Ah. I took your statement as portals in general. Not the ranged portal casting and/or blink + portal combo Kasmeer has done.
My bad.
Player mesmers can make portals… It’s a huge thing with jumping puzzles.
But yes, Koro Sagewind at one point summoned a huge illusion, I’ve heard it called an illusion of the Eye of the North, an illusion of a mountain, OR an illusion the size of a mountain (or Eye of the North). But it did leave her blinded for a while.
Her final act while living was to summon a MASSIVE illusionary army which distracted and held the charr at bay for hours (hours to a day, I forget how long). She stumbled into the Ebon Vanguard blinded, and near death from it (her two guards missing, assumed killed).
1: That’s pretty much all was said on the matter.
2: Mesmers can read minds.
3: My issue was with how the example came across, colors or not. The example came across not as a “She used magic to do so” but “She knew the lady was lying because of this effect… which is something she’s not used to, doesn’t understand, or has little experience with.” If she sounds unsure (which the example definately came across as), that makes it not very solid…
Indeed, he likely simply has the most powerful zephyrite artifacts, and is keeping them away from the crash site and the looters that would come down on it. Zephyrites defending it or not.
Hence why they won’t say anything. So such knowledge isn’t spread or public.
There are a few GW:Beyond plots left open. There was the Lunatic Court lich? that appeared in Droknar’s Forge,
The lich was not lunatic court, she simply appeared during the halloween events.
But Logan said, he will not be returning to Kryta until it is safe. That was his answer to Caithe, when she asked him if he was going back to his queen.
So i don’t expect to see him in Kryta till the dragons are dead, unless he meant something else.
You ever stop to think he might mean permanently?
Like, once the dragons are dead, he’ll stop adventuring and ‘return to his queen’ for good.
Wintersday after the Jubilee, she EXPLICITLY says “Somebody knows something, we should talk to people. I’ll know if they are lying.”
She’s been working with Marjory for a bit, hangs out with her all the time, who says she didn’t pick something up?
Still “Cause mesmer” is one thing. But the example dialogue made it seem like something she HADn’t shared before, wasn’t sure about or didn’t understand it fully. If it had simply been a case of “Well, mesmer magic naturally picks up on lies. She was hiding something about that and I caught it.” it’s not bad.
Frankly, colors or otherwise, it’d make sense if it had been brought up before.
But if it’s brought up as something new or something she barely understands, IMO that causes the judgement to be very questionable.
“If you aren’t sure what they mean half the time, can we really be 100% sure that this lady knew more and was lying?”
If it’s supposed to be a blinding sandstorm/blizzard… not really. A small radius around my character for visibility yeah, but nothing major. I’ll go into drytop sometime later when I have free time to do more exploring on that front :P.
The dark room sections IMO are quite nice. My one complaint being that the mine has the platform the miners are on in the darkness, when they should be light with torches :P.
Because her saying “I saw colors dancing around the dying ladies face! She was lying!” would be so much more sensible then perhaps her picking up on things that may have been disguised by the wounds and near death status of the lady.
Using your line of dialogue, I then ask myself “Wait, if they flash by very quickly and randomly, how does Kasmeer know THIS flash of color means the lady was lying, instead of the fact the woman was literally seconds away from death?”
As ElysianEternity said, her saying that would’ve been akin to what Elysian said about Rox’s healing ability. Suddenly shoved forth with no priory explanation. We KNOW Kasmeer can tell when somebody lies. She mentioned it in Wintersday after the Jubilee!
Her suddenly going off about seeing colors that flash by quickly would make some of my characters (If I played them in that role of leader of biconics, which I don’t in storytelling personally) question her ability or sanity, besides perhaps my Asura who does practice some mesmer magic.
Her mentioning posture and eyes is believable and makes sense, Marjory may have missed those signs while trying to get answers and keep the lady awake and ALIVE. Suddenly mentioning that she saw a flash of color and that means the lady was lying is not so believable, and I’d honestly see the reaction of “Are you really sure it means that? She was dying after all…”
The sandstorm is quite nice.
edit: I was out actually taking screenshots of my ranger (pictured) in the sandstorm. I got annoyed when players randomly ran past me and lured an enemy into attacking me (I know it wasn’t intended, and just randomly running place to place) :P. Though I guess it’d been nice if perhaps the sandstorm effect was closer to the player.
My two screenshots feel as if my character is walking INTO or AWAY from the sandstorm, instead of being in the middle of it. Maybe it’s the camera being zoomed out that does that as well.

