Not me. Idle character animations to me are rather trivial. I’d rather see more living story content soon after HoT. I don’t sit around staring at my character on idle for hours or even minutes, but I do enjoy playing many hours of actual game content. If they work in the change without sacrificing progress toward more significant game updates then I have no problem with that.

Some people seem to enjoy idle animations as seen in this thread so it isn’t fair to say it is stupid. Everyone has small things about the game they care about. Gauging how important to the overall game such things are in Anet’s eyes and to the bulk of the player base is a different question.

They already recently raised the character slot cap. As for the rest of your rather lengthy post, it really isn’t on topic for this thread (increase bank slot/character slot limit). If you want your suggestions/thoughts to have a better chance to be seen by Anet perhaps start a thread on those topics. Otherwise they are just buried here in a thread that isn’t about most of your post.

Your can continue your dialog with support and ask if they will investigate the issue further. You can also ask for a review from the support team lead in the “Tickets for Review” sticky thread. Make sure to include your ticket number.

On another note, if there is a chance someone in your household might have accessed your account and deleted your characters, sorry in that case you are out of luck. Anet only provides account recovery for accounts that have been stolen by a 3rd party. This does not include household members or anyone else that may have accessed your computer in your home.

If that is the case you are indeed out of luck. Access to your account in your own home is your responsibility. I suggest you have a talk with the person in your house that may have deleted your characters. Also in the future since it seems that you may have people in your home that want to destroy your game progress, I suggest not using the remember password option.

The WvW event was not a Beta Weekend Event. It makes sense in early testing of WvW to have an invite only based on those that have played WvW regularly. It would not make sense to open it up to everyone and have a bunch of players that mostly play PvE roaming around in WvW that can’t give good feedback because they know little about WvW.

Perhaps there will be a future Beta Weekend Event that includes WvW for everyone interested. In that case, yes all pre-purchasers should have access.

Of course some people do you even admitted so, see the bold text in the quote. That’s why they buy those packages. They want the skins, mini, etc. and think it is worth the money. The fact that you as an individual don’t find value in those items does not negate the fact that many people do.

You don’t get to subtract value from an item for everyone just because you find no value in it yourself. To me the custom mail carriers have no value (to me they are dust using your terrible overly biased analogy). I don’t go around in the threads on mail carriers telling people saying they bought them that they have no value though. That would make no sense as apparently many people enjoy custom mail carriers and thus they have value to the buyer.

And that is exactly what you are doing, you are telling people those items have no value because you think they have no value. In your personal situation, indeed you should not buy the Deluxe or Ultimate edition because you have no interest in those items. I’ll agree with you on that.

2 — The larger packs don’t add functionality, they add a mini and a glider skin etc. Nothing you need to play the game. The largest pack includes a set of 1/2 price gems, so if you will spend 50 bucks on gems anyway in the future it’s a stellar deal.

2. That’s true. The only extra thing the ultimate edition has that the deluxe doesn’t is $50 worth of gems for half price.

They’re not half price unless you consider skins and minis to be worth $15.

To be fair it is a miniature, a glider skin, a finisher, a guild hall decoration, and a character slot. I’m guessing many people that choose the Deluxe or Ultimate edition do place some value on those items. The character slot alone is a $10 value. The finishers sold in the gems store according to the wiki range from 500-800 gems so that is at a minimum another $5 value. There is your $15 in two items alone. Minis in the gem store range from 350-700 gems. So add another couple of dollars. The other items don’t really have a gem store value at this time. I’m sure they will later when similar items are sold in the gem store at a later date.

You will have to wait to hear back from support. You should also remove the email address in your post as it may lead to a security risk.

Not sure if I would trust that seller. They have minimal feedback. Of note 1 positive for the same item about 6 months ago, and one negative about a month ago for the same item claiming the items was never received. Plus that might be skirting the edge of RMT which Anet frowns upon.

If he buys the expansion it includes the core game for new customers/accounts. It will be one serial code but registering it will provide both. So your friend will not only have HoT when it is released but can begin playing the core game right away.

Correction, HoT as the expansion itself cannot be bought with gems. The only option available via gems is to upgrade from base HoT to Deluxe. You have to have purchased base HoT with real world money and added to the account first. It works like the older DD upgrade does. You can buy HoT basic, Deluxe, or Ultimate through the in game store but you have to pay with real world money and it automatically upgrades the account once purchased.

If one wishes to gift the expansion to another they can buy the expansion through the web store or other authorized retailer and simply send the serial code to the gift recipient. As mentioned previously you cannot buy the expansion through the in game store for someone else because once purchased it automatically upgrades the account.

