well you see what happened was those deer were very intelligent and though you couldn’t see them they watched and sometimes even participated in the great battles of old pre-searing ascalon fighting against both charr and humans who claimed to be legendary defenders of ascalon racking up kills and gaining combat experience, these skills were passed down for generations and refined into what we see now innocent looking killing machines. You may realize this is similar to the rabbits who work in tandem with the vaettirs to kill their human enemies.

I never suggest using flamethrowers to dig holes, nor did I imply Scarlet was going to try. Plus I was jokingly suggesting Scarlet plan was to dig a big hole and throw Evon and his fans into it to save Tyria from its own version of the Bieber plague.
Anyways in the trailer we do see Lion’s Arch on fire, which implies the flamethrowers were used to some degree.
I was just teasing you for the use of the word “burrow” – defined as

when it was clear that you meant “borrow” – defined as

I’ve said before that Gnashblade is like Steve Jobs. Scrap that. Gnashblade is like Justin Bieber and his fans are Tyria’s equivalent of Beliebers. So don’t be too harsh on them, they’ve yet to discover themselves.

So in this update will engineers receive the buff to their kits to increase their damage to ascended levels, as well as elementalists and their conjured weapons, and warrior’s banners?
Everyone else received this buff back on September 3rd (I know most people didn’t craft ascended weapons the first day) when ascended weapons were released which means by the time of this update it will have been over 5 months since other builds were given this buff that we were also promised that we would receive eventually. So again will this be the update where these specs receive their overdue buffs? (or are we forced to continue waiting)
You may also notice that in the second post right here that originally it appeared that they did buff banners, kits, and conjured weapons to receive this damage bonus but it was fixed as a bug fix here is the quote “•Fixed an unintended damage increase that caused engineer kits, elementalist conjures, and warrior banners to deal more damage than intended.”

It’s posts like this that made me happy I voted for Kiel, if Evon had won we would have had a competent person in office who would’ve had defenses! Why have that when you could have the chaos an unprepared Kiel causes?
The entire console was against defenses we learned this in the recent living story. I doubt Evon would have had any more sway then Keil.
Oh the hell he wouldn’t, a few gold here, a few gold there and Evon now controls the whole council, I mean seriously the guy has money out he kitten if you couldn’t tell from his campaign strategy of throwing bags of money + voting tokens out like candy.

You know who actually is? Me, my friend. Me.” might be hard to buy the loyalty of the council when there are people on it with more wealth then Evon (and thus more power to buy the council’s votes for themselves)

Evon will charge the innocents of LA 15% tax before he’d even lift a single whisker in their defence. If he were ever to mobilise and form a defence, they would aptly be called “Black Guards.” The only good Gnashblade is a dead one and judging by the trailer, “Mr. E” might just be killed while he scurries to escape with his bags of gold weighing him down.
um you do realize how insane it is to try to form a militia to protect an area under the control of another government right, not to mention all the horrible ways this can go wrong a good example of this is Benedict Arnold it doesn’t completely show the scope of the situation or relieve him of his betrayal afterwards but its a true story that shows how bad that situation could go. Paying for the militia’s wages out of your own money, personal injury, publicly attacked, not being permitted to quit/resign (these are just examples from Arnold’s career, later he used his influence to make money off the troop supplies and in the end betrayed Washington and the revolutionary army too, so he was by no means a saint.)
another attack on lions arch. I can already think of two times this has happened off the top of my head. The first being the karka attack on lions arch, and the second being the first Halloween when mad king thorn burst through the lion fountain in the center of the city. (I don’t think wintersday could be counted as it seems the toys rampage was mostly confined the tixx airship.) Now there is the major difference that it appears that we wont be able to fend off the initial attack and will have to retreat and regroup before attempting to reclaim the city.
SIDE NOTE: I understand that it appears scarlet will combine the might of all of her alliances to form a coalition with the purpose of destroying lions arch? (kinda interesting that lions arch the melting pot of tyria would be destroyed by those outcast from the major races?)

