Season 2 has ended. So if you purchase it you get the entire season. Of note, it was available for free to all players that logged in during each episode.
Oh and the complete season 2 pack is 1600 gems and contains 8 episodes.
It isn’t that expensive at all. I think they are selling the full pack for 400 gems, was on sale for 320.
I was going by what is listed in the wiki since I have never bought it myself:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Living_World_Season_2_Complete_Pack
So please forgive my error if that is the case.
Edit: Out of curiosity I looked it up on my alt account that has no season 2 unlocked. It looks like it is indeed on sale but down from 1600 gems to 1280 gems.

I have the sound off for them. I hear nothing. (Smiles happily).
How do you disable mini sounds? I can’t find that option.
I am 200th post
No you are not. You are post 162. Personally I hope the desire for a measly 10 gold isn’t what is keeping this thread alive.
The OP has a habit of posting such threads with some weird score system they assign themselves. I find it rather obnoxious and lacking of the humor I think the OP is attempting to accomplish.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
Bump. Kinda gonna keep bumping it until ANET addresses it or the forum mods tell me to stop.
While I think your cause is decent, if you are familiar with this forum you will notice that Anet very rarely responds to posts and suggestions. Bumping your thread like this will more than likely end up with it being closed instead of getting the response your are looking for.
Perhaps you should contact the forum specialist and see if they are willing to include your suggestion in their weekly report.

You can read more about it on the wiki if you are still trying to decide if it is worth purchasing:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Living_World_Season_2_Complete_Pack
It might contain some spoilers though. I’m not sure as I have not read all the way through it.

Season 2 is permanently added to your account once acquired. Season 1 is not available to purchase at this time and I’m not sure if it will be.
Please note at the bottom of the mail, as you even mentioned, where it specifically states it was sent by another player and not from the GW2 team. This means exactly what it states. Those mails are most often sent from other accounts that have been stolen.
See this sticky on the issue:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Please-Take-Care-with-In-Game-Mails/
Also if you visited that scam site you will probably want to run a full virus scan including looking for Malware and keyloggers as those site often cary nasties with them.
Lastly report the mail by clicking the exclamation icon in mail interface and block the sender.

I have many in game accomplishments. However, what I am most proud of is the time I have spent helping new players learn the game. I spend a lot of my time doing so and many people I have helped contact me on a regular basis to let me know how they are doing. They have grown, become big fans of the game, valuable members of the community and in several cases have surpassed what I have achieved myself. To me that is a great reward for my time spent.

Good luck with your new Guardian. A lot of people seem to prefer Human or Norn female characters so that isn’t anything unusual. Also I forgot to mention these threads which you might find useful as you begin your adventures:

They are still working on it. You can read more on the personal story in the wiki:
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
I don’t suggest ranger as a starting profession simply because in my opinion it teaches the new player some habits that can be considered bad later on in the game. It is a great profession for solo play but it is also too easy to get comfortable sitting back with your pet on agro and “pew pewing” with your long bow. This is not something that is desirable in many aspects of the game. However, if you want to just run around and check things out for a start then it is not a bad profession as long as you don’t get used to what I described earlier.
As for healer, there is no trinity in GW2, every profession can do a bit of everything. However, Guardians do offer great support skills in group events and are often highly sought after.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
Race doesn’t matter much outside of the first parts of the personal story because the skills assigned to each race are not really worth much and that’s by design. So go with what race you prefer as far as appearance and story line.
As far as guild, try the looking for sub-forum.
When I was new I had best luck with Guardian to get used to the game. They have good survivability and are not too complex. I’ve moved on to main a Mesmer since then but the Guardian helped me past the initial learning curve.
I have seen a few people suggest this before. It’s not a bad idea for people struggling to come up with a name and are not too picky. In the mean time there are some websites out there that will do this for you if you Google something like, “MMO random name generator”.
In the appropriate sub-forum. If it is a general game suggestion post it here. If it is PvP, WvW related and so forth then you would post your suggestion in the sub-forum related to your topic.
They have usually run the sales while they were at conventions. Maybe they will have another one when they are at E3 in mid June.
It should be enough of a reward that something you wanted added to the game was indeed added.
Today if a character name is bad , next logon you are asked to change it.
Why it’s not the same for the display name ? ok i had a bad display name but why i was not allowed to choose a new one to fix my error ? But instead , someone at A.net decided my new display name for me and also gave me a generous suspension of 72 hours during the third and last 2012 GW2 BETA Week-end event for this .. so i didn’t play at all.
So yeah .. i want to fix this .. im even ready to pay for it .
Fun times.
An offensive name will be changed — once — and it will be changed by a GM using an anagram system, so the user does not get the privilege of choosing the second name.
It seems Anet does not trust people that chose an inappropriate display name to act appropriately the second time. As also described in the link I provided there is a lot more attached to a display name (namely player reputation among other players and individual accountability) than a character name which anyone can change at any time with a simple name change contract.
You have to contact support. Follow the support link at the top of the page then the submit a request link located on the top right of that page.
You need to be signed up to the newsletter or you won’t get access to the beta. This was stated on the website.
Not true, people that got the portal were “guaranteed” access and the newsletter was not required.
https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/91220997-Heart-of-Thorns-Beta-FAQ
I found a “Portal to the Heart of Maguuma” but I’m not on the mailing list. Can I still get in to the next beta event?
Yes! You’ll be able to access the beta.
Our current test uses this method as well as the “Portal to the Heart of Maguuma,” an in-game item which had a chance to drop from enemies in Dry Top and the Silverwastes. Players who found this item are guaranteed a spot in the current closed beta test! Signing up for the newsletter is not required to access the beta test if you received one of these items.
Signing up for the newsletter was highly suggested though to receive information on how to participate in the beta event.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/closed-beta-testing-on-may-26/
If you obtained a portal to the Heart of Maguuma during the special event in Dry Top and the Silverwastes, you’ll receive an e-mail with all the details you’ll need to get started. Please ensure that you’ve signed up for our newsletter so that we can contact you!

