Island Shoulder Skins, Southsun Mask skin, 4 Southsun Weapon Skins
2012 Halloween had 6 weapons, not 3, plus 3 different Shoulder Skins

Were the Island Shoulder skins, Mask Skins and Weapons Skins drop from monsters or did the consortium chest only come from the Gem Store I cant remember?

For the 2012 Halloween Ones I didn’t include them because it required 2 boosters and 3 mystery tonic to make a mad king chest which I believe were the only way to acquire them? and the three weapons I was referring to were the Crossing, Mad moon, and whatever the Spider gift bow is called…

Also thank you for the assistance Wanze.

available in game (Gemstore not included).

I saw many Posts complaining about how all new weapons or armor that have been added to the game have been through the Gemstore, so here I will be compiling a list of all items in-game that are there now that weren’t available upon release. Please if you have corrections or additions let me know.

1) Legendaries (I don’t believe these were available immediately, think they became available in October)

2) Halloween items (1 new amulet, 3 new semi-legendary weapons, devil horns helm skin, Witches hat, Wizards hat, Deathly Shoulder skins, Grinning ghastly shield, Gourd Rifle, Chainsaw sword, and greasword, Severed dagger, and Scythe staff skin.)

3) Lost Shores (Fractal Weapons, and a new stat type with passiflora and settlers, 2 new back pieces, Consortium axe, focus, shield, sword and helm)

4) Wintersday (Toy and Candycane weaponry, and Ascended Armor)

5) Frost and Flame (Guild weapons for commendations, Savage backpack, elegant backpack, Fused Gauntlets, and Jetpack)

6) Super Adventure box (8-bit Weapons with a variety of color options, New back piece)

7) Dragon Bash (New helm, 2 new backpacks, and a whole new set of jade weapons, polla accessory)

8) Sky Pirates of Tyria (Monocle)

9) Bazzar of the Four Winds (Three new Helms, Five new Back pieces, Zenith Weapons, Radiant Armor, Hellfire Armor)

10) Clockwork Chaos (New twisted watchwork shoulder, Champion loot boxes and the various new weapon skins that came from them)

11) Tequatl Rising (New Backpiece, New Tequatl ascended weapons, New waterbreathers)

12) Twilight Assault (New Backpiece, and New weapon set)

13) The Nightmare Within (New Back piece, New Helm, and New Aquabreather)

14) The Origins of Madness (Wurm Helms Shoulders and Glove Ascended added, Annelid Rifle Skin)

15) Escape from Lion’s Arch (Several new back items 3 when fully upgraded, Scarlet’s rainbow, kiss, and veil)

16 Gates of Maguuma till now (3 new helm skins, Ambrite Weapons, Mawdrey backpieces, and the flames of Balthazar back piece)

I believe this is most of the items, with this we can see that many weapons have been added, but not very many new armor skins available in game have been added, especially new armor for these areas Chest, Leg, and Feet are very rare.

Infamous Darkness.3284

We can’t say that just because Norns are relatively anti-authoritarian and are focused on individual glory, they would fail at warfare.
You know who else was like them? Vikings. Can you honestly say that Vikings weren’t good at warfare with the ammount of land they conquered?

The thing is, Norns, just like Vikings would use this as their advantage. Not being a classic “army”, and not having set tactics would make them unpredictable in the battlefield. No one would be able to study their behavior in combat, because each battle would be different.

With that being said, Charrs would have the upper hand in the war, no matter what. Not only are they born soldiers, they also have the technology, physical prowess, numbers and discipline.

From the movement of the world document (lore)
“Although it is certain the Charr could have destroyed the Norn resistance if they but turned their entire army—or even one full legion—to the cause, warbands and smaller raiding parties could not overcome the individual strength of the Norn. These initial skirmishes taught both sides to respect the strength of the other.”
This basically says that the Norn as a species, that their total fighting force is weaker than 1/4 of the Charrs, on top of it since that time, the Charr area of influence/land has grown, while the norn have been pushed back and lost land meaning in current times I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that 1/2 of a legion’s fighting force could annihilate the Norn.