1) humans killed by their protectors and their furthest advance in technology the watchwork knights (queen’s jubilee)
2) people assassinated during a party (dragon bash also seems some citizens may have been killed by the aetherblades)
3) a disease that spreads across the continent causing hysteria and death (tower of nightmare)
4) people forced to leave their homes and retreat from a blitzkrieg that came from the north (frost and flame)
These all seem like fairly traumatic events that killed many people and changed a bit of the landscape in tyria, out of all of these though I’d say tower of nightmare would’ve been the closest in comparison to the searing. (unforeseen attack, driving people insane, massive change to the landscape)

Net Turret: Decreased the immobilize duration from 3 seconds to 2 seconds on the basic attack.
27 bugs and no fix but another nerf, why thank you very much. (that being said net turret was quite powerful, but its disappointing that nerfing takes precedent over fixes.)

If you are defeated, you are basically killed. But I don’t think it was ever stated that Dhuum gained power from creatures dying, unless they died in the Underworld.
Sorry I was not very clear I meant the practice Dhuum had of not allowing people to be resurrected, or if they were he would hunt them down, one of the reasons he was considered unjust and why Grenth fought against him?
maybe some form of release into tyria, technically there are no more resurrection skills in the game and characters are “downed” or “defeated” rather than killed maybe this shows how strong dhuum has become?
So then I would agree that the pet damage should also increase by 5%. But doesn’t a ranger deal about 60% or so of the damage while it’s pet still deals 40% or so. So that would mean that for 5 months most professions got a 5% damage boost, while rangers got a 3% overall damage boost, and elementalist (conjures), engineer (kits), and warrior (banners) got nothing, and still have no sign of getting this proper damage increase.

Lately I have been having terrible lagg and while I can still talk to my party and move around while this is going on, I am unable to use any skills, sometimes I dc but other times I don’t, while this was going on the last time I decided to check my internet speed it came back with the results of

despite all of this though it seems that the elder dragons are at least somewhat intelligent, I base most of this assumption off of the fact that immediately when Kralkatorrik awoke it immediately knew that glint had betrayed him and went to dispatch her, also

that would’ve been fine but they have been here now for almost 5 months, so I think this needs to be fixed probably wouldn’t be too bad to fix it when they do the nerf to critical damage effectively only making it a 5% nerf to damage of these classes and a 10% nerf to others? (since it was 5% that they were missing out on before)
Yes it is fair to say that, well this engineer doesn’t deserve ascended level damage from his/her kits because they are still only using exotics. but on the other hand it is equally unfair to say that an engineer who has had ascended/legendary weapons don’t get a buff to their damage until every engineer is equipped with ascended weapons, or they have to wait 5+ months to receive the same buffs available to all other classes (besides ele conjured weapon builds, and I’ve never seen it but a warrior using banners for his/her weapon.) Now you may say that well they are trying to find a way to only buff people who actually have the upgraded equipment and its more difficult then anet anticipated at first, if that is the case ok but then I think we the players would at least like to know because currently it just feels (to me at least) that they just forgot, or because it is the least played class that is affected most by this they just don’t care (looking at the way they reacted to the charr being the least played race).

You won’t get kicked as long as noone knows. And even if someone knows, only fotm 30++ seem to carry about what you are doing (since the instability may cause some real challenge). Better just go full zerker, it outdamages conditions by far!
Engi is pretty underrated. The reason is the same as for the ranger: 99% of the players don’t know what they actually are doing. Examples:
- Dual Pistol or Pistol AA user: Instakick. Same damage as a melee GS Mesmer. Pistol = Condition damage = weak. Most terrible scenario you can see.
- Rifle / Flamethrower only (with HGH): Those engis will deal damage but grant almost 0 utility, vulnerability, heal, might. Also the damage is not higher than the warriors. No reason to take this one.
The right answer is: Heal Turret, Grenades, Bombs, Elixier Gun, Pistol + Shield in general. Change skills / weapons for specific situations.
For example a rifle is great for the hold on 2 at for example dredge fractale endboss. However, even if it’s not much difference – since Skill 3 and 5 do hit extremly hard, they are good for AoE, but won’t outdamage bombs cast in this time + an additional blast finisher. Or change to stability or reflection elixiers at harpy frac. Toolkit for Block against Mai etc etc etc.The main reason to take an engineer is that he will be able to:
- grant almost permanently 12 stacks might with a long dura
- keep the vulnerability stacks at 25, even against bosses who have reduced debuff duras (especially here he shines)
- heal aoe aswell clean tons of conditions with turret + elixier gun 3 (secretly op)
- best AoE damage in the game, buddy of the ele (most of engi skills hit 5 targets, not only 3 – when the warrior unleashes the 3x 50k over 3 sec, you’ll do 5x 3x 6k bombs…)
- tons of blinds to prevent dmg, prevent heal / dodge, increase dps
- invisibility, cc, and tons of conditions
The engi is extremly underrated. I bet he deals the same damage or slightly less damage as the ele or warrior, however combined with much more other stuff. The thing is, he is most about passive damge granted by might and vulnerability and by preventing damage. Main damage still great (bomb 1 hits for 4-8k per sec per target). Still, the engineer seems to be the hardest class to play efficient. Press like 3254 buttons for 12 stacks might -> guard presses 1. Still, extremly fun I promise.
I agree with pretty much everything you have said here other than I personally prefer thumper turret to elixir gun, while elixir gun will grant more might uptime total and more utility, the thumper turret allows for 3 quick blast finisher for bursting down bosses, allowing you to provide your whole group with 21 stacks of might (number of blast finishers possible while using grenade kit, bomb kit, and thumper turret with offhand shield: 1(shield #4) 1(detonate heal turret) 1(supply crate) 3(thumper turret overcharge, detonate, toolbelt skill rumble) 1(Big Ol’ Bomb))7 blast finishers multiplied by 3 stacks of might by each for 21 might.