Rinith’s reply is probably the closest description to the reality as of today where we stand with SAB. We’ve made a number of changes to the physics engine as a result of places like Silverwastes, Dry Top, and the expac that means we need to go back and re-work SAB to use all the new movement systems. It also needs a pretty solid rewards overhaul, and I know Josh would love to make some changes to world 2 before it returns.

We’re all focused on expansion – both the announced details, and the un-announced details and simply can’t peel anyone off a team to work on it right now without it effecting expac. The two SAB worlds we’ve seen will return as we’ve said before, but simply put our focus right now is on making the expansion amazing

You will need to maintain your dialog with support by updating your ticket. To update your ticket simply reply to the last email they sent you. Do not submit multiple tickets as this will push you to the back of the line and significantly slow response time. If your account was truly stolen they will roll back your account to restore it.

Markets change. Yet bet big and lost. That is the way it works. It isn’t Anet’s fault. Had you wagered the same several months ago you would not have had the same result. Your timing was bad and you paid for it. Sorry for your luck but that is how market speculation works. Sometimes you win based on changes Anet makes, sometimes you lose based on changes they make.

My issue is simple. I’m charged for every text message I receive. Yes, I do not have a phone plan that has unlimited text because I don’t and neither do any of my friends. It’s a generational thing, I’m in my 50s. I also do not freely distribute my home or mobile phone number in RL and especially online.

Then don’t use 2-step/SMS authentication. It isn’t required. All you miss out on is the mini and the added layer of security. As for a generational thing I don’t get what you mean. My parents and many of my friends are in their 60’s. They have phones that have an unlimited text plan. My mom who is 65 uses SMS authenticating for many of her online accounts. I know because I helped her set them up and she likes the extra security. I talk to her almost every day and she has not once mentioned getting unwanted phone calls or texts due this. Trust me she would let me know if she did.

tl;dr You are not forced to use 2-step authentication. If you choose to be behind the times due to your age that is up to you.

If that is the case, I hate to tell you this, but you are out of luck. Anet will not do roll backs for accounts that were not truly stolen/hacked. Since it seems you have some roommates that are not very nice, in the future do not use the remember password option. Sorry for your luck and I hope your roommates can find a way to make it up to you.

It sounds like your account might have been compromised. You will have to wait to hear from support. If indeed your account was compromised they will restore your account. After such you should take measures to secure your account better.

I for one am dead against this SMS system ,i know it protects accounts and such. But as i am deaf i do not own a mobile phone nor intend to prove myself to anyone. I have left WoW over their Authenticator and never want to see one again. As my ISP rotates our IP address regularly it haunts me to enter a code every 3-4 days. ANET should have a better system than blame shifting back on too the player. I thought ANET already had a IP Tracker for security.

If ANET force players to use this Authentication i can see many forms of Discrimination taking place against its users. Especially those with deafness and other issues and handicaps affected.

You are not forced to use it. It is optional. You can stick to email authentication if you so choose. That still won’t solve the problem of your IP changing regularly though. That is between you and your provider.

Haha, no sorry, you didn’t earn them by buying gems or buying GW2. I have probably spent way more on gems than you, more than most people, and I don’t have the titles because I didn’t earn them through playing Guild Wars 1. Look, it was a mistake that you even received the titles, a bug. You didn’t earn them.

So I was a bit off in my prediction but I knew someone would find a reason to feel, “slapped in the face” over this.

Seems like a good idea to get people to add more security to their accounts. Of course I give it a few hours before someone shows up and says something like, “I can’t get the free mini. This feel like a slap in the face because I don’t own a phone that can use the authenticator.”

Well it would be different if the suggestions had a little more thought put into them and more detailed information on why the suggestion would benefit the game. Most of the OPs suggestions seem to be things that just came to mind with little or no reasoning as to why it is being suggested.

I agree it is much better than bashing the game without constructive feedback, but it kind of goes both ways. A suggestion, if one wants Anet to take it seriously, should be a bit more detailed and not just something that seems to be random ideas posted on the forum.

You know Zahld, looking at your post history, just to let you know there is no achievement or rewards tied to making suggestions on the forum.

It depends on when you bought the deluxe edition. If you bought the oldest edition prior to the release of the Heroic edition/upgraded deluxe edition you do not receive the armor skins or any of the other items that came with Heroic. If you bought the more recent edition and feel you should receive the rewards you will have to continue your conversation with support.