Infamous Darkness.3284

She’s terrified because in her immaturity and selfishness she ran off on her own in hostile territory without any thought to her own safety or the inconvenience chasing after her would cause important people with better things to do who now have to do the same.

She ran off because the people who promised to protector her, for some inexplicable reason, were suddenly siding with the people she needed to be protected from.

Seriously, people are dieing, Mordremoth is destroying forts and threatening the whole world. We just did a field trip through the desert – risking out lives – because Taimi doesn’t want to hand over her device?

So we try to convince her to turn the device over voluntarily. But we also make it clear that until she does, anyone who thinks they can take it by force will have to go through us first.

I’m sure the asura that created the waypoints, that maintain them every day, that construct them or find ways to make them more efficient, I’m sure they could have solved this problem.

You’d think they could. But none of them did, so either they couldn’t or they wouldn’t. So whether it is actually ability or just vision and will that allowed Taimi to do so, she has something no other Asura appears to have.

1) I don’t recall anyone in our group promising to protect her (possibly Braham, but I don’t remember him ever saying that), She may have been being taken advantage of but she wasn’t in physical danger until she put herself in that situation (running away alone in dangerous mostly uncharted wilderness, which has an army of dragon minons wandering through it, and regular sandstorms was a rash decision). She is taken on as a member of the group, not as extra baggage that we must defend…

2) I don’t know about this, she is Jory’s friend and she met Belinda, so she knew the effect of her actions, the deaths caused by mordremoth couldn’t be so impersonal to her. She may be very intelligent but her actions in this case seemed to show a lack of maturity (not for her age, but in comparison to her peers), and a bit of selfishness.

3) Since this device took her about 4 weeks(?) to get up and running, since anet has said that tyrian time moves at the same speed as our world. That is an pretty impressive feat to fix a major issue with the fastest means of transportation on the continent.

Charr vs Human vs Asura vs Norn

Infamous Darkness.3284

Holy Necro, lol but I’m glad to see this thread come back.

The charr definitely was a declining empire since pre Guild Wars 1 times, during guild wars 1, the charr species became more united and had some resurgence in power. All this being said in the current timeline the Charr are getting in a much better position, diminishing (destroying) the threat of the Ascalonian ghosts, giving up some land in the treaty with ebonhawk allowing them to consolidate more of their forces while having to deal with less of the dragonbrand shifting part of that burden on the ascalonian humans, Ogre kralls being destroyed by both Charr and Ebonhawk forces, and finally loss of flame legion leadership and assistance from the pact in removing the flame legion as a threat.

Another boon for the Charr has been their major innovations in technology throughout the time of Guild wars 2, they have created helicopters and submarines allowing them to be the first race with the ability to attack from land, sea, and air. This ability combined with the charr ability to make heavy cannons and having the best manufacturing of any race shows them possibly becoming a great empire again. (the heavy cannons could make ebonhawks mighty walls nearly antiquated, for more information on this idea see how the turks conquered Constantinople here ).

The charr still have some very major obstacles in their way though,
1) their inability to have lasting consolidated leadership/power.
2) Being carnivores and needing to eat meat that spoils quickly, they would need some means of quickly transporting meat to the front lines (much easier to do with vegetables, fruits, nuts, ect.).
3) Seem to as a race to be rather lacking in magical knowledge compared to other major races (excluding the flame legion).

Which class has the highest underwater DPS?