Hopefully they’re holed up in their capitals pretending to be useful from now on. If I want a group of simpering idiots to get in the way and put their own interpersonal drama before fighting the kitten war that threatens to wipe out all life, I’ll be sure to let them know.
Otherwise, I’ll get a group of actual professionals, rather than a flock of grandstanding adult children.
Only, they all fought to defend their fellows.
They simply (Logan, Rytlock, Zojja) refused to work with each other because they couldn’t stand each other. It’s actually a SMART move because would you want to go into Orr with somebody guarding you back who you don’t trust?
Actually wrong prim can corrupt all but syvari into such creatures zhaiten can raise just about anything but syvari you are assuming that mordy corrupts plants theres no evidence of any corruption from mordy yet, and its also stated that things can be corrupted by multiple dragons as well i promise mordy had a corruption wwwway before syvari popped up and dont get me started on the icebrood
“Jungle corruption.”
Being what’s called the jungle vines and overgrown husks and wolves.
Said husks being present at the caledon forest great jungle wurm.
We are heading into the Maguuma wastes, which borders the known resting and waking point of the JUNGLE dragon….
Fairly easy to connect the vines and plant creatures we fight to Mordi.
Talking to them after Victory or Death suggests, they will stick together and fight the other dragons. And Logan specified that he won’t be returning to Kryta until he knows it is safe.
Of course, they will likely be around once the next campaign against a dragon officially starts.
Until then, Rytlock and Logan have their jobs as high ranking leaders of their nation militaries.
Logan, IIRC, IS the top leader of the human Seraph forces.
Or the thorn was nothing more then a thorn… :P
Who says the Zephryites don’t have in their meditation something that shields them from mind reading?
Also, the “army of clones” AGAIN, game mechanics and balance. We know a mesmer can (at physical health cost) summon a huge army of illusions and MAINTAIN it for hours. Or summon a mountain sized illusion to distract foes. (Ebon Falcon mesmer, the latter just blinded her for a while, the first blinded her and drained her life force till she died from that or from a charr reaching her and wounding her).
Hell, as shown by a simply thing of maintaining an illusion of her dress, throughout the ENTIRE tower of nightmares, without it ever being broken (and that’s WITH Kasmeers nervous nature back then)… Yeah, Mesmers really are powerful. Game mechanics and balance temper things.
Just like for example, there is a human necromancer in an event chain who summons 3-5 flesh golems at once. players can summon one at a time. Balance.
edit: I understand your point, though I still believe “She heals them enough to not be at risk of dying before reaching a proper medic” isn’t some crazy thing. Cause even after that if you talked to Marjory and Kasmeer they talk about how she is still seriously messed up and really shouldn’t be fighting at ALL.
(edited by Kalavier.1097)
Where does “10 skritt completely overcome any Asuran knowledge” come from by the way?
@Kalavier
Uh, maybe you should read the OP about Kasmeer’s power and the ToN. It’s like right there.
And why she should mention it before? Answer: Coherent story telling.
I already said it’s not bad she knows it. It’s bad how her healing stuff was introduced.
Any healing-magic scenario in any story needs to be touched on before it becomes a plot-point.Otherwise you run into scenarios where it a) cheapens the sense of danger b) creates potential plot-holes a la “why can’t she heal xxx when she could heal yyy?” c) said kind of scenario can take up resources and time to elaborate on in following releases where they could have placed lines for other things, or even worse they end up being explained outside the game or not being explained at all.
(See, the last point has been kind of a general problem in LS1 so lets hope they catch on the general problem this creates.)And why bring it up outta the blue when you just cited 2 examples where her healing knowledge could have been demonstrated and touched on before? (Heck, Rox trying to heal people during the Tower of Nightmares and not succeeding since a special antitoxin was needed would have been even better since she didn’t even do much in the release back then :P )
Perhaps Tower of Nightmares is one of the first times Kasmeer used her magic in an offensive or combat situation? Still, “Gift” which basically any mesmer can do is kinda misleading. We’ve known mesmers can read minds.
Again(about Rox), it’s something known that rangers can do. It’s like having an elementalist have to explain being able to create a rock barrier using magic. Sure it’d be nice beforehand, but I don’t see how it’s jarring or plot breaking to have her do something we (especially GW1 players) have known rangers to be able to do.