If you deleted them or transmuted over them before the wardrobe system was in place they are gone for good.
They have had issues with other games doing this as well. Here is what Gaile requests if you run across such things:

Thanks for these notes. We’ve filed on this before and the ad was pulled. But it seems to have reappeared. If you could kindly post a direct link to the ad — not to where the ad leads but to the ad itself — we can investigate.

You should submit a support ticket immediately and let them know what happened. You already said you changed your passwords. However, you should also run a full virus scan that includes checking for Malware and keyloggers. Once done and if you are sure your system is clean you should once again change those passwords. Those sites often carry nasties with them.
Thanks I already did a scan. guess Ill open a ticket but not sure what for since I still have my accounts.
Just to make sure in the event they use the information you gave them on the scam site to try to claim your account.

You will have to continue your dialog with support. If you feel you your support ticket warrants further review you can post your ticket number with a brief description of your issue in this thread:

Separate emails for each account as your email address is tied to the individual account and also your username when logging into the game.
Someone upthread said “black norn aren’t possible” which is ridiculous because ANet wouldn’t have given us the option to make them dark skinned if that were legitimately the case.
Perhaps I am thinking of a different post but the individual I saw make a reference to what was not possible wasnt commenting on black norn but rather the possibility of a character having both human and norn ancestry. The two races cannot interbreed.
You just responded to a post well over a year old. I don’t think you will get any feedback from the person you quoted given the age of the post.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
I expect most of the posters are people that don’t read the forums regularly, get one of these threatening emails and run to the forum to ask, because the email scared them and they want reassurance that they aren’t in trouble.
Pretty much this. People read them and panic and post without viewing the rest of the forum, namely the sticky on this topic. Even people that have noted that the mail is from another player and not Anet often post here about it because it scares them. They want reassurance that their account is safe.
I seriously doubt there is any conspiracy from the people trying to scam behind such posts with screen caps. Only a very very foolish person would see a message on the forum such as, “Is this a scam?” then look at the screen cap, go out of their way to type in the very long url listed in the screen cap, visit the site and then fill out their information.
tl;dr It’s a panic response. It has been happening a lot more recently. I’m guessing this is due to more and more of the scam mails being sent out in the last few weeks.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
If you don’t have it in your email anymore you can still contact support for a password change. The serial code isn’t necessarily needed for support to help you as long as you can verify other account information.
The mostly send them from stolen accounts. Also it is your display name that it is sent to which is public.

The HoM rewards are currently locked for everyone due to a bug that gave rewards to people that didn’t earn them.
He is actually kinda funny, since so many of you actually fell for his trolling, that in itself is hilarious.
I don’t think many in this thread fell for it including myself. It was pretty obvious from the get go. Some of us just chose to call him out. Anyway this thread will most likely be closed or deleted once the mods wake up so anything beyond this is pointless.

Bad troll is bad.
OP, you sound like a complete clown. I don’t normally like comments like “Go back to WoW,” but I think for once this thread actually suits it. People who are new, or low level, should not be treated poorly or have “dominance” lorded over them by more experienced players.
You are ridiculous, and the fact that you’re even asking what a sign of experience and skill even is, makes you more ridiculous. Every word you say just demonstrates that you are a “newbie” yourself.
Picking the game up at launch, then leaving and coming back years later without a clue about what’s going on or how the game works, does not make you a “pioneer.” What a joke.
See this is the kind of behavior a veteran like me shouldn’t have to deal with.
You are not funny even if you think you are.

What if the OP’s mesmer name really was “Tree kitten” and not just something from the forum filter?
Then the OP would not have had a reason to post here because that name isn’t against the naming policy.

I’m not sure what the word was that was replaced by “kitten” in your post but since the forum filtered it, it is probably against ToS. The length of time you have had the name means nothing. It comes down to when it was caught by Anet. If you feel your name was taken away unjustly you can submit a support ticket.
