It is a broken skill the amount of condi necro’s in wvw now is ridiculous. This game keeps pushing to more passive gameplay. Yesterday I killed 5 people by just using epi on a lord. 1 skill…..lol they should just change the animation so a mushroom cloud appears because it literally is like dropping a nuke

One meteor shower kill 5 players easily when they fight against lord. I think that you haven’t even used epidemic. You just want nerf because you can’t l2p.

Think the better way to go would to be to impose a global cap on the number of condition stacks that can effect a player. 25 bleed/5 poison/3 burn/ etc or something like that.

Nerfing Epi is all well and good for zerg play, but it doesn’t stop the problem of condition overload on the small scale roaming side of things.

…On top of that, Wuv and PvE share the same skills and rule atm, and all this talk of nerfing epi would probably send all those PvE Necro players into a fit if they ever looked at this thread. Especially those who suffered as Necro mains for years before the specialization update and HoT and still believe their profession is terrible despite the fact half the LFGs for Master tier fractals will accept nothing else for condi. :P

So when you would fight against condi reaper you wouldn’t even need to dodge that spinning skill because it would only give 5 stacks of poison? Frigging awesome ideas.

I don’t see a problem with it. If there is one, then reduce the radius to 500. Small, incremental adjustments are better than large ones.

Then it would be total kitten in small scale and wouldn’t affect zerg fights at all. There is always 5 target in 500 range in zerg.

Yes nerf skill even more. Maybe players were just better before because it wasn’t problem in launch when it got unlimited range and you didn’t need line of sight.

Have “Protection” affect condition damage.

Done.

33% decrease in damage and duration for poision, bleeding, burning, torment, confusion
66% effectiveness for all other conditions (just like 10% effectiveness of these on targets with defiance)

Or force players do some condi cleanse training before they can go WvW.

Are you aware of a class called necro which has a variety of boon corrupting skills which corrupts boons faster than one can cleanse ?

I don’t use boons when i fight against necro. That would be just stupid. And need to remember that dodge have much shorter cool down than necros boon corrupt skills.

Kind of stupid forget than many players don’t actually use that most op condi spec. Nerfing condi just make most op spec more balanced and other condi specs will be totally useless.

Power user need to land one hit to make huge dmg. Condi user need to land 8 skills and spam autoattack 30 sec to make huge dmg.

Necro: Really op with condi. Is able to apply burns, poison, and bleeds on a regular and massive basis with a little torment thrown in, while corrupting boons, which applies lots more different types of condis. Impossible to cleanse everything. All the while having very high survivablity. The only downside is the time it takes to ramp up the damage, but once it does, it’s over. Needs precision

Yes those massive condi stacks are scary. Condi reapper skills are so hard to dodge. Staff marks give huge stacks of bleed and poison and you can’t avoid them because those are unblockable. Scepter 2 and offhand dagger 5 skills have so short cast times that brains can’t send impulses fast enough. I fail to dodge that reaper shroud 5 skill every time too. Then reaper just use that skill 4 and spin like crazy while i can’t move (because only girls and french players use stunbreakers) and i get like 12 stacks of poison and i don’t have any condi removal because i am real man.

No idea how enemy can put condition when ranger have 1500 range. I always stay 1500 range and i won’t get conditions at all.

Hardest part is land mortar shot to moving target. You see some thief roamer and try to kill him with a mortar. It’s very hard.

Pro tip is not to fight if there is some chance that you lose. If you defend keep and enemy get in just run and don’t give enemy any kills. I have notice that this make enemy mad.

I was commander once. I did sit in enemy keep tag on 3.5 hours and we did win match easily. That is how you play commander.

You can’t get driving license either if you drive like kitten whole time.

Please tell that to half the drivers in the world because everytime I am on the highway people keep insisting on being in the middle of 3 lanes (which is punishable by a hefty fine if the cops bother to ticket you, yet everyone does it anyway).

So your comparison fails.

I did mean that you won’t get driving license if you crash like 5 times in driving test.

Could that npc ask some questions before he sell commander mark? You can’t get driving license either if you drive like kitten whole time. Seriously commander siegerazer is like mensa member compared some of these commanders. Some noob probably come tell that it’s better have some commander than no commander. ACTUALLY, NO IT ISN’T!!!!.

Haha some mesmer was afk in blue keep so he can tp zerg in and i killed him laika boss. He spammed some salty whispers that i play game wrong way. I tried to send him bags of salt, but he blocked me. Gotta love EotM.

Thing just is that servers that have biggest blob get most kills because they just run over enemy and won’t lose any players. Of course spawn camping give lot’s of kills too.

Of course it’s unbalanced because WvW is just one big frigging mess. How can you balance something if you just fill maps random players that have totally different play styles and goals? Some side might have like 50% less players and 20% of these players don’t contribute anything because they doing some dueling or GvG. WvW is like multiculturalism. Doesn’t work.

Epidemic is so broken right now it’s crazy. Just stack 100% condi duration and load up a pet or an NPC with a bunch of condis and it’s over… zero counterplay.

But everybody is immune to condi anyways because of resistance.

like 90% of fsp player dont want to do ppt bcz is boring we prefer to fight to have some nice fight instead of fighting dors/walls anet should increase ppk instead of ppt. Most of ppl who want to have some good fights are spiting between fps,deso&vabbi.

Actually all players who wanna good fights play only EotM. Fight is bad if zergs use tactics and lame builds. These kill trading heros probably follow some commander and use team speak because they don’t know when to dodge.

wvw is non sense zerg tactic anyway.

for example taking 10 rangers 10 thiefs 5 ele 5 warriors
vs
any guardian + w/e bullkitten will always win.
some classes are just beyond useless in the zerg mode and tactics are non sense cus certain classes cant just storm into the zerg to make them self usefull

if thiefs could jump into middle of a zerg and still diss out dmg like they do now + survive they would be wanted.
if rangers would actually just hit the target they have selected and not each kittenface infront of em it might help them also.

One average of better thief kill 10 players alone. 10 thiefs could kill 100 enemies easily.

Look outside the box though. There’s a reason why there’s “20 reapers” using this skill right now as opposed to “20 eles” spamming meteor shower. One is vastly superior to the other. (Epidemic.) If meteor shower were better, or even equal as you assert, then we’d see 20 eles instead of the 20 reapers. All I’m saying is that the meta is epidemic. And there’s barely any counters to it when you stack reapers/necros. One necro with 1 epi is fine. 5 necros with 5 epis is exponentially dangerous. The same is not true with meteor shower.

Been there, done that. The old meta was less stupid? Everyone running berserker and bomb with wells/marks and meteor while the melee stunned everything around them.

Do you know what the counter was? Pop stability and don’t stand in wells/showers. There’s 0 tells for epidemic. You’re not even addressing the argument either. You’re just saying “Well the old meta was dumb. Also, epidemic is what I prefer, so therefore it is not overpowered.” Logic fail.

You saying that you won’t see that black “smoke” effect at target when necro start to casting epidemic?

Bubble wars would be awesome if skills would work. For example if shelter would be real shelter that would bring totally new tactical aspect in fighting. No idea why they even add skill that is named shelter and enemy can just walk inside stability on.