In tower of nightmares, what wounded could she have helped? Anybody who was sick was directly from the toxins, which she’d been unable to do anything. And in Escape from LA/battle for LA, all the wounded were being sent to the field hospitals, while Rox was fighting alongside Braham during the escape, and stayed in the forward camp while the miasma cleared. Also the fact in tower of nightmares Rox and Braham only appeared in the torture rooms, which has led people to wonder if they were entirely illusions or actually there :P
Inquest are Asura and Asura are if nothing else REALLY intelligent.
Skritt would say no.
What do Skritt have to do with that statement?
They are intelligent (the Asura that is), now sometimes they don’t have wisdom to temper the intelligence or guide it in the right manner, but they have the smarts.
This brings to mind something…what if we’re missing a 3rd piece of the puzzle? What if an asura was added to the crew, one who was secretly Inquest? It seems a little too convenient for the ship to crash in Inquest territory, especially with crystals related to a dragon, which the Inquest are studying the energy of.
It’s not inquest territory, as there isn’t even an established base there. Just a sealed, empty old mine.
They simply swarmed the area after seeing the Sanctum crashed (or during the crash as they likely saw the explosions with a telescope or something, hence their ‘attack’ on the Seraph camp in tangle root)
(edited by Kalavier.1097)
Since the area we’re now venturing into is close to the site of Glint’s death, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some or all of them turn up later into Season Two. It may not be a happy reunion, though.
We are across the world from Glints Death. She died in the crystal desert (in the middle of the branded area in the desert), we are in the Maguuma wastes.
@Kalavier
So, how exactly is Mesmers reading minds a gift that’d only start for her with the ToN? :P
From the sound of it, it seems to be more a ‘special power’ than a talent at the typical mesmer mind-reading. Why else ask us to pay attention to it if it’s something ordinary that most mesmers could do?And ‘Rox is a ranger and therefore knows healing’ is a bit of a weak excuse and a poorly executed one on top in regards to the plot. We’ve never seen or heard of her casting magic before. By that logic, Braham could have healed himself because he’s a Guardian and they’re about support and healing moreso than rangers.
It’s more of a writing issue than “is it possible in lore?”
If they wanted to show Rox knowing life-saving healing magic, they should have alluded to it in some visible form prior, especially since that kind of magic doesn’t get brought up a lot in the plot and needs some explaining on its limits.
Since they didn’t do that, it has this Eleventh-hour-superpower miff to it.tl dr; Nothing wrong with Rox knowing that stuff. Much wrong with the execution of it.
Um, Mesmers read minds back in Edge of Destiny. Kasmeer said she could tell if somebody was lying way back before tower of nightmares.
How did it start with Tower of Nightmares?
Also, who says Rox used actual MAGIC, and not simple field medicine techniques but called it “Battlefield magic.”? I again, saw nothing wrong with it because her backstory and profession made perfect sense for her to know field medicine. And no scenes beforehand would really show it off and why would she mention it? IMO it’d be awkward if she just mentioned out of the blue “Oh, I know a bit of field medicine!” given other events. And Tower of nightmares and Battle of LA, there was the toxin and Miasma to deal with which would’ve been out of her ability to treat.
About Rox & healing: they were in the middle of a crash, knowing there would be lots of wounded above. I would’ve taken Rox and Kasmeer, no matter what that annoying freak Taimi suggested (in our story, as leaders of this sorry bunch we should be able to decide our team’s composition), no matter how heavy Rox is – which is laughable, since I’ve seen dozens of charr and norn run up those broken scaffolding and it didn’t give in under them.
Rox could’ve stabilized Morning, Kasmeer could’ve portaled her to safety, and we could’ve gently interrogated her in Prosperity. That’s what a well-functioning team would do in a situation like this. But knowing just who are writing these stories…
+ 1 to writers’ incompetence
Game mechanics. Dozens of norn standing on those bamboo beams would’ve caused issues realistically. Likewise, if the player was a larger norn or charr (especially in heavy armor), plus Rox, and Kasmeer, that could tip it in the weight factor.
Or the idea that if there were survivors up there, itd be best to have the most stable group for crossing it, because again, say the PC is a norn, then Rox and Kasmeer, carrying down morning, might just be enough weight to break the beams. Kasmeer could’ve portaled Morning to Rox if she had lasted a bit longer before dying.
Also the fact there are norn and charr Zephrites. What if a survivor was one of them? Norn PC, Rox, charr survivor, Kasmeer. A good bit of weight on an unstable structure of Bamboo.
