Its a guild forum. Would be better if it was on gwscr or official forums only. Most of the feedback was on the DnT forums and not everyone goes there. I understand you guys want to direct traffic to your site but its not always best for the community.
I seriously doubt it has anything to do with site traffic. Not everyone goes to gw2sc either. I think it’s great that you know what’s best for the community, but I’m sure a lot of other people have differing views as well/
By the looks of it all future tournies are going to be done by DnT with disregard to outside feedback that you guys dont agree with. Thats monopolisation.
Your feedback has been regarded multiple times, just because you didn’t get 100% of what you wanted does not = a monopolisation. We take into account what everybody wants, not just what you want. I suggest that if you have any more of this feedback, that this thread is not the place to be airing it.
I just need to say this. I’ve not once seen an rT member cry about the no wipe rule (apart from the occasional “man that sucked”.

You are completely misinterpreting our comments. Theres plenty of others with the same opinion but they are not being vocal about it. We simply want neutral organisation, not monopolisation of all future tournies.

No you do not understand. It is not about you or your tournament. It is about the community and what the community wants to see.
Is this about what the community wants to see or what you personally want to see? We had an overwhelmingly great response from the community about the last tournament for the record. There were very few people who took issue, of those people can you guess who they were?
I can imagine that you needed to generate fame for your guild and bypassing the community was a way to get a first-mover advantage. I can also imagine you may think I am discussing this only because I – as an rT member – would be envious of the attention your project attracts. Please believe that it is not the case.
I can only imagine that DnT was already quite popular anyway and probably did this tournament as something to make the game interesting again. If it’s not envy from you then it’s probably some other deep seated issue that I don’t have time to analyse with my mind brain powers right now.
This is honestly getting ridiculous. We have had a public forum where things can be discussed for a good time now and you were welcomed there. Your feedback was given attention and changes were made. I think Nike has been very respectful and patient and I think that your reaction has been incredibly irrational and disrespectful.

You can do a safe and fast run without AH. And
You can do a not so safe fast run without AH.

Look i play and 90% of the time (like here) using paladins. I love the concept but for the life of me, there is something in the class that fries games designers brains.
Honest advice, Guardian is the Cooler class, while warriors are the Better class.
Mind elaborating in detail, through traits and gear along with how the guardian works in a group of 5 to not be as ‘good’ as a warrior?
which grants them 900 passive self healing, shout healing the party for 2500k on short cool downs, as well as gratting better buffs like Fury instead of 1 or 2 stacks of might. Keep a good amount of attack power and 40%crit through fury and you still have 5 traits to customize further. All while having a decent 2800 armor and 21k hp pool.
If this is for 5 man dungeons… I figured you just lacked understanding of guardian but it seems it’s carried over to warriors as well. I think it’s best you brush up on that before you go trying to talk people out of playing guardians.

They were competing against people like [rT] and [iV] who were running berserker’s. But anyways good players can run bad builds.
And it doesn’t have any relevance to pugging. This was a tourny environment that depends on many different factors including the risks and tactics employed by other people to be successful. If another team gets wrecked because they took huge risks, then of course all your team needs to do is not die and get through it at a stable pace. Props to them for playing it safe because it worked out for them, it’s a really good tactic for that environment.
When I am pugging, I will absolutely kick someone in PVT and AH 10 times out of 10. They’re nothing but a burden to a well composed full meta team doing a dungeon tour with tactics that are low risk and proven time and time again to work. You should know just how much of a spanner in the works one bad build can be when the rest of your team is geared towards getting things killed fast. It’s noticeable, and then when it’s say 3 people with bad builds, or 4, you really start feeling it, and the wipes start happening. Doesn’t matter how ‘good’ they are, it does not change their kitten dps.
‘good players’ can run bad builds, or good players can run good builds and be better.
Talking about Fractals here. The Fractal tourney showed that you can AH PTV you can get things done safe and fast. But Yes I agree in dungeons its best to run all berserkers because most of the time things melt so fast you don’t even need to dodge. Also you should probably put ‘bad’ in quotes too because although AH is not ‘meta’ at the moment, RTG must has talked about their builds prior to the tournament. The AH guardian allowed every1 else in the team to play more aggressive and stay melee for longer, a form of dps meter that can not be calculated with paper dps.

The thing was, I started out as zerk but then everyone was poo pooing it and telling me it’s bad even though I had like 0 problem with it.. so I was like meh ok. So I thought about it (bad idea) and I like.. came to the conclusion all by myself.. I looked at the traits and was like OMG there’s traits here that HEAL you for DOING things for PEOPLE. I BET NO ONE HAS EVER THOUGHT OF THIS. And I had that empowering might kitten going and full shouts and all that cancer and I was like kitten I carry ppl so hard wtf is up. Then one day I was like.. You know what could make this build even better?!?! CLERICS GEAR!! That lasted about idk.. one dungeon run and then I realised that everything I had ever known was a lie. And I put zerker gear on and removed all my honor and valor traits and that was that.
Just read your post of how you’d kick AH guards too, Swifty, and to remember that I was actually running (and was so proud!) AH guard when I started GW2 a few months ago. ^^

RTG Guardian in KING tourney was running PTV and AH build most of the time which are both said to be suboptimal(Build and gear wise). The Guardian in my opinion played amazingly.
I’m not bothering to take people who aren’t bothered to take the right gear, no matter how ‘good’ they say/think they are. I just don’t have the time for those attitudes when I’m pugging.

You can be sarcastic all you want, but if you don’t want to acknowledge, that one playstyle is preferred over the others, then i can’t help your ignorance. If you don’t think, that kicking people, and requiring people to link their berserker gear, is not elitist, then you really shouldn’t comment on things that you have no clue on.
It also has nothing to do with disagreeing. It’s about discussing how to diversify playstyles in GW2, to make the game better for everyone, and not for a certain playstyle only.
GW2 is actually worse than a trinity MMO. You cannot play anything else, lest you be scorned and kicked. At least in trinity MMOs, you can have 3 choices. In GW2, it’s berserker, or gtfo.

I make a party. I specify what I want in the lfg. People ignore it/don’t read. I’m the elitist for kicking them. So unless I just take anyone and anything I’m a horrible person. Sorry mate but I’m not a charity, I’m there to get dungeons done, not hold people’s hands and put up with their kitten PHIW builds that they think are good for hours on end everyday. The only form of ‘elitism’ in this game is when someone joins someone elses party and expects those people to put up with their kitten, and play the game how they want.
As someone who has previously played at around 250ms on a Telstra connection, I think with 250 you should be fine with most classes in this game as long as it sits at around 250 stable and doesn’t spike much. Atm I still manage a zerk melee ranger in dungeons and a zerk med guard in pvp which can be a little shaky at times, both on a 600ms ping.. (Optus sucks)