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Posted by: Infamous Darkness.3284

Infamous Darkness.3284

it used to be engineer by a mile, but the repeated nerfs to engineer’s underwater may put Mesmers ahead (assuming using spear against a wall). Engineer attack speed with grenade kit underwater was nerfed and then it received the far worse nerf of causing the thrown grenades underwater to spread out when thrown in a triangle shaped pattern (meaning one will usually miss, grenade barrage is even worse, in melee you will often miss 5 out of the 7 grenades the skill throws.) all this being said engineer’s speargun skill scatter mines is still ridiculously overpowered with a 420% power scaling on this skill…not to mention you can grab hair trigger and rifle mods traits to make it even better.

hmmm, I personally don’t find dungeons to be difficult. There are plenty of resources people have put out to help newer players to transition into dungeon runs, here are a few helpful resources, http://dulfy.net/category/gw2/class-guides-gw2/ (A well explained look through many professions each of their skills/skill types and how they can be used in different situations including traits, gear stats, and weapon choices.), http://gw2dps.david-reess.de/ (A dungeon DamagePerSecond calculator for coming up with maximum efficiency group combinations.), http://gw2dungeons.net/ (a carefully laid out walkthrough for every path of every dungeon), Ect. On the other hand if you are looking for a more hands on learning experience, hit me up in game, or the NooB guild I think, it seems to be a very helpful guild for helping people learn dungeons.

I liked this combination because it had an engineer and a ranger and still was pretty close to max DPS group
2 Elementalist, 1 Warrior, 1 Ranger, and 1 Engineer

But Guardian’s usefulness doesn’t lie in its DPS output

Yeah, but that wasn’t the point…the same could be said for Mesmer too btw. (I know the guardian has stability, protection, reflects, ect. which are all great, but its personal DPS is sadly quite lacking and that was the point.

anyways here is another random group comp 1 Warrior, 2 Thieves, 1 Ranger, and 1 Engineer By the way thanks for this resource

Speaking of engineer you recommend flame turret for the smoke field but that overcharge only works if your turret is hitting a target making it useless(basically) for stacking stealth. You are better off with bomb toolbelt, heal turret, shield#4, thumper toolbelt, elixir gun#4 used with smoke bomb. You can skip the heal turret so you can replace with med kit for a bit more swiftness. This way you can swap all 3 utilities while running to either toolkit for block, elixir s for more stealth etc. Just be careful or outright skip bomb toolbelt since the radius it has is problematic in certain scenarios.

Thank you, those are some good additions. but I wouldn’t suggest taking med kit because speedy kits will cover your swiftness (though it could be used freely between fights for the extra duration and a bit more forgiveness on speedy kits, as a little known bonus grenade kit is the only kit that you can drop bundle not stow and it has no recharge time not even the 1 second cooldown from stow bundle). I don’t think I recommended flame turret anywhere, but if I did yes this is the truth you don’t want that turret (unless you want to be really lazy at Shoggroth or something).

Alright sorry, I didn’t read any of these posts so sorry if I am repeating anything (or doing it wrong).