1) after talking to the oracyte and moving to the across the magma field Magg bugged out and his dialogue went out of order. From this point we couldn’t do anything to get him to retalk to the magmacyte killed him several times and rezzed him all died and waypointed and ran to the magmacyte again but still it stopped us from progressing.
2) then I tried to submit a bug report with the ingame tool taking my own screenshot to show the area where Magg’s dialogue got messed up, When attempting to take the screenshot it froze Guild Wars 2 client and didn’t respond until being reopened.
Mostly I’d say just get used to fields and their effects as an engineer you have access to almost every field available for most (pve) situations fire will be your preferred field with each blast finisher in this field giving your party 3 stacks of might for 20 seconds you can get quite a bit of extra damage, but don’t underestimate the usefulness you can bring with smoke bomb and group stealth or other such combos. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Combo
I assume it is similar to the situation with the wintersday weapons from last year if you purchased them before they were a black lion ticket item they are account bound even if never used. (I have two sitting in my bank with no plans to ever use them)

I love ToolKit. Box o’ Nails needs a quicker cast time but otherwise it’s a great kit. I like the control, not to mention (I think) the lowest cooldown block in the game. And the weapon animations are fun (wrench, magnet, prybar).
Just to let you know its not the lowest cooldown block in the game its beaten out by warrior offhand sword #4 (Riposte), Warrior mace #2 (Counterblow), Mesmer offhand sword #4 (Illusionary Riposte), Mesmer scepter #2 (Illusionary Counter), and ranger greatsword #4 (counterattack). this all being said gear shield is still and amazing block and many of these blocks will only block one attack (especially if in melee range)
…only going after engi huh, if you ever wvw against HoD I would very much enjoy dueling you. (I main engi)
its one of my favorite kits (sorry not really adding much everything I would’ve said has pretty much already been said)
perhaps he was running thumper turret it is a great source of might as it includes 3 blast finishers and 1 knockback without any traits, if he was full zerk his bomb #1 could be hitting up to about 8k, also did he ever use pry bar on you and if he did how hard did it hit for not counting the confusion?

with engi in wvw you are able to get away with less survivability if you use toolkit and shield you have a lot of block uptime especially with toolkit traited where you get 3 seconds of blocks every 16 seconds (almost 20% uptime on blocks just there)
or bombs instead of grenades if you saw one way or the other.

interesting build I guess you are mostly relying on bleeds from eg1, poison and burning, with your large stacks of might.
One question have you fought any condition necros with corrupting boons/conditions or a condition warrior, because it seems like these would out last you?
also a suggestion have you considered using sigil of generosity rather than force, this may allow you to swap out elixir S for something like toolkit (as you already have a stunbreak in your elixir gun) this would allow you more confusion in your build another incredible block on a short recharge and a bit of area denial with box of nails)
personally I only use it in the thaumanova fractal in the meltdown room thing, if you use toss elixir r with this you can walk all the way to the end.
