Ok, I’m officially lost, is there somewhere that describes this new feature in detail ? By day 1 server does that means the server you originally rolled on or the server your currently on when this thing goes live.

Your rewards are based on the server you’re on the day the league matchup starts. So between now and then, you can transfer wherever you want as long as it’s before this is added.

Anet, WHY would you add something as stupid as this??? This is just another reason for PVE carebears to populate winning servers and do absolutely nothing for it.

Devon said in another thread that your rewards are based on the server you’re on when the season starts, so that should help stop people from bandwagoning mid season, hopefully.

Yes, how dare people play the game differently from you….what do you care? Unless there are like a dozen people dueling when you have a queue to get in, it doesn’t really hurt your server to have a few people who aren’t actively trying to take objectives…

I would rather have the ones about Joe the Devourer and Oink….brings back memories of good times.

I found the biggest thing was to just pick up three pieces of meat asap then fight like normal, the meat makes a huge difference in dps.

You have the advantage of pulling enemies towards you. And you should use the signet of stone + bear anyways.

Even with signet of stone, or whatever else you do, the pet is always going to die, taking a significant portion of our dps (even if you’re not specced bm) with it.

I am determined to beat this on my Ranger.

I’m working on it too, though I kind of doubt I’ll be able to do enough dps with my current setup. It’s impossible to keep your pet alive for the full fight, between the aoe circles and the insta kill illusions, rangers have a pretty serious handicap for this fight.

The bank stays if you delete all your characters to move servers, yes. At least with the stuff in it, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen an anet post telling someone they could stash all their stuff, delete their characters, and move. I would imagine that your bank upgrades stay also, then.

I got all excited because I got a wooden chest drop earlier, but no. Just a vote token labeled in Chinese…

The horn notes work for the flute.

The flute is in the same key as the horn. There’s a thread on this forum titled “Marriner’s Horn” that has a fair number of songs, you can just go to that thread if you’re looking for something that’s not here.

It seems to me that it’s in the same key as the horn, so you can grab songs from that thread too. Sadness and Sorrow sounds really good on the flute, imo.

I agree that we need less pve’er zerglings around….but on the other hand as a solo roamer the vast majority of that type of player is super easy to 1v1.

Pretty sure with a recent patch they made the horn work in WvW, I’ve heard other people playing them now.

Zhaitan being the unique mini would be fantastic.

Something that I’ve seen brought up but haven’t had to deal with is ranger pets. Even if it kills them, they’ll just stupidly run around with torment, racking up the damage trying and failing to hit a moving target.

If we ever see Cantha in an expansion, I imagine Echovald is still around. It’d be pretty cool to see that with gw2’s engine.

I agree that it should be taken out, at least in WvW. It makes 2v1 or 3v1 way harder than it should be.

I’ve seen others playing in WvW and didn’t hear theirs, and when I’ve played at fightnight no one commented, so I’m fairly certain others still can’t hear them. Which is a shame, because the pieces you mentioned would be awesome.

So I have a Razer Blackwidow, it comes with 5 macro keys on the side. This means i can record songs once, and just use that button to play them in the future. Is this against the rules? My guildies have been warning me, and I don’t want to get in trouble. Does anyone know if this is allowed? I love the idea of having a Lord of the Rings button…especially since I paid 10 dollars for this virtual horn. I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me the official stance on this.

There have been threads asking the same thing, and from what I’ve seen it’s a bit of a grey area until we can get an anet response on it. The policy is generally one press one key activation, but there’s mention that that is so you don’t gain an unfair advantage over other players, which in this case you wouldn’t.

Just bought one, it’s pretty similar to the choir bell, except that you can hold notes now, and it sounds like a horn. In regards to not having pre-made tunes built in, learn to play, it’s not that kittence you get some practice in. And the gold price is still lower than unbreakable choir bells.

I can tell you that there have been times in WvW where I’ve tried pet swap stomps and had the animation play out with nothing happening.

As a solo roamer, I actually don’t mind when people lay there dead for a while. Actually, it’s good bait because people from their realm will see the dead icon on their minimap and come to ress them; and I can get more kills. So for me corpses = bait.

I found an akitten guy one time, killed him three or four times and he was killed by other people at least once. That defeated sign is a great lure.

It would be cool if there were pets we could get in ways similar to this. I like the way we got the black moa in gw1 (both the mini and the actual pet). It would be a lot more enjoyable and memorable to tame pets this way than to just randomly walk up to them and hit f.

Shame on a certain three people camping the cage room in tkitten jumping puzzle….not for camping but for actually letting me up and killing you all.

The lack of anything but greens ever dropping from the chests aside, I like them. Compared to never getting them, we get a decent amount of silver per chest, and the free sieges and badges are nice little additions. Again, they may not stack up to pve chests, but they’re a whole not better than nothing at all.

I agree, having been on both sides of population balance the last couple months. No matter how good your players are, if the other side has more people/better coverage, you’re going to lose.

My guess is that it was when they gave us “a new build will be available in the next hour or two” and then kicked us out six minutes later.

Sic em is really good even without the other stuff. I like to pop entangle the the cat stealth, then sic em, really melts people 1v1 if you can catch them in entangle.

Thieves don’t really give me much trouble, most of the time in 1v1 I kill them or they run away. The other day I killed a commander who happened to be a thief in a 1v1, he tried to heartseeker spam me to death, was hilarious.

I think it would be ideal to have a permission list for them, to allow guildies, party members, general people to use them or not to use them. That way if one person provides multiple golems you don’t have to worry about people getting them killed by wolves or zergs as tends to happen.

Hey, it’s my name in game that’s scribbled out…haven’t had that happen in a while. You can in fact lay dead for quite some time…I’ve been laying dead in the lord room of hills for over 10 minutes now so there’s a decent time period at least where you can stay dead.

I thought it would get better when they toned down retaliation but I still take about 370 damage per tick from it and it really adds up given how many people run guardian in large scale zerg fights.

Agreed with above. I generally roam by myself or with a few other people and take camps and occasionally join up with a zerg to take a keep or tower. With keeps I usually split off and pick off the people that tend to stream in to help defend, and take out yaks on longer sieges.

Bet there are loads that buys keys and open chests without knowing they can’t get the skins anymore.. Not everyone is on the website or forums everyday. Easy to miss out on stuff like that..

Except Frost and Flame is over for a while now. Those skins were tied to that living story. We have a new living story now with it’s own skins and means to get them. It’s only logical to assume F&F skins are no longer in BL chests.

Maybe….maybe they could gasp permanently add items from living story events to the chests? I see no reason other than to motivate people to buy chests now because what they want will no longer be available in the near future.