Engineer
1) Flamethrower – only time you should use this in a dungeon is its fire field you can use then switch back in another skill (the #4 skill napalm lasts much longer than the fire field from your bomb kit so it can be useful in prestacking might.)
2) Blast Finishers (without a wasted utility) – these are blast finishers either in kits or a toolbelt skill so you can use them and then switch to an actual useful skill without wasting a utility
—a)Big Ol’ Bomb – bomb kit toolbelt so you will probably keep the skill anyway beware it does have a 3 second delay on the blast finisher so probably the first blast you should lay down when pre stacking might (ect.)
—b)Acid Bomb – Elixir Gun skill, once used it shoots you backwards in the air use drop bundle to immediately cancel the jump to stay in place for more blasts
—c)Rumble – Thumper turret’s toolbelt – the thumper turret is good for a burst of might with its 3 blast finishers in one skill (overcharge, detonate, and rumble)
3) Blast Finishers (that use a slot)
—a)Supply Crate – your elite to use, long cooldown but comes with a blast finisher a bit of healing for the group and possibly a helpful turret (not all turrets are helpful) beware it takes a bit of time to cast and if interrupted most of the animation still goes off (but no cool down when interrupted)
—b)Throw Mine/Detonate (any turret)/Rocketboots, Don’t use rockeboots in dungeons. Throw Mine not horrible for dungeons but usually you have better options, but if your group is pulling a boss or mob to a specific area you can drop down the toolbelt skill with some nice extra damage and then switch back to another utility before the mob/boss arrives for some extra vulnerability and damage. Generally the only turrets you will want to detonate are the rifle turret, or the thumper turret (because of its other blasts).
—c) Shield can be good in dungeons where your other party members aren’t stacking might, but generally you’ll want to stick with rifle. (double clicking shield #4 is a blast finisher)
—d) Healing Turret, the heal you should almost always have, 1 creates a water field in both its overcharge and a very short one in its toolbelt skill. It has a blast finisher in its detonate (I love being able to use a heal offensively)
4) Reflects and blinds – (not including shield 4)
—a) Elixir U toolbelt, good as either a smoke wall or a reflect wall (the RNG sucks though). It has a bonus that it can still be used underwater though, so that’s a bonus.
—b) Smoke bomb, a good short blind field good for stealth or non-boss mobs with blinds. DONT YOU DARE TAKE THE TRAIT IN EXPLOSIVE FOR THIS.
5) Kit Refinement
—a) Can be nice in areas where you have to pull a few enemies (by switching to bomb kit while this trait is up it can pull 3 enemies to the location you dropped it at)
6) Consumables
—a) Usually sticking to Koi Cakes (for increased vulnerability duration is great) + Skale venom or the correct Powerful slaying potion is a good way to go.
7) Skills you generally want to rotate (not in any particular order for max damage in a boos fight) Rifle #3, and 5, Grenade #2, 4, and toolbelt, Bomb #1 if vulnerability stacking isn’t required, Pry bar if for some reason you have toolkit utility equipped (you shouldn’t), Elixir Bomb if you can cancel it quickly and boss is staying in one place, Analyze from utility goggles if for some reason you have those equipped (again you shouldn’t). If underwater use Scatter Mines as often as you can in your enemies face, it is Amazing.
8) General Dungeon Builds
6/6/0/0/2 (good for speed from speedy kits, or static discharge for extra damage)
6/6/0/2/0 (if you need more dodges this will help you with a bit of vigor)

9) Bonus (immature crap)
Special Engineer Finisher drop a glue bomb wait 2-3seconds, use Personal Battering Ram, Profit.

Could we please see some other enemies use this opportunity to attack. For example with the waypoints down and fort salma destroyed kessex hills lost its biggest defense against centaur invasions, and with the centaurs of the harathi, modniir, and tamini on the verge of extinction, shouldn’t they take this opportunity (battle of the bulge style) to try to take back their lost ground or completely eliminate their enemies by forcing them to fight a war against multiple foes on multiple fronts. (this could possibly also be applied to Flame legion, Bandits, ect.)

I feel like this would make it feel like more of a living world rather than each piece of the world being cut off from one another. Each episode only affects one specific area, and while that area may evolve the rest of the world stays the same.

No but
1) SUBJECT alpha was an inquest test subject within the crucible of eternity, which is now controlled by the pact. you don’t think the inquest took any notes during their extensive experimentation, or that the pact decided that a facility working to create a controllable dragon champion wasn’t worth looking through their archives. As second in command of the pact I’m sure you would be informed of any other potential new (main) dangers/targets to the army. Not to mention that at least both the priory and the OoW knew there were 6 dragons before the crucible of eternity (you can read that in my earlier reply).
2) Mordremoth may only be the name that the pact has give (or possibly the name used in inquest sources once the crucible came under completely pact control.) the jungle dragon after, kind of like how tequatl’s name comes from the hylek language not necessarily what its real name is but what it is known as by its enemies.
3) We also discovered Scarlett’s journal which details her going mad (in game we only read what a page worth of dialogue in a journal surely there was more information inside) and talking about how she is fighting an outside influence, I wouldn’t be surprised if the name was mentioned in there.
4) The Pale tree may have gained some of scarlett’s memories through the dream of dreams. (“Pale Tree holds the sylvari’s collected knowledge and emotion”)

So you’re saying that because our character is part of the Pact, we know every single thing in the world ?