It’s been 250 years. Many details can be lost in that period. Also, given how player characters can be tied back to GW1 (human characters, if the player had GW1 characters. However the other races can’t link to Gw1 player characters), OR they don’t because enough people never touched GW1, suddenly referencing a powerful ancestor or such doesn’t work.
That’s not even going into the problems that actually mentioning the name of the character would form.
Destiny’s Edge have their ‘day jobs’. Rytlock and Logan are busy with their roles in their nation militaries. Why would the player character mention or bring them up when they are basically unrelated to the situations at hand?
I thought it had to do with Mesmers having a thing for illusions and lies, like a kind of intuition since it’s their field but uhhh…
…that’s just as kittenpulled as Rox’s sudden ‘healing magic’ back on the breachmaker.Writers should either try do better with exposition and foreshadowing about stuff like this or leave it out before it develops into sue-stuff that needs to be explained in retrospect. Tho overall I agree with what Torsailr said.
Mesmers can read minds.
Also Rangers are well known for having healing abilities. How the heck is it odd for Rox to be able to perform field medic actions given it’s something rangers are known to do AND that she lost her entire warband before and was likely to learn some field medicine so she could save friends if they got hurt?
Also to Shiren, game mechanics mate. Kasmeer is not the most powerful Mesmer we’ve seen. I suppose you’ve forgotton about the Risen mesmer who placed an illusion over an entire force of Vigil (A very sizable force at that). Or the one who had every Risen inside the manor (Mouth of zhaitan) under an illusion. No, I don’t see her being the most powerful mesmer we’ve seen ingame, besides perhaps a note of “friendly” on there. Also the risen priestess of Lyssa, which would be IMO the most powerful mesmer we’ve seen ingame in actual fights.
“More clones then normal mesmers” = Game mechanics and player balance. We’ve had literally been told of cases where a mesmer summoned massive illusions at cost of physical health.
Removes the veil nobody else could… proof of that? Given how she was the only one who TRIED, and even then it took her a while.
Super long range portals… Doesn’t the mesmer portal have a decently long range anyway?
Contact by the mesmer collective because she’s special… proof of that? We have no idea why they contacted her besides wanting somebody to investigate the veil, no reason for her in particular at all is given. So, proof of them contacting her because “SPECIAL!”
(edited by Kalavier.1097)
I think Scarlet may have been a thirdborn actually. Because the Sylvari had a good bit established when she awoke apparently. Depending on the period between third and second generations, she could be either.
Not really. It’s in an area which the access route beforehand was secret passages known by bandits. Most everybody didn’t even know it exisisted.
Though about soundless. It’s because the Syvlari can ‘sense’ each other somewhat through the dream. A soundless doesn’t have that, so they can be sensed because of that.
Though I still think if he always had negative intentions, or neutral ones then went crazy, why is it so odd to consider the fact he might’ve been pretending and putting forth an act? Wouldn’t be the first time a Sylvari acted as if they were a dreamer to get close to something powerful.
Reading most of the answers here I understand why Arenanet is slacking so much and making this game less and less appealing, people just want to buy stuff on the gemstore without even trying to face hard content.
There is a difference between doing hard/challenging content, and giving awesome rewards for doing that, and placing a well liked item behind RNG.
RNG means somebody could get two of them in a week, while another farms the event constantly, every day that it’s active, and gets NOTHING. That isn’t appealing at all IMO.
If you make it so there is a set reward, IE, complete this challenging task and get this item, that’s fine. If you do a “Oh, well this drops from that challenging boss… On a very small chance…” that’s not as cool IMO.
(edited by Kalavier.1097)
“It havs n meaning or weight” According to you maybe.
But how would it have weight otherwise? How could they mention your characters past (Human noble/commoner/etc) in some way that’d make such a drastic weighty dialogue full of meaning?
How is the dialogue ‘token nods to your race’ that have no meaning? Marjory was a member of the Priory, what your name would’ve done is simply perhaps made it smoother.
I’m sorry, but I don’t see how all the dialogue is just token recognition with zero weight.
Again, you act as if it’s impossible that Aerin was acting one way in order to try to secure his passage on board for whatever reason. In general, people would trust the friendly, helpful dreamer Sylvari then the kinda secretive soundless.
Whether he was doing it for evil purposes or neutral reasons (but got corrupted), we don’t know. But I think it’s still very much on the table.
It’s not like humanity is the only race which can be sneaky and say one thing to try to get their objective. Hell, in Sylvari white stag storyline the nightmare court member did exactly that, pretending (or simply not making it clear he was nightmare) to be a dreamer, only to take the stag for Nightmare once they caught it.
