Right, thanks for sharing this JustTrogdor. Personally I’d much rather have those “quality of life” changes, because they stick to whatever you’re doing in the game and makes your gameplay experience less like a chore it currently feels like. Expansion content you’re going to play through once and then move on.
I agree. I have no problem with QoL suggestions even if they come after HoT no matter how boring they may seem to others. In fact I would think such things would arrive after HoT because I know that is the main focus at this time.

what’s the problem if people give it a go and there’s only a sample size of 10? Why get so upset about it? Sure it’s not statistically significant but who knows maybe it will get enough hype for Anet to look into it. And what is wrong with that?
I don’t see anyone here upset. That aside, the problem is that a small sample size most certainly will not generate “hype” for Anet to look into it. It’s just silly and a waste of time for all that participate. But hey, if you want to waste your time making videos farming a boss with 10 other people and post the results here, go for it. 
Heck, I’m not on either side of the issue. I just don’t think there is any value on the purposed experiment.

So your criteria for the system is broken is a possible outcome of the designed system, and this will show that further investigation needs to be done?
I give up. I now understand why the devs stopped responding to RNG broken threads. They realized long ago that the players have no idea what they are doing.
Pretty much this. The idea that 10-30 players farming the same world boss will provide data that may be worth further investigation is laughable at best.

I’m not sure how having a faulty purchase of GW1 would affect your GW2 account. The purchase process is completely separate and not necessarily connected to your at least 2 year old GW2 account. The only thing I can think of is if you linked your accounts while the purchase was in question.
I would not bank on any QoL stuff for HoT. From our PvE forum specialist.
The reason for my first post, is simply because they have a plan for what is going to be in HoT, and I’ve been specifically told by a producer, " what would you rather have, a lot of QoL changes, or some amazing things in HoT" this was paraphrased of course..
Why should players invest this much effort? The burden of proof that the RNG is working properly and fair is on Anet side.
They have all the data of every player because they keep very detailed logs of everything.This is a “put up or shut up” post directed at the whiners. Either put in the effort to get the data, or stop complaining. Asking Anet for the data is useless cause game companies are annoying and keep that kind of thing internal.
It may also attract the occasional science geek, like myself, who like graphs. Mmmmmm. Graphs.
Sorry but any data collected from what 10-30-50 accounts out of the 100’s of thousands or more GW2 active accounts isn’t going to resolve or prove anything. It would be laughed out of the scientific community if the results were attempted to be published.
You would need 100’s or even better yet 1000’s of accounts to even come close to achieving results that could be considered statistically significant.

After a character name is changed with the Name Change Contract, the previous name remains tied to your account for 24 hours. So if you change a character name, you may use the former name for a new character on the same account within 24 hours.

Maybe he bought it about the time they sent all those Golem Bankers out to replace the bugged ones. When mass-mailing, sometimes extras seem to get sent out.
That was what 5 months ago or so.

You didn’t offend me at all. I just posted information regarding what is included with the Heroic edition and what is not. Like I said, if you bought the Heroic edition and got a 2 week banker it must have been a bug of sorts. I guess you got lucky to receive an item that isn’t included with the Heroic edition.
The chest you get is a one time thing. You only receive it ONCE. Also, you don’t get the banker golem on every character. When I used mine from my Heroic Chest I never got a new one after creating my asura or norn characters. Nothing at all, you guys must be confusing Heroic for Digital Deluxe.

I did, I got a 2-week golem banker along with my choice of armor set and all that jazz. I deleted it a while back since it was virtually useless to me. Received it on my first character (Human Warrior named Myles Raines), took it out of my mail as soon as I chose my armor set (heavy).
Since the sales I have bought both a heroic edition and a DD edition. I never got a banker with the heroic edition. Maybe someone gifted you one, it was a bug, or you are mistaken. Heroic does not come with a banker.

I’ll go ahead and comment on this thread, as it seems to be the most recent of the HOM ones.
I’ll try to explain this without getting too technical, and some parts are probably going to have to be left out.
The bug that caused players to unlock achievements/skins/titles and achievement points was caused when the GW1 server that stores the HOM status talks to the GW2 server that controls new character creation. Basically it was sending bad data to the GW2 server, and unlocking achievements that should not have been unlocked.
This means that there were multiple problem points that need to be cleaned up. The first thing to be cleaned up was the bug that caused this to happen, and that was fixed within a few hours. However, the removal of the rewards is an entirely different problem.
We don’t have the tools to easily mass remove achievements/titles, which means it’s something that has to be developed. Unfortunately, this came at a time where our resources are tapped to the max, so it’s taking longer than we would like to fix this.
Thankfully (lol), when the HOM rewards bug was happening, the actual HOM was not accessible, and those players were not able to claim any other HOM entitlements…so the damage was somewhat limited.
We are working on this, I assure you, and we will remove the rewards from players that should not have received them. I do not have a timeframe, as modifying accounts at this type of level is not something we would ever take lightly, and as long as we keep a majority of the entitlements locked there is less for us to clean up.
Also another question that is kinda of topic. I see there is an expansion on its way. I have read up on this expansion on this site, but i have no clue what im reading lol.
In a noob kinda way, what will this expansion change or add in the game?? New items? More end game content? Upgraded animations or what?