NO I’m saying as the second in command of an organization that its only job is to destroy dragons would probably be among the first to know of a new one appearing, and by extension its name.

The thing is we never see this name (and don’t even bring combat logs in this…) and suddenly, our character utters this and everyone’s perfectly fine with it, like it’s a completely known fact.

Its not the fact of combat logs, it is that we captured an inquest facility studying how to create controllable dragon champions, it definitely wasn’t an accident that subject alpha was imbued with power from mordremoth, so you think amoung all their research they took no notes or named this particular variety of elder dragon energy/power which they imbued in their creation? Or you think this same facility specifically designed for making dragon champions the pact (an organization created to fight dragons and their minions/champions) would have not even enough interest in to look through their files…?

The problem isn’t “why does the PC know the real name ?” or “is this the real name ?” it’s “hey new dragon. Well I’m naming it Mordremoth and everyone’s instantly knows what I’m talking about”.

I already mentioned this with tequatl the dragons are named by us or taken as names they have been known as from the past that we already knew. Did you notice as we move through Orr most of Zhaitan’s minions only call it “the dragon” rather than Zhaitan, it is only as we get further into Orr that we see Zhaitian’s minions begin to refer to it as Zhaitan in front of us. I can only think of two situations where this happens, when taking the cathedral of eternal radiance, and when fighting the soverign eye of zhaitan in the artesian waters (both times being said by former humans in a way to weaken moral, through reuniting with a mentor, or feelings of abandonment/the gods being eaten)

Even if dragons have personal names, are you likely to ever know it. Did someone ever speak to Zhaitan to learn it? Does his undead know? Would they tell you if they did? Again, it’s much more likely Zhaitan was a name chosen by people rather than its personal name.

Yes his undead knows his name.
“Zhaitan will devour you, just as he devoured our gods.”

It is a nonhostile yellow moa bird that I found in the North Western area of the map running incredibly fast in circles. (kill was done with only 3 ppl things may change if more ppl enter the event.)

The Fight) To start the fight you have to stun him, doing this will make him stop running. Once he is stunned his event starts and you have 10 mins to kill him. Stay in fairly close to him to avoid one of his abilities that creates a ring around him. when you look on the event display and see a second orange bar charging up STUN HIM NOW, if you don’t he will regain all lost health and start running away at full speed. His melee attacks do hurt a bit so be careful with these.

The Loot) He dropped a special champ bag with his name on it (I didn’t get any unique rewards from it but it could contain new/unique skins or weapons.)

PvE build with only one kit and min. 1 turret

Infamous Darkness.3284

Hello,
I’ve already tried the Reddit meta Engi dps-build (http://de.gw2skills.net/editor/?fdAQFAUlUUpEr9ZxyKseNSaBNq7A6Xsi6+5KGgnC-ThRBABXt/o8DPdAAcBAy7BAQp6PmpEUQAjC-e), but I really don’t like it gameplay-wise. I don’t hate kits, but they’re quite annoying, so that I only wanna use one.
I’ve found myself enjoying playing with turrets, ‘cause they attract enemies which is veery valuable for me in PvE, as a consequence the build should contain one turret (and the healing one, having this AoE skill is pretty nice when playing with a friend).
Any build which isn’t bad (value-wise) and fits my conditions?

Imo bombs do more dmg with zerk gear and static discharge is pointless with your choice of toolbelt skills (they are no targeted so missing almost every time). Turret to attract enemies?:-P Man you need delete engi create ranger and pet some Bear:-P Only reasonably usefull turret in PvE is rifle one and only because of that low cd projectile toolbelt skill usable in sd builds.

the other turret that can work is thumper turret because you can overcharge it, detonate it, then use the toolbelt skill for 3 quick blast finishers on about a 45 sec cooldown. the elixir gun can keep up 3 blast finishers over the same amount of time, but the thumper turret is for a burst of might/stealth for bosses and such.