Soundless are a group/village yes, but there is nothing saying you can’t be a ‘soundless’ and be elsewhere. Or that you can ONLY become a soundless by joining that village.
Quaggan master race. I would throw money at my computer screen if I could play as a quaggan.
It seems you either love them or hate them with no in between.
Quaggans can be adorable as much as they can be annoying.
I don’t see why everyone loves quaggans….. for real a norn or charr could just pick one up and throw it so far it would be dead on impact from the throw…..They are hardly any use cause they HATE to go rage mode to defend themselves. Seems they are useless in this world of constant danger and fighting.
Quaggans are just like hobbits. They wanna be left alone and leave the world alone, yet are forced out of their comfort zones.
Do note there is a village of Quaggans on the shores of Orr, WHO PURPOSEFULLY STAY THERE. To guide refugees streaming in from the deep waters to safer areas north. They don’t have to stay there in the hostile, poisoned waters, yet they choose to. Just like some villages in Frostgorge choose to stay there and fight/defend their land.
Of course, it could’ve happen during the trip. I mean, from the cliffes to the edge of the Maguuma wastes is a LONG distance, and could’ve been a hefty travel time. Maybe he became soundless during that period.
OR, maybe he was acting like he was an excited dreamer to be accepted more easily. Maybe he was soundless all along but figured doing the excited ‘naive’ Sylvari act would get him onboard quicker. Or he always had darker motivations and again, used that act to get himself onboard.
Also, I’ve never seen a THING that indicates you have to visit the soundless village to join the soundless (obviously to join the village you’d have to, but the soundless as a sylvari type? nope.). Scarlet isolated herself from the tree/dream yes, but she didn’t share the mindset of the soundless and went her own way. Aerin however, is an unknown.
Or Aerin just started it and wasn’t fully a ‘soundless’. Or something about that and the magic from glint caused a reaction in his mental state, twisting it.
Or whatever is behind the jungle corruption or Scarlet latched onto him as he started becoming soundless and altered his meditations.
(edited by Kalavier.1097)
Besides, Marjory told Belinda stories about your stuff in the personal story, and the others likely heard or knew of those stories as well.
Of course they are going to seriously consider and take advice from such a seasoned adventurer, especially since out of the five of them, only two have experiance. Marjory and Rox. Kasmeer and Braham are brand new to this stuff, and Taimi is a teenager.
Basically, we took a vacation after defeating Zhaitan, and ended up doing all the season 1 stuff. We’ve not actively commanded Pact forces for a year or two now, though as Belinda says, if they move against another dragon we’ll likely get called. The conflict with Jormag and Kralk are holding actions. Why are we needed to go babysit forces that were holding the line the entire time we fought Zhaitan and the Risen? Now if we were for example, actively pushing North into the far shiverpeaks, then I’d question why the Commander wasn’t called ‘back into service’. But they aren’t.
I hope it’s not a drop because then it will be rare, and way to expensive for those who can’t spend all the time ingame.
Also because a lot of people don’t have the time or will to constantly redo an event (Like Marionette or assault knights) over and over to try to get something. Lots of people just get bored if they try that.
“Shrugging off our identities” how?
Each human backstory has different dialogue with Belinda.
I’ve heard Asura get hailed and praised from Taimi for their personal story actions, and asked to co-author her book.
I’m unsure what the Charr/Norn/Sylvari get, but I plan to play through the LS with each race and at least each class (as Engineers get special dialogue).
A: That changes my statements, how?
B: And that affects the survivability of Ascalon, so point A.
C; Nope. I highly doubt the White mantle would care enough to hike all the way over there, since it’s such a far hike to the bloodstone. That and the fact they pretty much left the Ascalon settlement almost entirely alone during prophecies, and the first time I recall we hearing about them causing trouble for it was during the war in Kryta, when the White Mantle control was failing. Oh, and your statement doesn’t match up to prophecies either since the white Mantle WERE villians, but there were very good about keeping a friendly face forward, to the point where the heroes only believed it after seeing the White mantle slaughter chosen on the bloodstone really. People thought their kids were being sent off to study in a great temple, not be murdered. They believed it too, and given how it was only 2 or so years after the Mantle came to power, there wasn’t reason to doubt it yet.
D: That is Guild Wars Beyond, Gw1. How is it GW2?
