firefox and Vista. I know this has been an issue for some time, because I read a thread (possibly this one) some time ago, and checked the HoM Calculator, and it didn’t work back then.
edit: Just tried it using Chrome, same issues.

Yes, you can still earn HoM rewards in GW1. =)
There are several guides to doing so, some nice ones in the wiki.
Per the wiki:
Unlocking
The Guild Bounties Unlock upgrade requires Art of War level 5 that costs 20,000 Influence and 1 week build time, and the Bounty Unlock costs 30,000 Influence and takes 72 hours of research. It takes an additional 200 Influence and 12 hours of research to build the consumable to research any tier of a Guild Bounty Mission; you can stock up several in advance.
Guild Bounty Training
Guild Bounty training is a guild activity similar to Guild Bounty with the following exceptions
There is only one target.
There are no special member rewards.
It costs 300 Influence and 72 hours of build time.
The guild earns 3,000 Influence and no merits.

As you wish. =)
I think there was already a thread on this, if not a few. Probably could find it with search. =)
I’m not sure if it would be or would not be, never been there that I know of, though maybe I just don’t recognize it. =P
If ‘they’ are ArenaNet, I don’t think they wonder, I think they say: working as intended. =)
If ‘they’ are someone else, I have no idea who ‘they’ could be. We don’t hear complaints about guesting and overflows, anymore.
Although I have yet to guest, I think that it is a wonderful opportunity to go to wherever something my own server does not provide (barring WvW, of course).
Maybe you should list it in Forum and Website Bugs, as well, in case they don’t yet know. =)
Just +4, not percentage.
If your ticket has gone unanswered for more than 72 hours, you can post your ticket number in the sticky for ‘3 Days and Older’ tickets. Nothing can be done, really, without a ticket number. Good luck. =)
You have a few options. You can exchange gold for gems to fund your transfer, instead of buying them. Alternatively, you can delete your character(s) and place all non-soulbound items in the bank, and transfer servers for free. These may not be optimal, but there are options to paying $20. Best of luck to you. =)
Ahh, well, I have never had a support account. Thanks for the information. =)