Here this is the best I came up with in a short time, u are going to want to use the thumper turret to blast your fire field from bomb 2. you don’t have to take throw mine, I would just advise dropping the toolbelt skill before pulling mobs and then switching out throw mine for whatever other skill you want. This build should give you plenty of doges and a decent amount of direct damage. (don’t forget to use your dodges offensively to drop bombs quicker)

Yeah as someone who frequently supplies gifts of the moon, you can easily get around 200g for just the gift once the 20 sigils of night are included that already knocks the price up to 240~ then with the skill points and mystic coins added I don’t think it would be too hard at all to get 250g from it, but they do sit for a while so you may be waiting a bit.

[Suggestion] Grenades auto-attack trait

in Engineer

Posted by: Infamous Darkness.3284

Infamous Darkness.3284

Ah I see, I am on the other end of the spectrum from Gizmo, I like that they are ground targeted and that you can lead your opponent with them. I also hate the way grenades work underwater they seem to move in a scalene triangle making it so between 1-2 of your grenades are always missing your target, not to mention that the attack speed of underwater grenades have already been greatly reduced, they went from a great underwater weapon to an incredible disappointment.

But if some people wanted a trait to make it auto attack that would be ok, I just probably wouldn’t use it.

Just an idea I had that has probably been said before, but here we go. Ideas for where this could take place so far would be The Bane, Vollym’s Battle Pit , or Tenanera’s Pit Each would probably have to be a separate instance that where you could pick a dungeon path and you would be continually attacked by mobs that increase in number and strength as time goes on, depending on what dungeon you choose determines what type of mobs you will fight. (example after fending against arah mobs for a while you could get a wave of something like, Alphard, Giganticus Lupicus, The Ancient Ooze, and Korga with his ton of elite gorilla mobs.

Guesses and suggestions for new Legendaries

Infamous Darkness.3284

eh I’ll add some random ideas
Greatsword
Large sword stuck inside of a stone when critically hitting the stone shatters and reforms.

Staff
a gnarled tree branch coming to a point with a gem affixed to the top, when changing attunements, using virtues, or shatters the staff will react in different ways, such as a burst of light, a shockwave emanating through the ground, or exploding (with your character model possibly and then reforming, thought this could work with the illusionary persona trait)

Sword
an air themed sword having the wisps of air rotate from the tip of the sword and down around the blade onto the hilt making it appear that it is continually cutting through the wind or that the wind is pushing against it.

Axe
a guitar shaped axe, crits cause a fire to erupt from the ground under the target (deals no additional damage) glancing blows cause the guitar to snap?

Pistol
sorry for some reason the picture keeps disappearing you can find it here…http://roosterteeth.com/members/images/image.php?id=670042&uid=168779&sort=modTotal&page=1
might add more later

Even just changing the bunker down trait to drop the mines in front of you and detonate immediately if something is on top of them may be enough to fix engineers (also removing the sound of the mines might help). Silly to have a trait called bunker down which is all about kiting (since you drop the mines behind you).

For pvp if you try to survive from beeing focused it’s

1. guardian (blocks + stability. Hard to kill in short time even if 3 people focus him)
2. thief (teleports away or go into stealth)
3. warrior (stability and stance, huge HP)
4. mesmer (teleport + stealth)
5. ele (teleport + stability )
6. necro (stunbreaker with teleport and huge HP pool)
7. ranger (evade on a stunbreaker a lot but has a hard time)
8. engi (blocks for 2 or 3 sec + elixir S)

Stability is the key

the engi one is a bit off you can have both toolkit for gear shield, static shield, and elixir S, if you dodge in between using these skills you can be mostly safe from enemy attacks for about 10 seconds (any fears, pull, ect. can ruin the blocks though)

No build exists with all this skills. I guess 90% of all engineers have only gear shield + elixir S or static schield and elixir S or static schield and gear schield. But all abilities in one build are not often used. This is the reason why the engi is on the last place.