As for advice about the forums, there is a little bit of truth in that. The forum can be a bit overwhelmed with people that like to complain about everything. It can be a bit of a bummer at times. It means a message must contain at least 15 characters so people add that to meet the requirement. However, it isn’t really true. See my next post. 
Though this still raises the question: why do current registrations of the CE get the bonuses, but original copies don’t? We all paid the same price. :/ Or original DD editions for that matter…
Because it is a promotion to draw in new customers. Did the edition you purchased say it would include any future upgrades? How many hours of game play have you had since you bought the game? Would you be willing to erase everything you have earned so far and start over for those items in current edition?

You won’t get any help here from Anet for Mac support based on what I have seen. Even when there was a Mac support forum there was little to no support even after Mac customers were assured there was a Mac support specialist. Said specialist has not responded to a Mac issue in 6 months. Your best bet is to submit a support ticket and make sure you mention you are a Mac customer.
Put them in your character inventory, change maps, and then you should be able to stack them. It’s an ongoing bug.

Someone else reported a similar issue yesterday and it looks like support helped them out.
I got one in Dry Top.
HoM merchant is disabled until anet will find a way to remove bugged achievements soooo even if you will get points you will not be able to buy skins.
This is an important point. They locked down HoM due to a bug that gave some GW2 players HoM rewards when they didn’t earn them. As of now there has been no announcement for when this will be fixed.

I think accidentally sold one to a vendor. I wasn’t keen on what the icon looked liked and was only looking for something that specifically stated it was for beta. I sold a bunch of stuff to a vendor, junk, trophies etc, and moved on. Later I saw the icon in another post and thought, “Hey that looks familiar.” LOL.
I’ve never messed with it because I don’t play instruments in game. Perhaps this site can be of help:
A key thing I left out of my first post though is that macros are only allowed for playing musical instruments. Any other use of macros in game can get you banned.

I agree. I think it was much better when we got nothing at all for our achievement points. 
The forum is not working as intended (see broken search function) and likely not open to custom things like you suggest due to a fall out between the forum contractor and Anet:
The problem is deep within the technology behind the forum structure itself. Yes, we had a search engine in the beginning, but it was broken by our forum contractor in the course of working on other things. We no longer have a relationship with that contractor or his company, and someone else is not able to step into the system and fix the search engine because (1) our programmers are tasked with other essential work, (2) the forums run on a web framework with which most of our programmers are not familiar and (3) we’re investigating other options for forums and it would not be prudent to pour money into hiring someone to fix this as a short-term solution.
Maybe that is something that might work in the future if Anet goes with some other forum software.

Anet will not discuss account issues with anyone but the account owner. Posting here asking for an answer related to your friend’s account will not accomplish anything

TL;dr: This change is coming, as soon as it can be scheduled and prioritized. Naturally, some matters that are higher on the priority list but this project will be scheduled as appropriate.
I’m not really sure what you don’t understand about that.
If you are talking about a GW 1 account, support is running very, very behind on those tickets with reports of a month or more to get a response. However, posting additional tickets actually slows response time. You should close all but your original ticket.
If you were in the previous beta do you still need to find this item?

Will not having the bonuses hurt me a lot?
Not having the bonuses won’t hurt you per se. But if you paid for them you should get them. Here are the bonuses that come with the Heroic edition, which is at this time the base edition.
- Suit of Legacy Armor – One time use for the armor class you choose. Since you seem new make sure you select the correct armor set for the armor class (heavy, medium, light) that you want. This is something I see people confuse often. Upon use it will be added to the wardrobe and can be used again for the same armor class via transmutation charges.
- Mithril Box – An extra storage “bag” for your character. Can only be used by one character at a time. If you choose to delete the character it is on make sure you put it in the bank first.

- 10 Experience Boosters – Self explanatory.
Like others have said when you finish the download login and see if you get those bonus items via in game mail when you create your first character. If not contact the retailer that sold the item to you.
