You have to buy a transfer with gems. If you have the gems all you have to do is pick a NA server you want and select the transfer option.
Keep in mind if a server is full you will have to wait for an opening. Further reading:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World
To transfer to a different world, go to the character selection screen (using F12 or when you first logon) and select the desired world; you will be logged out while the game makes these changes, which might take 5-30 minutes. You can transfer once every seven days at a cost determined by the destination server population.
On a side note you can also transfer for free if you are willing to delete all your characters. Just make sure you put everything you want to keep in your bank first. See link above for more details.

If you purchased the core game before January 23, 2015 and apply the pre-purchase upgrade key to your account you get the expansion plus a loyalty character slot. The core game is offered for free to new customers that buy HoT.
If you purchased the core game after the date above and then purchased HoT you might be eligible for a refund or a character slot depending on where you bought the game.

In regard to the infinite tools. They were first soul bound on equip when released. People complained and so Anet took the middle ground and made them account bound and even offered gem refunds for people that bought duplicates of the same tool. I don’t see them making them character wide after making such a compromise. After all people that don’t want to deal with banking them still buy multiple sets for their alts. There has to be some middle ground and I think Anet met it.
As for the other items mentioned. I always put them in the bank after use anyway since they don’t do much good hanging out in my inventory.
You will have to wait for the fix to go through to access HoM skins like everyone else. Anet has stated the fix is soon but they are still testing to make sure it works 100% before taking it live.
The core game is included for free to new customers to, you know, attract new customers. It would kind of be a bummer to have to pay full price for the core game right now and then have to pay again in a few months for the expansion.
Also, if you want the perk of the free core game feel free to buy HoT, ask customer support to close your current account with all the years of game play you have had, all the rewards, achievements, and everything else you have and then start over. There, you get the core game for free on a shiny new account with no gold, not titles, no achievements…. you get the point.
The refund is for customers that bought the core game between the dates Jedi posted and pre-purchased the expansion. The reason is the core game is now included with HoT for free to new customers.
Why in the world would they refund a purchase for someone that has had the game/been playing the game for years? Hey here is $50 you spent years ago back after playing the game for years since you bought HoT for $50. So basically the expansion is free. Haha sorry but that makes no sense at all. None.
Another Serial Code After HoT Purchase?

If you upgrade through the in game store, which applies the upgrade automatically to the account you get the email with the code and note it is for your records. If you upgrade by buying through the web site store you get an email with the code and instructions on how to upgrade which includes the link to register.arena.net.
You can only use the beta slot during a beta event. There is no current active beta event.
You can’t buy HoT with gems, but you can buy it in game through the in game store. You have to pay with either credit card or PayPal and when you do so it automatically upgrades the account used during the purchase. This is what IC was referencing. You can however upgrade the standard version to deluxe with gems.
No thank you to the ida of making the potions a helmet skin. If that happened I couldn’t do things like this.
you can’t buy HoT in game to begin with! only the digital deluxe upg from standard.
False, you can buy the standard, deluxe or ultimate pre-purchase of HoT in game or through the web store. I bought mine in game.

How do I pre-purchase Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns?
If you’re buying Heart of Thorns for your own account, you can make your pre-purchase either on our website or within the game. Buying from within the game automatically applies the pre-purchase serial code to the account that’s logged in at the time, so if you’re buying Heart of Thorns for someone else, you’ll want to use buy.guildwars2.com instead

I have gw2 since first day of game. Just bought HOT standard edition today. Registered it. Log in. Only see beta slot. Scrolled around…no additional slot.
I guess some people are not getting it. Ticket submitted….zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/94582027-Heart-of-Thorns-Pre-Purchase-FAQ
All accounts that become eligible by July 9 will have their free character slot applied by July 10. Eligible accounts that are upgraded with a pre-purchase serial code after July 10 will receive their slots on a weekly basis after that.
So, buy the cheapest precursor off the TP and exchange it via the mystic forge for the most expensive one? Sounds like a plan!
It would be pointless to submit a ticket. Support is very busy and I seriously doubt they are going to take the time to make exceptions for people on an individual basis to unlock HoM skins. They may not even have to tools to do so even if they wanted to. You will just have to wait for it to be fixed like everyone else.
You should contact support about your display name. This is an error I have seen a few times.
If you purchased the expansion in game via the gem store your account is automatically upgraded but you should have still received an email with the serial code for your records. If you bought the expansion through the website store you should have received an email with the serial code and instructions for registering the expansion.

All support requests need to go through the website support form by following the support link which you can find at the top of the page.
When did you register your upgrade? If you registered it prior to today, July 10th you should have received the loyalty slot today. If you registered today they will be sending them out in stages:

I’m think it is indeed just the box with a code inside, but I can’t verify that. Some people like the box though because they collect them. Other’s may not have a method of payment available to them to allow them to make online purchases so a store bought copy is their only choice.
Pretty sure Dark is talking about this since they didn’t mention anything about a collector’s edition:
Can I pre-purchase through my favorite retailer?
Yes. Starting on June 23, 2015, you’ll be able to pre-purchase boxed and digital editions of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns from our official retail partners (additional retailers may be added during the pre-purchase period).
I have to admit, there are times where the system doesn’t do what it should do, and it would be good to have the option.
I’ve seen this happen to a few people in the past. That is obviously some kind of error. You should contact support as I’m almost certain they will help you in this case.
Sorry but that is the main perk of the pre-purchase. Can you imagine the rage from all the people that pre-purchased if everyone had access to the weekend beta?
Isn’t it funny though that ANet are getting people to pay money (pre-purchasing their product) just to render them a service (beta test their product).
If people are willing to pay for it, then it makes sense to me and doesn’t seem funny at all. Anet is a business after all.
Ask Support to transfer it to your main bank.
No please don’t bog down support with something they will not do. It clearly states in beta that everything gained will be removed at the end of beta. I seriosuly doubt they will start making exceptions for people based on an item they earned in beta and want to keep. Support is busy enough helping people with solvable problems. SP, after our recent adventure with the Ultimate edition you should know support has real issues to work on.