Additionally the elixir S is nice for stomping but not the best abbility to survive very long. (you can’ t remove the effect nor conditions on yourself )

The problem with gear shield (fear – pull – whatever) is an additional problem.

In tpvp in 4vs4 or 3vs3 teamfights the engi dies first. No question. For sure the teams go for the thief first, because he is more dangerous. But if you want to spike a target quickly. Take the engi. No other class dies that fast.

I completely agree, I was just trying to show that the survivability could improve in terms of quasi invulnerability (I know blocks don’t stop a lot of things), Elixir S hasn’t deserved a spot on an engineers toolbar since it was nerfed to not being able to use skills while mini (other than using the toolbelt and switching back in my opinion)

But why that item?

I upgraded a personal guild bank and bought 25k gold ingots and 25k silver ingots but I’m reasonably sure that will go up when ascended jewelcrafting goes live.

Is there a crafted rune that uses that material that you think will go up in value? Or did you just do this for the lulz?

a little bit of both considering that they (more for the lulz though) are considered the same ranking as lodestones, and if new legendaries are released I figured there should be a decent demand for them (probably still not enough to give it a huge jump in price), but I also bought quite a few glacial lodestones at their low point because it was cheaper to buy them then it would be just to buy the elonian wine needed to upgrade cores into them in the MF.

I figured I would add some interesting things I learned while buy all of these.

1) the market moves faster than I would’ve thought. I could place 3 buy orders (250 piles of putrid essence each) as the highest buy order 3 times a day (for a total of 2250 a day during the weekends). In all I would say during the weekend probably 5000+ piles of putrid essence were sold every day to people with buy orders (not counting direct buys) during the week days it seemed to be a little less but I would still guess around 3500+ sold per day from buy orders.

2) I am not the only one who has a massive surplus of these sitting around. On two occasions I saw huge bulk buy order listings (one was 70,000, the other was 50,000)

3) I created two fully upgraded guild banks to hold all of these (100 extra spaces in the one bank)

4) When moving items with this much bulk a couple copper really adds up quick, or every copper that it increased in price was 2.5 silver more per stack, and when the price can quickly shift 20 copper in a day its better just to sit that day out. (it will make a 50 silver difference per stack)

5) Look for gaps for your buy orders ex. if some one has a small buy order at 1.1 silver and the next buy order is a large order at 1 silver, just drop your order at 1.01 silver it will save you quite a bit of money and you won’t have to wait too long.

Hopefully some of this information was useful, if you have any questions please ask.

Corrupted Class design

in Lore

Posted by: Infamous Darkness.3284

Infamous Darkness.3284

These were just some ideas I had if you have any to improve or believe this class isn’t possible because of lore reasons please explain.

Individuals who started being corrupted by dragons but now attempt to harness the power they were foolishly given in an attempt to fight the very dragons who gave them these powers. They can be used like a melee ranged caster to both support their allies and put out medium damage. (all races could work for this but sylvari would have to come from a different tree like Malyck)

Special Skill types

1) Embrace the curse: give up one stat to strengthen another, for example possibly something along the lines of accept the cold, gain x armor, while losing y movement speed. These are powerful abilities that can be toggled the longer you keep them activated though the stronger both the negative and positive aspects of it becomes.

2) Enhance weapons: similar to the way Sanguinary blade, different corruptions can be used to empower allies but with possible side effects, such as Collateral Damage increases critical damage of target ally by x with each attack used causes that same ally to take y damage (somewhat like a retribution effect)

3) Corrupt terrain: able to distort the terrain in ways that could benefit the corrupted or their team, such as forming an ice wall to block the path of enemies, or cause the terrain to become more dangerous (Ice spikes protruding through the ground with a caltrops type effect on enemies, structures could be damaged and destroyed by enemies)

4) Plague: spread their corruption in different ways to enemies to make them suffer from but also empowering them in a different way. For example Freezing veins, causes enemy to be chilled for x seconds but all incoming conditions are reduced by y seconds.

TL;DR basically a druid using dragon corruption.