1 – It’s thanks to him and his goods that we were able to defeat Scarlet. He provided the Lionguard with their equipment.
He was forced to do so by the Lionguard. Or be executed.
And who tried to rob him blind and/or execute him? Oh right, Kiel. She couldn’t even arm her own soldiers, and had to extort Evon. Not to mention she went on vacation during this time. No candidate is clean here.
Yep, she took a vacation to the planning room, and then back into LA to fight for it’s freedom and survival. Meanwhile Gnashblade sat on his butt complaining about them instead of doing anything.
That would mean, that Reed Stalkers etc. can in fact be left over Mordie minions…
Is a theory I wouldn’t mind really.
In my mind at the moment, soundless seem more open to whatever the corruption is in the jungle. Nightmare court and dreamers aren’t affected it seemed.
What if this is related to the darkness Faolin and Caithe found, but Faolin embraced it?
Nope. Belinda is a new npc since the living story. She wasn’t in Fort Salma at all before that.
I think he is just saying we would have had antiair cannons and shooting down aitherblade ships before they released the gas bomb that killed/ chased everyone out
Fun facts.
A: The aetherblade airships were low enough they’d have crashed into the city, meaning their cannon ammo and any miasma bombs would be landing in the middle of the city and scattered in the rubble.
B: The Aetherblades only released a third of the miasma. Anti Air cannons mean nothing when the Molten Alliance appear in the middle of the fort and toxic alliance swim out of the waters.
What do you mean?
Go to Prosperity, jump into the well.
And what’s that gotta do with the water?
I found the coin inside a while ago.
What do you mean?
My problem is that while abstract art is fine… it doesn’t really come across instantly as being anything in particular at least to me.
To protect his profit margin. Mind you he was in the first group of refugees to flee. Kiel fought on the breachmaker. Hobo-Tron has done more for the people of LA than Evon Gnashblade.
You say flee I say selflessly aiding in the evacuation, scouting the area ahead to ensure no danger would befall the civilians!
Yes, making sure no danger would befall the civilians by leaving them in his dust in the middle of the ruined gate hub!
I refuse to buy anything from the gemstore, so I really hope it’s an in-game item. I doubt it will though.
I don’t think you understand. Look at how many people in this thread alone want this weapon. We can safely say that a ton more will love this thing. This gets released as free in-game, and you can bet it will be on the TP at a much higher price in gold than you would’ve had to convert for gems :/
This. If it’s a drop like Scarlet’s rifle or something, it’ll be stupidly expensive.
Or he’s thirsty because he’s in a desert area with the closest water on the other side of a quickstand river… and he’s of an aquatic race.
That was my first thought when speaking with him, terrible place for a quaggan. Then he had no thanks for my gold. That’s when I walked inside the building and noticed it’s a bar..
Most bars serve water :P.
I mean, sure for all we know he could be a drunkard, or he simply could be hanging out at the one place which WILL give out drinks/water.
He sent her to Fort Salma to get reinforcements and more people sent to the area, so yes he deliberately sent her away to get more Seraph in the region instead of his small recon squad. :P
Also, the Centaur war isn’t as serious now as it was before. I’d say they are the lesser threat to Fort Salma right now as opposed to the tower cleanup.
Norn = They wanted to go someplace exotic and unknown.
Hell, about the “General populace didn’t know about it.” Consider how when the Seraph FIRST learned of it, it was because they found some bandits trading in copper and such, and started tracking them. They had no idea how to get past that area until the vines smashed open a pass.
I guess it could go either way. On one hand, he could take after Glint’s “you need to break a few eggs to make an omelet” style of peacemaking, or his mission as the leader of the Zephyrites takes precedence over everything else. Glint’s remains which they used to grow crystals is missing, possible child is missing, and any other sort of powerful relics as well. His job is to preserve those objects, so he could have left to take those to a safe place.
Actually, the crystal garden is the skill point. Unless it comments on stuff being missing and I missed that.
So what you’re saying is, nothing is happening?
Waypoints are a lore thing now. It doesn’t make sense for anyone to be en route to anywhere.
Waypoints are in the lore yes, but pretty much everybody just hikes the distance. Besides Logan and Taimi using waypoints to get to LA after the Marionette event, and the Pact using a waypoint to deploy reinforcements in Orr (At least in one camp in cursed shore, maybe elsewhere too), most people choose not to give their money to the Asura :P
Likewise how Gate travel is not free at all.
Also, it’s really mainly in LA any distrust of Sylvari exists.