When purchasing HoT the core game is included for free for new customers/accounts. See below screen shot from the sales page. So if you as a new customer pre-purchased HoT you can start playing the core game as soon as you finish the download, will have access to HoT beta weekends, and will have the expansion when it is released.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
The core game is included free for new customers/accounts. If you pre-purchase HoT and apply it to your current account you get the expansion and all updates related to that expansion if that is what you mean by DLC. If by DLC you are talking about the Living Story, I imagine it will work like Season 2. When living story updates occur you get them for free by logging in during the episode, but if you miss logging in you will probably have the option to buy the episode from the gem store. Of course Anet could change that model as well.

If there are two methods, and one is demonstrably easier, the harder one is the “hard way” by default.
No kidding? I don’t think anyone on this forum including myself would have ever thought that. You are so wise. /sarcasm
It is still a silly idea to have a title called “I did it the hard way” for something that isn’t hard even when compared to other much more simple methods. That was my point.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
But it isn’t hard to level to 80 without boosts, tomes etc. So the title should be, “I leveled”.
A lucky drop.
Maybe you will get lucky and get one for Festivus.
how do you know if OP is not trying to get your money? he didnt prove anything yet
I don’t but there is no harm in being kind to someone when I can easily afford it. If the OP is truly trying to get my gold oh well. However, if the OP truly got burned by someone and I can help, I hope it makes things a tiny bit better. I’m willing to take that chance. Kindness often comes at a risk but it is a risk I am willing to live with.
Qayin to help offset the cost of you running into a not so friendly person I just sent you an in game mail with 7.5 gold. It is only half what you lost, but better than losing it all.
Sorry this happened but you should remove the display name from your post as naming and shaming is against forum rules. You reported the scam and that is all you can do. You won’t get your gold back. Anet may suspend the person based on evidence you provided but posting here will not result in any action against them.

Dungeon/fractal groups are unfriendly to players who don’t understand how to speed run/skip all the mobs and burn bosses. Everyone seems like an elitist.
Addressing this part of your post only. Start your own LFG, “All welcome” , “First time” , “No speed run”, “Just for fun.” etc. They will fill up quickly as there are thousands of players like you looking for the same thing.
It isn’t against the rules to start your own dungeon/fractal LFG based on what you are looking for and you should not be afraid to do so. You will be pleasantly surprised. Some of my favorite dungeon runs where from parties formed from positing, “All welcome.”

It will learn your IP range over time and it will not be that much of an issue once that occurs. That is unless you are connecting from different ISPs/locations regularly. Disabling email authentication puts your account at significant risk and you will need to contact support to do so. Would you rather deal with email authentication or have to deal with contacting support if your is account hacked, all your stuff is gone, and your account got banned because the hacker used your account to sell gold or bot? Then you will have to go through the whole process of proving ownership of the account, getting a roll back and all sorts of things that are not fun for people that have had their accounts hacked.
If it is a continued problem you may consider using the mobile authenticator if you have a phone that allows it.

You should be able to register the expansion at register.arena.net . Make sure you select the “Already have an account? Sign In” link if upgrading and then there will be an area to add your code.

When I bought the Ultimate I got the rewards via the in game mail after I logged out and back in. If you do no receive them by doing so and within a bit of time you will need to contact support.
They could use it to try to claim ownership of your account. You should do the following:
Scan your computer for virus/malware/key loggers as those sites often carry nasties.
Change the password for the email account associated with your GW2 account.
Change your GW2 password.
Contact support and let them know what happened so they can help secure your account.

Activity NPC location. If it doesn’t show up on the map for you it might be a bug. Consider posting in the bug report forum.
Good luck.

Not strange at all. I have seen posts from others with many more hours played and no prcursor drop. The good news is once the x-pac drops there will be ways to earn a precursor without pure RNG.
So, basically mounts. There are tons of threads on mounts. Here is the main one.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Mounts-merged/
They cannot be sold/traded. They are account bound. You can however gift them through the gem store using the gift option.
This seems to be an ongoing problem for many Mac customers as I see this problem posted often. I strongly suggest you contact support to let them know you are experiencing this problem. There is supposidly a Mac team at Anet so maybe they can help.
On a side note I’ve had this problem happen randomly at times but a restart or logging off as user usually fixed it. One time when that didn’t work I opened activity monitor and instead of forcing quit I choose “sample process” and that seemed to fix it. However, that was probably a coincedince and the process probably decided to start on its own while that was going on.
You can’t change your display name. Anet will change display names only if they are proven to reveal personal information about the person, for example using their real name, or if the display name violates ToS.
Display names are only unique in so far as the 4 digit number after the name which is generated when the account is created. Someone else could create an account with the name “nelsonong” as well, but it would have a different 4 digits after it.
Also you can’t just close your account. However, if your account is banned for some reason nelsonong.1269 would not be available for someone else, but nelsonong with a different 4 digits after would be available when someone chooses that as a display name.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
HoM rewards were disabled due to a bug a few months ago that awarded them to some people that didn’t earn them. Anet is still working on a fix.
What this thread needs is more people telling the OP the same thing almost everyone else in this thread has said but in different words.
Players will not be banned for using macros to play music.
Well if you can’t PM me for 2 days (never heard of that), my offer still stands when you can.
